RESUMEN

The widespread use of non-ionic surfactant nonylphenol (NP) has led to significant water pollution, posing a threat to both ecological stability and human health. However, the efficient biodegradation method and system of NP-biodegradation remain complex scientific challenges. In this study, we isolated and characterized three Pseudomonas sp. strains SW-1 (Scenedesmus quadricauda-associated), ZL-2 (Ankistrodesmus acicularis-associated), XQ-3 (Chlorella vulgaris-associated), and one NP-degrading Cupriavidus sp. strain EB-4, which exhibited the ability to utilize NP as the sole carbon source. Furthermore, four consortiums of microalgae-bacterial, S. quadricauda and SW-1 (S-SW), A. acicularis and ZL-2 (A-ZL), C. vulgaris and XQ-3 (C-XQ), S. quadricauda and EB-4 (S-EB), were constructed to investigate their biodegradability and kinetic characteristics of NP degradation from water. The consortiums showed higher degradation efficiency compared to individual microalgae or bacteria. The C-XQ consortium exhibited the highest degradation rate, removing over 94% of NP within just seven days. The first-order model with the following order of degradation rate by consortiums was C-XQ (0.3960 d-1) > S-SW (0.3506 d-1) > A-ZL (0.1968 d-1) > S-EB (0.1776 d-1). Compared with the results of our previous study, the interaction between microalgae and bacteria is not a simple additive relationship. Our findings highlight the potential of an algal-bacterial consortium for the remediation of NP-contaminated environments.

RESUMEN

Acinetobacter baumannii poses a serious threat to human health. Pathogenic bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) are potent immunogens for the development of antibacterial vaccines. To investigate the antigenic properties of A. baumannii LPS, five well-defined core oligosaccharide fragments from the LPS of A. baumannii SMAL and ATCC 19606 were synthesized. A divergent synthesis strategy based on orthogonally protected α-(2 → 5)-linked Kdo dimer 6 was developed. Selective exposure of different positions in this key precursor and then elongation of sugar chains via stereocontrolled formation of both 1,2-trans and 1,2-cis-2-aminoglycosidic linkages permitted the efficient synthesis of the targets. The synthetic route also highlights a 4-O and then 7-O glycosylation sequence for assembly of the novel 4,7-branched Kdo framework. Antigenicity assay using the glycan microarray technique disclosed that tetrasaccharide 3 featuring both 4,7-branch and α-(2 → 5)-Kdo-Kdo structural elements was a potential antigenic determinant.

RESUMEN

The preparation processes of iron-based organic framework(FeMOF) MIL-100(Fe) and MIL-101(Fe) with two different ligands were optimized and screened, and the optimized FeMOF was loaded with piperlongumine(PL) to enhance the biocompatibility and antitumor efficacy of PL. The MIL-100(Fe) and MIL-101(Fe) were prepared by solvent thermal method using the optimized reaction solvent. With particle size, polymer dispersity index(PDI), and yield as indexes, the optimal preparation processes of the two were obtained by using the definitive screening design(DSD) experiment and establishing a mathematical model, combined with the Derringer expectation function. After characterization, the best FeMOF was selected to load PL by solvent diffusion method, and the process of loading PL was optimized by a single factor combined with an orthogonal experiment. The CCK-8 method was used to preliminarily evaluate the biological safety of blank FeMOF and the antitumor effect of the drug-loaded nano preparations. The experimental results showed that the optimal preparation process of MIL-100(Fe) was as follows: temperature at 127.8 ℃, reaction time of 14.796 h, total solvent volume of 11.157 mL, and feed ratio of 1.365. The particle size of obtained MIL-100(Fe) nanoparticles was(108.84±2.79)nm; PDI was 0.100±0.023, and yield was 36.93%±0.79%. The optimal preparation process of MIL-101(Fe) was as follows: temperature at 128.1 ℃, reaction time of 6 h, total solvent volume of 10.005 mL, and feed ratio of 0.500. The particle size of obtained MIL-101(Fe) nanoparticles was(254.04±22.03)nm; PDI was 0.289±0.052, and yield was 44.95%±0.45%. The optimal loading process of MIL-100(Fe) loaded with PL was as follows: the feed ratio of MIL-100(Fe) to PL was 1∶2; the concentration of PL solution was 7 mg·mL~(-1), and the ratio of DMF to water was 1∶5. The drug loading capacity of obtained MIL-100(Fe)/PL nanoparticles was 68.86%±1.82%; MIL-100(Fe) was nontoxic to HepG2 cells at a dose of 0-120 µg·mL~(-1), and the half-inhibitory concentration(IC_(50)) of free PL for 24 h treatment of HepG2 cells was 1.542 µg·mL~(-1). The IC_(50) value of MIL-100(Fe)/PL was 1.092 µg·mL~(-1)(measured by PL). In this study, the optimal synthesis process of MIL-100(Fe) and MIL-101(Fe) was optimized by innovatively using the DSD to construct a mathematical model combined with the Derringer expectation function. The optimized preparation process of MIL-100(Fe) nanoparticles and the PL loading process were stable and feasible. The size and shape of MIL-100(Fe) particles were uniform, and the crystal shape was good, with a high drug loading capacity, which could significantly enhance the antitumor effect of PL. This study provides a new method for the optimization of the nano preparation process and lays a foundation for the further development and research of antitumor nano preparations of PL.

