Cryptococcus neoformans is the highest-ranked fungal pathogen in the Fungal Priority Pathogens List (FPPL) released by the World Health Organization (WHO). In this study, through in silico simulations, a multi-epitope vaccine against Cryptococcus neoformans was developed using the mannoprotein antigen (MP88) as a vaccine candidate. Following the retrieval of the MP88 protein sequences, these were used to predict antigenic B-cell and T-cell epitopes via the bepipred tool and the artificial neural network, respectively. Conserved B-cell epitopes AYSTPA, AYSTPAS, PASSNCK, and DSAYPP were identified as the most promising B-cell epitopes. While YMAADQFCL, VSYEEWMNY, and FQQRYTGTF were identified as the best candidates for CD8+ T-cell epitopes; and YARLLSLNA, ISYGTAMAV, and INQTSYARL were identified as the most promising CD4+ T-cell epitopes. The vaccine construct was modeled along with adjuvant and peptide linkers and the expasy protparam tool was used to predict the physiochemical properties. According to this, the construct vaccine was predicted to be antigenic, nontoxic, nonallergenic, soluble, stable, hydrophilic, and thermostable. Furthermore, the three-dimensional structure was also used in docking analyses with Toll-like receptor (TLR4). Finally, the cDNA of vaccine was successfully cloned into the E. coli pET-28a (+) expression vector. The results presented here could contribute towards the design of an effective vaccine against Cryptococcus neoformans.

BACKGROUND: Sexual dysfunction (SD) is a common, yet underdiagnosed problem in Parkinson Disease (PD) patients. It can negatively impact their quality of life (QoL) and clinical outcome. we tried to assess SD in a group of Egyptian PD patients. METHODS: The study is a case-control, cross-sectional study that included 200 participants, consisting of 100 PD patients and 100 matched healthy controls. Social, demographic information, and clinical variables were collected from both groups. Sexual functions were assessed using the Arabic Female Sexual Function Index (ArFSFI), and the Arabic version of International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). RESULTS: Women with PD scored worse on FSFI total score compared to controls (p < 0.001). Regarding the FSFI domains, they scored significantly lower in individual domains of desire (p < 0.001), arousal (p < 0.001), lubrication (p = 0.006), orgasm (p < 0.001), satisfaction (p < 0.001), and pain (p = 0.003), compared with controls. Men with PD scored worse on IIEF total scores compared to controls (p < 0.001). They showed significantly worse scores of erectile functions (p < 0.001), orgasmic function (p < 0.001), sexual desire (p < 0.001), intercourse satisfaction (p < 0.001), and overall satisfaction (p < 0.001). Both groups reported significant effect of SD on their QoL. There was a significant correlation between disease severity and SD. CONCLUSION: SD is common in PD patients. It negatively impacts their QoL and partnership. Healthcare professionals should initiate conversations about SD with the patients and provide appropriate education and treatment options.

OBJECTIVE: The present study aims to compare prophylactic common iliac artery (CIA) temporary clamping and preoperative balloon occlusion for managing placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders. STUDY DESIGN: Between January 2019 and June 2020, 46 patients with PAS disorders were included. Of them, 26 patients were offered CIA balloon occlusion (Group A), while temporary CIA clamping was done for the other 20 patients (Group B). Primary outcomes were procedure-related complications, and secondary outcomes included intraoperative and postoperative complications, reoperation rates, total procedure time, blood loss, and amount of blood transfusion. RESULTS: Blood loss was statistically non-significant higher in group B than in group A (p-value = 0.143). Only one patient in group A and three in group B needed reoperation. The bleeding continued for a mean of 1.6 days in group A and 1.7 days in group B, with non-significant statistical differences between both groups p value = 0.71. Nine patients in group A (34.6%) and four in group B (20%) required ICU admission. The mean Apgar score was 7 and 6.6 in babies of group A and group B patients, respectively. The median number of allogeneic blood transfusions performed was two in patients in group A and 1 in group B (p-value = 0.001). CONCLUSION: Both techniques offer good choices for patients with PAS to decrease mortality and morbidity rates. The selection of a better technique depends on institutional references and physicians' experience.

