Using 7.33 fb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collision data collected by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies in the range of sqrt[s]=4.128-4.226 GeV, we search for the rare decays D_{s}^{+}âh^{+}(h^{0})e^{+}e^{-}, where h represents a kaon or pion. By requiring the e^{+}e^{-} invariant mass to be consistent with a Ï(1020), 0.98

Graph-based methods have demonstrated exceptional performance in semi-supervised classification. However, existing graph-based methods typically construct either a predefined graph in the original space or an adaptive graph within the output space, which often limits their ability to fully utilize prior information and capture the optimal intrinsic data distribution, particularly in high-dimensional data with abundant redundant and noisy features. This paper introduces a novel approach: Semi-Supervised Classification with Optimized Graph Construction (SSC-OGC). SSC-OGC leverages both predefined and adaptive graphs to explore intrinsic data distribution and effectively employ prior information. Additionally, a graph constraint regularization term (GCR) and a collaborative constraint regularization term (CCR) are incorporated to further enhance the quality of the adaptive graph structure and the learned subspace, respectively. To eliminate the negative effect of constructing a predefined graph in the original data space, we further propose a Hybrid Subspace Ensemble-enhanced framework based on the proposed Optimized Graph Construction method (HSE-OGC). Specifically, we construct multiple hybrid subspaces, which consist of meticulously chosen features from the original data to achieve high-quality and diverse space representations. Then, HSE-OGC constructs multiple predefined graphs within hybrid subspaces and trains multiple SSC-OGC classifiers to complement each other, significantly improving the overall performance. Experimental results conducted on various high-dimensional datasets demonstrate that HSE-OGC exhibits outstanding performance.

Egg quality is a vital factor in the poultry industry. High-quality eggs not only meet consumer expectations for appearance, taste, and nutritional value but also have high marketability, profitability, and consumer satisfaction. Accordingly, we executed our research with the purpose of determining chromosomal regions and genetic markers associated with egg quality in an F2 cross-bred chicken population under tropical conditions; we determined these through a genome-wide association study and quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping. This population was created by cross-breeding the L2 line of Taiwan Country chickens, which is adapted to local conditions in Taiwan, with an experimental line (R-line) of Rhode Island Red layer chickens, which was developed by the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment. A 60 K single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping array for chickens was employed to execute the analysis. Our analysis revealed 40 QTLs associated with egg quality under tropical conditions, namely 20 QTLs with genome-wide statistical significance and 20 QTLs with chromosome-wide statistical significance. Furthermore, we identified 93 SNPs exerting discernible effects on egg quality, with 10 of these effects exhibiting genome-wide significance and 83 exhibiting potential significance. The majority of the detected QTL regions and SNPs agreed with those identified as having an association with egg quality or production traits in previous studies, thus supporting the interrelationships determined between the studied characteristics. The findings of this study enhance the understanding regarding the genetic regulation governing chicken egg quality, thereby serving as a valuable reference for future functional investigations.

OBJECTIVES: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provide essential nutrition support for low-income families. However, many eligible families do not receive or fully redeem these benefits. We aimed to understand current and former WIC and SNAP beneficiaries' perceptions of and suggestions for improving both programs. METHODS: We conducted semistructured phone interviews with caregivers of pediatric patients who were current or former WIC and SNAP beneficiaries at 2 academic pediatric primary care clinics. Interviews were recorded, transcribed, and coded by 2 independent coders using thematic analysis, resolving discrepancies by consensus. Interviews continued until data saturation was reached. RESULTS: We interviewed 40 caregivers who were predominantly Black (88%) mothers (90%), with 53% and 83% currently using WIC and SNAP, respectively. We identified 4 themes related to participation barriers: (1) limited product variety available through WIC, (2) inconvenience and stigma associated with purchasing WIC products, (3) SNAP income-based eligibility criteria, and (4) burdensome SNAP enrollment and recertification processes. We identified 3 themes related to suggestions for improvement: (a) decreasing stigma associated with participation, (b) allowing online or phone-based enrollment, and (c) improving coordination with health care systems. CONCLUSIONS: WIC and SNAP beneficiaries identified several modifiable barriers to enrollment and benefits redemption. Pediatric providers should advocate for programmatic improvements that make it easier for families to access and redeem benefits and should consider implementing innovative cross-sector interventions like medical-financial partnerships, direct WIC and SNAP referrals, and data sharing with government assistance offices.

