RESUMEN

Purpose: The effect of carotid artery stenting in patients with unilateral carotid artery stenosis on the retina and choroid was evaluated using swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA). Methods: SS-OCTA examination was conducted before stenting and 4 days and 3 months after stenting. The retinal nerve fiber layer, ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL), inner nuclear layer, superficial vascular complex (SVC), deep vascular complex (DVC), choroidal vascular volume (CVV), and choroidal vascular index were measured. Repeated-measures analysis of variance was performed to assess the impact of carotid artery stenting on optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) metrics. Results: At baseline, 303 eyes from 160 patients (61.82 ± 9.98 years; 85.29% males) were enrolled. SVC and DVC densities and CVV were lower in ipsilateral eyes (stenosed side) compared to contralateral eyes (all P < 0.05). Four days after stenting, a significant increase was seen in SVC density in ipsilateral eyes (P < 0.05) while a significant increase was seen in CVV in ipsilateral eyes and contralateral eyes (both P < 0.05). Three months after stenting (63 patients with 114 eyes), a significant decrease was seen in the GCIPL thickness of ipsilateral and contralateral eyes (all P < 0.001). Conclusions: Short term after carotid artery stenting, ipsilateral eyes showed a rapid and significant increase in SVC density and CVV. Translational Relevance: Optical coherence tomography (OCT)/OCTA measurements may have the potential to detect retinal and choroidal changes after stenting. Future research on the long-term effect of stenting on the retina and choroid will be guided by these findings.

We report, to the best of our knowledge, the first demonstration of an O + E-band tunable watt-level bismuth-doped phosphosilicate fiber laser and its frequency doubling to tunable red laser. Benefiting from the two types of bismuth active centers associated with silicon and phosphorus introduced in one fiber, an ultrabroad gain is available in the designed low-water-peak bismuth-doped phosphosilicate fiber (Bi-PSF) pumped by a self-made 1239 nm Raman fiber laser. The high-efficiency tunable lasing is achieved with a maximum output power of 1.705 W around 1320 nm and a slope efficiency of 33.0%. The wavelength can be continuously tuned from 1283 to 1460 nm over a 177 nm spectral range, almost covering the whole O+E-bands. We further employ a polarization beam splitter in the cavity to output an O + E-band linear-polarization laser for second-harmonic generation by a designed multi-period MgO2:PPLN crystal, and a 650-690-nm tunable visible laser is correspondingly obtained. Such an O+E-wideband tunable high-power laser and the SHG red laser may have great potential in the all-band optical communications, biophotonics, and spectroscopy.

Cultivation of microalgae using anaerobic digestate is a gain-win strategy for algal biomass production and achieving environmental benefits. However, the low biomass concentration and high harvest cost of the conventional suspended microalgae culture system are troublesome issues. In this study, a novel fluidized bed photobioreactor (FBPBR) based on diatomite powder was constructed for cultivating Scenedesmus quadricauda and treating diluted anaerobic digestate. The optimized diatomite carrier dosage of 750 mg/L increased microalgal biomass concentration to 1.58 g/L compared to suspended microalgae without carrier (0.99 g/L). When the light intensity was increased from 100 to 200 µmol/m2/s, the microalgal biomass in the FBPBR increased to 1.84 g/L and the settling efficiency increased to 93.58 %. This was due to the 1.60-fold enhancement of extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) secretion and changes in EPS properties. The increase in hydrophobic functional groups of EPS under high light intensity, coupled with the reconstitution of protein secondary structure, facilitated the initial attachment of algae to diatomite and the thickening of microalgal biofilm. Moreover, transcriptomic analysis demonstrated that diatomite promoted antioxidant defense and photosynthesis in S. quadricauda cells, alleviating the adverse effect of anaerobic digestate stress. The diatomite addition and elevated light intensity contributed to the highest lipid content (60.37 %), which was owing to the upregulated genes encoding fatty acid and triacylglycerol synthesis under the stress of localized nutrient starvation in the inner layer of microalgae biofilms. Furthermore, the regulation of phosphorus metabolism and NH4+-N assimilation improved nutrient removal (93.24 % and 96.86 % for NH4+-N and TP removal). This work will provide guidance for the development of FBPBR based on diatomite powder.