In this article, the strain and stress analyses of functionally graded plates with circular holes that are subject to a uniaxial far-field traction load are analytically considered. The Young's modulus is assumed to vary linearly along the radial direction around the hole. The adoption of such a type of inhomogeneity variation can be justified as follows. Firstly, and among all the possible variations of stiffness, the linear one is indeed the simplest inhomogeneity distribution. Surprisingly however, according to our knowledge extent, the associated elastic fields were not yet addressed in the literature. Secondly, a linearly varying stiffness could reasonably imply a remarkable advantage from a technological point of view. In fact, unlike nonlinearly varying stiffness plates, manufacturing routes are only required to handle constant variations throughout the radial domain. After recalling the basic equations for plane stress elasticity, the displacement, strain, and stress fields around the hole were numerically tackled and discussed for different stiffness ratios. A comparison was also carried out with other Young's modulus distributions that have been commonly employed in the literature.

PURPOSE: To assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the outcomes of the patients who underwent trauma surgery during the peak of the pandemic. METHODS: The UKCoTS collected the postoperative outcomes of consecutive patients who underwent trauma surgery across 50 centres during the peak of the pandemic (April 2020) and during April 2019. RESULTS: Patients who were operated on during 2020 were less likely to be followed up within a 30-day postoperative period (57.5% versus 75.6% p <0.001). The 30-day mortality rate was significantly higher during 2020 (7.4% versus 3.7%, p <0.001). Likewise, the 60-day mortality rate was significantly higher in 2020 than in 2019 (p <0.001). Patients who were operated on during 2020 had lower rates of 30-day postoperative complications (20.7% versus 26.4%, p <0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Postoperative mortality was higher during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the same period in 2019, but with lower rates of postoperative complications and reoperation.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the impact of COVID-19 on the well-being of surgeons and allied health professionals as well as the support provided by their institutions. DESIGN: This cross-sectional study involved distributing an online survey through medical organisations, social media platforms and collaborators. SETTING: It included all staff based in an operating theatre environment around the world. PARTICIPANTS: 1590 complete responses were received from 54 countries between 15 July and 15 December 2020. The average age of participants was 30-40 years old, 64.9% were men and 32.5% of a white ethnic background. 79.5% were surgeons with the remainder being nurses, assistants, anaesthetists, operating department practitioners or classified other. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Participants that had experienced any physical illness, changes in mental health, salary or time with family since the start of the pandemic as well as support available based on published recommendations. RESULTS: 32.0% reported becoming physically ill. This was more likely in those with reduced access to personal protective equipment (OR 4.62; CI 2.82 to 7.56; p<0.001) and regular breaks (OR 1.56; CI 1.18 to 2.06; p=0.002). Those with a decrease in salary (29.0%) were more likely to have an increase in anxiety (OR 1.50; CI 1.19 to 1.89; p=0.001) and depression (OR 1.84; CI 1.40 to 2.43; p<0.001) and those who spent less time with family (35.2%) were more likely to have an increase in depression (OR 1.74; CI 1.34 to 2.26; p<0.001). Only 36.0% had easy access to occupational health, 44.0% to mental health services, 16.5% to 24/7 rest facilities and 14.2% to 24/7 food and drink facilities. Fewer measures were available in countries with a low Human Development Index. CONCLUSIONS: This work has highlighted a need and strategies to improve conditions for the healthcare workforce, ultimately benefiting patient care.

Letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor, has recently been introduced as a favorable medical treatment for ectopic pregnancy. We aimed at evaluating the effects of different doses of letrozole for termination of ectopic pregnancy and study their effects on villous trophoblastic tissue. Sixty patients with undisturbed ectopic pregnancy were classified into three equal groups. Group I: the control group that contained women who underwent laparoscopic salpingectomy, Group II: patients who received letrozole (5 mg day-1) for 10 days, and Group III: patients who received letrozole (10 mg day-1) for 10 days. Subsequently, the ß-hCG levels were determined on the first day and after 11 days of treatment. Group IV consisted of patients of GII and GIII; their ß-hCG did not drop below 100 mIU/ml within 11 days, and underwent salpingectomy. Placental tissues from patients undergoing salpingectomy either from the control group or GIV were processed for the evaluation of estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PR) receptors, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and cleaved caspase 3 (CC-3) expression. Cases exposed to high dose letrozole 10 mg day-1 resulted in a higher ectopic pregnancy resolution rate of 85% (17/20), while the resolution rate of the low dose letrozole-treated group (5 mg day-1) was 65% (13/20), and also showed a significant reduction in ß-hCG levels on the 11th day, 25.63 ± 4.29 compared to the low dose letrozole group 37.91 ± 7.18 (P < 0.001), Meanwhile, the letrozole-treated group GIV showed markedly reduced expression of ER, PR, and VEGF and a significant increase in the apoptotic index cleaved caspase-3 compared to the control group (P < 0.001). The utilization of letrozole at a dose of 10 mg day-1 for medical treatment of ectopic pregnancy results in a high-successful rate without any severe side effects. Letrozole depriving the placenta of estrogen that had vascular supporting signals resulted in destroying the vascular network with marked apoptosis.

BACKGROUND: The initial recommendation propranolol usage in managing infantile hemangioma was in 2008 followed by various researches assessing the dosage, efficacy, and other parameters. Itraconazole is a world-wide tolerated antifungal but only a few studies have focused on its assessment in the treatment of infantile hemangiomas (IH). OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the newly proposed antifungal drug ICZ and characterize different aspects of its usage as an antiangiogenic drug. METHODS: This was an interventional clinical trial to assess the efficacy of ICZ versus propranolol in the treatment of infantile hemangioma with studying the change in serum angiopoietin 2 (Ang2). A total of 36 pediatric patients were divided into two equal groups: firstly treated with oral itraconazole and secondly treated by oral propranolol. RESULTS: Response to treatment was observed using a modified IH score. In itraconazole-treated infants, good response was observed in 44.4% of the patients. This was slightly higher than the propranolol group which showed 22.2% with good response. We observed a decrease in serum ang2 level after usage of ICZ and propranolol and the change in serum Ang2 level before and after treatment in each group was statistically significant (p < .001). CONCLUSION: Oral itraconazole can be an equivalent option for oral propranolol while safer and shorter treatment periods.

Abstract Fenofibrate is a peroxisome-proliferator-activator α agonist and it is a widely used drug for hyperlipidemia since its approval in 2004. So, in this review we are focusing on the effect of fenofibric acid's mechanism to alleviate type 1 diabetic micro vascular complications like diabetic retinopathy, diabetic cardiomyopathy in animal models, since the drug is safe, efficacious and more economical when compared with the currently available treatment strategies for juvenile diabetic complications and also a profound observation is needed due to the rarity of research in these therapeutic areas. Important preclinical animal studies published from January 2001 to June 2020 were recognised from databases like PubMed and Cochrane central register of controlled trials. Reviewers screened the articles based on the selection criteria and risk of bias was determined using Systematic Review Centre for Laboratory animal Experimentation risk of bias tool for animal studies. Our literature search yielded a total of 5 studies and after pooling up the data from the 5 preclinical studies, we found that Fenofibrate have the efficacy to prevent type 1 diabetic complications, chiefly diabetic retinopathy and those mechanisms are dependent on peroxisome-proliferator-activator and fibroblast growth factor-21 pathways. Fenofibrate is a well safe and moreover, cost effective medication in preventing type 1 diabetic micro vascular complications especially diabetic retinopathy and also in maintaining the glucose homeostasis in apart from its anti-dyslipidemic effect.

In Information Retrieval (IR), Data Mining (DM), and Machine Learning (ML), similarity measures have been widely used for text clustering and classification. The similarity measure is the cornerstone upon which the performance of most DM and ML algorithms is completely dependent. Thus, till now, the endeavor in literature for an effective and efficient similarity measure is still immature. Some recently-proposed similarity measures were effective, but have a complex design and suffer from inefficiencies. This work, therefore, develops an effective and efficient similarity measure of a simplistic design for text-based applications. The measure developed in this work is driven by Boolean logic algebra basics (BLAB-SM), which aims at effectively reaching the desired accuracy at the fastest run time as compared to the recently developed state-of-the-art measures. Using the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) schema, the K-nearest neighbor (KNN), and the K-means clustering algorithm, a comprehensive evaluation is presented. The evaluation has been experimentally performed for BLAB-SM against seven similarity measures on two most-popular datasets, Reuters-21 and Web-KB. The experimental results illustrate that BLAB-SM is not only more efficient but also significantly more effective than state-of-the-art similarity measures on both classification and clustering tasks.