From October 2021 to February 2023, we retrospectively analyzed the clinical and laboratory data of six patients (three male and three female, median age: 54 years, age range: 29-73 years) with mast cell leukemia (MCL) diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University (The Mastocytosis Collaborative Network of China). All patients had acute MCL, with at least one C-finding present. The main clinical presentations were hypoalbuminemia (n=4), fatigue (n=3), fever (n=2), abdominal discomfort (n=2), osteolytic lesions (n=2), dizziness (n=1), skin flushing (n=1), and weight loss (n=1). Splenomegaly and lymphadenopathy were noted in six and three patients, respectively. Six patients were strongly positive for CD117, five were positive for CD30 and CD25, and four were positive for CD2. Four patients had a normal karyotype and two patients had an abnormal karyotype. Gene mutations were detected in 4/6 cases. The median serum tryptase level was 24.9 (range: 20.1-171.9) µg/L. Two patients were treated with venetoclax and azacitidine for induction (one patient achieved partial remission by combination with afatinib, while there was no remission after combination with dasatinib in the other patient). Two patients did not achieve complete remission despite treatment with cladribine and imatinib, respectively. One patient treated with interferon combined with glucocorticoids was lost to follow-up, and one patient abandoned treatment. The follow-up time ranged from 1.1 to 21.7 months. Three patients died and two survived. Overall, MCL is a rare subtype of systemic mastocytosis with heterogeneous clinical course, and these patients have poor outcome. A better understanding of the clinical characteristics, treatment, and prognosis of MCL is urgently needed.

Objective: To investigate the perioperative safety and survival benefits of two-stage operation in the treatment of esophageal malignancies. Methods: This is a retrospective case series study. The clinical data of 70 patients who underwent two-stage operation for esophageal malignancies from January 2015 to January 2023 in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Shanghai Chest Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine were retrospectively analyzed. There were 58 males and 12 females. The age (M(IQR)) was 61 (22) years (range: 9 to 79 years), and 51.4% (36/70) of the patients were older than 65 years. All patients underwent the first operation to remove esophageal tumor and the second operation to complete digestive tract reconstruction. The reasons for two-stage operation were summarized, complications and treatment results were recorded, and the prognosis was calculated using Kaplan-Meier curve. Results: The median interval between the two stages was 49 (35) days (range: 32 to 82 days). The 30-day fatality rate after the first operation was 4.3% (3/70) and the 30-day fatality rate after the second operation was 0(0/63). The total complication rate of first operation was 55.7% (39/70), the respiratory complication rate was 10.0% (7/70) and the cardiovascular complication rate was 5.7% (4/70) The incidence of anastomotic leakage was 11.1% (9/63). The overall survival rate at 2, 3 and 5 years was 35.7%, 30.0% and 15.7%, respectively. Conclusion: Two-stage operation in the treatment of complex esophageal malignancies is feasible and yields satisfaetory results.

Broad learning system (BLS) is an effective neural network requiring no deep architecture, however it is somehow fragile to noisy data. The previous robust broad models directly map features from the raw data, which inevitably learn useless or even harmful features for data representation when the inputs are corrupted by noise and outliers. To address this concern, a discriminative and robust network named as dynamic graph regularized broad learning (DGBL) with marginal fisher representation is proposed for noisy data classification. Different from the previous works, DGBL eliminates the effect of noise before the random feature mapping by the proposed robust and dynamic marginal fisher analysis (RDMFA) algorithm. The RDMFA is able to extract more robust and informative representations for classification from the latent clean data space with dynamically generated graphs. Furthermore, the dynamic graphs learned from RDMFA are incorporated as regularization terms into the objective of DGBL to enhance the discrimination capacity of the proposed network. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments conducted on numerous benchmark datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed model compared to several state-of-the-art methods.