Metastasis to the lungs is a leading cause of death for breast cancer patients. Therefore, effective therapies are urgently needed to prevent and treat breast cancer lung metastasis In this study, we uncovered a mechanism by which NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) orchestrates lung metastasis. NQO1 stabilized and upregulated peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA), a chaperone that regulates protein conformation and activity, by preventing its oxidation at a critical cysteine residue C161. PPIA subsequently activated CD147, a membrane protein that facilitates cell invasion. Moreover, NQO1-induced secretion of PPIA modulated the immune landscape of both primary and lung metastatic sites. Secreted PPIA engaged CD147 on neutrophils and triggered the release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NET) and neutrophil elastase, which enhanced tumor progression, invasiveness and lung colonization. Pharmacological targeting of PPIA effectively inhibited NQO1-mediated breast cancer lung metastasis. These findings reveal a previously unrecognized NQO1-PPIA-CD147-NET axis that drives breast cancer lung metastasis. Inhibiting this axis is a potential therapeutic strategy to limit lung metastasis in breast cancer patients.

Singlet fission (SF) is a triplet generation mechanism capable of turning a singlet exciton into two triplet excitons. It has the potential to enhance the power conversion efficiency of single-junction solar cells. Perylene diimides (PDIs) are a class of dye molecules with photovoltaic properties and are beginning to receive more and more attention due to their potential for SF. Here, we report a selenium-substituted PDI dimer, Se-PDI-II, and we studied its SF mechanism by using steady-state, transient absorption, and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. Compared with the unsubstituted dimer PDI-II, we found that the introduction of selenium atoms can suppress excimer emission during the SF process, showing much higher SF efficiency and triplet yield.

Purpose: Retinal microvascular changes are associated with ischemic stroke, and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a potential tool to reveal the retinal microvasculature. We investigated the feasibility of using the OCTA image to automatically identify ischemic stroke and its subtypes (i.e. lacunar and non-lacunar stroke), and exploited the association of retinal biomarkers with the subtypes of ischemic stroke. Methods: Two cohorts were included in this study and a total of 1730 eyes from 865 participants were studied. A deep learning model was developed to discriminate the subjects with ischemic stroke from healthy controls and to distinguish the subtypes of ischemic stroke. We also extracted geometric parameters of the retinal microvasculature at different retinal layers to investigate the correlations. Results: Superficial vascular plexus (SVP) yielded the highest areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUCs) of 0.922 and 0.871 for the ischemic stroke detection and stroke subtypes classification, respectively. For external data validation, our model achieved an AUC of 0.822 and 0.766 for the ischemic stroke detection and stroke subtypes classification, respectively. When parameterizing the OCTA images, we showed individuals with ischemic strokes had increased SVP tortuosity (B = 0.085, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.005-0.166, P = 0.038) and reduced FAZ circularity (B = -0.212, 95% CI = -0.42 to -0.005, P = 0.045); non-lacunar stroke had reduced SVP FAZ circularity (P = 0.027) compared to lacunar stroke. Conclusions: Our study demonstrates the applicability of artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced OCTA image analysis for ischemic stroke detection and its subtypes classification. Biomarkers from retinal OCTA images can provide useful information for clinical decision-making and diagnosis of ischemic stroke and its subtypes.

Although small pore Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts have been successful as commercial catalysts for controlling NOx emissions from mobile sources, the challenges of high light-off temperature, SO2 tolerance and hydrothermal stability still need to be addressed. Here, we synthesized a multifunctional core-shell catalyst with Cu-SSZ-13 as the core phase and Ce-MnOx supported Mesoporous-silica (Meso-SiO2) as the shell phase via self-assembly and impregnation. The core-shell catalyst exhibited excellent low-temperature activity, SO2 tolerance and hydrothermal stability compared to the Cu-SSZ-13. The Ce-MnOx species dispersed in the shell are found to enhance both the acidic and oxidative properties of the core-shell catalyst. More critically, these species can rapidly activate NO and oxidize it to NO2, which allows the NH3-SCR reaction on the core-shell catalyst to be initiated in the shell phase. Meanwhile, Ce-MnOx species can react preferentially with SO2 as sacrifice components, effectively avoiding the sulfur inactivation of the copper active sites. Furthermore, the hydrophobic Meso-SiO2 shell provides an important barrier for the core phase, which reduces the loss of active species, acid sites and framework Al of the aged core-shell catalyst and mitigates the collapse of the zeolite framework. This work provides a new strategy for the design of novel and efficient NH3-SCR catalysts.

Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common congenital disability affecting healthy development and growth, even resulting in pregnancy termination or fetal death. Recently, deep learning techniques have made remarkable progress to assist in diagnosing CHD. One very popular method is directly classifying fetal ultrasound images, recognized as abnormal and normal, which tends to focus more on global features and neglects semantic knowledge of anatomical structures. The other approach is segmentation-based diagnosis, which requires a large number of pixel-level annotation masks for training. However, the detailed pixel-level segmentation annotation is costly or even unavailable. Based on the above analysis, we propose SKGC, a universal framework to identify normal or abnormal four-chamber heart (4CH) images, guided by a few annotation masks, while improving accuracy remarkably. SKGC consists of a semantic-level knowledge extraction module (SKEM), a multi-knowledge fusion module (MFM), and a classification module (CM). SKEM is responsible for obtaining high-level semantic knowledge, serving as an abstract representation of the anatomical structures that obstetricians focus on. MFM is a lightweight but efficient module that fuses semantic-level knowledge with the original specific knowledge in ultrasound images. CM classifies the fused knowledge and can be replaced by any advanced classifier. Moreover, we design a new loss function that enhances the constraint between the foreground and background predictions, improving the quality of the semantic-level knowledge. Experimental results on the collected real-world NA-4CH and the publicly FEST datasets show that SKGC achieves impressive performance with the best accuracy of 99.68% and 95.40%, respectively. Notably, the accuracy improves from 74.68% to 88.14% using only 10 labeled masks.

Radiotherapy (RT) and immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) are important treatments for esophageal cancer. Some studies have confirmed the safety and effectiveness of using RT in combination with ICI, while serious side effects have been exhibited by some patients. We report a patient with metastatic esophageal cancer who received RT combined with ICI. The patient experienced severe thrombocytopenia, and treatment with thrombopoietin and corticosteroids were ineffective. Finally, the patient developed abscopal hyperprogression outside the radiation field. Interestingly, next-generation sequencing revealed increased JAK2 gene copies in the surgical slices. The JAK2/STAT3 pathway is involved in the regulation of megakaryocyte development. Recurrent thrombocytopenia may activate the JAK2/STAT3 pathway, leading to megakaryocyte differentiation and platelet biogenesis. However, persistent activation of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway has been associated with immune ICI resistance and tumor progression. This case indicates that thrombocytopenia and increased JAK2 gene copies may be risk factors for poor prognosis after ICI and RT treatment.

OBJECTIVE: Polymerization shrinkage poses a significant challenge in dental resin composites. The objective of this study is to introduce spiroorthocarbonate monomer 3,9-dimethylene-1,3,5,7-tetraoxa-spiro[5,5]undecane (BMSOC) and epoxy resin monomer 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexane carboxylate (ECHM-ECHC) into bisphenol-S-bis(3-methacrylato-2-hydroxy propyl)ether (BisS-GMA) based resin composites to develop composites with reduced shrinkage properties. METHODS: BMSOC and BisS-GMA were synthesized and thoroughly mixed with ECHM-ECHC, followed by inorganic fillers and photoinitiators. Based on the composition of the resin matrix, five groups of experimental composites were prepared, with traditional bisphenol A-dimethacrylate glycidyl ester (Bis-GMA)/triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) based composite serving as the control. The polymerization properties, including degree of conversion (DC) and polymerization shrinkage (PS), as well as marginal microleakage, wettability, flexural strength (FS), flexural modulus (FM), and biocompatibility were evaluated. RESULTS: The results demonstrated that compared with the control group, the PS of BisS-GMA based composites containing BMSOC and ECHM-ECHC were significantly reduced (P < 0.05), and the lowest PS (0.96 ± 0.08 %) was observed when the ratio of BisS-GMA: (Epoxy + BMSOC) was 4:6. Additionally, the experimental composites also exhibited improved DC, minimal microleakage, low hydrophilicity, enhanced mechanical properties, qualified in vivo biocompatibility, and slight/moderate in vitro biocompatibility. SIGNIFICANCE: The resin composites incorporating multiple modified low-shrink monomers are promising for dental applications to prevent various clinical problems caused by PS and extend restoration longevity.

