Presencia del pensamiento filosófico de Immanuel Kant en la medicina hospitalaria de la republica bolivariana de Venezuela

RESUMEN

La importancia del presente trabajo radica en mostrar, de acuerdo a nuestra opinión, la necesidad de reflexionar acerca de la presencia del pensamiento filosófico de Immanuel Kant en la medicina hospitalaria actual en nuestro país. Este filósofo sustenta su trabajo en la defensa de la dignidad humana, como un imperativo categórico, lo que coincide con los principios rectores inmanentes del ejercicio profesional de la medicina. Kant imprime su fuerte huella en la Antropología Filosófica, se refiere al hombre concreto y sensible, las críticas del yo y especialmente el hombre moral ubicado por encima de la sensibilidad. Las preguntas que condensan su Filosofía son ¿qué puedo saber?, ¿qué debo hacer?, ¿qué debo esperar? y ¿qué es el hombre? Son las mismas que nos planteamos aún los médicos en el ejercicio profesional. Este filósofo en su obra, admite la existencia del alma porque sin ella no podría haber ética, libertad ni inmortalidad. Esta tesis, nos plantea una antítesis, en medio de la cual se debate una síntesis evidente en la práctica de la medicina hospitalaria actual. El método del razonamiento articulado por antinomias aplicado por él sirvió de base para el desarrollo de la dialéctica utilizada por los Filósofos Hegel y Marx, fundamental para la síntesis que el médico necesita lograr para solucionar los problemas planteados por sus pacientes. La presencia de un pensamiento filosófico de éste orden en la práctica de la medicina hospitalaria de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, nos parece de trascendental importancia ya que le da sentido a la vida de los seres humanos incluyendo a los médicos que laboran en estas Instituciones permitiendo desarrollar sus competencias naturales impidiéndole vivir vegetativamente sino más bien como personas. Creemos que sería un primer paso para mejorar la convivencialidad y conocerrnos a nosotros mismos.(AU)

ABSTRACT

According to our opinion, the importance of this paper is to show the need ofmaking a reflection about the presence of philosophical ideas of Immanuel Kant in the medical practice at hospitals in Venezuela. Kant based his work on the defense of the human dignity as a must, something that has a total coincidence with the rectifying principles of the exercising medical professional. Kant imprints his strong ideas on the Philosophical Anthropology; he refers to the concrete and sensible human being, the critics to the self and especially the moral man, placed above sensibility. The questions that condense his philosophy are what can I know? what should I do? what should I expect? and what is the man? These are the same questions we ask ourselves even in the exercise of our own profession. In his work, Kant admits the existence of the soul because without it there could not be neither ethics, freedom nor immortality. This thesis produces its own antithesis, where in the middle of it lays the center of the debate with the evident synthesis of the present medical practice of hospitals. The method of articulated reasoning by antinomies applied by Kant was the base for the development of the dialectic used by the philosophers Hegel and Marx, the fundamental base for the synthesis that a physician needs to solve the problems presented to him by his patients. The presence of a philosophical way of thinking of this importance in the medical practice of hospital at the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela seems of highest priority to us due to the fact that it gives sense to the life of the human beings, including the medical staff that works in these institutions, allowing them to develop their natural competences and refraining them to live in a vegetative condition but instead as persons. We believe this would be the first step to improve the quality of coexistence and to learn to know each other better.(AU)