RESUMEN

Oral mucosal lesions (OML), which represent a major public health issue worldwide, include any pathological changes in the oral mucosa, such as ulcers, pigmentation, and swelling. Due to its humid and dynamic complex environment, designing oral mucosal preparations poses significant challenges. Drawing inspiration from mussels, this study employed an eco-friendly one-pot strategy for the preparation of chitosan/polydopamine (CS/PDA) films. We demonstrated that CS-induced polymerization of dopamine monomers under acidic conditions, which might be attributed to the large number of hydrogen bonding sites of CS chains. PDA markedly enhances properties of the CS film and exhibits concentration dependence. At the concentration of 1 wt% PDA, the lap-shear strength and tensile strength of CS/PDA films reached 5.01 ± 0.24 kpa and 4.20 ± 0.78 kpa, respectively, indicating that the mucosal adhesion ability was significantly improved. In comparison with the single CS film, the swelling rate of CS/PDA film decreased by about 30 %. Rheological results also showed that the storage modulus returned to 93 % after cyclic large strain, while the single CS film only recovered to 73 %. Moreover, these films demonstrated good biocompatibility and enhanced oral ulcer healing in rats, providing a new and practical option for the local treatment of OML.

RESUMEN

Design of hypotoxic lead-free perovskites, e.g. Bismuth(Bi)-based perovskites, is much beneficial for commercialization of perovskite X-ray detectors due to their strong radiation absorption. Nevertheless, the design principles governing the selection of A-site cations for achieving high-performance X-ray detectors remain elusive. Here, seven molecules (methylamine MA, amine NH3, dimethylbiguanide DGA, phenylethylamine PEA, 4-fluorophenethylamine p-FPEA, 1,3-propanediamine PDA, and 1,4-butanediamine BDA) and calculated their dipole moments and interaction strength with metal halide (BiI3) are selected. The first-principles calculations and related spectroscopy measurements confirm that organic molecules (DGA) with large dipole moments can have strong interactions with perovskite octahedron and improve the carrier transport between the organic and inorganic clusters. Consequently, zero-dimensional single crystal (SC) (DGA)BiI5∙H2O is synthesized. The (DGA)BiI5∙H2O SCs demonstrate an exceptional carrier mobility-lifetime product of 6.55 × 10-3 cm2 V-1, resulting in the high sensitivity of 5879.4 µCGyair -1cm-2, featuring a low detection limit (4.7 nGyair s-1) and remarkable X-ray irradiation stability even after 100 days of aging at a high electric field (100 V mm-1). Furthermore, the (DGA)BiI5∙H2O SCs for imaging, achieving a notable spatial resolution of 5.5 lp mm-1 are applied. This investigation establishes a pathway for systematically screening A-site cations to design low-dimensional SCs for high-performance X-ray detection.

