The book, written by Anne Tyler, won the National Book Critics Circle award in 1985 for the most distinguished work of fiction. The famous Lawrence Kasdan made a movie of it, starring William Hurt and Kathleen Turner. We saw this couple in one of the best films of the last decades Body Heat. So it was with great expectations that I went to see the film. Although everybody knows the saying "the book is better", in this case it is really so. The film is saved by the sparkling appearance of Geena Davis as a dog trainer. The character played by William Hurt gives us a perfect picture of Natrum muriaticum
