RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study was to investigate the "Internet + rehabilitation guidance" under the theory of Information-Knowledge-Attitude-Practice (IKAP) in patients with esophageal cancer during the perioperative period and to analyze the influence on the short-term prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS: From April 2022 to February 2023, 118 patients who underwent radical esophagectomy in the First Hospital of Huai'an Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were enrolled using the convenience sampling method. They were divided into the IKAP group (59 cases) and the Control Group (Group C) (59 cases), according to the random number table method. The conventional intervention was performed during the perioperative period, and the IKAP group was also given "Internet + rehabilitation guidance" based on IKAP theory. The first postoperative defecation time, exhaust time, feeding time, discharge time, and postoperative complication rate of the two groups were compared. Meanwhile, blood samples were collected before surgery and 1, 3, 7, and 30 days after surgery (at outpatient review) for the detection of inflammatory factor indexes and nutritional indexes. RESULTS: Patients within the IKAP group showed a shorter first postoperative exhaust and defecation time, eating time, and hospital compared to the control group (p<0.05). Before surgery, there was no significant difference in serum inflammatory factors and nutritional indexes between the two groups (p>0.05). Comparing the levels of serum inflammatory factors in the two groups after surgery, the levels of CRP and IL-6 in the IKAP group were lower than those in the control group on days 1, 3, and 7 after surgery. After 30 days, the serum CRP level was found to be lower than the control group, but no statistical difference with the control level of serum IL-6 (p<0.05) was found. Compared with the serum nutritional index levels in the two groups: 1 d after surgery, the serum HGB, PA, and TRF levels were not different (p>0.05). The serum ALB level in the IKAP group was higher than that in the control group (p<0.05). Postoperative 3 d, 7 d, the serum levels of HGB, ALB, PA, and TRF in the IKAP group were higher than those in the control group (p<0.05). After 30 d, there was no statistical difference in serum HGB levels between the two groups (p<0.05); Serum ALB, PA, and TRF levels in the IKAP group were higher than those in the control group (p<0.05). From preoperative to 30 days after surgery, serum CRP and IL-6 levels in 2 groups were first increased and then decreased, while serum HGB, ALB, PA, and TRF levels were first decreased and then increased. After surgery, the IKAP group showed a greater incidence of complications in patients than in controls (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: In patients with esophageal cancer, perioperative "Internet + rehabilitation guidance" based on IKAP theory can effectively shorten the postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery time and rapidly reduce the inflammatory response, improving the nutritional status of the body, thereby reducing the risk of short-term postoperative complications.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: In order to solve the problem of image real-time processing and correction for high-speed endoscopic swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT), we highly optimize a computer-unified device architecture-based platform and use a field-programmable gate array to summarize the application experience. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We use the Half-Sync/Half-Asyn mode to optimize memory in order to build a high-throughput data thread pool for CPU. We use asynchronous streaming architecture to multiplex multiple threads at high speed to accelerate data processing. At the same time, we design a rotary scanning position information encoding feedback module to suppress image drift, which can realize 25ns logic-timing sequence synchronization control through FPGA 40MHz clock. RESULTS: The maximum complete attainable axial-scan-processing rate (including memory transfer and display of B-scan frames) is 3.52 MHz for a 16-bit pixel depth and A-scans/s of 1024 pixels. To our knowledge, this is the fastest processing rate reported to date with a single-chip graphical processing unit for SS-OCT. Finally, the established high-speed SS-OCT is used to image mouse esophagus and human fingers, and the output images are stable. When the image size is 1024 × 1024 pixels, the real-time imaging rate is 200 frames per second. CONCLUSIONS: This paper develops a real-time image processing and reconstruction technology suitable for high-throughput SS-OCT systems, which can have high-density operation and efficient parallelism, while suppressing high-speed image drift. It lays the foundation for the non-destructive, in vivo, non-staining, fast and convenient early tumor diagnosis of high-speed endoscopic SS-OCT.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Our aim is to characterize patients with pruritus in type 2 diabetes, determine independent risk factors and explore the impact of the psychological condition of these patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a retrospective study. From October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021, 944 individuals with T2DM who had medical treatment were identified from the database. Electronic medical record information including patient characteristics, complications, laboratory data, and medication usage was obtained from the database. Propensity score matching, univariate analysis and a multivariable logistic regression model were used in this study. Based on observation, we discussed the psychological impact of pruritus on these patients. RESULTS: There were 97 patients with T2DM who suffered from pruritus. After propensity score matching based on age, gender, and family history of diabetes etc., 97 pairs of subjects were matched. 97 patients were categorized as the Pruritus group and 97 patients as the Non-pruritus group. In univariate analysis, there were 5 variables significantly related to pruritus, including BMI, absolute eosinophils, percentage of eosinophils, diabetic kidney disease, diabetic retinopathy. After multivariable logistic regression, BMI (OR 1.094, 95%CI 1.010-1.185) and diabetic retinopathy (OR 2.440, 95%CI 1.229-4.847) were considered significant. Patients with pruritus in T2DM suffer greatly in psychological condition in many ways. CONCLUSIONS: For patients with pruritus complicated by T2DM, BMI and diabetic retinopathy may be independent risk factors. Mental health problems such as anxiety and depression might exacerbate by pruritus. The intimate partner relationship was also challenged due to the restless sleep caused by their partner. Frequent monitoring of BMI and diabetic retinopathy and psychological assessment may be warranted in these patients.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Difference in pathologic complete response (pCR) rate after neoadjuvant chemotherapy does not capture the impact of treatment on downstaging of residual cancer in the experimental arm. We developed a method to compare the entire distribution of residual cancer burden (RCB) values between clinical trial arms to better quantify the differences in cytotoxic efficacy of treatments. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The Treatment Efficacy Score (TES) reflects the area between the weighted cumulative distribution functions of RCB values from two trial arms. TES is based on a modified Kolmogorov-Smirnov test with added weight function to capture the importance of high RCB values and uses the area under the difference between two distribution functions as a statistical metric. The higher the TES the greater the shift to lower RCB values in the experimental arm. We developed TES from the durvalumab + olaparib arm (n = 72) and corresponding controls (n = 282) of the I-SPY2 trial. The 11 other experimental arms and control cohorts (n = 947) were used as validation sets to assess the performance of TES. We compared TES to Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Mann-Whitney, and Fisher's exact tests to identify trial arms with higher cytotoxic efficacy and assessed associations with trial arm level survival differences. Significance was assessed with a permutation test. RESULTS: In the validation set, TES identified arms with a higher pCR rate but was more accurate to identify regimens as less effective if treatment did not reduce the frequency of high RCB values, even if the pCR rate improved. The correlation between TES and survival was higher than the correlation between the pCR rate difference and survival. CONCLUSIONS: TES quantifies the difference between the entire distribution of pathologic responses observed in trial arms and could serve as a better early surrogate to predict trial arm level survival differences than pCR rate difference alone.

