iCAPS Initiative for coordinated antidotes procurement in the South-East Asia Region

Poisoning is a significant global public health problem. This manual provides clearguidance on the processes that need to be followed to ensure coordination andtimely response in cases of poisoning in the South-East Asia Region. There are twodifferent response pathways that can be initiated to respond to poisoning. Theemergency response pathway provides a fast, flexible and rapid delivery of antidoteto the patient in addition to appropriate clinical support. The planned joint annualprocurement pathway ensures that a well-planned annual order is procured bycountries based on the annual contract.