The phototactic behavior of insects is commonly used to manage pest populations in practical production. However, this elusive behavior is not yet fully understood. Investigating whether the opsin genes play a crucial role in phototaxis is an intriguing topic. Vespinae (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) are a common group of social wasps that are closely associated with human activities. Efficiently controlling wasp populations while maintaining ecological balance is a pressing global challenge that still has to be resolved. This research aims to explore the phototactic behavior and key opsin genes associated with Vespinae. We found significant differences in the photophilic rates of Vespula germanica and Vespa analis under 14 different light conditions, indicating that their phototactic behavior is rhythmic. The results also showed that the two species exhibited varying photophilic rates under different wavelengths of light, suggesting that light wavelength significantly affects their phototactic behavior. Additionally, the opsin genes of the most aggressive hornet, Vespa basalis, have been sequenced. There are only two opsin genes, one for UV light and the other for blue light, and Vespa basalis lacks long-wavelength visual proteins. However, they exhibit peak phototaxis for long-wavelength light and instead have the lowest phototaxis for UV light. This suggests that the visual protein genes have a complex regulatory mechanism for phototactic behavior in Vespinae. Additionally, visual protein sequences have a high degree of homology among Hymenoptera. Despite the hypotheses put forward by some scholars regarding phototaxis, a clear and complete explanation of insect phototaxis is still lacking to date. Our findings provide a strong theoretical basis for further investigation of visual expression patterns and phototactic mechanisms in Vespinae.

BACKGROUND: Amidst the rise of frailty among a globally aging population, olfactory decline has emerged as a harbinger of frailty and mortality in population-level studies. However, the relationships between frailty and the olfactory subdomains of identification (OI), discrimination (OD), and threshold (OT) remain unexplored. This study prospectively examined the association between olfactory subdomains and the physical frailty phenotype (PFP) to investigate olfactory evaluation as a means of frailty screening. METHODS: A case‒control study of 45 frail and 45 non-frail individuals matched by age and sex. OT, OD, OI (range 0‒16), and composite sum (threshold, discrimination, and identification scores [TDI], range 0‒48) were measured with Sniffin' Sticks. PFP was defined by presence of three or more criteria: physical inactivity, self-reported exhaustion, muscle weakness, slow gait, and unintentional weight loss. Conditional logistic regression evaluated associations between olfactory subdomains and frailty. RESULTS: Ninety individuals with mean age of 83.1 ± 4.9 years, 60% female (n = 54), and 87.8% white (n = 79) were included. Olfactory scores were significantly lower in the frail group for OI (9.2 vs. 12.1, p < 0.001), OD (8.1 vs. 11.6, p < 0.001), OT (4.4 vs. 8.5, p < 0.001), and TDI (21.7 vs. 32.2, p < 0.001) than in the non-frail group. A single-point decrease in olfactory score was associated with increased odds of frailty in OT (odds ratio [OR]: 2.21, 95% confidence interval: [1.22, 3.98]), OD (OR: 2.19, 95% CI: [1.32, 3.65]), OI (OR: 2.29, 95% CI: [1.19, 4.39]), and TDI (OR: 1.54, 95% CI: [1.14, 2.08]). CONCLUSION: The robust association between olfactory subdomain scores and frailty suggests that olfaction may be an accessible signifier of frailty. Future studies should investigate this relationship longitudinally to assess predictive relationships.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) have received considerable potential for their affordability and high reliability. Among potential cathodes, α-MoO3 stands out due to its layered structure aligned with the (010) plane, offering extensive ionic insertion channels for enhanced charge storage. However, its limited electrochemical activity and poor Zn2+ transport kinetics present significant challenges for its deployment in energy storage devices. To overcome these limitations, we introduce a new strategy by doping α-MoO3 with Ni (Ni-MoO3), tuning the electron spin states of Mo. Thus modification can activate the reactivity of Ni-MoO3 towards Zn2+ storage and weaken the interaction between Ni-MoO3 and intercalated Zn2+, thereby accelerating the Zn2+ transport and storage. Consequently, the electrochemical properties of Ni-MoO3 significantly surpass those of pure MoO3, demonstrating a specific capacity of 258 mAh g-1 at 1 A g-1 and outstanding rate performance (120 mAh g-1 at 10 A g-1). After 1000 cycles at 8 A g-1, it retains 76 % of the initial capacity, with an energy density of 154.4 Wh kg-1 and a power density of 11.2 kW kg-1. This work proves that the modulation of electron spin states in cathode materials via metal ion doping can effectively boost their capacity and cycling durability.