Intestinal tuberculosis commonly affects the ileocecal area and the terminal ileum, and is extremely rare in the rectum, with isolated rectal involvement being even rarer. This paper described a case of an isolated rectal tuberculoma in a female patient of 44 years old, Yi ethnicity, who was admitted to the hospital with abdominal distension and constipation. She had a history of hepatitis B virus infection. A colonoscopy revealed a rectal mass, and an endoscopic resection was performed. Post-operative pathological examination confirmed rectal tuberculosis, with no evidence of extra-rectal tuberculosis infection found. The final diagnosis was an isolated rectal tuberculoma. In cases where endoscopic examination suggests a rectal tumor, especially in patients with immunosuppressive conditions such as HIV or diabetes, the possibility of tuberculoma should be considered.

Objective: To investigate the pollution levels and influencing factors of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in household dust in five cities in northern China. Methods: Based on the "Chinese Indoor Environment and Health Surveillance" project carried out by the National Institute of Environmental Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2018-2019, during the warm season (April 2018 to September 2018) and the cold season (November 2018 to March 2019), Lanzhou in Northwest China, Shijiazhuang in North China, Panjin in Northeast China, Luoyang in Central China, and Qingdao in East China were selected as the research sites. A total of 87 families were recruited to study residences in real-life scenarios. At the same time, dust samples were collected to detect the concentration of PBDEs. The level of household environmental indicators was measured, and the residential building characteristics and family behavior habits were collected through questionnaires. A total of 142 valid dust samples and 140 valid questionnaires were obtained. The differences in PBDE concentrations across seasons, wind zones, residential building characteristics, and family habits were analyzed. The exploratory factor analysis was performed to investigate the possible sources of PBDEs, and multivariate linear regression was used to explore the factors influencing PBDEs in household dust. Results: The M (Q1, Q3) of total PBDE concentrations in 142 household dust samples in five cities was 144.51 (106.61, 222.65) ng/g in the warm season and 145.10 (98.57, 180.65) ng/g in the cold season, respectively. There were seasonal differences in the concentration of ∑12PBDEs in Luoyang and Shijiazhuang (P<0.01). The concentration of BDE-71 was highest among PBDE homologues, followed by BDE-66 and BDE-47. Three factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis in the warm season, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 67.90%. The multivariate linear regression showed that the house completion less than ten years [ß (95%CI): 0.186 (0.013, 0.359)], infrequent home cooking [ß (95%CI):-0.342 (-0.570, -0.114)], and increased residential PM10 concentration [ß (95%CI): 0.001 (0.000, 0.002)] during the warm season, as well as the house far from driveway [ß (95%CI): 0.093 (0.013, 0.172)], house area less than 90 m2 [ß (95%CI):-0.138 (-0.264, -0.013)], and lower residential xylene concentration [ß (95%CI):-0.006 (-0.011, -0.001)] during the cold season might be related to the elevated concentrations of ∑12PBDEs in household dust. Conclusion: The pollution of PBDEs in household dust in five northern cities is at a medium to high level. Years of house completion, frequency of cooking at home, residential PM10 concentration, distance from house to driveway, house area, and residential xylene concentration may influence household PBDE concentrations.

