[Critical considerations on the "innominate grooves" of the colon (author's transl)]. / Kritische Betrachtungen zu den "innominate grooves" des Kolons.

The authors discuss the meaning of the "innominate grooves" of the colon after having determined their anatomic substratum with a microradiographic study. In the iconographic and methodological critical evaluation of the double contrast technique the "innominate grooves" must be considered as an important sign of today's radiologic semeiotics and as elementary mucous structures which are first affected by pathologic situations.

A case of oro-pharyngeal oesophagus papillomatosis is described. It was associated with an adeno-carcinoma of the stomach. A brief, critical review of the literature with consideration of the aetiology and pathology is given.

Angiographic and microradiographic demonstration of the linear vascular pattern in renal neoplasms.

The linear striated vascular pattern in the kidney is discussed in the light of nine new examples. Based on the histomicroangiographic findings in 2 cases, the pathogenic mechanism underlying this phenomenon is discussed, and the pattern is considered a sure sign of venous tumor infiltration.

Xeroradiographic study of haemophilic arthropathy.

The results of a xeroradiographic study of 50 patients with haemophilia in various stages of severity are reported. In comparison with traditional radiographic examination, the xeroradiographic method seems preferable especially in the early stages of disease, when alterations are limited to the soft tissues and the skeletal structures are intact. The main indications and methods of further research are discussed in this preliminary report.

Bilateral aneurysms of the cervical internal carotid arteries.

An unusual case of bilateral aneurysms of the internal cervical carotid arteries in a 38 year old man with right hemiplegia and aphasia is described.

[Microangiographic examination of the normal and diseased gall bladder (author's transl)]. / Studio microangiografico della colecisti umana normale e patologica.

Microangiographic and anatomical examination of 30 surgically removed gall bladders is reported. The findings in normal subjects and in some forms of chronic disease (lithiatic, atrophic, hypertrophic and porcelain cholecystopathy) are described, illustrated and discussed with reference to signs that aid in the interpretation of angiographic pictures in vivo.

Angiographic follow-up of a case of moyamoya after three years revealed the appearance of arteriovenous anastomosis between the middle meningeal artery and the sigmoid sinus.

[Thanatophoric dwarfism (author's transl)]. / Il nanismo tanatoforo

Two cases of thanatophoric dwarfism, one associated with cloverleaf skull diagnosed in the uterus and complete with histological findings are reported. Differential diagnosis with respect to similar forms of dwarfism and the genetic problem are discussed.