RESUMO

Effective prevention of chronic postoperative pain is an important clinical goal, informed by a growing body of studies. Peri-operative regional anaesthesia remains one of the most important tools in the multimodal analgesic toolbox, blocking injury-induced activation and sensitisation of both the peripheral and central nervous system. We review the definition and taxonomy of chronic postoperative pain, its mechanistic basis and the most recent evidence for the preventative potential of multimodal analgesia, with a special focus on regional anaesthesia. While regional anaesthesia targets several important aspects of the mechanistic pathway leading to chronic postoperative pain, evidence for its efficacy is still mixed, possibly owing to the heterogeneity of risk profiles within the surgical patient, but also to variation in techniques and medications reported in the literature.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study was to evaluate white spot lesion (WSL) remineralization and fluoride uptake by the application of fluoride varnishes directly onto artificial WSLs in vitro. METHODS: MI varnish containing casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) and 2.26% fluoride and Duraphat varnish containing 2.26% fluoride (no added calcium) were compared with a placebo varnish (no added calcium or fluoride). Two WSLs were prepared in enamel slabs and varnish applied to cover one of the two lesions. Each slab was immersed in artificial saliva for 14 days at 37°C. Mineral content was determined using transverse microradiography and fluoride uptake using electron probe microanalysis. The data were statistically analysed using a linear mixed model. RESULTS: Both MI and Duraphat varnishes significantly remineralized the covered and uncovered WSLs when compared with the placebo varnish (P < 0.001). The WSLs covered with varnish showed greater remineralization than those uncovered. MI varnish produced the highest level of remineralization and significantly greater fluoride uptake (0.44 ± 0.08 wt%) compared with Duraphat (0.24 ± 0.03 wt%) and the placebo varnish (0.06 ± 0.05 wt%). CONCLUSION: Varnish containing fluoride and CPP-ACP was superior to varnish containing fluoride alone in promoting WSL remineralization and fluoride uptake.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Endometrial cancer (EC) is one of the most frequent malignant with high incidence worldwide. The poor prognosis of EC is mainly due to the lack of efficient treatment and diagnosis. The biological role of microRNA-1271 (miR-1271) in EC is still unknown. In the current research, we mainly aimed to figure out the role of miR-1271 in EC progression. PATIENTS AND METHODS: MiR-1271 expression in EC was evaluated by quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) assay. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and colony formation assay were employed to examine cell proliferation ability. Transwell assay and Matrigel assay were conducted to detect cell migration and invasion. Bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter gene assay were employed to predict and verify the target genes of miR-1271. The protein level of lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA) was assessed by Western blotting with normalization to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH). RESULTS: MiR-1271 was downregulated in EC through qRT-PCR determination. CCK-8 assay and colony formation assay indicated that over-expression of miR-1271 suppressed cell proliferation in EC. Through the transwell assay and Matrigel assay, the data indicated that miR-1271 suppressed cell migration and invasion. By bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter gene assay, LDHA was verified to be a direct downstream target of miR-1271. In the rescue assay, it was proved that miR-1271 inhibited cell proliferation and metastasis by regulating LDHA in EC. CONCLUSIONS: We showed that miR-1271 functioned as a tumor suppressor in EC by targeting LDHA, which may bring a novel insight for developing novel biomarkers and treatment strategies in EC.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Asthma is the most common chronic airway inflammatory disease. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) exerts a crucial effect on regulating chronic inflammatory responses. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effect of SIRT1 on the pathogenesis of asthma. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Serum level of SIRT1 in asthma patients and healthy controls was detected by Western blot. Correlation between SIRT1 level and pulmonary function in asthma patients was analyzed. Subsequently, asthma model in mouse was established. Primary airway epithelial cells were extracted from asthma mice and control mice to detect SIRT1 level. Furthermore, relative levels of Akt and interleukin 6 (IL-6) were detected in 16HBE cells. Regulatory effects of Akt on SIRT1 in 16HBE cells were determined as well. RESULTS: SIRT1 was highly expressed in serum of asthma patients, which was negatively correlated with FEV1/FVC (r=-0.27, **p<0.01). Both mRNA and protein levels of SIRT1 were downregulated in primary airway epithelial cells extracted from asthma mice compared with those from controls. SIRT1 knockdown in 16HBE cells upregulated IL-6 expression, which was reversed by Akt inhibitors. CONCLUSIONS: SIRT1 regulates IL-6 level via Akt pathway, thereafter affecting pulmonary function in asthma patients.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: LncRNA HULC has been proved to have important functions in the pathogenesis of several types of cancers. While its involvement in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which is one of the most common malignancies, still hasn't been reported to date. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the role of HULC in NSCLC and to explore the possible mechanisms. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Tumor tissues and adjacent healthy tissues were collected from NSCLC patients, and blood samples were collected from both NSCLC patients and healthy controls. Expression of HULU in those tissues was detected by qRT-PCR. All patients were followed up for 5 years. Diagnostic and prognostic values of serum HULU for NSCLC were investigated by ROC curve analysis and survival curve analysis, respectively. HULC overexpression NSCLC cell lines were established and its effects on cell proliferation as well as apoptosis were investigated by CCK-8 assay and MTT assay, respectively. Effects of HULC overexpression on sphingosine kinase 1 (SPHK1) and its downstream PI3K/Akt pathway were investigated by Western blot. RESULTS: HULC expression level was increased in tumor tissues compared with adjacent healthy tissues in most patients. Serum level of HULC was higher in cancer patients than that in healthy control. Serum level of HULC was increased with the increased stage of primary tumor (T stage). Serum HULC can be used to accurately predict NSCLC and its prognosis. HULC overexpression promoted tumor cell proliferation, but inhibited cell apoptosis. HULC overexpression also increased expression level of SPHK1 and phosphorylation level of Akt in NSCLC cell, but showed on significant effects on Akt expression. Treatment with SPHK1 inhibitor and Akt reduced the effects of HULC overexpression on proliferation and apoptosis of NSCLC cells. But the treatment showed no significant effects on HULC expression. SPHK1 inhibitor treatment inhibited phosphorylation of Akt, while Akt inhibitor treatment showed no significant effects on SPHK1 expression. CONCLUSIONS: LncRNA HULC overexpression can promote NSCLC cell proliferation and inhibit cell apoptosis by up-regulating sphingosine kinase 1 (SPHK1) and further induce the activation of its downstream PI3K/Akt pathway.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between blood lipid profiles and osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A comprehensive search of the literature related to lipid profiles and postmenopausal osteoporosis was conducted in Wanfang Database, CNKI, PubMed (1950-2015) and EMBASE (1974-2015). Appropriate studies were selected according to pre-defined exclusion criteria, and the levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) were compared between osteoporosis and normal density groups. Statistical analysis was performed using RevMan5.3. RESULTS: Ten published articles were selected for meta-analysis. The results showed that the levels of HDL, LDL, TC were higher in the osteoporosis group than the normal density group, whereas the levels of TG were lower in the osteoporosis group (HDL: MD = 2.63, 95% CI: 0.43 to 4.84, p = 0.02; LDL: MD = 9.67, 95% CI: -0.10 to 19.44, p = 0.0532; TG: MD = -0.42, 95% CI: -17.52 to 16.67, p = 0.96; TC: MD = 14.82, 95% CI: 2.84 to 26.80, p = 0.02). There was no statistical difference in LDL and TG. CONCLUSIONS: The serum levels of HDL and TC are higher in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients, and may thus be potentially useful indicators to reflect the process of osteoporosis in these women. More research is needed to determine the relationship between LDL, TG and postmenopausal osteoporosis.