Background Breast cancer (BC) is diverse regarding its natural history and treatment responses. The traditional histopathological classification is unable to confine this diverse clinical heterogeneity. Classically, prognosis and treatment response are influenced by factors including histological grade, lymph node status, and tumour size. Recently, research has diverted from histological classification towards molecular classification. We aim to analyse the locoregional recurrence of breast cancer incidence following surgery across the different molecular subtypes as well as relation to age. Materials and methods Female patients diagnosed with a locoregional recurrence of breast carcinoma in 2012-2014 were identified from our centre histology department. We only included stage I-III patients who were previously treated with surgery achieving negative surgical margins and later developed locoregional recurrence during our study period. These patients were subdivided by age into old (≥40 years old) and young (<40 years old) groups according to their initial diagnosis age. Furthermore, they were categorised according to the molecular subtype of their primary tumour. Results Our study included 184 patients (124 designated to the old age group, 60 to the young age group). In the young group, recurrence occurred after a mean of 4.3 years and the range was one to 23 years, while in the old group, the mean was 3.8 years, and the range was one to 14 years. The most primary cancer subtype recorded was triple-negative (41.85%): 50 old patients and 27 young. Next was the Her-2/neu enriched subtype (27.72%): 35 old patients and 16 young, following this was luminal A subtype (21.19%): 27 old and 12 young. Last was the luminal B subtype (9.24%): 12 old patients and five young. Conclusions To conclude, in our series, the most common molecular subtype found in the recurrent cases was the luminal negative subtypes, with a relatively similar pattern across both age groups. The results of this study can be used as a basis for large prospective studies in our centre to further analyse the effect of molecular subtyping on the recurrence rates of BC.

Material property variation in non-homogeneous internally pressurized thick-walled cylinders is investigated within the context of dynamic programming theory. The material is assumed to be linear, elastic, isotropic, and functionally graded in the radial direction. Based on the plane stress hypothesis, a state space formulation is given and the optimal control problem is stated and solved by means of Pontryagin's Principle for different objective functionals. Optimal Young's modulus distribution is found to be piecewise linear along the radial domain. A brief digression on the possible existence of switching points is addressed. Finally, a numerical example is performed within a special class of derived optimal solutions, showing promising results in terms of equivalent stress reduction with respect to the most used variations in literature.

Sheep are important livestock and a source of milk, meat, and wool globally. The increasing demand for animal protein requires increased productivity in sheep. In vitro fertilization and maturation can improve sheep productivity. The aims of this study were to evaluate the effects of honey bee addition as a supplementation medium on in vitro maturation improvement, gene expression of matured sheep oocytes, and determine the optimum concentration from honey bee for in vitro maturation of sheep oocytes. Cumulus oocyte complexes were obtained from the ovaries of slaughtered female sheep. Grade A and B oocytes were cultured for 24 h in medium without honey bee (control, G1) or medium supplemented with 5% (G2), 10% (G3), or 20% (G4) honey bee. Oocyte maturation rate, glutathione concentration, and the expression of candidate genes (GDF-9, BAX, Cyclin B, C-MOS, IGF1) were determined in the matured oocytes. The maturation rate of sheep oocyte was better in the presence of 5% and 10% honey bee; the mean number of oocytes in metaphase II stage was higher than that in G1 and G4 groups. Glutathione concentration was highest in G2 (10.93 ± 0.57). In general, gene expression levels were similar in G2 and G3, which were greater that in G1 and G4. In conclusion, the optimal concentration of black seeds honey bee that can be added to the maturation medium is 5% to obtain the highest mean MII and glutathione concentration values, and to improve gene expression in in vitro matured sheep oocytes.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of honeybee pollen as an antioxidant source in a maturation medium of sheep oocytes on the in vitro maturation rate, glutathione concentration, and gene expression. To our knowledge, this study might be the first of its kind in this field. Sheep oocytes were cultured in vitro with honeybee pollen at four different concentrations (0.0, 1.0, 10.0, and 50.0 µg/ml). The results indicated that the ratio of oocytes that reached metaphase II stage was higher in the honeybee pollen-treated groups than in the control group (p ≤ 0.05). The reduced glutathione (GSH) mean content of matured oocytes was 9.85 nmol/25 oocytes, when honeybee pollen was added to the in vitro maturation (IVM) medium at a concentration of 1.0 µg/ml, compared with 5.84 and 4.44 nmol when using 10.0 and 50.0 µg/ml honeybee pollen, respectively. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in glutathione concentration between the control and 1.0 µg/ml honeybee pollen groups. Expression of candidate genes (GDF-9, BAX, Cyclin B, C-MOS, and IGF1) was upregulated in oocytes cultured with honeybee pollen when compared with oocytes cultured without honeybee pollen. In conclusion, the addition of honeybee pollen at a concentration of 1.0 µg/ml to IVM medium improved the in vitro maturation rate of sheep oocytes, increased the glutathione concentration, and improved gene expression.

