RESUMEN

Polymorphism of 49A/G gene CTLA4 in 44 patients with allergic rhinitis and 70 conditioned healthy donors of Uzbek population has been analyzed. The "unfavourable allele" rate in general studied groups and control groups did not practically differ and was 73,3 and 72,9% correspondingly. The analysis of distribution of polymorphism 49A/G gene CTLA4 among the patients of the groups with allergic rhinitis depended on currency (seasonal form) and gender, while in the control groups statistical significant differences were not revealed. However, in patients with annually forms of allergic rhinitis the rate of functional "unfavourable allele" 49A/G gene CTLA4 increased in 1,3 times in comparison with the group with seasonal form and slightly in the control group.

RESUMEN

A computer audiometer has been designed on the computer using program "Audiometry". No special devices are needed. This computer audiometric complex can perform all kinds of behavioral audiometry: tonal threshold, suprathreshold, speech and in a free sound field.

RESUMEN

The study of the autonomic status of the body in 38 patients with different forms of chronic purulent otitis media (CPOM) has demonstrated that patients with exacerbation or complication of CPOM were for the most part sympathotonics and normotonics. The former had more persistent disease with more frequent recurrences.

RESUMEN

Plasma levels of medium molecular peptides (MMP) were measured and Paramecium test was made in 28 patients with acute otitis media purulenta (AOMP). Of these, 18 patients had complicating mastoiditis. The baseline results of both tests correlated with clinical symptoms of systemic endogenic intoxication. Paramecium test returned to normal after one day of treatment. Informative value of this test fell with detoxication contrary to plasma MMP value which correlated with the degree of intoxication and remained informative through detoxication being able to show even residual subclinical toxicity. The MMP test is a method of choice in assessing intoxication in patients with AOMP and its complications.

RESUMEN

Local sorption therapy of postoperative wounds in patients with exacerbation of otitis media purulenta chronica with gelecel stimulates cleansing of the wounds from pyonecrotic substances on postoperative day 2-3. Regeneration in the trepanation or radical cavity starts on day 2-3. Intoxication ceased 2 days earlier compared to the procedure with the use of medical gauze. To prevent dehydration of the soft tissue gelecel should be applied on postoperative day 5-6.

RESUMEN

The examination of 90 patients referred to hospital for otitis media purulenta (OMP) and 25 healthy subjects included assessment of lipid peroxidation by content of malonic dialdehyde and intensity of chemoluminescence. Enzymes of antioxidant system were also measured (superoxide dismutase and catalase in blood plasma and wash-offs from the acoustic meatus and postoperative cavities). The measurements gave different values for the above parameters for healthy and OMP subjects. Conventional treatment reduced levels of LPO products and raised the activity of antioxidant enzymes, but control values were reached only in adjuvant parenteral administration of lipostabil and local administration of alpha-tocopherol. Also, earlier relief of clinical symptoms shortened the hospital stay.

RESUMEN

Studies with the use of Fe2(+)-induced chemiluminescence of apo-beta-lipoproteins and electron histochemistry have revealed that PUVA therapy and vitamin A high doses enhance lipid peroxidation and activate adenylate cyclase in patients with Devergie's disease. This finding permits a conclusion on the usefulness of enhancing lipid peroxidation in order to reduce cellular mitotic activity.

RESUMEN

A clinical classification of lichen ruber pilaris is presented, based on the authors' observations of 30 cases. Three types of such lichen may be distinguished, characterized by a specific clinical picture, course of skin process, and prediction of the process course: adult, childhood, and atypical types.
