RESUMEN

BACKGROUND Over the past decades, total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in China has increased substantially. Owing to a lack of a joint registry, there is restricted information concerning the epidemiology of TKA failures in China. We aimed to (1) investigate the etiology of TKA failures in a cohort of Chinese patients and (2) determine the related demographic and anthropometric risk factors in Jilin, China, to have a look at the actual situation. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 1927 primary and 109 revision TKAs performed between April 2014 and May 2022 were analyzed in this retrospective study. Patient demographics and anthropometric measures, the interval from primary TKA to revision procedures, and the mechanisms for primary TKA failure were evaluated. A chi-square test, unpaired t test, and multivariate logistic regression were used to investigate the relationships between different factors and TKA failures. RESULTS The leading failure mechanism was infection (53.3%), followed by aseptic loosening (21.5%), stiffness (15.0%), instability (3.7%), malposition (2.8%), periprosthetic fractures (2.8%), and extensor mechanism disruption (0.9%). Infection (59.7%) was the main reason for early revision. Aseptic loosening (43.3%) was the leading cause of late revision. The male ratio in infection patients was higher (35.1% vs 20.6%). The smoking rate in patients with revision and infection was higher (18.9%, 23.9% vs 7%) than in primary patients. There was no difference in BMI between groups. CONCLUSIONS The leading cause of revision TKA in Jilin, China, was infection, followed by aseptic loosening and stiffness. Sex and smoking history were associated with TKA failures in this region.

RESUMEN

Site-directed mutagenesis for creating point mutations, sometimes, gives rise to plasmids carrying variable number tandem repeats (VNTRs) locally, which are arbitrarily regarded as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) related artifacts. Here, the alternative end-joining mechanism is reported rather than PCR artifacts accounts largely for that VNTRs formation and expansion. During generating a point mutation on GPLD1 gene, an unexpected formation of VNTRs employing the 31 bp mutagenesis primers is observed as the repeat unit in the pcDNA3.1-GPLD1 plasmid. The 31 bp VNTRs are formed in 24.75% of the resulting clones with copy number varied from 2 to 13. All repeat units are aligned with the same orientation as GPLD1 gene. 43.54% of the repeat junctions harbor nucleotide mutations while the rest don't. Their demonstrated short primers spanning the 3' part of the mutagenesis primers are essential for initial creation of the 2-copy tandem repeats (TRs) in circular plasmids. The dimerization of mutagenesis primers by the alternative end-joining in a correct orientation is required for further expansion of the 2-copy TRs. Lastly, a half-double priming strategy is established, verified the findings and offered a simple method for VNTRs creation on coding genes in circular plasmids without junction mutations.

RESUMEN

Canagliflozin (CFZ) tablets was a commercially new class of anti-diabetic drug, CFZ had various anhydrate crystal forms and two hydrate crystal forms (Canagliflozin hemihydrate (Hemi-CFZ) and Canagliflozin monohydrate (Mono-CFZ) crystal form). The active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) of commercially available CFZ tablets were Hemi-CFZ, was easily convert to CFZ or Mono-CFZ under the influence of temperature, pressure, humidity and other factors in tablets processing, storage, and transportation, thus affected bioavailability and efficacy of tablets. Therefore, quantitative analysis of low-content CFZ and Mono-CFZ in tablets was essential to control tablets' quality. The main objective of this study was to explore the feasibility and in-depth explain its quantitative analysis mechanism of NIR for quantitative analysis of low-content CFZ/Mono-CFZ in CFZ tablets. PLSR models for low-content CFZ/Mono-CFZ were established by NIR solid-state analysis technique in different resolutions with different wavenumber regions combined with various pretreatments methods (such as Multiplicative Scatter Correction (MSC), Standard Normal Variate (SNV), Savitzky-Golay First Derivative (SG1st), Savitzky-Golay Second Derivative (SG2nd) and Wavelet Transform (WT)), and the PLSR models were verified. The feasibility of NIR spectroscopy for quantitative analysis of low-content CFZ and Mono-CFZ in CFZ tablets was discussed and analyzed from multiple perspectives, which included the distribution of effective information on the spectrum, the influence of resolution on PLSR models performance, the variance contribution/cumulative variance contribution of PLSR model principal components (PCs), the relation of PCI loadings, scores of the spectra and CFZ/Mono-CFZ content, and the mechanism of quantitative analysis was in-depth explained simultaneously. Eventually the most suitable PLSR models in 0.0000-10.0000 % w/w % obtained. That can provide theoretical support for quantitative analysis of low-content impurity crystal during the production, storage and transportation of CFZ tablets, thus provide reference methods for quality control of CFZ tablets and a reliable reference method for quantitative analysis of impurity crystal forms and quality control of similar drugs.

