RESUMEN

In the article there are presented data of the study of psycho-physiological indices of higher nervous activity in adolescents, there are established the interrelationships between the type of temperament and the level of performance of schoolchildren. There was made en evaluation of the prevalence of depressive states in 8th graders, defined the frequency of occurrence of various levels of anxiety. There are denoted basic directions of the preventive work on the anxiety level down in senior schoolchildren; as well as measures aimed at reduction of the number of students with depressive states.

RESUMEN

In 93 persons aged 90 to 103 years old the subpopulation compositon of lymphocytes and the level of thymic serum activity (TSA) was studied. In the presence of polymorbidity the low level of TSA was observed in 81% of examinees, with the quantitative deficiency in the relative and absolute number of CD3+CD8+ T-lymphocytes (62% and 78% respectively) and the excess in the number CD3+CD4-CD8- T-lymphocytes (42% and 57% respectively). Among CD3+CD4-CD8- T-lymphocytes cells with phenotypes CD3+/-CD4-CD8-CD16- and CD3+CD4-CD16+ were determined. In prolonged imunomonitoring the reciprocacity of changes in the amount of CD3+/-CD4-CD8-CD16- T-lymphocytes was established in relation to the level of TCA and the number of CD3+CD8+ T-lymphocytes. The reversibility of these changes is indicative of the potential of reactivity of the immune system in longlivers. The positive result of laser therapy in persons with quantitative deficiency of CD3+CD8+ T-lymphocytes and the presence of cells with phenotype CD3+/-CD4-CD8-CD16- was associated with the restoration of the size of CD3+CD8+ subpopulation and a decrease in an amount of CD3+/-CD4-CD8-CD16-. The unfavorable prognostic sign was, seemingly, the quantitative deficiency of CD3+CD8+ T-lymphocytes with the low level of TCA in the absence of CD3+/-CD4-CD8-CD16- T-lymphocytes.

RESUMEN

Irradiation of the epithelial cells from human thymus (cell line HTSC) by arsenid-gallium laser (0.89 nm, 1500 Hz) induces an enhancement of thymic hormone production. The concentration of alpha-1-thymosin was substantially increased on the days 1 and 5 in culture after irradiation. The increase of thymulin level in cultural supernatants was less pronounced and displayed after irradiation during 3-4 minutes. Local laser irradiation of thymus region of rats (5 minutes, 10 times) induce the increase of serum concentration of alpha-1-thymosin and the decrease of serum level of thymulin 2 days after irradiation.

RESUMEN

Human intrathymic precursors are characterized by mitogenic reaction on thymic hormone, lacking the cortical and medullar thymic membrane markers (CD3, CD4 and/or CD8) and expressing of the common T-cell CD7 and CD5 antigens. Fraction 1.062 g/cm3 of peripheral white blood cells contains cells with analogous characteristics. The cell fraction of blood from men participated in amelioration after the Chernobyl accident is enriched with hemopoietic precursors (CD4+), pre-T-cells, reacting to thymosin (CD5+CD3-), and CD3+CD4-CD8- T-cells in a greater extent than the cell fraction from donors blood. Defects of T-cell and hemopoietic differentiation in children migrated from the Chernobyl area to Moscow Region were more substantial than in "ameliorators" and correlated with drop of thymic serum activity level. Research substantiates the approach to analysis of radiation-induced defects in early stages of lympho- and hemopoiesis.

RESUMEN

It was shown that exposure of mice AKR and (CBA X C57B1/6)F1 to Bacillus intermedius RNAase and its derivative selectively inactivated by the active centre histidine stimulated T-lymphocyte maturation. With using bone marrow and spleen lymphocytes of congenitally thymus-free mice it was revealed that this effect of RNAase was defined by induction of Thy-1 antigen of the lymphocyte plasmic membrane and not associated with homology of the enzyme primary structure and the alpha 1-thymosin structure.

RESUMEN

The content of T-cell precursors is increased in the thymus of AKR/J mice. Thymus also contains cells carrying markers of pre-T (SC-1-antigen) and T-(Thy-1-antigen) cells simultaneously. The level of SC-1+-cells grows just before the lymphoma appearance in the AKR/J thymus. Lymphoma cells express both SC-1 and Thy-1-antigens, i. e. they are a transitional form between pre-T- and T-cells. It is suggested that accumulation of SC-1+-Thy-1+ cells in the mouse thymus is an essential condition for the development of virus-induced lymphomas.

RESUMEN

Irradiation of CBA mice elicits a pronounced response of intrathymus and bone marrow precursors of T-lymphocytes (PTL) which is manifested by an increase in a relative content of PTL in the thymus and their transfer from bone marrow to thymus. The estimate of the regenerative potency of the thymus most adequately reflects the cellular events leading to regeneration thereof. The differences in the thymus regeneration dynamics between CBA and AKR mice are associated with different radiation response of the intrathymic SC-1-PTL in mice of these strains.

RESUMEN

Interaction of two enteropathogenic strains E. coli O55-K59 and human Hela cells containing O(H) isoantigen was studied. When E. coli strain No. 5789 containing heterologic antigen O(H) was added to HeLa cell culture the cytopathogenic effect with the microbial doses of 2 X 10(10), 2 X 10(5), 2X 10(4) was revealed on the third day of the interaction. A dose of 2 X 10(3) of E. coli microbes gave no such effect. Strain No. 3827 containing no heterologic antigen of ABO type failed to exert any cytopathogenic effect with maximal, mean, and minimal doses of the microbes. It is assumed that the cytopathogenic effect of strain No. 5789 is connected with the presence of the strain antigen identical to the group antigen of the human cell culture under study.

RESUMEN

Effects of the extracts prepared from tissues of fallopian tubes, uterine fibroid and uterine adenocarcinoma on mitotic activity and amitotic division in culture Tg33 were studied. Extracts with two protein concentrations, 25 and 100 mkg/ml, resp., were used. Differences were found between effects of extracts from malignant tissue and those of histologically unchanged fallopian tube extracts, and also the extract from tissues of uterine fibroid. The extracts from fallopian tubes removed during operation of the ovarian cyst and uterine fibroid (protein concentration 25 and 100 mkg/ml), and the extract of uterine fibroid (100 mkg/ml) caused the increase in mitotic activity. The extract from malignant tissues of adenocarcinoma (protein concentration 25 mkg/ml) and fallopian tubes (25 and 100 mkg/ml) caused no increase in the number of mitoses. The extract from tissues of uterine adenocarcinoma (protein concentration 100 mkg/ml) inhibited the number of mitoses in the culture. The above extracts effecting Tg33 cells caused the increase in the number of amitoses. The number of pathological mitoses did not increase under the influence of all the tested extracts.
