RESUMEN
This study reviewed all cases of complete uterine rupture (UR) in pregnancy during the decade 1993-2002. In 69,412 deliveries, 5,320 women had a single prior caesarean section. Of these, 4,021 had a trial of labour and 3,129 (77.8%) delivered vaginally. In nine (0.22%) cases, the previous transverse scar ruptured during labour. None of these nine ruptures resulted in maternal or fetal death, peripartum hysterectomy or fetal morbidity. In our practice, a trial of labour in women with a previous low transverse caesarean is associated with a high rate of vaginal delivery and a low rate of UR.

Despite the lack of awareness by the clinicians consulted of the most suitable treatment for accidentally injected epinephrine, this patient was successfully treated due mainly to the ability of clinicians on-site to access the Internet in the A&E department. A broad search engine such as Google can be an invaluable tool in finding important clinical information rapidly.

A 56-year-old woman receiving Depixol injections for schizophrenia presented with two separate episodes of breast fat necrosis with no identifiable cause. It is postulated that the fat necrosis could be as of a result of the Depixol injections, where this drug is taken up into the breast fat and subsequently rapidly hydrolysed resulting in fat necrosis.