RESUMEN

Gastric cancer (GC) is a malignant tumor with high incidence rate and mortality. Due to the lack of effective diagnostic indicators, most patients are diagnosed in late stage and have a poor prognosis. An increasing number of studies have proved that Peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA) can play an oncogene role in various cancer types. However, the precise mechanism of PPIA in GC is still unclear. Herein, we analyzed the mRNA levels of PPIA in pan-cancer. The prognostic value of PPIA on GC was also evaluated using multiple databases. Additionally, the relationship between PPIA expression and clinical factors in GC was also examined. We further confirmed that PPIA expression was not affected by genetic alteration and DNA methylation. Moreover, the upstream regulator miRNA and lncRNA of PPIA were identified, which suggested that LINC10232/miRNA-204-5p/PPIA axis might act as a potential biological pathway in GC. Finally, this study revealed that PPIA was negatively correlated with immune checkpoint expression, immune cell biomarkers, and immune cell infiltration in GC.

RESUMEN

Identification of unique and specific biomarkers to better detect and quantify senescent cells remains challenging. By a global proteomic profiling of senescent human skin BJ fibroblasts induced by ionizing radiation (IR), the cellular level of pregnancy zone protein (PZP), a presumable pan-protease inhibitor never been linked to cellular senescence before, was found to be decreased by more than 10-fold, while the level of PZP in the conditioned medium was increased concomitantly. This observation was confirmed in a variety of senescent cells induced by IR or DNA-damaging drugs, indicating that high-level secretion of PZP is a novel senescence-associated secretory phenotype. RT-PCR examination verified that the transcription of the PZP gene is enhanced in various cells at senescence or upregulated following DNA damage treatment in a p53-independent manner. Moreover, pretreatment with late pregnancy serum containing a high level of PZP led to inhibition of doxorubicin-induced senescence in A549 cells, and depletion of PZP in the pregnancy serum could enhance such inhibition. Finally, the addition of immuno-precipitated PZP complexes into tissue culture attenuated the growth of A549 cells and promoted the spontaneous senescence. Therefore, we revealed that high-level secretion of PZP is a novel and unique feature associated with DNA damage-induced senescence, and secreted PZP is a positive regulator of cellular senescence, particularly during the late stage of gestation.

RESUMEN

Two-dimensional (2D) black phosphorus (BP) is considered an ideal building block for field-effect transistors (FETs) owing to its unique structure and intriguing properties. To achieve high-performance BP-FETs, it is essential to establish a reliable and low-resistance contact between the BP and the electrodes. In this study, we employed a localized Joule heating method to improve the contact between the 2D BP and gold electrodes, resulting in enhanced BP-FET performance. Upon applying a sufficiently large source-drain voltage, the zero-bias conductance of the device increased by approximately five orders of magnitude, and the linearity of the current-voltage curves was also enhanced. This contact improvement can be attributed to the formation of gold phosphide at the interface of the BP and the gold electrodes owing to current-generated localized Joule heat. The fabricated BP-FET demonstrated a high on/off ratio of 4850 and an on-state conductance per unit channel width of 1.25 µS µm-1, significantly surpassing those of the BP-FETs without electrical annealing. These findings offer a method to achieve a low-resistance BP/metal contact for developing high-performance BP-based electronic devices.

RESUMEN

The accurate prediction of vehicle speed is crucial for the energy management of vehicles. The existing vehicle speed prediction (VSP) methods mainly focus on road vehicles and rarely on off-road vehicles. In this paper, a double-layer VSP method based on backpropagation neural network (BPNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) for off-road vehicles is proposed. First of all, considering the motion characteristics of off-road vehicles, the VSP problem is established and the relationship between the variables in the problem is carefully analyzed. Then, the double-layer VSP framework is presented, which consists of speed prediction and information update layers. The speed prediction layer established by using LSTM is to predict vehicle speed in the horizon, and the information update layer built by BPNN is to update the prediction information. Finally, with the help of mining truck and loader operation scenarios, the proposed VSP method is compared with the analytical method, BPNN prediction method, and recurrent neural network (RNN) prediction method in terms of speed prediction accuracy. The results show that, under the premise of ensuring the real-time prediction performance, the average prediction error of the proposed BPNN-LSTM prediction method under two operation scenarios reduces by 48.14%, 35.82% and 30.09% compared with the other three methods, respectively. The proposed speed prediction method provides a new solution for predicting the speed of off-road vehicles, effectively improving the speed prediction accuracy.

