RESUMEN

Morphological changes in biological tissues, surrounding the composite net-like implant, owing large pores "Ultrapro", and also its combination with adipose transplant, fibrin, enriched with thrombocytes, were studied in experiment on 36 adult male rats of a Wistar line. While application of such construction the processes of creation and organization of connective tissue, neoangiogenesis as well as development of a new adipose tissue are improved. As a consequence of increase of concentration of highly active biological substances and regenerative cytokines in combination of the net implant with adipose transplant, containing multipotent stem cells, proliferative activity of all cellular elements, surrounding the net implant, is raising, what predispose its optimal integration into surrounding tissues.

RESUMEN

Experience of treatment in 2010-2012 yrs of the patients, suffering mammarial gland tumors, in The Center of Reconstructive and Restoration Medicine (The University Clinic) of The Odessa National Medical University was analyzed. There were examined 143 women with morphologically confirmed mammarial gland cancer (MGT), 56--benign mammary gland tumors and 50 healthy women. Molecular-genetic investigation was performed in the patients-women: there were determined the gene C634G polymorphism of VEGF and of the gene G308A of TNF--a with subsequent estimation of correlation of the mutations quantity and the mammarial gland diseases rate. Algorithm of differential diagnosis of benign tumors must include estimation of polymorphism of the VEGF gene C634G. While revealing of the heterozygous or homozygous bearers of mutation with the gene C634G polymorphism of VEGF the risk of the MGC occurrence is enhancing, what may serve as additional criterion for expedience for conduction of operative treatment in such patients.

RESUMEN

The results of examination and surgical treatment of 81 patients, suffering metastatic colorectal cancer (MCRC), in The Odessa Regional Oncological Dispensary in 2006 - 2013 yrs, are analyzed. Comparing the results of treatment of patients there was determined, that radiofrequency thermoablation (RTHA) as a miniinvasive method of destruction of metastases, alike surgical resection, is characterized by the severe complications absence. The survival indices were studied up, depending on the kind of treatment accomplished. Best results were noted after the RTHA application, the median life span have had constituted 18.6 mo. RTHA--miniinvasive and relatively safe method of local treatment of malignant tumors, its application promotes the survival indices increase in patients, suffering MCRC in hepatic metastatic affection.

RESUMEN

AIM: To identify clinically significant molecular markers of endometrial cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Cancer and normal endometrial tissue samples from 20 patients of the Gynecology Clinic of Odessa State Medical University (Odessa, Ukraine) with confirmed endometrial cancer were compared for SSR and ISSR polymorphisms. Identified polymorphic fragments from anonymous genome regions situated between microsatellite repeats underwent direct DNA sequencing; analysis of their homology to sequences from human genome database has been performed. RESULTS: No significant variability for the microsatellite loci adjacent to the E2F1, BAX, TCF7L2, C-MYC, WNT1, FES, DCC, P27, THRA, APC, CYP19 and P53 genes was detected. Search for new molecular markers of endometrial cancer within anonymous DNA sequences located between microsatellite repeats revealed 100 bp and 174 bp polymorphic fragments. These fragments were detected correspondingly in 60% and 35% of patients. 100 bp fragment appeared to be homologous to a region within the NFKB gene, 174 bp fragment - to a sequence within the DDR1 gene. CONCLUSIONS: NFKB1 and DDR1 genes may be regarded as potential markers for some types of endometrial cancer. This is a first report about possible association of these genes with endometrial cancer.

RESUMEN

This review article will analyze the role of nitric oxide in antiblastomous organism resistance, in particular some mechanisms of NO-mediated apoptosis in different cells and NO involvement in etiological mechanisms as well as tumor growth promotion. The possible mechanisms of nitric oxide dual effect are discussed. The data about NO as a mediator in different methods of cancer treatment are given. In conclusion, we have determined some principles of application of NO-modulating agents in cancer therapy.
