RESUMEN

The real-time performance of light-field 3D encryption technology based on the integral imaging principle is restricted by the acquisition speed and the data of the elemental image array (EIA). Herein, we propose a light-field 3D encryption scheme based on monocular depth rendering. With the help of a convolution residuals network (CRN), the proposed scheme can generate the corresponding depth map from a single RGB image and simplify the pickup process of the EIA according to the image mapping. For encryption, using reversible state loop cellular automata (RSL-CA) to encrypt a single RGB image updates traditional 3D encryption, greatly improving the security and efficiency of the encryption algorithm. It is experimentally demonstrated that optical 3D reconstruction is clear and brightly colorful and also has a good parallax effect. The proposed method can open a brand-new research perspective for light-field 3D encryption.

Polyphenols exhibit potential functional activities, especially rosmarinic acid (RosA) and caffeic acid (CafA). In this study, two different methods, ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction (60%) and ultrasound-assisted cellulase (≥15 000 Ug-1, 2%) hydrolysis, were used for the extraction of the total phenolics from 44 species of Perilla frutescens. The Folin-Ciocalteu method of detection showed that the content of the total phenolics extracted by cellulase hydrolysis was the highest and attained up to 28.00 mgGAE per gextracts for ZB1. Continuously, the extracts were purified using XDA-8 macroporous resin and medium-pressure liquid chromatography (MPLC), and the content of the total phenolics improved to 66.62 mgGAE per gextract. A high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) assay showed that the total polyphenols were mainly composed of gallic acid, caffeic acid, rosmarinic acid, luteolin and apigenin. Besides, a sequential XDA-8 macroporous resin combined with high-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC)/MPLC system was established for the simultaneous isolation and preparation of RosA (purity 98.29%) and CafA (purity 97.01%) from the extracts. Furthermore, the antibacterial activities of the total polyphenols were evaluated by the disc diffusion method and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation. The results verified that the total polyphenols had effective antibacterial activity on three kinds of bacteria including E. coli, S. aureus, and B. subtilis in a concentration-dependent manner. All of these results demonstrated that the ultrasound-assisted cellulase hydrolysis extraction of the total polyphenols and the proposed three-step separation of RosA and CafA gave high yields and good purity, and they exhibited effective antibacterial ability.

PURPOSE: The present study investigates the phytosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Perilla frutescens leaf extract, which acts as a reducing agent for the conversion of silver ions (Ag+) into AgNPs. P. frutescens leaf synthesized AgNPs (PF@AgNPs) were evaluated for biomedical properties including antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer activities. MATERIALS AND METHODS: PF@AgNPs were synthesized using P. frutescens leaf extract and silver nitrate solution. The morphology and physical properties of PF@AgNPs were studied by spectroscopic techniques including, UV-Vis, FTIR, TEM, XRD, DLS, and TGA. Antibacterial activity of PF@AgNPs was evaluated by disk diffusion assay. Antioxidant activity of PF@AgNPs was checked by 2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), and 2.2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) free radical scavenging assays. Anticancer activity of PF@AgNPs was checked by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay. Cytotoxic effects of PF@AgNPs on most susceptible cancer cell lines were observed by phase contrast microscopy. RESULTS: PF@AgNPs showed surface plasmon resonance peak at 461 nm. XRD pattern showed that the PF@AgNPs were face-centered cubic crystals with a mean size of 25.71 nm. TEM analysis revealed the different shapes (spherical, rhombic, triangle, and rod) of PF@AgNPs. Zeta potential value (-25.83 mV) indicated that PF@AgNPs were long-term stable and not agglomerated. A low polydispersity index value (0.389) indicated the monodispersity of PF@AgNPs. TGA revealed the high thermal stability of PF@AgNPs. PF@AgNPs exhibited maximum inhibition against Escherichia coli, followed by Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. PF@AgNPs showed maximum inhibition of 68.02 and 62.93% against DPPH and ABTS-free radicals, respectively. PF@AgNPs showed significant anticancer activity against human colon cancer (COLO205) and prostate adenocarcinoma (LNCaP). PF@AgNPs exhibited apoptotic effects on LNCaP cells including cell shrinkage, membrane blebbing, chromatin condensation, fragmentation of nuclei, and formation of apoptotic bodies. CONCLUSION: The present study reports the successful synthesis of PF@AgNPs using P. frutescens leaf extract. The synthesized PF@AgNPs are FCC crystals, monodispersed, long-term stable, and non-agglomerated. The observed antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer activities demonstrate the potential biomedical applications of PF@AgNPs.

Soybean dregs fermented by Neurospora crassa is a typical traditional food in Gannan district of China. In this study, in vitro imitated gut fermentation was carried out to evaluate whether the oligosaccharides from this fermented soybean dregs had potential prebiotic properties. 11.91% of oligosaccharides were extracted from the fermented soybean dregs at the optimized condition which of 1:25 for ratio of soybean dregs (g) to 50% ethanol (ml), 90 min of extracted duration at 70 °C for twice. The soybean dreg oligosaccharides (SBOS) were progressively purified with Sevag method and on columns filled with AB-8 macroporous resin, and then identified as cellobiose by HPLC-ESI-MS and FT-IR. Oligosaccharides of soybean dregs with 800 mg/L significantly decreased pH value (p < 0.05) and ammonia N concentration (p < 0.05), and increased short chain fatty acid (SCFA) level (p < 0.05) in imitated gut fermentation compared with control group. It was shown that this fermented soybean dregs could be a potential prebiotic food.