Lead (Pb) is an environmental toxicant reported to impair male reproductive system. Betaine is a natural product which has promising beneficial effects against oxidative stress. In this experimental study, we evaluated the ameliorative effect of betaine on sperm quality and oxidative stress induced by lead (Pb) in the testis of adult male mice. Sixty male Kunming mice were divided equally into four groups: control group, betaine group (1% in drinking water), lead group (100 mg kg-1 bw-1 day-1 ) and betaine + lead group. In the last group, mice were supplemented with betaine for two weeks prior to the initiation of lead treatment and concurrently during lead treatment for 3 weeks until sacrificed. Our results indicated that in the lead-administrated group, body weights together with sperm count were significantly decreased (p < .05). The numbers of abnormal sperms were found to be higher in lead-treated mice. The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and catalase (Cat) were significantly reduced, while the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) content was increased in the testis tissue following lead treatment. The mRNA levels of antioxidant-related genes (SOD1, GPX1 and CAT) were significantly decreased in the lead group. Betaine enhanced these parameters in betaine + lead group. In testis histology span, Johnson score was decreased (p < .05) in lead group and co-treatment with betaine increased Johnson score significantly in betaine + lead group. These results indicate that betaine improves sperm quality and ameliorate oxidative damage in testis of mice exposed to lead.

Heat stress negatively affects reproduction in cattle by disrupting the normal function of ovarian granulosa cells (GCs), ultimately leading to oxidative damage and cell death via apoptosis. Heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) is a member of the heat shock protein family, which are associated with cellular antioxidant defenses and anti-apoptotic functions. Recent studies demonstrated that HO-1 is upregulated in heat-stressed cells. In the present study, we investigated the expression of HO-1 in bovine GCs transiently exposed to heat stress and characterized the expression and activity of key oxidative stress enzymes and molecules. We show that heat stress induced oxidative stress and apoptosis, and enhanced Nrf2 and HO-1 expression in primary GC cultures. Knocking down HO-1 expression using siRNA exacerbated both oxidative stress and apoptosis, whereas pre-treating GCs with hemin, which induces HO-1 expression, partially prevented these effects. These findings demonstrate that HO-1 attenuates heat stress-induced apoptosis in bovine GCs by decreasing production of reactive oxygen species and activating the antioxidant response.

Necrotising enterocolitis (NEC) is a leading cause of death and disability in preterm newborns. Early diagnosis through non-invasive investigations is a crucial strategy that can significantly improve outcomes. Hence, this review gives particular attention to the emerging role of abdominal ultrasound (AUS) in the early diagnosis of NEC, its performance against abdominal radiograph and the benefits of AUS use in daily practice. AUS has been used in the diagnosis and management of NEC for a couple of decades. However, its first-line use has been minimal, despite growing evidence demonstrating AUS can be a critical tool in the early diagnosis and management of NEC. In 2018, the NEC group of the International Neonatal Consortium recommended using AUS to detect pneumatosis and/or portal air in preterm NEC as part of the 'Two out of three' model. To facilitate widespread adoption, and future improvement in practice and outcomes, collaboration between neonatologists, surgeons and radiologists is needed to generate standard operating procedures and indications for use for AUS. The pace and scale of the benefit generated by use of AUS can be amplified through use of computer-aided detection and artificial intelligence.

