A critical component for nurses to provide safe and quality care with strong patient outcomes is clinical judgment. This study aimed to identify the difference in the clinical judgment score in newly graduated nurses by implementing Tanner's Clinical Judgment Model. This study followed an experimental design with a pretest-posttest and involved thirty-two newly graduated nurses from three private hospitals in Indonesia. The intervention group had a scheduled post-conference with their preceptors using Tanner's Clinical Judgment Model's guidelines with high-level, open-ended questions for two consecutive weeks. Independent samples t-test was used to compare pre-and post-test scores utilizing the valid and reliable Indonesia version of the Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric. There was no significant difference between the pre-test results of the intervention and control groups, with a significance value of 0.647. The results indicated a significant difference in the mean clinical judgment scores between the intervention and control groups after two weeks of intervention, where the intervention group's scores were higher than the control group's with a significance value of <0.001 with a mean difference of 6.75 and CI of 95 % (4.18-9.31). Tanner's Clinical Judgment Model showed a significant impact in increasing clinical judgment scores. The Indonesia version of the Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric is a valuable tool for assessing and evaluating the development of clinical judgment and provides detailed targeted areas needing improvement. Preceptors and nursing leaders in the clinical setting should continue to use this model and tools to assist newly graduated nurses in developing clinical judgment skills during their transition period.

A developed IPE (Interprofessional Education)-communication course was first implemented at Universitas Pelita Harapan/UPH via online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a newly developed IPE-online communication course offered to medical (MS) and nursing (NS) students. This study was a quantitative study using a pre-post design without control. The IPAS (Interprofessional Attitude Scale) assessed students' attitudes toward IPE. Satisfaction with the program was also measured following its completion. The questionnaire was administered via Survey Monkey to 535 respondents (MS = 250; NS = 285). Univariate and bivariate statistical analyses were employed. Before and after the IPE program, 161 MS and 146 NS completed the IPAS questionnaire (n = 307). The attitude of MS and NS were not improved significantly (p-value >0.05). Moreover, several subscales of attitudes decreased significantly, including "Diversity and Ethics" with a low-size effect for medical students and "Teamwork, Roles, and Responsibilities" and "Patient-Centeredness" with a low-size effect for nursing students. Both students (n = 307) were also satisfied with the IPE course (Mean MS: 4.28 and NS: 4.34). This study suggests that online IPE communication course may not be effective in fostering student attitudes. The IPE communication course should be accomplished through in-person class instead of online learning. Further IPE course evaluations are required to improve the acceptability, applicability, and effectiveness of IPE in health education.

Aims: The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of telemedicine in the healthcare sector. It provides remote health services from professionals, including diagnoses, treatments, disease preventions, and evaluations, through information and communication technology. For healthcare providers, telemedicine can assist with the improvement of individual and community health qualities. Therefore, nurses need to enhance their knowledge and confidence and maintain a positive attitude toward telemedicine. Research has shown that 70% of telemedicine implementation failures are attributable to medical personnel's inability to utilise technology. This study aimed to determine the knowledge, self-confidence, and attitudes in using telemedicine according to nurses' perceptions in a private hospital in Indonesia. Method: The study is descriptive-quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population was nurses working in an outpatient department of a private hospital in western Indonesia. A total of 52 samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was the Indonesian version of the telemedicine objective structured clinical exam (TeleOSCE) questionnaire, consisting of 22 questions to measure self-reported knowledge, confidence, and attitudes. The data were collected in February 2022 and analysed using univariate descriptive statistics. Results: The result indicated that 40 (76%) nurses perceived that they had a moderate level of knowledge of telemedicine operations, 32 (61.5%) perceived they had an average level of self-confidence, and 29 (55.8%) claimed a neutral attitude toward telemedicine. Conclusion: The moderate perceived knowledge, self-confidence, and attitudes indicate the need for improvement through education, training, and work experience. Training programs on telemedicine are expected to enhance nurses' knowledge and confidence in using telemedicine, creating a positive attitude toward the concept.

Background: The condition of the Indonesians' unpreparedness for the COVID-19 pandemic has caused anxiety and fear. The public's fears of COVID-19 cases have led to a negative stigma. As part of health workers in disaster management's main pillars in health services, nurses are most vulnerable to infection and not free from the stigma. Objective: This study aimed to describe the social stigma against nurses taking care of patients with COVID-19 and experiencing suspected or probable or confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Methods: This study was a mixed-method study using a sequential explanatory design-participant selection model. The selection of respondents used the convenience sampling technique. The number of respondents in the quantitative stage was 118 respondents. For qualitative data, selected participants were respondents with a stigma score of more than 21 nurses and willing to continue the interview process. There were 11 participants in the qualitative stage. This study used the modified Stigma Scale of the Explanatory Model Interview Catalog for quantitative data and four semi-structured questions to obtain qualitative data. Quantitative data were processed in descriptive statistics, and a thematic analysis was performed to analyze the qualitative data. Results: The highest stigma score of 118 respondents was 37, and the lowest score was zero. The stigma score had a mean of 12.28 (SD ± 7.9). The higher the score obtained leads to a higher level of stigma received. From a total of 11 participants interviewed, four main themes emerged: rejection, feeling down and afraid, sources of support, and professional vigilance. Conclusion: The social stigma experienced by nurses comes from colleagues and society and impacts psychological distress. Support from families and colleagues strengthens nurses in facing social stigma. Nevertheless, nurses uphold the values to remain grateful and carry out professional responsibilities in taking care of patients. Nurses should be provided with psychological support and be prepared for disasters to provide excellent health services and reduce adverse mental health.