RESUMO

K326 and HD represent major tobacco cultivars in China, which required large N fertiliser input but at different application rates. To understand primary components affecting tobacco N use physiology, we adopted these two varieties as valuable genetic material to assess their growth response to N nutrition. We established a hydroponic culture system to grow plants supplied with different N regimes. Plant biomass, N, ammonium, nitrate, arginine, GS and NR activity, N transfer and use efficiency as well as root uptake were examined. Our data revealed the preference of K326 and HD to utilise nitrate or ammonium nitrate but not ammonium alone, with 2 mm N supply probably sufficient and economical to achieve good biomass production at the vegetative stage. Moreover, both varieties were very sensitive to ammonium, perhaps due to lack of or abnormal signalling related to nitrate and/or arginine rather than impairment of N acquisition and initial assimilation; this was supported by measurements of the plant content of N, ammonium and activities of GS and NR. Notably, short-term 15 N root influx studies identified differential uptake kinetics of K326 and HD, with distinct affinities and transport rates for ammonium and nitrate. The data suggest that the growth adaptation of K326 or HD to higher or lower N may be ascribed to different competences for effective N uptake/translocation and assimilation. Thus, our work provides valuable information to prompt deeper investigation of the molecular basis controlling plant N use efficiency.

RESUMO

Exposure to addictive drugs triggers synaptic plasticity in reward-related brain regions, such as the midbrain, nucleus accumbens and the prefrontal cortex. Effects of chronic drug exposure on other brain areas have not been fully investigated. Here, we characterize synaptic plasticity in motor cortex after methamphetamine self-administration in rats. We show that this causes a loss of corticostriatal plasticity in rat brain slices and impaired motor learning in the rotarod task. These findings are paralleled by the observation of a lack of transcranial magnetic stimulation-induced potentiation or depression of motor evoked potentials in human patients with addiction, along with poor performance in rotary pursuit task. Taken together, our results suggest that chronic methamphetamine use can affect behavioral performance via drug-evoked synaptic plasticity occluding physiological motor learning.

