O tema da participação e as bases teórico-políticas do serviço social / Theoretical-politics foundations of social service and the participation theme

RESUMO

O presente trabalho objetiva conhecer de que forma o tema da participação perpassa as bases teórico-políticas do Serviço Social. Este tema ganha relevância na atualidade uma vez que o termo participação está sendo usado de forma esvaziada de sentido político. No Serviço Social, por sua vez, o seu uso parece banalizado. A partir do estudo da literatura e de legislações da profissão, identificamos as bases políticas, teóricas e institucionais que, ao longo da trajetória profissional, possibilitaram a organização da categoria e a inserção nos espaços de participação das políticas e direitos sociais.

ABSTRACT

This paper aims to understand how the participation theme permeates the theoretical and political foundations of Social Services. This issue becomes relevant in a context in which the term participation is being used deprived of its political meaning, and its usage in Social Services seems to have been trivialized. Through the study of the literature and laws on the profession of social worker, we identified the political, theoretical and institutional bases, which, along the trajectory of this profession, have allowed the political organization of the category and the inclusion in the participation of political and social rights.
