RESUMEN

Creativity encompasses a wide range of topics and practically all aspects of life (arts, schools, workplaces, inventions etc.). The new theme, which is a negative and malevolent type of creativity, has piqued people's interest. And, despite the fact that the number of studies on the issue has expanded in recent years, its relationship with most constructions or predictability has yet to be explored. Aggression (Meshkova, 2018; Hao et al., 2016; Harris & Reiter-Palmon, 2015; Harris, 2013; Lee & Dow, 2011), emotional intelligence (Harris & Reiter-Palmon, 2013), resilience (Wang, Wang & Chen, 2022), humor (Perchtold-Stefan et al., 2020/a), childhood neglect (Jia, Wang & Lin, 2020), and other factors have already been studied in relationship with malevolent creativity. It has also been investigated with adolescents (Wang, Wang, Chen, 2022), adults (Hao et al., 2016, 2020; Baas et al., 2019; Harris & Reiter-Palmon, 2015; Harris, 2013; Lee & Dow, 2011), and was less studied on the prison population (Meshkova et al, 2018, Bochkova, 2020). The most significant goal of this paper is to paint a complete picture of malevolent creativity, from its link to creativity to the concept's freaking out to the study of malevolent creativity's measuring stones. To accomplish so, he looks for material in the most recent professional journals and employs a critical mindset. What's crucial, and what some writers are doing already, is that they use both scientific instruments in their research, thus balancing the measuring instru ments' weaknesses (Perchtold-Stefan, 2021/a,b).

RESUMEN

Malevolent creativity, which can be defined as creativity that is deliberately planned to damage others, is a concept that explains how the capacity to generate novel and effective outcomes (creativity) may, on occasion, be misapplied. The present study used 130 male inmates of the Oradea Maximum Security Penitentiary in Romania to explore the ability of a set of personality variables (the dark triad, self-efficacy, and self-esteem) to predict malevolent creative ideation. The findings indicate that Machiavellianism and self-efficacy were significant predictors of malevolent creative ideation in the form of lying, while only Machiavellianism was a significant predictor of malevolent creative ideation in the form of hurting people. In addition, the present study found significant differences among subgroups in the sample, with more experienced offenders showing higher levels of malevolent creative ideation.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: The relationship between the type of physical aggressive behavior, callous/unemotional traits and behavioral problems was extensively studied in the literature, but no similar data exist in Hungarian adolescents. AIM: In the present study, the type of aggressive behavior was assessed in adolescents on a normative sample to study its relationship with callous/unemotional traits and behavioral problems. SAMPLE: 223 students were participated in the study after informed consent (girls, n=106, age: 14.2±1.5 years; boys, n=117, age: 13.9±1.6 years) from primary and secondary schools in Miskolc and adjacent areas. METHODS: The Reactive/Proactive Aggression Questionnaire was used to assess the level of aggressive behavior, the Inventory of Callous Unemotional Traits was used to measure callous/unemotional traits, while behavioral problems were established by the means of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. RESULTS: In the present non-clinical sample, the level of reactive aggression was higher than the level of proactive aggressive behavior. In boys, proactive and total aggression measures were significantly higher compared to girls. In both genders, reactive aggression was specifically associated with emotional and peer-related problems. Proactive aggression was correlated positively with callous traits in both genders, while self-reported prosocial behavior had an inverse correlation with proactive aggressive behavior in boys. Self reported conduct- and hyperactivity problems were positively correlated with both types of aggressive behavior in both genders. The strongest positive correlation was observed between self-reported conduct symptoms and both types of aggressive behavior. CONCLUSIONS: Callous/unemotional traits were related with proactive forms of aggression, similar to literature data. Reactive aggressive behavior was related to peer-related and emotional problems, thus our data outlined the importance of the distinction between the two main types of aggression.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The phenomenon of bullying in the schools is more frequent in our country and abroad too. The bullying behaviour is a persistent, intentional harm of others where the balance of power between the participants is uneven.Researches about school bullying has provided many useful information regarding prevention and treatment of bullying but only the few of them takes an interest in the personality traits in bullies which can increase the appearance of the aggressive, bullying behaviour. The callous/unemotional traits get a growing role in the explanation and understanding of aggressive behaviour. In case of the presence of callous/unemotional traits a special emotional (lack of guilt, shallow emotions) and interpersonal style (use of proactive aggression and absence of responsibility) can be observed in children. AIM: The purpose of our study was to measure the callous/unemotional traits between the different groups determined by the role they play in the bullying. We assume that the presence of callous/unemotional traits are significantly more typical within the group of Bullies than the other groups. SAMPLE: Our sample consisted of 117 elementary school students (6th-8th grade). METHOD: To examine the roles of bullying we used the Bullying Questionniare. The questionnaire consist 23 items, it was developed to determine the role of students and involvement in the process of bullying. To measure callous/ unemotional traits we used the Inventory of Callous Unemotional Traits (ICU) developed by Frick which measure the factors of callous unemotional traits along 24 items. RESULTS: According to our results the group of Bullies scored significantly higher in all three factors of the Inventory of Callous Unemotional Traits compared to other groups. Treatment of callous/unemotional features may reduce the occurrence of bullying.

RESUMEN

UNLABELLED: In the understanding of aggressive behaviour an important role is contributed to callous/unemotional (C/U) traits (lack of guilty and empathy, grandiose self, manipulation). C/U traits are parts of psychopathy construct. There were a growing amount of researches in last decades connected to the appearance of C/U traits among children. Cognitive, behavioral and emotional features were identified among children with C/U traits which may contribute to the appearance of aggressive behavior. AIM: Aim of this paper is to examine connection between C/U traits and interpersonal characteristics in normative population. This paper is a part of a publication serial taken by the Institution of Psychology at the University of Debrecen and Vadaskert Child Psychiatry Hospital and Outpatient Clinic about callous/unemotional traits. METHODS AND SAMPLE: We studied 223 elementary and secondary school students using the Inventory of Callous Unemotional Traits and the Strenghts and Difficulties Questionnare. RESULTS: In case of moderate appearance of callous/unemotional traits behavior problems, relationship problems and hyperactivity are more typical furthermore presence of prosocial behavior is less typical. CONCLUSION: Results from normal population confirm assumption that C/U traits contribute to the appearance of juvenile aggression and antisocial behavior.

RESUMEN

There has been a growing body of researches about psychopathic tendencies appearing among children and adolescents. First generation studies differentiated psychopathic constellation from conduct problems in childhood and pointed out that the presence of these traits predict unpleasant therapeutic prognosis and is partly independent from quality of parenting. The factor structure of constellation is similar to the factor structure of adult psychopaths. Surveying the structure became clear that C/U traits are the core of the child and adolescent psychopathic constellation. This paper summarize results of empirical studies connected to C/U traits among children and adolescents. We introduce debatable questions about child and adolescent psychopathic traits and connected empirical studies.