The spectral emission of laser-induced plasma in water has a broadband continuum containing ultraviolet light, which can be used as a novel light source for the degradation of organic compounds. We studied the degradation process of the organic dye Rhodamine B (RhB) using plasma light source excited by the "Laser + Fe" mode. Spectral analysis and reaction kinetics modelling were used to study the degradation mechanism. The degradation process using this light source could be divided into two stages. The initial stage was mainly photocatalytic degradation, where ultraviolet light broke the chemical bond of RhB, and then RhB was degraded by the strong oxidising ability of ·OH. As the iron and hydrogen ion concentrations increased, the synergistic effect of photocatalysis and the Fenton reaction further enhanced the degradation rate in the later stage. The plasma excited by the "Laser + Fe" mode achieved photodegradation by effectively enhancing the ultraviolet wavelength ratio of the emission spectrum and triggered the Fenton reaction to achieve rapid organic matter degradation. Our findings indicate that the participation of the Fenton reaction can increase the degradation rate by approximately 10 times. Besides, the impact of pH on degradation efficiency demonstrates that both acidic and alkaline environments have better degradation effects than neutral conditions; this is because acidic environments can enhance the Fenton reaction, while alkaline environments can provide more ·OH.

Purpose: Few studies have reported the integrated characteristics of hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after long-term antiviral therapy. This study aimed to investigate the HBV integration features in HBV-HCC patients who had undergone long-term antiviral therapy, evaluate their impact on clinical indicators, and analyze the potential mechanisms involved. Patients and Methods: We utilized genome-wide association study (GWAS) to analyze liver cancer tissues and detect the presence of HBV integration. Seventeen patients with HBV integration were included in the integration (Int) group, while the remaining five patients were included in the non-integration (N-int) group. Clinical indicators were regularly monitored and compared between the two groups. The characteristics of HBV integration patterns were analyzed, and differences between the groups were explored at the chromosome and genomic levels. Results: After long-term antiviral therapy, although the frequency of HBV integration in HBV-HCC was reduced, residual HBV integration still accelerated the development of HCC. It affected the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of patients. HBV integration events led to changes in chromosome structure, which were closely related to HCC. Novel fusion genes were detected at a high frequency and had the potential to be specific detection sites for HBV-HCC. Conclusion: HBV integration events are synergistically involved in the human genome and HBV, which can lead to chromosome structural instability, gene rearrangement events closely related to HCC production, and the formation of new specific fusion genes.