RESUMEN

It is possible to develop new chemopreventive compounds so that cancer cells can be targeted in an exclusive manner. Bioactive natural compounds have demonstrated to be efficient chemotherapeutic agents, safe and cost-effective. Majority of anti-cancer medications are derived from natural sources, particularly of plant origins. Betanin (betanidin-5-O-ß-glucoside) is the most common betacyanin with antioxidant, anti inflammatory and anticancer properties. The present study therefore investigated the effect of betanin onosteosarcoma MG-63 cells. The mechanistic pathway of inflammatory responses, cell proliferation and apoptosis were investigated. The MG-63 cells were treated with betanin for 24 h. Betanin actions on the appearance of cell arrangements, morphological changes, ROS induced Δψm , cell migration, cell adhesion and proliferative mechanistic marker expression of PI3K/AKT/mTOR/S6were analyzed. Betanin inhibited MG-63 cells at IC50 concentrations between 9.08 and 54.49 µM and induced apoptosis by triggering the ROS mechanism. Betanin inhibited proliferation and migration of MG-63 cells and induced DNA fragmentation. Betanin also modified the key mediator expression levels of PI3K/AKT/mTOR/S6 signaling pathways. Betanin can potentially be utilized in bone carcinoma therapeutics to inhibit, reverse or delay osteosarcoma.

RESUMEN

Plant growth regulators are a class of physiologically active substances that could modify or regulate basic physiological processes in the plant and defense against abiotic and biotic stresses, including natural plant growth regulators and synthetic ones. Different from natural plant growth regulators with low content and high cost of extraction in plants, synthetic ones can be produced in large-scale production and widely used in agriculture for increasing and securing yield and quality of the harvested produce. However, like pesticides, the abuse of plant growth regulators will have negative impacts on human beings. Therefore, it is important to monitor plant growth regulators residues. Due to the low concentration of plant growth regulators and complex matrices of food, it is necessary to isolate and extract plant growth regulators by appropriate adsorbents in sample preparation for obtaining satisfactory results. In the last decade, several advanced materials as adsorbents have shown superiority in sample preparation. This review briefly introduces the recent application and progress of advanced materials as adsorbents in sample preparation for extraction of plant growth regulators from the complex matrix. In the end, the challenge and outlook about the extraction of plant growth regulators of these advanced adsorbents in sample preparation are presented.

RESUMEN

Background: Bone dysfunction is a crucial problem that occurs during rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease. Osteoclast plays a significant role in bone resorption and osteoclast differentiation and its enhancement of bone destruction. Edaravone remarkably exhibited free radical scavenging and anti-inflammatory effects. The objective of the current investigation is to comfort the inhibitory effect of Edaravone (ED) against complete Freund adjuvant (CFA) rat model via inhibition of angiogenesis and inflammation. Methods: Subcutaneous injection of CFA (1%) was used to induce arthritis; the rats were divided into different groups and received the oral administration of ED. Paw edema, body weight, and arthritis score were regularly estimated. Biochemical parameters were estimated, respectively. We also estimate the level of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), angiopoietin 1 (ANG-1), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). We also checked into how ED affected the differentiation of osteoclasts utilising a co-culture system with monocytes and synovial fibroblasts in arthritis rats. Results: ED treatment significantly (P<0.001) suppressed the arthritis score and paw edema and improved the body weight. ED treatment significantly (P<0.001) altered the antioxidant parameters and pro-inflammatory cytokines: inflammatory mediator nuclear kappa B factor (NF-κB), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), respectively. Furthermore, ED treatment significantly (P<0.001) suppressed the level of ANG-1, HIF-1α, and VEGF, respectively. The results suggest that ED suppressed osteoclast differentiation and also decreased the level of cytokines and osteopontin (OPN), receptor activator for nuclear factor-κ B Ligand (RANKL) and macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) in the co-culture supernatant of monocytes and synovial fibroblasts. Conclusion: Edaravone could mitigate CFA via inhibiting angiogenesis and inflammatory reactions, which may be linked with the HIF-1α-VEGF-ANG-1 axis and also enhance the bone destruction of murine arthritis via suppression of osteoclast differentiation and inflammatory reaction.