Importance: Childhood asthma is characterized by pervasive disparities, including 3-fold higher hospitalization rates and 7-fold higher death rates for Black children compared with White children. To address asthma disparities, one must intervene in all lived environments. Objective: To determine if a community health worker (CHW) intervention to connect the primary care, home, and school for low-income minoritized school-aged children with asthma and their caregivers improves asthma control. Design, Setting, and Participants: This study was a hybrid effectiveness/implementation trial using a 2 × 2 factorial, cluster randomized clinical trial design of 36 schools crossed with participant-level randomization into a clinic-based CHW intervention. The study was conducted from May 2018 to June 2022. The intervention took place in primary care offices, homes, and 36 West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, public and charter schools. Children aged 5 to 13 years with uncontrolled asthma were recruited from local primary care practices. Interventions: Asthma management, trigger remediation, and care coordination occurred in school, home, and primary care settings. Children were followed up for 12 months. The Yes We Can Children's Asthma Program, Open Airways For Schools Plus, and school-based asthma therapy were implemented. Main Outcomes and Measures: Improvement in asthma control, as measured by the Asthma Control Questionnaire, comparing the mean difference between groups 1 year after randomization with their baseline (difference in differences). Both primary care and school interventions were dramatically disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic; therefore, stratified analyses were performed to assess per-protocol intervention efficacy before the pandemic disruptions. Results: A total of 1875 participants were approached, 1248 were excluded, and 1 was withdrawn. The 626 analyzed study participants (mean [SD] age, 8.7 [2.4] years; 363 male [58%]) self-identified as Black race (96%) and non-Hispanic ethnicity (98%). Although all groups had statistically significant improvements in asthma control from baseline to 12 months (P- group: -0.46; 95% CI, -0.58 to -0.33; P+ group: -0.57; 95% CI, -0.74 to -0.44; S- group: -0.47; 95% CI, -0.58 to -0.35; S+ group: -0.59; 95% CI, -0.74 to -0.44), none of the difference-in-differences estimates from the primary prespecified models showed a clinically meaningful improvement in asthma control. Analysis from the prepandemic interval, however, demonstrated that children in the combined clinic-school intervention had a statistically significant improvement in asthma control scores compared with control (-0.79; 95% CI, -1.40 to -0.18). Conclusions and Relevance: This randomized clinical trial provides preliminary evidence that connecting all lived environments for care of children can be accomplished through linkages with CHWs.

Schistosomiasis was once hyper-endemic in Yunnan Province. Following concerted efforts for over 70 years, remarkable achievements have been made for schistosomiasis control in the province. In 2004, the Mid- and Long-term Plan for Schistosomiasis Prevention and Control in Yunnan Province was initiated in Yunnan Province, and the target for transmission control of schistosomiasis was achieved in the province in 2009. Following the subsequent implementation of the Outline for Key Projects in Integrated Schistosomiasis Control Program (2009-2015) and the 13th Five - year Plan for Schistosomiasis Control in Yunnan Province, no acute schistosomiasis had been identified in Yunnan Province for successive 12 years, and no local Schistosoma japonicum infections had been detected in humans, animals or Oncomelania hupensis snails for successive 6 years in the province by the end of 2020. The transmission of schistosomiasis was interrupted in Yunnan Province in 2020. This review summarizes the history of schistosomiasis, changes in schistosomiasis prevalence and progress of schistosomiasis control in Yunnan Province, and proposes the future priorities for schistosomiasis control in the province.

Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.80 to 4.95 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20 fb^{-1}, a measurement of Born cross sections for the e^{+}e^{-}âD^{0}D[over ¯]^{0} and D^{+}D^{-} processes is presented with unprecedented precision. Many clear peaks in the line shape of e^{+}e^{-}âD^{0}D[over ¯]^{0} and D^{+}D^{-} around the mass range of G(3900), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), Y(4260), and ψ(4415), etc., are foreseen. These results offer crucial experimental insights into the nature of hadron production in the open-charm region.