RESUMEN

Phase control over cation exchange (CE) reactions has emerged as an important approach for the synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs). Although factors such as crystal structure and morphology have been studied for the phase engineering of CE reactions in NMs, there remains a lack of systematic investigation to reveal the impact factors in heterogeneous materials. Herein, we report a molybdenum disulfide induced phase control method for synthesizing multidimensional Co3S4-MoS2 heteronanostructures (HNs) via cation exchange. MoS2 in parent Cu1.94S-MoS2 HNs are proved to affect the thermodynamics and kinetics of CE reactions, and facilitate the formation of Co3S4-MoS2 HNs with controlled phase. This MoS2 induced phase control method can be extended to other parent HNs with multiple dimensions, which shows its universality. Further, theoretical calculations demonstrate that Co3S4 (111)/MoS2 (001) exhibits a higher adhesion work, providing further evidence that MoS2 enables phase control in the HNs CE reactions, inducing the generation of novel Co3S4-MoS2 HNs. As a proof-of-concept application, the obtained Co3S4-MoS2 heteronanoplates (HNPls) show remarkable performance in hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) under alkaline media. This synthetic methodology provides a unique way to control the crystal structure and fills the gap in the study of heterogeneous materials on CE reaction over phase engineering.

RESUMEN

High-temperature ultrasonic transducer (HTUT) is essential for non-destructive testing (NDT) in harsh environments. In this paper, a HTUT based on BiScO3-PbTiO3 (BS-PT) piezoelectric ceramics was developed, and the effect of different backing layers on its bandwidth were analyzed. The HTUT demonstrates a broad bandwidth and excellent thermal stability with operation temperature up to 400 °C. By using a 10 mm thick porous alumina backing layer, the HTUT achieves a broad -6 dB bandwidth of 100 %, which is about 4 times superior to the transducer with an air backing layer. The center frequency (fc) of the HTUT remains stable with fluctuations of less than 10 % across the temperature range from room temperature to 400 °C. The HTUT successfully detected simulated defects in pulse-echo mode for NDT over 200 °C. This research not only advances high-temperature ultrasonic transducer technology but also expands the NDT applications in harsh environmental conditions.

RESUMEN

Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG)-based optical fiber is one of the research hotspots in the field of fiber lasers due to its combined advantages of a wide doping range of rare earth ions and the high mechanical strength of YAG material, as well as the flexibility and small size of the fiber structure. YAG-based optical fibers and related laser devices can be used in communication, sensing, medicine, etc. A comprehensive review of YAG-based optical fibers is provided in this paper. Firstly, the fabrication processes of YAG-based optical fibers are summarized and the structure and properties of fibers are classified and compared. Secondly, according to the optical wavelength regions, rare earth-doped YAG-based optical fibers for the applications of single-frequency and mode-locked fiber lasers are summarized. Lastly, the development challenges in both the fabrication and applications of YAG-based optical fibers are discussed.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Understanding undergraduates' dietary literacy, including dietary knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP), is important for future health promotion policies. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the current status and influencing factors of dietary literacy in Chinese college undergraduates and explore whether a nutritional lecture could improve their dietary literacy. METHODS: This study included two parts: a cross-sectional study (n = 1026) conducted by a dietary literacy questionnaire, and a randomized controlled trail (RCT) that enrolled 99 college undergraduates who were randomized to a control group or a nutritional lecture group. Data from the questionnaire and 72 h food records were obtained on day 0, day 3 and day 100 before and after intervention. RESULTS: This cross-sectional study showed that the mean scores of dietary KAP were respectively 100.0 (33.3), 59.1 (13.6) and 71.7 (11.7), with an excellent rate of 36.6%, 1.9% and 3.4%. Female upper-grade undergraduates and those with medicine-related majors illustrated higher dietary knowledge scores (p < 0.001). Dietary attitude rather than dietary knowledge had a significant impact on dietary practice (p < 0.001). This finding was in line with the results in the RCT study. Compared with the control group, dietary knowledge was significantly improved in the nutritional lecture group on both day 3 (p = 0.002) and day 100 (p = 0.023) after intervention. However, dietary behavior was improved only on day 3 post nutritional lecture (p = 0.029) but decreased to the original level 100 days later (p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: This study discovered the unsatisfying status and discrepancy between dietary literacy among college undergraduates of different sex, majors and college years. Dietary attitude instead of dietary knowledge was discovered as a determining role in dietary practice. One nutritional lecture could improve undergraduates' dietary literacy but the effect was not long-lasting. Further studies with more reinforced and durable interventions are warranted.

