Background: Numerous studies have demonstrated the im-portance of interpersonal forgiveness after a specific offense for improving the health and well-being of individuals. Despite its importance, there is an evident lack of forgiveness evaluation instruments adapted to the Spanish context. The Enright Forgiveness Inventory (EFI-30) is the questionnaire that implements one of themost establishedand recognized theoretical models in thearea offorgiveness. The aim of the present study is to adapt the EFI-30 for the Spanish population and evaluate its psychometric prop-erties. Method: A sample of 426 undergraduate and graduate students (98 men, 328 women) aged from 18 to 30 years (M= 21.24; SD=2.91), com-pleted the EFI-30 after its adaptation to the Spanishcontext, as well as the Transgression Related Interpersonal Motivations Inventory (TRIM-18), the Remedial Strategies Scale (RSS) and the Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21). Results: The Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed a good fit tothe original six-factor structure (CFI=.91, TLI=.90, IFI=.91, RMSEA= .067). The reliability of these subscales and the instrument was similar to the original version. The results showed adequate criteria and convergent validity. Conclusions:The EFI-30 shows adequatepsycho-metric properties within the Spanish context and is an appropriate instru-ment for evaluating interpersonal forgiveness of a specific offense in re-search and clinical intervention.(AU)

Applied to theory, research, and intervention, the term psychosocial is defined as an approach characterized by the relationships of interdependence and mutual influence between the various levels of reality in which daily life takes place. This idea began to take its first steps with the events that gave rise to the social sciences, psychology among them. Applied to social intervention, the psychosocial perspective is based on a simple premise: psychology is legitimized as an instrument to serve human wellbeing, both in its personal and collective dimension. It recognizes the constructed nature of reality and the social order, with the purpose of trying to change it when it leaves psychological damage and social destruction in its wake, using the social scenarios (community, group) as the agent and objective of change.(AU)

Today, psychological health is a significant health concern. For this reason, it has been deemed essential to investigate how physical activity (PA) and sports can enhance psychological well-being (PWB). Consequently, this study aims to examine and comprehend how young adults perceive PWB through PA. This study's sample consists of 34 participants between the ages of 23 and 28. All participants in this study responded to semi-structured questionnaires that included photo-elicitation as a research technique. Young adults perceived physical activity and sports as a place to cultivate their PWB by emphasizing personal development, life purpose, and social relationships. In addition, the data analysis produced new dimensions such as liberty, self-assurance, and personal equilibrium. This study provides further information that will assist policymakers and researchers in developing effective PWB and mental health promotion programs and strategies for young adults and adolescents.(AU)

Psychological Well-Being, Mental Health and Patterns of Perceived Attachment: A Comparative Study between Mexicans and Americans during the COVID 19 Pandemic. A correlational and comparative study was carried out on Psychological Well-Being, elements of mental health, and Patterns of Perceived Attachment in Childhood as a possible protection variable in the COVID-19 pandemic. The total N was 316, of which 161 were Mexican students and 155 Americans. The instruments used were the Psychological Well-being Scale, the Depression Anxiety Stress Inventory, and the Inventory of Perceived Attachment Patterns During Childhood. The results show higher indicators of mental health impairment in young Mexicans compared to Americans: depression 76% vs 20.24%. anxiety 93% vs 38% and stress 68% vs 12.5%. In addition, average positive correlations were identified between Psychological Well-Being and secure attachment and negative correlations with the other forms of attachment. In the Americans, a low positive association was found between secure attachment and self-acceptance, positive relationships (the highest correlated), and the scales total. Similarly, disorganized, anxious, and avoidant attachment patterns are negatively correlated with self-acceptance, positive relationships, mastery of the environment, life purposes, and the total. Therefore, we consider that Patterns of Perceived Attachment in Childhood are associated with the elements of mental health such as: anxiety, depression, and stress, and with the levels of psychological well-being experienced during the pandemic. Finally, suggestions of other mediating and protective variables for future research are offered (AU)

In this theoretical review, I explore possibilities for the construction of a collective mental health paradigm. I conduct such review by distancing myself from positivist, functionalist, bi-omedical and individualist perspectives, while emphasizing the fundamental role of social de-termination processes conceived from a critical, intercultural and transdisciplinary stand-point. The procedure involved an exploratory review of sources entitled collective mental health (2016-2021) and the inclusion of additional key publications. Results indicate the im-portance of theorizing mental health in ways that are complex and dialectical; conducting an ecological contextualization of suffering; activating wellness strategies; and making perma-nent efforts towards reflexivity around interculturality and power relations. Explored possibil-ities highlight the essential contribution of Latin American critical epidemiology, in constant dialogue with other valuable knowledge. From such dialogic construction, a collective mental health paradigm emerges as a powerful alternative to address mental suffering in the context of social systems that make us ill. (AU)

Based on the nationwide sports event "Health Walk" held in Ji'an City, we divided the subjects into sports participation group and non-sports participation group to investigate the differences between the two groups in social avoidance and distress, psychological well-being, and mindfulness level. We also examined the mediating role of mindfulness and social avoidance and distress in whether to participate in sports activities and psychological well-being. In addition, we investigated citizens' approval of the government and their city, and collected basic information about the subjects. We used a 2 (sports participation, non-sports participation) * 2 (high social avoidance and distress, low social avoidance and distress) * 2 (high mindfulness level, low mindfulness level) mixed design. We measured the subjects using Watson's Social Avoidance and Distress Scale, the short version of Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire, the Chinese Short Version of the Five-Dimensional Mindfulness Scale, and general survey questionnaires. SPSS 27.0 and the PROCESS plug-in were used to process and analyze the data through descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, correlation analysis and mediation effect tests. The results showed that there were significant differences in social avoidance, distress, and mindfulness levels in whether to participate in sports activities (ps <0.001). Whether to participate in sports activities and psychological well-being were significantly correlated with mindfulness (t = 0.368, p <0.001; t = 0.250, p <0.01), and were significantly correlated with social avoidance and distress (t = -0.307, p <0.001; t = -0.443, p <0.001). Mindfulness and social avoidance fully mediated the influence of sports participation on psychological well-being (ps <0.001).(AU)

