RESUMEN

A middle/low-temperature coal tar (M/LTCT) was obtained from a low-temperature carbonization plant in Shaanxi, China. The M/LTCT was separated into light components and coal tar pitch through extraction. A series of alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, oxygen-containing arenes (OCAs), and nitrogen-containing arenes were fractionated from light components by medium-pressure preparative chromatography with gradient elution using petroleum ether and ethyl acetate. They were analyzed using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) and a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The OCAs were analyzed by a Fourier transform Orbitrap MS (quadrupole exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometer), and the molecular distribution of the O 1-O 6 species was studied. OCAs are mainly oxygen-containing aromatic compounds, including aromatic phenols, furans, alkoxy aromatic hydrocarbons, aromatic ethers, aromatic aldehydes, aromatic ketones, and aromatic acids. The position of the oxygen atom on the aromatic ring and the condensation form of the aromatic ring are studied.

RESUMEN

Ethanolysis of lignite is an effective approach for converting organic matter of lignite to liquid coal derivatives. Xilinguole lignite (XL) was reacted with ethanol at 320 °C. Then ethanol and isometric carbon disulfide/acetone mixture were used to extract the reaction mixture in a modified Soxhlet extractor to afford extractable portion 1 (EP1) and extractable portion 2 (EP2), respectively. According to analysis of EP1 with a gas chromatography/mass spectrometer, phenolic compounds made up more than 33% of the compounds detected. This could be ascribed to the ethanolysis of XL; that is, ethanol could selectively break the Calkyl-O bonds in lignite, producing more phenolic compounds. Furthermore, a quadrupole Orbitrap mass spectrometer equipped with an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization source was used for comprehensive analysis of the compositional features of EP1. The analysis indicated that O1-3, N1O0-2, and N2S1O3-6 were predominant class species in EP1. Nitrogen atoms in NO-containing organic compounds may exist in the form of pyridine or amidogen, while oxygen atoms primarily exist in furan, alkoxy, carbonyl, and ester groups. In addition, possible chemical structures of NO-containing organic compounds were speculated.

RESUMEN

Gallium nitride (GaN) is a superior candidate material for fabricating ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors (PDs) by taking advantage of its attractive wide bandgap (3.4 eV) and stable chemical and physical properties. However, the performance of available GaN-based UV PDs (e.g., in terms of detectivity and sensitivity) still require improvement. Fabricating nanoporous GaN (porous-GaN) structures and constructing organic/inorganic hybrids are two effective ways to improve the performance of PDs. In this study, a novel self-powered UV PD was developed by using p-type cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) and n-type porous-GaN (CoPc/porous-GaN) to construct a p-n vertical heterojunction via a thermal vapor deposition method. Under 365 nm 0.009 mWcm-2 light illumination, our device showed a photoresponsivity of 588 mA/W, a detectivity of 4.8 × 1012 Jones, and a linear dynamic range of 79.5 dB, which are better than CoPc- and flat-GaN (CoPc/flat-GaN)-based PDs. The high performance was mainly attributed to the built-in electric field (BEF) generated at the interface of the CoPc film and the nanoporous-GaN, as well as the nanoporous structure of GaN, which allows for a higher absorptivity of light. Furthermore, the device showed excellent stability, as its photoelectrical property and on/off switching behavior remained the same, even after 3 months.

RESUMEN

An environmentally benign and cost-effective method was designed for isolating and purifying condensed arenes from acetone-extractable portion (AEP) of a high-temperature coal tar through a high pressure preparative chromatograph (HPPC) with different packings, including silica gel, octadecyl silane, octyl bonded silica gel, and diol bonded silica gel. In total, 196 compounds were detected with a gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer from AEP and its eluates. From the eluates, naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, fluoranthene, and pyrene were successfully isolated and purified, and their structures were confirmed by their 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra in addition to their mass spectra. Extraction-HPPC device and solvent recovery process were designed and developed, which can potentially be applied to industrial production because the process is easy-to-operate and ecofriendliness. In addition, the solvents used can be easily recovered and reused, and neither waste water nor other pollutions are emitted.

RESUMEN

We derive a state-dependent error-disturbance trade-off based on a statistical distance in the sequential measurements of a pair of noncommutative observables and experimentally verify the relation with a photonic qubit system. We anticipate that this Letter may further stimulate the study on the quantum uncertainty principle and related applications in quantum measurements.

RESUMEN

In quantum theory, the retrodiction problem is not as clear as its classical counterpart because of the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics. In classical physics, the measurement outcomes of the present state can be used directly for predicting the future events and inferring the past events which is known as retrodiction. However, as a probabilistic theory, quantum-mechanical retrodiction is a nontrivial problem that has been investigated for a long time, of which the Mean King Problem is one of the most extensively studied issues. Here, we present the first experimental test of a variant of the Mean King Problem, which has a more stringent regulation and is termed "Tracking the King." We demonstrate that Alice, by harnessing the shared entanglement and controlled-not gate, can successfully retrodict the choice of King's measurement without knowing any measurement outcome. Our results also provide a counterintuitive quantum communication to deliver information hidden in the choice of measurement.

RESUMEN

Entanglement monotones, such as the concurrence, are useful tools to characterize quantum correlations in various physical systems. The computation of the concurrence involves, however, difficult optimizations and only for the simplest case of two qubits a closed formula was found by Wootters [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 2245 (1998)]. We show how this approach can be generalized, resulting in lower bounds on the concurrence for higher dimensional systems as well as for multipartite systems. We demonstrate that for certain families of states our results constitute the strongest bipartite entanglement criterion so far; moreover, they allow us to recognize novel families of multiparticle bound entangled states.

RESUMEN

In this work, we made progress on the problem that [ symbol: see text] is a Banach algebra under schur product. Our results extend Tonge's results. We also obtained estimates for the norm of the random quadralinear form A:l(r)(M) x l(p)(N) x l(q)(K) x l(s)(H)-->C, defined by: A(e(i), e(j), e(k), e(s))=a(ijks), where the (a(ijks))'s are uniformly bounded, independent, mean zero random variables. We proved that under some conditions [ symbol: see text] is not a Banach algebra under schur product.