RESUMEN

Objective: To investigate the accuracy and reliability of augmented reality (AR) technique in locating the perforating vessels of the posterior tibial artery during the repair of soft tissue defects of the lower limbs with the posterior tibial artery perforator flap. Methods: Between June 2019 and June 2022, the posterior tibial artery perforator flap was used to repair the skin and soft tissue defects around the ankle in 10 cases. There were 7 males and 3 females with an average age of 53.7 years (mean, 33-69 years). The injury was caused by traffic accident in 5 cases, bruising by heavy weight in 4 cases, and machine injury in 1 case. The size of wound ranged from 5 cm×3 cm to 14 cm×7 cm. The interval between injury and operation was 7-24 days (mean, 12.8 days). The CT angiography of lower limbs before operation was performed and the data was used to reconstruct the three-dimensional images of perforating vessels and bones with Mimics software. The above images were projected and superimposed on the surface of the affected limb using AR technology, and the skin flap was designed and resected with precise positioning. The size of the flap ranged from 6 cm×4 cm to 15 cm×8 cm. The donor site was sutured directly or repaired with skin graft. Results: The 1-4 perforator branches of posterior tibial artery (mean, 3.4 perforator branches) in 10 patients were located by AR technique before operation. The location of perforator vessels during operation was basically consistent with that of AR before operation. The distance between the two locations ranged from 0 to 16 mm, with an average of 12.2 mm. The flap was successfully harvested and repaired according to the preoperative design. Nine flaps survived without vascular crisis. The local infection of skin graft occurred in 2 cases and the necrosis of the distal edge of the flap in 1 case, which healed after dressing change. The other skin grafts survived, and the incisions healed by first intention. All patients were followed up 6-12 months, with an average of 10.3 months. The flap was soft without obvious scar hyperplasia and contracture. At last follow-up, according to the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Association (AOFAS) score, the ankle function was excellent in 8 cases, good in 1 case, and poor in 1 case. Conclusion: AR technique can be used to determine the location of perforator vessels in the preoperative planning of the posterior tibial artery perforator flap, which can reduce the risk of flap necrosis, and the operation is simple.

Canagliflozin (CFZ) was a commercially new class of anti-diabetic drug, which had various anhydrate crystal forms and two hydrate crystal forms (Canagliflozin hemihydrate (Hemi-CFZ) and Canagliflozin monohydrate (Mono-CFZ) crystal form). Commercially available CFZ tablets' active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) was Hemi-CFZ, which was easy conversion to CFZ or Mono-CFZ under the influence of temperature, pressure, humidity and other factors in tablets processing, storage, and transportation, thus affected bioavailability and efficacy of tablets. Therefore, quantitative analysis low content of CFZ and Mono-CFZ in tablets was essential to control tablets' quality. The main objective of this study was to examine the feasibility of Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR), Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and Raman for quantitative analysis the low content of CFZ or Mono-CFZ in ternary mixtures. PLSR calibration models for low content of CFZ and Mono-CFZ were established by the solid analysis techniques of PXRD, NIR, ATR-FTIR and Raman combined with various pretreatments (such as Multiplicative Scatter Correction (MSC), Standard Normal Variate (SNV), Savitzky-Golay First Derivative (SG1st), Savitzky-Golay Second Derivative (SG2nd) and Wavelet Transform (WT)), and the correction models were verified. However, compared with PXRD, ATR-FTIR and Raman, NIR due to its water sensitivity was the most suitable for the quantitative analysis low content of CFZ or Mono-CFZ in tablets. Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) model for quantitative analysis low content of CFZ in tablets was as follow: Y = 0.0480 + 0.9928 X, R2 = 0.9986, LOD = 0.1596 %, LOQ = 0.4838 %, SG1st + WT pretreated. And that of Mono-CFZ were Y = 0.0050 + 0.9996 X, R2 = 0.9996, LOD = 0.0164 %, LOQ = 0.0498 %, MSC + WT pretreated and Y = 0.0051 + 0.9996 X, R2 = 0.9996, LOD = 0.0167 %, LOQ = 0.0505 %, SNV + WT pretreated, respectively. That can be used for quantitative analysis of impurity crystal content in drug production to ensure drug quality.

