RESUMEN

A total of 110 children aged from 5 to 15 years with different forms of congenital obstructive uropathy and secondary pyelonephritis received standard combined treatment (n = 71) or standard treatment combination with photon therapy 3 months after discharge from hospital. Postoperative combined treatment including photon therapy promoted uneventful course of the postoperative period, normalized immunological indices, achievement of persistent remission.

RESUMEN

The authors have examined immunogenetically 136 children of east slavonic nationality aged 5-15 years with different forms of congenital obstructive uropathy. Positive and negative association was found of some HLA antigenes, their phenotypical combinations and haplotypical combinations with diseases in the group of patients with congenital obstructive uropathies and in patients with obstructive pyelonephritis. Different immunogenetic picture was seen in patients with congenital hydronephrosis and in children with pyeloectosy. Different distribution of immunogenetic markers can be used for differential diagnosis, definition of the risk of progression of hydronephrotic transformation, complication of obstructive pathology with secondary infectious process and objective validation of therapeutic policy in children with congenital obstructive uropathy.

RESUMEN

Congenital hydronephrotic transformation complicated by obstructive pyelonephritis with intact renal function in children exhibited association with some antigens of the major histocompatibility system and their combinations, changes in immunity and nonspecific resistance. Marked and stable shifts in immune reactivity give grounds for inclusion of immunomodulating drugs in combined treatment of the above patients.

RESUMEN

The paper shows that children with glomerulonephritis develop autoimmune disorders and stable thyroid dysfunction. That's why it is valid to include thyroid function correcting drugs in the combined regimens. The drugs should be assigned with consideration of individual clinical syndromes of acute and clinical forms of chronic glomerulonephritis.

RESUMEN

Our studies suggest that children with primary diffuse glomerulonephritis have some peculiarities in the presentation of certain HLA antigens, their phenotypical and haplotypical combinations relevant to the disease risk and course variants prognosis. Children whose tissue antigens refer them to high risk group in relation to glomerulonephritis require continuous monitoring of clinical, laboratory and immunological parameters. Tissue typing can detect children predisposed to developing acute and chronic glomerulonephritis, prompt optimal treatment and follow-up policy, predict trends in the disease course.

RESUMEN

The comparison of the effect obtained in children with primary acute pyelonephritis treated with lymphotropic ampiox plus lidase against oral or intramuscular ampiox showed more rapid induction of clinical remission and more pronounced tendency to normalization of immunological indices in the patients on lymphotropic ampiox. In addition, the lymphotropic route made it possible to decrease the drug dose and number of its injections which is of importance in pediatric practice. The above advantages say in favour of wide application of indirect lymphotropic therapy for pyelonephritis in children.

RESUMEN

Studies showed that equivocal shifts occur in the functional condition of the thyroid in children with various clinical syndromes of acute glomerulonephritis and clinical forms of chronic glomerulonephritis. For instance, signs of increased functional activity of the thyroid are encountered in children with the nephritic syndrome of the acute and hematuria form of chronic glomerulonephritis, and signs of diminished thyroid function occur in patients with the nephrotic syndrome of the acute and nephrotic form of chronic glomerulonephritis, evidence of which are the corresponding changes of the content of protein-bound iodine and thyroid hormones in the blood serum. No essential changes are revealed in the functional condition of the thyroid in other syndromes of acute and forms of chronic glomerulonephritis. At the same time, signs of immunopathological changes of the thyroid are revealed in patients with various syndromes of acute and forms of chronic glomerulonephritis; these are manifested by the appearance of antithyroid antigens in the blood and increase of the neutrophil injuriousness index in the test with the antigen of this organ. The obtained data indicate that in planning complex therapy of children with glomerulonephritis due regard should be given to involvement of the thyroid in the pathological process and the character of its functional disorders in concrete clinical syndromes of acute and clinical forms of chronic glomerulonephritis.

RESUMEN

The majority of children with allergic diathesis, living in the Andizhan region of the Uzbek SSR manifest the signs of stable abnormalities of thyroid function, that aggravate immunological alterations and the course of the process. This prompts the use in these children of therapeutic measures aimed at correction of the activity of the thyroid apparatus. With this purpose in view, the children with allergic diathesis associated with increased thyroid function may be administered aqueous solution of potassium iodide whereas those with functional thyroid deficiency may be given thyroidin in proper age-associated doses.

RESUMEN

It has been demonstrated that children with different clinical syndromes of acute glomerulonephritis manifest inconclusive changes in enzyme secretory functions of the stomach and pancreas together with the signs of functional insufficiency of the incretory apparatus of the latter one. There is no doubt that the impairment of the activity of the main alimentary glands in children suffering from acute glomerulonephritis aggravates the disease, which should be taken into account in elaborating the multimodality treatment measures for such patients.
