RESUMEN
A new species of the spider family Caponiidae, Aamunops kalebi sp. nov., is described from Chiapas, Mexico. Additionally, we provide new distributional or natural history and morphological remarks of three caponiids collected from South and Southern Mexico: Roddenberryus sargi (F. O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1899), R. spock Snchez-Ruiz & Bonaldo, 2023, and Nops campeche Snchez-Ruiz & Brescovit, 2018.

The taxonomy of the spider family Phrurolithidae in western Mexico remains poorly investigated. In this work, based on both sexes, we describe Scotinella garman sp. nov. and S. poncei sp. nov. from Michoacn. Specimens of the two new species were collected using pitfall traps in a pine forest, organic avocado orchard, and tropical deciduous forest. The two species seem to be sister species as they resemble each other in several morphological characteristics. Females of Scotinella poncei sp. nov. display a striking variability in the size and depth of the atrium and copulatory openings. Moreover, we discuss the female genitalia conformation of Scotinella, specifically the homology of the secondary spermathecae, and record the genus Phonotimpus Gertsch & Davis, 1940 in western Mexico for the first time.

A new species of the spider genus Ochyrocera Simon, 1891 is described from southern Mexico. Males and females of Ochyrocera marialuisae sp. nov. were collected from a cave in Oaxaca, Mexico. With the description of the new species herein, the species diversity of the genus from Mexico increases to eight species. In addition, biogeographical comments about the distribution of the species, an updated taxonomic identification key, and a distribution map for the Mexican species are provided.

A new phrurolithid species, Scotinella elpotosi sp. nov., is described from San Luis Potos, Mexico. Males of this new species are characterized by the long and filiform embolus, and females by the W-shaped copulatory ducts. Additionally, based on delimitation of the genus Phrurolithus C. L. Koch, 1839 made by previous authors, we propose the transfer of all Mexican Phrurolithus to Scotinella Banks, 1911: S. adjacens (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., S. approximatus (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., S. coahuilanus (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., S. debilis (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., S. diversus (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., S. tamaulipanus (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov., and S. tepejicanus (Gertsch Davis, 1940) comb. nov.
