We describe a patient with unilateral ulcerations on the forehead and scalp, occurring 3 months after herpes zoster infection. Further investigations were unremarkable. Histology showed epidermal and upper dermal ulceration associated with a mild nonspecific dermal inflammatory infiltrate composed of lymphoid cells and histiocytes.

Traction alopecia (TA) is an underreported scarring alopecia in children and adolescents. TA occurs from chronic tensile forces on the hair and can be caused by different hairstyles that pull the hair tightly, such as regularly wearing braids, ponytails, cornrows, dreadlocks, and weaves, or by treating hair with rollers, hair extensions, or chemical relaxers.

Stüve-Wiedemann syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive congenital primary skeletal dysplasia, characterized by small stature, bowed long bones, joint restrictions, hyperthermic episodes, dysautonomia, and respiratory and feeding difficulties, that usually leads to early mortality. Cutaneous manifestations have rarely been reported. We report the case of a girl with Stüve-Wiedemann syndrome presenting with progressive development of multiple eruptive vellus hair cysts.
