RESUMO
We report a case of fibromyalgia occurring after hypophysectomy for Cushing's disease. Clinical examination revealed tender points at 12 of the 18 tender point sites described in the American College of Rheumatology 1990 criteria for the classification of fibromyalgia. The cause of fibromyalgia remains unknown. In our patient, hypophysectomy may have played a role by disturbing endorphin secretion and pain modulation.

The authors report a case of Menetrier's disease revealed in a 51 years woman before oedomas by systematic gastroscopy. Somes particularities of this case authorize to argue problems put by this disease: a thyroid nodule treated by L + triodothyronin; an eosinophilia; a biological study of gastric secretion, gastrin and intrinsec factor level; an hormonal, immunologic and genetic exploration; an histochimic and ultra-structural study of operative portion; its favorable evolution after total gastrectomy.

The authors explored 48 patients with various forms of inflammatory rheumatism and 8 controls. The exploration consisted of seeking in the synovial membrane ferric pigments by Perls stain, or studying the movements of Fe 59 bound to siderophyllin in the joints. Intra-articular iron deposits were thus demonstrated only in the inflammatory cases. Its mechanism is discussed. It seems sufficient to be the cause of rheumatic anemia which is thus different from other forms of inflammatory anemia owing to the importance of the iron uptake.

The authors report two cases and consider the various physiopathological mechanisms of inappropriate hypersecretion of antidiuretic hormone. An exploration including clearance of free water and, in some cases, estimation of ADH before and after a water load, then before and after administration of ethyl alcohol, permits one to determine the mechanism. It seems advisable to reserve the term Schwartz-Bartter syndrome to paraneoplasic syndromes linked to ectopic and autonomous secretion of ADH.
