Prevenção e vigilância em saúde do trabalhador: avanços e desafios no âmbito do Centro de Referência em Saúde do Trabalhador do Município do Rio de Janeiro / Worker health prevention and surveillance: advances and challenges within the Reference Center on Workers' Health in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro
This work came from understandingworker's health surveillance as a privileged instance in the transformation of health-work relationship and as a fundamental tool for the prevention of diseases and accidents. Thus, it was decided to investigate the actions of prevention and surveillance in workers' health carried out by the Reference Centre for workers' health of the city of Rio de Janeiro, and to analyze its main achievements and current challenges. This interest is based on the observation that it is a public institution of reference in dealing with the relationship between health and work, and it takes, or at least should take a leading role in the implementation of these actions in the SUS. Thus, the product of this work seeks to contribute to a critical reflection on the current conformation of workers' health surveillance activities in the city of Rio de Janeiro, questioning their real capacity to guarantee the prevention of harm to health. Therefore, we conducted a field study with a qualitative approach in the Reference Center for workers' health of the city of Rio de Janeiro, where the study of information built from documental and especially of semi-structured interviews with the technical the institution. The method of this research is based on the current philosophy of Dialectical Materialism Historical-tuned and the theoretical framework of the workers' health field. Qualitative analysis of the interview data was made through thematic content analysis, organizing the discussion through six categories previously constructed based on Decree 3.120/1998 approving the Instruction of Surveillance in the SUS workers' health.