RESUMEN

Background: Mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sezary Syndrome (SS) comprise over half of all Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma diagnoses. Current risk stratification is largely based on TNMB staging, few research investigated the prognostic value of clinical exams. Current systemic therapy for advanced disease includes immunomodulatory drugs, chemotherapy, and HADC inhibitors. Few clinical trials or retrospective research compared the efficacy of different drugs.Method: Here, we performed a retrospective analysis of prognostic factors and treatment outcomes of 92 patients diagnosed with MF/SS at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2013-2023.Results: Cox regression analysis identified that age ≥ 50 years, WBC ≥ 8 × 109/L, serum LDH ≥ 250U/L, ß2-MG ≥ 4.50 mg/L, and stage IV were associated with reduced overall survival, age ≥ 50 years, serum LDH ≥ 250U/L and stage IV were associated with reduced progression free survival. Kaplan-Meier analysis established that immunomodulatory therapy was associated with longer progression free survival. Conclusion: These results suggested new factors in predicting prognosis and selecting appropriate treatments in patients with advanced MF/SS.

RESUMEN

Deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) are a large group of proteases that reverse ubiquitination process and maintain protein homeostasis. The DUBs have been classified into seven subfamilies according to their primary sequence and structural similarity. As a small subfamily of DUBs, the ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolases (UCHs) subfamily only contains four members including UCHL1, UCHL3, UCHL5, and BRCA1-associated protein-1 (BAP1). Despite sharing the deubiquitinase activity with a similar catalysis mechanism, the UCHs exhibit distinctive biological functions which are mainly determined by their specific subcellular localization and partner substrates. Besides, growing evidence indicates that the UCH enzymes are involved in human malignancies. In this review, the structural information and biological functions of the UCHs are briefly described. Meanwhile, the roles of these enzymes in tumorigenesis and the discovered inhibitors against them are also summarized to give an insight into the cancer therapy with the potential alternative strategy.

RESUMEN

Tow-dimensional (2D) perovskites have invoked extensive interest because of their good stability and intriguing optoelectronic properties. However, in practical applications, the hampered carrier transportation imposed by the vertical array of large dielectric organic cations and the generally seen Fermi level pinning (FLP) effect in conventional metal-2D semiconductors need to be solved urgently. Sb3+/Bi3+-based inorganic lead-free 2D Cs3(M3+)2X9 perovskites (M = Sb3+, Bi3+; X = Cl-, Br-, I-) are promising candidates to replace the toxic 2D hLHP. The contact properties of Cs3Sb2Cl9 with 2D metals are studied in this work to achieve tunable Schottky barrier heights (SBH). Density functional theory calculations reveal a weak FLP factor of 0.91 in the studied junctions, which is beneficial for improving the carrier injection efficiency through electrode design. Calculations of tunneling properties indicate that a Cd3C2 electrode tends to achieve low SBH and high tunneling probability, while a VS2 (H) electrode tends to realize high SBH and low tunneling probability, suggesting that diverse applications of Cs3Sb2Cl9 can be achieved through electrode engineering.

RESUMEN

Cetaceans play a pivotal role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of ocean ecosystems. However, their populations are under global threat from environmental contaminants. Various high levels of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) have been detected in cetaceans from the South China Sea, such as the Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins in the Pearl River Estuary (PRE), suggesting potential health risks, while the impacts of endocrine disruptors on the dolphin population remain unclear. This study aims to synthesize the population dynamics of the humpback dolphins in the PRE and their profiles of EDC contaminants from 2005 to 2019, investigating the potential role of EDCs in the population dynamics of humpback dolphins. Our comprehensive analysis indicates a sustained decline in the PRE humpback dolphin population, posing a significant risk of extinction. Variations in sex hormones induced by EDC exposure could potentially impact birth rates, further contributing to the population decline. Anthropogenic activities consistently emerge as the most significant stressor, ranking highest in importance. Conventional EDCs demonstrate more pronounced impacts on the population compared to emerging compounds. Among the conventional pollutants, DDTs take precedence, followed by zinc and chromium. The most impactful emerging EDCs are identified as alkylphenols. Notably, as the profile of EDCs changes, the significance of conventional pollutants may give way to emerging EDCs, presenting a continued challenge to the viability of the humpback dolphin population.

