RESUMEN

AIM: To identify the optimal timing of CEA in patients with hemodynamic significant stenosis of carotid arteries in the acute period of ischemic stroke (IS). MATERIAL AND METHODS: Five samples (n=30 911) based on the search results from January 2008 to April 2016 in Russian and English-language scientific databases were analyzed. The main endpoints of the studies in both groups (repeated stroke, death, cardiac complications, frequency of restenosis) were studied depending on the timing of operative intervention and preoperative selection criteria. Perioperative morbidity and mortality were analyzed within 30 days after disease onset. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: There are heterogeneous and contradictory information on the safety of CEA in patients with symptomatic carotid stenosis in acute period of IS. Fundamentally, a new individual approach is required to select best candidates for timed surgery after disease onset, taking into account the severity of the condition, risk factors, comorbidity and surgical techniques.

RESUMEN

We present the results of a multicenter study on efficacy of cytoflavin in the treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke. One hundred and twenty patients (60 of main group and 60 of control group) were enrolled in the study. All patients received basic therapy aimed at to improve systemic hemodynamics. Rheological blood properties and to prevent stroke complications. Patients of main group were treated with cytoflavin as follows: 1-10 days -20 ml (in200 ml of 0.9% NaCl solution) twice a day intravenously in groups: 11-35 days -850 mg twice a day. We assessed dynamics of restoration of lost functions (NIHSS, Rankin scale, Barthel index) and volume of ischemic lesion (KT, diffusion-weighted image). We reveled a trend towards effect of cytoflavin on the preservations of brain mater in acute phase of stroke. Cytoflavin reduced neurological deficit and improved activities of daily living in patients that may be explained by less brain damage.

RESUMEN

AIM: To assess effects and to study an influence of cytoflavin on the changes of cognitive functions in the complex treatment of elderly patients with alcoholism. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A prospective cohort randomized parallel study was carried out in the group of 74 elderly patients with alcoholism. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Significant positive changes (p<0.05) in the clinical/neurological status of patients was observed during the optimized and combined treatment with the inclusion of cytoflavin in the treatment scheme. There was a rapid and marked improvement in the indices of neuropsychological tests compared to the patients of the comparison group.

RESUMEN

The authors studied the efficiency of the expansion of the standard course of conservative therapy of deforming coxarthrosis by appointment Cytoflavin and behavioral therapy. The study was performed on 104 elderly patients. It was found that the addition of the existing scheme increases the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, which manifests itself as the improvement of the mental and physical components of quality of life by reducing pain and increasing the functionality of some of the affected hip. At the heart of positive clinical effect is a decrease in processes of inflammation and reduction of tension of regulatory processes in the organism. Positive quality extra medical appointments was the absence of significant side effects when taken orally Cytoflavin requiring discontinuation of the drug, as well as the absence of failure patients from further sessions of behavioral therapy.