PURPOSE: The study intends to clarify the optimal endoscopic endonasal surgical strategy for symptomatic Rathke's cleft cysts (RCCs). METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed patients with RCCs that underwent EEA surgery. The strategy for surgical and reconstruction method selection was presented. Patients were split into groups of fenestration open or closed. Pre- and postoperative symptoms, imaging, ophthalmologic, and endocrinologic exams were reviewed. The incidence of complications and the recurrence rates were determined. RESULTS: The 75 individuals were all received primary operations. The fenestration closed group contained 32 cases, while the fenestration open group contained 43 cases. The median follow-up period was 39 months. The three primary complaints were headache (n = 51, 68.00%), vision impairment (n = 45, 60.00%), and pituitary dysfunction (n = 16, 21.33%). Of the 51 patients with preoperative headaches, 48 (94.12%) reported improvement in their symptoms following surgery. Twenty-three out of 45 patients (51.11%) experienced an improvement in visual impairment. Pituitary dysfunction was found improved in 14 out of 16 individuals (87.50%). There was no discernible difference in the rate of symptom alleviation between both groups. There were three patients (3/75, 4.00%) had cyst reaccumulation. One of them (1/75, 1.33%), which needed reoperation, was healed using pterional approach. In term of complications, cerebral infections occurred in two patients (2/75, 2.67%). Both of them recovered after antibiotic treatment. No postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea occurred. One patient (1/75, 1.33%) in the open group experienced epistaxis. There was no persistent hypopituitarism or diabetes insipidus (DI). Analysis of headache related factors showed that the presence of wax like nodules was related to it. CONCLUSION: RCC was successfully treated with endoscopic endonasal surgery with few problems when the fenestration was kept as open as feasible. Preoperative identification of T2WI hypointense nodules may be a potential reference factor for surgical indication.

RESUMEN

An iron-catalyzed ligand free conjugate reduction of α,ß-unsaturated ketones with PMHS (polymethylhydrosiloxane) was reported to deliver the corresponding carbonyl compounds with up to 93% yield. This operationally simple protocol shows a broad substrate scope using readily available PMHS as a cost-effective and easy-to-handle reductive reagent.

BACKGROUND: The safety of medication use among older adults is a growing concern, given the aging population. Despite widespread attention, the exploration of medication literacy in older adults, particularly from the perspective of information literacy, is in its nascent stages. METHODS: This study utilized the existing literature to define medication information literacy (MIL) as a theoretical framework. A two-round Delphi survey was conducted to identify the essential components of a MIL indicator system for older adults. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was then used to assign weights to each indicator. RESULTS: The study observed relatively high response rates in both rounds of the questionnaire, which, along with expert authority coefficients (Cr) of 0.86 and 0.89, underscores the credibility and expertise of the panellists. Additionally, Kendall's coefficient of concordance (Kendall's W) ranging from 0.157 to 0.33 (p < 0.05) indicates a consensus among experts on the identified indicators. Utilizing the Delphi process, a MIL indicator system for older adults was developed, comprising five primary and 23 secondary indicators. These indicators were weighted, with medication information cognition and acquisition emerging as pivotal factors in enhancing medication literacy among older adults. CONCLUSIONS: This study developed a MIL indicator system tailored for older adults using the Delphi approach. The findings can inform healthcare professionals in providing customized medication guidance and assist policymakers in crafting policies to enhance medication safety among older adults. PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION: Patient and public engagement played a pivotal role in the development of our medication information literacy indicator system for older adults. Their involvement contributed to shaping research questions, facilitating study participation, and enriching evidence interpretation. Collaborations with experts in geriatric nursing, medicine, and public health, along with discussions with caregivers and individuals with lived experience, provided invaluable insights into medication management among older adults. Their input guided our research direction and ensured the relevance and comprehensiveness of our findings.

The combination of aerated flows and a high-pressure environment in a stilling basin can result in the supersaturation of total dissolved gas (TDG) downstream of hydraulic projects, posing an ecological risk to aquatic populations by inducing gas bubble disease (GBD) or other negative effects. There is limited literature reporting TDG mass transfer experiments on a complete physical dam model; most existing research is based on measurements in prototype tailwaters. In this study, TDG mass transfer experiments were conducted on a physical model of an under-constructed dam, with TDG-supersaturated water as the inflow, and TDG concentrations were meticulously monitored within the stilling basin. The measurements indicate that the TDG saturation at the outlet of the stilling basin decreased by 13.7% and 10.6% compared to the inlet for the two cases, respectively. Subsequently, an improved TDG prediction model was developed by incorporating a sub-grid air entrainment model and a phase-constrained scalar model. The numerical simulation results were compared with experimental data, indicating a maximum error in TDG saturation at all measured points of less than ± 3%. Moreover, the TDG saturation showed an error of only ± 0.3% at the outlet of the stilling basin. This model has broad applicability to various flow types for obtaining TDG mass transfer results and evaluating mitigation measures of TDG supersaturation to reduce the harmful effects on aquatic ecosystems.
