RESUMEN
Stable gold film electrodes were fabricated by a combination of sputtered gold and an epoxy adhesion layer on a glass substrate using the template-stripped technique. An XRR scan analysis indicated the thickness and roughness of the gold layer to be on the order of 10 nm and subnanometer, respectively. In spite of their small thickness, the electrode had sufficient conductivity and stuck to the subject during the electrochemical measurements as did the usual gold working electrodes.
RESUMEN
The electrooxidation of benzylic alcohol derivative in acidic aqueous solution shows an oxidation pre-peak in the cyclic voltammogram, which means that the reaction is proceeding via an ECE mechanism where the second electron transfer occurs at a less positive potential. From the result of the rotating ring-disk electrode voltammetry, the initial oxidation response of the electrode reaction can be extracted.

An electrochemical determination of the O2- concentration from KO2 in DMSO solution using steady state microelectrode voltammetry shows that the KO2/DMSO method with the combined use of a crown compound or sonication is a reliable and simple technique for introduction of O2- to the biomimitic reaction system.

Potential-step chronoamperometry using a microdisk electrode was carried out for the simultaneous determination of the charge number and diffusion coefficients of natural electron-mediator dimethoxybenzene analogues during electro-oxidation. The process was verified as a one-electron oxidation during the radical cation formation.