RESUMO

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection has been documented as a risk factor for non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). However, there are few large cohort studies, and there is no report about the impact of HBV vaccination. We conducted this study to evaluate these issues. We used the nationwide cohort of the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database for 1997-2013. We compared the incidence and the risk of developing NHL and CD20+ aggressive lymphoma between HBV and non-HBV cohorts. The hazard ratios (HRs) were computed using Cox proportional hazards models. We matched these two large cohorts to reconfirm the data. We also compared the incidence of NHL between cohorts born before and after the inception of universal HBV vaccination. We found that HBV infection increased the risk for developing NHL and CD20+ aggressive lymphoma, with HRs of 4.14 and 5.52, with a higher incidence of 17.07 and 13.9 per 100 000 person-years, respectively, compared to the non-HBV cohort. The incidence of NHL in the cohort born in the era before universal HBV vaccination was higher with 1.85 per 100 000 person-years compared to 0.74 in the cohort born later aged younger than 20. Our study confirms that HBV confers a greater risk for developing NHL, especially CD20+ aggressive lymphoma. The impact of HBV vaccination is protective against lymphoma development in the teenagers in an endemic area, but longer follow-up is needed for older age.

RESUMO

The occurrence of osteoporosis in tuberculosis, a chronic infection, has rarely been evaluated. In this study, we found significantly higher incidence rates of osteoporosis (Adjusted hazard ratio (AHR) 1.82) and osteoporotic fracture (AHR 2.33) in tuberculosis patients than matched cohorts, which suggest that osteoporosis screening should be considered in tuberculosis patients' follow-up program. The aim of this study is to determine the occurrence of incident osteoporosis in patients who completed anti-tuberculosis (TB) treatment. INTRODUCTION: Chronic inflammatory disorders are associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis. Although TB is an infectious disease characterized by systemic inflammatory responses, the impact of active TB on incident osteoporosis is unclear. We used the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database to investigate the association between history of active TB and incident osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture. METHODS: In this nationwide retrospective cohort study, active TB patients and their age- and sex-matched controls were identified from the National Health Insurance Research Database in Taiwan during 2000-2012. The occurrence of incident osteoporosis, osteoporotic fractures, and risk factors associated with osteoporosis among TB patients and matched controls were analyzed. RESULTS: We observed incident osteoporosis in 2.2% (n = 86) of the TB patients and in 1.1% (n = 162) of the matched controls. The incidence rate of osteoporosis was 4.31 and 1.80 per 1000 person-years, which was significantly higher in TB patients (p < 0.001). In multivariate analysis, TB was an independent risk factor for osteoporosis. The other independent factors associated with osteoporosis were older age, female sex, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and lower income. Moreover, we demonstrated that the occurrence of osteoporotic fracture was significantly higher in TB patients. CONCLUSIONS: Patients with a history of active TB have a higher incidence rate of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Familial eosinophilia (FE) is a rare autosomal dominant inherited disorder characterized by the presence of lifelong peripheral eosinophilia (>1500/µL). Mapped to chromosome 5q31-q33, the genetic cause of FE is unknown, and prior studies have failed to demonstrate a primary abnormality in the eosinophil lineage. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to identify the cells driving the eosinophilia in FE. METHODS: Microarray analysis and real-time PCR were used to examine transcriptional differences in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), and in purified cell subsets from affected and unaffected family members belonging to a single large kindred. Cytokine levels in serum and PBMC culture supernatants were assessed by suspension array multiplexed immunoassays. RESULTS: Whereas IL-5 mRNA expression was significantly increased in freshly isolated PBMC from affected family members, this was not accompanied by increased mRNA expression of other Th2 cytokines (IL-4 or IL-13). Serum levels of IL-5 and IL-5 receptor α, but not IgE, were similarly increased in affected family members. Of note, IL-5 mRNA expression was significantly increased in purified CD3+ CD4+, CD14+, CD19+, and ILC2 cells from affected family members, as were IL-5 protein levels in supernatants from both stimulated PBMC and ILC2 cultures. CONCLUSIONS: These data are consistent with the hypothesis that the eosinophilia in FE is secondary to dysregulation of IL-5 production in PBMC (and their component subsets).