BACKGROUND: Breast cancer is one of the most relevant malignancies among women. Molecular abnormalities in promotor region of survivin gene may account for overexpression of survivin and increased breast cancer risk. This study aimed to explore the potential association between survivin promotor gene -31G/C single nucleotide polymorphism (rs9904341) and its serum level alteration on one hand, and the risk of breast cancer in Egyptian patients on the other hand. It also aimed to assess the usefulness of survivin as an early noninvasive diagnostic biomarker and in breast cancer staging. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 135 patients with physically and pathologically confirmed breast cancer and 40 unrelated control subjects as well as 40 patients with benign breast mass were recruited from the early detection unit at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. Genotyping was performed using allelic discrimination probes by real-time quantitative PCR and serum survivin by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS: The minor allele C of -31G/C survivin single nucleotide polymorphism was more frequent in breast cancer patients (19.3%) compared to the control group (7.5%). Furthermore, subjects with the GC + CC genotype were at increased risk of breast cancer compared to the GG genotype of the control group and also the benign group. Moreover, those patients exhibited higher serum levels of survivin compared to GG genotype. There was also significant elevation of serum survivin in different breast cancer stages. CONCLUSION: Genetic variation in -31G/C of the survivin gene may contribute to the disposition of breast cancer in the Egyptian population. Serum survivin alteration played a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of breast cancer.

BACKGROUND: Gait impairments during real-world locomotion are common in neurological diseases. However, very little is currently known about the neural correlates of walking in the real world and on which regions of the brain are involved in regulating gait stability and performance. As a first step to understanding how neural control of gait may be impaired in neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, we investigated how regional brain activation might predict walking performance in the urban environment and whilst engaging with secondary tasks in healthy subjects. METHODS: We recorded gait characteristics including trunk acceleration and brain activation in 14 healthy young subjects whilst they walked around the university campus freely (single task), while conversing with the experimenter and while texting with their smartphone. Neural spectral power density (PSD) was evaluated in three brain regions of interest, namely the pre-frontal cortex (PFC) and bilateral posterior parietal cortex (right/left PPC). We hypothesized that specific regional neural activation would predict trunk acceleration data obtained during the different walking conditions. RESULTS: Vertical trunk acceleration was predicted by gait velocity and left PPC theta (4-7 Hz) band PSD in single-task walking (R-squared = 0.725, p = 0.001) and by gait velocity and left PPC alpha (8-12 Hz) band PSD in walking while conversing (R-squared = 0.727, p = 0.001). Medio-lateral trunk acceleration was predicted by left PPC beta (15-25 Hz) band PSD when walking while texting (R-squared = 0.434, p = 0.010). CONCLUSIONS: We suggest that the left PPC may be involved in the processes of sensorimotor integration and gait control during walking in real-world conditions. Frequency-specific coding was operative in different dual tasks and may be developed as biomarkers of gait deficits in neurological conditions during performance of these types of, now commonly undertaken, dual tasks.

Recent developments in mobile brain-body imaging (MoBI) technologies have enabled studies of human locomotion where subjects are able to move freely in more ecologically valid scenarios. In this study, MoBI was employed to describe the behavioral and neurophysiological aspects of three different commonly occurring walking conditions in healthy adults. The experimental conditions were self-paced walking, walking while conversing with a friend and lastly walking while texting with a smartphone. We hypothesized that gait performance would decrease with increased cognitive demands and that condition-specific neural activation would involve condition-specific brain areas. Gait kinematics and high density electroencephalography (EEG) were recorded whilst walking around a university campus. Conditions with dual tasks were accompanied by decreased gait performance. Walking while conversing was associated with an increase of theta (θ) and beta (ß) neural power in electrodes located over left-frontal and right parietal regions, whereas walking while texting was associated with a decrease of ß neural power in a cluster of electrodes over the frontal-premotor and sensorimotor cortices when compared to walking whilst conversing. In conclusion, the behavioral "signatures" of common real-life activities performed outside the laboratory environment were accompanied by differing frequency-specific neural "biomarkers". The current findings encourage the study of the neural biomarkers of disrupted gait control in neurologically impaired patients.