In this article we approach health and care from a holistic approach. The SARS-Cov-2syndemic, in addition to the effects on the health of many people, opened up a scenario of complexity, fears and uncertainties that prompted many to seek ways of self-care that could help them andallow them to cope. In this context, mindfulness, by integrating physical, mental, emotional andsocial aspects, offers a holistic way of taking care of oneself and improving the quality of life. In thisresearch we expose the experience of a mindfulness group through an ethnographic fieldwork tolearn how it has affected the care and well-being of its practitioners in a syndemic context. (AU)

The main objective of this longitudinal study, with two measurements, one before the lockdown (M1: March 28), and the other during the lockdown (M2: April 2026), using the same participants, is to determine the evolution of the hedonic and eudaimonic aspects of well-being and the effect of compulsory confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. The study was conducted online, participants completed the domains of the PERMA-Profiler well-being measureat both measurement times (M1 and M2) and the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-sR) measure of dispositional optimism at the first measurement (M1). The re-sults show significant relationships between all the well-being domains and the Overall Well-being (PERMA) score, similar at both measurements (M1 and M2). The comparison of the well-being domains score between the two measurements shows significant differences in Positive Emotion, Engagement, Meaning, and the Overall Well-being score; the score is higher at the first measurement (M1) than at the second measurement (M2). For the Negative Emotion domain, the score is higher during the lockdown (M2). Dispositional optimism has a moderation effect during the lockdown on the Accomplishment domain: the more optimistic the person is, the more their Accomplishment score increases. Gender also has a moderation effect during the lockdown on the Happiness domain: in men, the Happiness score increases during the lockdown and, in women, it decreases, when comparing both genders with their previous non confinement levels.(AU)

Physical activity, fruit and vegetable consumption, smoking, alcohol use, and sleep quality were selfeported. Life satisfaction was measured with the Cantril Self-Anchoring Striving Scale. Positive and negative affect were assessed using an abbreviated version of the Day Reconstruction Method. Multivariate regression analyses were performed. RESULTS: Healthy lifestyle behaviours (consumption of five or more servings of fruit and vegetables per day, moderate or high physical activity, being a non-daily smoker, and having a good sleep quality) were positively associated with evaluative well-being (ß=0.23 p<0.001; ß=0.16, p<0.001; ß=0.26, p<0.001; ß=0.23, p<0.001, respectively), after controlling for confounding variables such as health and depression. Good sleep quality was related with higher positive affect (ß=0.29, p<0.001), lower negative affect (ß=-0.15, p<0.001) and higher life satisfaction (ß=0.23, p<0.001), after adjusting for those confounding variables. CONCLUSIONS: A healthy lifestyle is an important correlate of well-being independently of its effects on health. Healthy lifestyles could be considered when developing strategies to improve not only the physical health, but also the well-being of the population.(AU)

The competitiveness of today's markets requires employees to do more than is formally expected from them by collaborating with others to benefit the organization (e.g., organizational citizenship behavior focused on individuals, OCB-I). Based on the idea that eudaimonic wellbeing positively influences OCB-I, and considering that positive emotions lead to optimal functioning and important work outcomes, this study analyzes the mediating role of positive emotions in the relationship between activity worthwhileness and OCB-I. Results of hierarchical regressions in a two-wave longitudinal study with a sample of 108 white collar employees show that activity worthwhileness indirectly (but not directly) explains change in OCB-I through positive emotions. Therefore, when it comes to improving performance in the workplace, investment in both hedonic and eudaimonic wellbeing contributes to more effectively benefitting both employees and organizations.(AU)

Practicing hot yoga may bring significant psychological benefits, but it is largely unstudied. We examined the effects of hot yoga on multifaceted well-being indicators with 290 healthy yoga-naïve volunteers partaking in a six-week randomized controlled trial. Participants completed questionnaires pre- and post-intervention, and reported their emotional experiences four times per day throughout an experience-sampling study. Results revealed that the hot yoga group (n = 137) improved their well-being from pre- to post-treatment, comparing to the wait-list control group (n = 153). These improvements included life satisfaction, general health, mindfulness, peace of mind, and eudaimonic well-being (ΔR2 ranging from .01 to .08)but not flourishing, which describes major aspects of social-psychological functioning. Multilevel analyses demonstrated that momentary positive emotional experiences increased significantly throughout the trial in the yoga group only (conditional R2 = .68), particularly when attending a yoga class (conditional R2 = .50). Interestingly, this increase in momentary positive emotion explained the improvement in post-intervention mindfulness, peace of mind, and general health by 21%, 31%, and 11%, respectively. Finally, the benefits of hot yoga were more notable in individuals with lower levels of baseline eudaimonic well-being (conditional R2 = .45), flourishing (conditional R2 = .61), and mental well-being (conditional R2 = .65), even after ruling out any possible ceiling effects. To sum up, this study demonstrated multiple psychological benefits of hot yoga and its potential to be an effective positive psychology intervention. Future researchespecially considering an active control groupis warranted. (AU)
(AU)