RESUMEN

Wound healing dressing based on a natural polymer of gellan gum incorporating zinc oxide nanoparticles and multiwall carbon nanotubes (GG/ZnONP + MWCNT) bionanocomposite film was fabricated via the solution casting method. The physicochemical properties of the film were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Moreover, the antibacterial properties of the bionanocomposite film were investigated for wound healing applications. The characterization results confirmed the reinforcement of the gellan gum (GG) matrix with zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONP) and multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), as an amorphous GG/ZnONP + MWCNT bionanocomposite film was obtained. SEM morphological analysis shows that the addition of ZnONP and MWCNT nanofillers changed the film microstructure into a sponge-like structure that is more suitable for fluid uptake and thus more useful for wound healing. The GG/ZnONP + MWCNT bionanocomposite film demonstrated good antibacterial activity against all strains tested. Furthermore, macroscopic analysis shows that the wound treated with GG/ZnONP + MWCNT bionanocomposite film recovered completely (100%) in 14 days, compared to pure GG film (90.76%) and negative control (77.40%). As a result, the GG/ZnONP + MWCNT bionanocomposite film could be a promising wound dressing material.

RESUMEN

Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a serious disease in patients with schizophrenia; it is necessary to evaluate the characteristics and influencing factors of MS to provide reliable evidence for the management of schizophrenia. Patients with schizophrenia treated in our hospital from January 1, 2018, to March 31, 2021, were selected. The characteristics and treatment details of MS and no-MS patients were evaluated. Pearson correlation analyses were applied for analyzing MS and related characteristics. Logistic regression analyses were conducted to evaluate the risk factors of MS in patients with schizophrenia. A total of 465 patients with schizophrenia were included, the incidence of MS in patients with schizophrenia was 18.06%. Pearson correlation analyses had found that age (r = 0.621), waist circumference (r = 0.744), body mass index (r = 0.691), diabetes (r = 0.598), course of disease (r = 0.504), triglyceride (r = 0.532), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (r = -0.518), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (r = 0.447), and total cholesterol (r = 0.523) were correlated with MS (all P < .05). Logistic regression analyses showed that age ≥55 years (odds ratio [OR]: 2.012, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.425-3.196), waist circumference ≥80 cm (OR: 1.944, 95% CI: 1.081-3.172), body mass index ≥24.5 kg/m2 (OR: 2.451, 95% CI: 1.825-3.108), diabetes (OR: 2.301, 95% CI: 1.944-2.881), course of disease ≥15 years (OR: 1.804, 95% CI: 1.236-2.845), triglyceride ≥1.5 mmol/L (OR: 2.032, 95% CI: 1.614-3.079), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ≤0.8 mmol/L (OR: 1.226, 95% CI: 1.102-1.845), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol ≥2 mmol/L (OR: 1.759, 95% CI: 1.236-1.987), and total cholesterol ≥4.5 mmol/L (OR: 1.664, 95% CI: 1.422-1.852) were the risk factors of MS in patients with schizophrenia (all P < .05). MS is very common in patients with schizophrenia, which may be associated with many possible risk factors, and early interventions and nursing care targeted at those influencing factors are needed to improve the prognosis of schizophrenia.

RESUMEN

Temperature, salinity, and pressure (TSP) are essential parameters for the ocean. Optical fiber sensors (OFSs) have rapidly come into focus as an ocean detection technology in recent years due to their advantages of electromagnetic interference, light weight, low cost, and no waterproof requirement. In this paper, the most recently developed TSP sensors for single parameter and multi-parameter TSP sensing and measurement based on different OFSs are reviewed. In addition, from the practical point of view, encapsulation methods that protect fibers and maintain the normal operation of OFSs in seawater, and the response time of the OFS, are addressed. Finally, we discuss the prospects and challenges of OFSs used in marine environments and provide some clues for future work.