RESUMEN

According to the Standard of Chinese Medicinal Materials of Shaanxi Province (2015 edition), Salvia miltiorrhiza caulis et folium is the dried stems and leaves of Salvia miltiorrhiza, which could activate blood and dispell blood stasis, clear the mind and remove annoyance. In this study, the dynamic absorption changes of phenolic acids (FS) and phenolic acids-flavonoids (FT) in rats after oral administration were studied by UPLC-TQ/MS/MS, to elucidate the pharmacokinetics of seven major bioactive components of the stem-leaf of Salvia miltiorrhiza in vivo. The results showed that the pharmacokinetic parameters of FS and FT were significantly different in normal rats and model rats. Compared with the control group, after injecting 10 % polymer dextran 500 into the tail vein to establish a model of microcirculation disturbance, the Cmax of caffeic acid decreased. The Cmax of rosmarinic acid and lithospermic acid increased. Danshensu showed a decrease in CLz/F, accompanied by an increase in both AUC0-t and AUC0-∞. The AUC0-t of lithospermic acid was also increased. These results indicated that microcirculation disturbance could decrease the absorption of caffeic acid while increasing the absorption of danshensu, rosmarinic acid and lithospermic acid. After oral administration of FT, the Cmax of danshensu and the AUC0-t of caffeic acid were increased significantly, suggesting that the presence of flavonoids may promote the absorption and exposure of phenolic acids in vivo. This study provides a reference for the elucidation of the in vivo substances and the mechanisms of action of FS and FT from the stem-leaf of Salvia miltiorrhiza.

RESUMEN

The use of healthcare products containing triclosan has surged globally due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, we used a global spatially explicit model to simulate triclosan export by rivers to coastal seas in the post-COVID-19 era. The global triclosan model shows that the primary watersheds of triclosan export in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, United States, Brazil, India, and China, with river mouths presenting higher ecological risk distributed in Europe, South Asia, and America. It is estimated that triclosan concentrations in more than 77 % of global watersheds will be below the toxicity threshold by 2030 if the per capita use of triclosan is halved. Rather than completely restricting the use of triclosan, we should focus on integrating the effectiveness data of triclosan to develop recommendations for essential usage, substitutes, and wastewater treatment plants that minimize triclosan pollution in the post-COVID-19 era.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Plastic bronchitis (PB) can occur in patients who have undergone congenital heart surgery (CHS). This study aimed to investigate the clinical features of PB in children after CHS. METHODS: We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the electronic medical record system. The study population consisted of children diagnosed with PB after bronchoscopy in the cardiac intensive care unit after CHS from May 2016 to October 2021. RESULTS: A total of 68 children after CHS were finally included in the study (32 in the airway abnormalities group and 36 in the right ventricular dysfunction group). All children were examined and treated with fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Pathogens were detected in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of 41 children, including 32 cases in the airway abnormalities group and 9 cases in the right ventricular dysfunction group. All patients were treated with antibiotics, corticosteroids (intravenous or oral), and budesonide inhalation suspension. Children with right ventricular dysfunction underwent pharmacological treatment such as reducing pulmonary arterial pressure. Clinical symptoms improved in 64 children, two of whom were treated with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) due to recurrent PB and disease progression. CONCLUSIONS: Children with airway abnormalities or right ventricular dysfunction after CHS should be alerted to the development of PB. Pharmacological treatment such as anti-infection, corticosteroids, or improvement of right ventricular function is the basis of PB treatment, while fiberoptic bronchoscopy is an essential tool for the diagnosis and treatment of PB. ECMO assistance is a vital salvage treatment for recurrent critically ill PB patients.