RESUMO

This study was performed to investigate the incidence of and risk factors for postoperative cleft relapse and oronasal fistula after Furlow palatoplasty in infants. Sixty-two infants with cleft palate, aged 6-12 months (mean 8.25 months), who underwent cleft repair by Furlow double opposing Z-plasty between March 2012 and August 2014, were enrolled in the study. Risk factors for postoperative cleft relapse and oronasal fistula after Furlow palatoplasty were identified by logistic regression analysis. The incidence rates of cleft relapse at 1 week and oronasal fistula at 3 months after surgery were 24.2% (15/62) and 9.7% (6/62), respectively. Among all of the variables screened, only the width of the cleft was significantly associated with the incidence of postoperative cleft relapse (P=0.001) and oronasal fistula (P=0.011); the incidence rates were positively correlated with the width of the cleft when it exceeded 6.8mm and 7.5mm, respectively. Based on these findings, in order to reduce the incidence of postoperative cleft relapse and oronasal fistula, Furlow repair is not recommended for patients with wide clefts. An appropriate angle between the Z-flap incision and the central axis, use of a bilateral relaxation incision, and postoperative nursing care can help reduce the incidence of postoperative cleft relapse.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a high morbidity disease in China. The aim of this study was to explore the latest distribution of HCV genotypes in China, mainly focusing on epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of HCV genotype 1 in Chinese Han population. PATIENTS AND METHODS: 793 HCV-positive patients were enrolled from 21 hospitals across China. The association of epidemiological data with HCV genotype 1 and the potential risk factors was analyzed using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis. RESULTS: The HCV genotype 1b was detected in 66.9% of 793 patients. The way of infection, disease course, HCV RNA level, history of blood transfusion and smoking were found to be significantly different between patients infected with HCV genotype 1 and non-genotype 1. The result of univariate logistic regression analysis showed that HCV genotype 1 infection has a close relationship with age, gender, smoking history, the way of infection, allergy, disease course, and HCV RNA level. Moreover, the HCV RNA level, disease course, and blood transfusion history were the related risk factors for infection of HCV genotype 1 as demonstrated by multivariate logistic regression analysis. CONCLUSIONS: The HCV genotype 1 was still the main genotype of HCV infection in China. We should intensify HCV screening for those people who aged over 50 years and had a history of blood transfusion in China. The treatment of genotype 1 should be paid more attention in antiviral of HCV.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: As an invasive cancer, breast cancer is the most common tumour in women and is with high mortality. To study the mechanisms of HER2-positive breast cancer, we analyzed microarray of GSE52194. MATERIALS AND METHODS: GSE52194 was downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus including 5 HER2-positive breast cancer samples and 3 normal breast samples. Using cuffdiff software, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs (DE-lncRNAs) were screened. Functions of the DEGs were analyzed by Gene Ontology (GO) and pathway enrichment analyses. Then, protein-protein interaction (PPI) network of the DEGs was constructed using Cytoscape and modules of the PPI network were screened by CFinder. Moreover, lncRNA-DEG pairs were screened. RESULTS: Total 209 lncRNA transcriptions were predicted, and 996 differentially expressed transcriptions were screened. Besides, FOS had interaction relationships with EGR1 and SOD2 separately in module E and F of the PPI network for the DEGs. Moreover, there were many lncRNA-DEG pairs (e.g. TCONS_00003876-EGR1, TCONS_00003876-FOS, lnc-HOXC4-3:1-FOS, lnc-HOXC4-3:1-BCL6B, lnc-TEAD4-1:1-FOS and lnc-TEAD4-1:1-BCL6B), meanwhile, co-expressed DEGs of TCONS_00003876, lnc-HOXC4-3:1 and lnc-TEAD4-1:1 were enriched in p53 signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway and cancer-related pathways, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: ANXA1, EGR1, BCL6, SOD2, FOS, TCONS_00003876, lnc-HOXC4-3:1 and lnc-TEAD4-1:1 might play a role in HER2-positive breast cancer.