RESUMEN

Lithium-promoted hydroboration of alkynes and alkenes using commercially available hexamethyldisilazane lithium as a precatalyst and HBpin as a hydride source has been developed. This method will be appealing for organic synthesis because of its remarkable substrate tolerance and good yields. Mechanistic studies revealed that the hydroboration proceeds through the in situ-formed BH3 species, which acts to drive the turnover of the hydroboration of alkynes and alkenes.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Femoral neck fractures in young people are usually Pauwels Type III fractures. The common treatment method are multiple parallel cannulated screws or dynamic hip screw sliding compression fixation. Due to the huge shear stress, the rate of complications such as femoral head necrosis and nonunion is still high after treatment. The aim of our study was to compare the stabilities of two fixation methods in fixating pauwels type III femoral neck fractures. METHODS: All biomimetic fracture samples are fixed with three cannulated screws combined with a medial buttress plate. There were two fixation groups for the buttress plate and proximal fracture fragment: Group A, long screw (40 mm); Group B, short screw (6 mm). Samples were subjected to electrical strain measurement under a load of 500 N, axial stiffness was measured, and then the samples were axially loaded until failure. More than 5 mm of displacement or synthetic bone fracture was considered as construct failure. RESULTS: There were no significant differences in failure load (P = 0.669), stiffness (P = 0.842), or strain distribution (P > 0.05) between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: Unicortical short screws can provide the same stability as long screws for Pauwels Type III Femoral Neck Fractures.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Gas-producing perianal abscess raises the possibility of clostridial infection, with Clostridium perfringens being the most common causative agent, which is highly lethal if untreated timely. As the treatment of clostridial infections often differs from that of non-clostridial infections, which they may closely resemble, the importance of accurate pathogenic organism identification cannot be overemphasized. The 16S rDNA of bacteria is highly conserved within a species and among species of the same genus but demonstrates substantial variation between different species, thus making it a suitable genomic candidate for bacterial detection and identification. CASE PRESENTATION: Here, we report the case of a 53-year-old patient who was admitted to the hospital for a gas-producing perianal abscess. The patient was managed with ceftizoxime and ornidazole and then received debridement and drainage at the lesion on the second day after admission. The bacterial cultures of the patient isolates from the debridement showed a coinfection of Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecium. Although perianal redness and swelling subsided obviously after the surgery, the patient was febrile to 38.3℃ with his left upper thigh red and swollen, aggravated with tenderness and crepitus. Considering insufficient debridement and the risk of incorrect identification of pathogens, a second debridement and drainage were performed 4 days after the primary operation, and 16S rDNA sequencing of the isolates implicated Clostridium perfringens infection. Given the discrepancies in diagnostic results and the treatment outcomes, Enterococcus faecium was identified as sample contamination, and a diagnosis of coinfection of Clostridium perfringens and Escherichia coli in gas-producing perianal abscess was confirmed. The patient was then successfully treated with meropenem and vancomycin and was discharged at 27 days of admission. CONCLUSIONS: This case represents the first report of coinfection of both clostridial and non-clostridial organisms in gas-producing perianal abscess and the first case reporting the use of 16S rDNA sequencing in the diagnosis of perianal abscess. Timely pathogen identification is critical for treating gas-producing perianal abscess and an antibiotic regimen covering both aerobic and anaerobic organisms is recommended before true pathogens are identified.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Femoral neck fracture combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head is very rare. To our knowledge, there is no classification system yet for this rare form of injury, and the injury mechanism of femoral neck fracture combined with obturator head dislocation has not been described in the literature. In this study, we systematically reviewed the literature and the cases treated in our hospital, and identified and classified all injury types according to the injury mechanism of femoral neck fracture combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head. Further, based on the experience of treating a patient with femoral neck fracture and obturator dislocation of the femoral head, a theoretical hypothesis was proposed for the injury mechanism of this rare type of injury. METHODS: A comprehensive search was conducted on PubMed, WOS, CNKI database. These fractures were classified according to the dislocation site and injury mechanism (one injury or two injuries). RESULTS: 1891 articles were initially identified through PubMed and other databases, and after bibliographic research, study screening, and removing duplicates, 1455 articles were selected. After applying the exclusion criteria, a total of 18 full-text articles describing femoral neck fractures combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head. Different dislocation sites have different injury mechanisms. Our classification system, to the best of the authors' knowledge, allowed us to include all types of femoral neck fractures combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head from the literature. According to the proposed classification system, the morphological features of femoral neck fracture combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head can be accurately conveyed between doctors. CONCLUSIONS: All injury patterns can likely be identified using the proposed classification system. This can help avoid confusion in the nomenclature of femoral neck fractures combined with anterior dislocation of the femoral head and help surgeons to more accurately detect lesions, thereby guiding surgical treatment.