RESUMEN

Fruit spoilage can cause huge economic losses, in which fungal infection is one of the main influencing factors, how to effectively control mould and spoilage of fruits and prolong their shelf-life has become a primary issue in the development of fruit and vegetable industry. In this study, rosin derivative maleopimaric anhydride (MPA) was combined with biodegradable and antifungal chitosan (CS) to enhance its antifungal and preservative properties. The modified compounds were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR spectra and XRD, and the in vitro antifungal properties of the modified compounds were evaluated by the radial growth assay and the minimal inhibitory concentration assay. The preservation effect on small mandarin oranges and longan was studied. The analysis revealed that the modification product (CSMA) of MPA access to C6-OH of CS had a better antifungal effect. In addition, CSMA was more environmentally friendly and healthier than the commercially available chemical preservative (Imazalil), and had the same antifungal preservative effect in preserving small mandarin orange, and was able to extend the shelf life to >24 d. In the preservation of longan, CSMA was more effective against tissue water loss and was able to maintain the moisture in the longan pulp and extend the shelf life. Therefore, CSMA has good application potentials in longan keeping-fresh.

RESUMEN

Recent evidence has demonstrated that the transsynaptic nanoscale organization of synaptic proteins plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic strength in excitatory synapses. However, the molecular mechanism underlying this transsynaptic nanostructure in inhibitory synapses still remains unclear and its impact on synapse function in physiological or pathological contexts has not been demonstrated. In this study, we utilized an engineered proteolysis technique to investigate the effects of acute cleavage of neuroligin-2 (NL2) on synaptic transmission. Our results show that the rapid cleavage of NL2 led to impaired synaptic transmission by reducing both neurotransmitter release probability and quantum size. These changes were attributed to the dispersion of RIM1/2 and GABAA receptors and a weakened spatial alignment between them at the subsynaptic scale, as observed through superresolution imaging and model simulations. Importantly, we found that endogenous NL2 undergoes rapid MMP9-dependent cleavage during epileptic activities, which further exacerbates the decrease in inhibitory transmission. Overall, our study demonstrates the significant impact of nanoscale structural reorganization on inhibitory transmission and unveils ongoing modulation of mature GABAergic synapses through active cleavage of NL2 in response to hyperactivity.

RESUMEN

Second harmonic generation plays a vital role in frequency conversion which mutually promotes the laser technology and allows the wavebands extension of new coherent source. The monolithic crystals are supposed to be a superior choice for harmonic generation due to long interaction distance, however, the phase-mismatch brought a sharp reduction in the conversion efficiency. Although birefringent phase-matching and quasi-phase-matching techniques are commonly utilized to fill the phase gap in monolithic crystals, these techniques are limited by the natural refractive index of crystal and the domain engineering, respectively. In recent years, subwavelength structures evolve as a flexible scheme to realize phase matching by engineering the geometry features of crystals. Here, structured nanogratings are designed and fabricated on a monolithic PMN-39PT (Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.39PbTiO3) substrate, a novel ferroelectric crystal with promising optical prospect, for enhancing second harmonic generation, where birefringent or quasi phase-matching is hard to achieve. The nanograting-assisted second harmonic generation enhancement is observed which is not limited by the availability of thin crystalline films. Meanwhile, a boost in the second harmonic signal synchronously promotes the cascading third harmonic generation. This method may provide an alternative solution for enhanced harmonic generation on monolithic substrates and develop potential nonlinear optical materials for frequency conversion.

RESUMEN

The pathogenesis and progression of follicular lymphoma (FL) depends on immune evasion mechanisms. The gut microbiota has been reported to be associated with the development and outcome of several human diseases by modulating host immunity. Thus, the present study investigated the characteristics and prognostic value of the gut microbiota in FL. Fecal samples from treatment-naïve patients with FL (n=28) and healthy controls (n=18) were prospectively collected. The gut microbiota diversity and composition were examined by 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing. The results demonstrated that patients with FL had distinct microbiota compositions. The relative abundance of the Ruminococcaceae family was significantly increased in patients with FL (P=0.01). Furthermore, a high level of Ruminococcus was identified as a strong indicator of tumor burden (P=0.001), and was related to the FL International Prognostic Index score and serum lactate dehydrogenase levels. The present results indicated an association between the gut microbiota and FL prognosis. Findings from the present study may provide a rational foundation for further investigation of the role of gut microbiota in lymphoma management.