Deep multiview clustering provides an efficient way to analyze the data consisting of multiple modalities and features. Recently, the autoencoder (AE)-based deep multiview clustering algorithms have attracted intensive attention by virtue of their rewarding capabilities of extracting inherent features. Nevertheless, most existing methods are still confronted by several problems. First, the multiview data usually contains abundant cross-view information, thus parallel performing an individual AE for each view and directly combining the extracted latent together can hardly construct an informative view-consensus feature space for clustering. Second, the intrinsic local structures of multiview data are complicated, hence simply embedding a preset graph constraint into multiview clustering models cannot guarantee expected performance. Third, current methods commonly utilize the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence as clustering loss and accordingly may yield appalling clusters that lack discriminate characters. To solve these issues, in this article we propose two new AE-based deep multiview clustering algorithms named AE-based deep multiview clustering model incorporating graph embedding (AG-DMC) and deep discriminative multiview clustering algorithm with adaptive graph constraint (ADG-DMC). In AG-DMC, a novel cross-view representation learning model is established delicately by performing decoding processes based on the cascaded view-specific latent to learn sound view-consensus features for inspiring clustering results. In addition, an entropy-regularized adaptive graph constraint is imposed on the obtained soft assignments of data to precisely preserve potential local structures. Furthermore, in the improved model ADG-DMC, the adversarial learning mechanism is adopted as clustering loss to strengthen the discrimination of different clusters for better performance. In the comprehensive experiments carried out on eight real-world datasets, the proposed algorithms have achieved superior performance in the comparison with other advanced multiview clustering algorithms.

Single Image Super-Resolution (SISR) aims to reconstruct a high-resolution image from its corresponding low-resolution input. A common technique to enhance the reconstruction quality is Non-Local Attention (NLA), which leverages self-similar texture patterns in images. However, we have made a novel finding that challenges the prevailing wisdom. Our research reveals that NLA can be detrimental to SISR and even produce severely distorted textures. For example, when dealing with severely degrade textures, NLA may generate unrealistic results due to the inconsistency of non-local texture patterns. This problem is overlooked by existing works, which only measure the average reconstruction quality of the whole image, without considering the potential risks of using NLA. To address this issue, we propose a new perspective for evaluating the reconstruction quality of NLA, by focusing on the sub-pixel level that matches the pixel-wise fusion manner of NLA. From this perspective, we provide the approximate reconstruction performance upper bound of NLA, which guides us to design a concise yet effective Texture-Fidelity Strategy (TFS) to mitigate the degradation caused by NLA. Moreover, the proposed TFS can be conveniently integrated into existing NLA-based SISR models as a general building block. Based on the TFS, we develop a Deep Texture-Fidelity Network (DTFN), which achieves state-of-the-art performance for SISR. Our code and a pre-trained DTFN are available on GitHub for verification.

1. This study calculated descriptive statistics for the production traits of two broiler populations: 1) the Northeast Agricultural University broiler lines divergently selected for abdominal fat content (NEAUHLF white broilers), including fat and lean lines; and 2) the Guangxi yellow broilers. Their genetic parameters were estimated, including (co)variance components, heritability (h2) and genetic correlations (rg), using the REML method.2. Heritability estimates (h2) for NEAUHLF white broilers ranged from 0.07 to 0.61. Traits with high heritability (h2 >0.3) included body weight at 3, 5 and 7 weeks of age (BW3, BW5, BW7), carcass weight (CW), metatarsal circumference (MeC), liver weight (LW), gizzard weight (GW), spleen weight (SW) and testis weight (TeW), while in Guangxi yellow broilers, heritability estimates ranged from 0.18 to 0.76, with every trait exhibiting high heritability, except for SW (0.18).3. Positive genetic correlations for NEAUHLF were found (rg >0.3, ranging from 0.31 to 0.84) between BW7 and metatarsal length (MeL), MeC, body oblique length (BoL), chest angle (ChA), LW, GW, heart weight (HW) and SW. Genetic correlations between abdominal fat weight (AFW) and BW1, BW3, BW5, CW, MeL, keel length (KeL), BoL and LW were positive (rg >0.3, ranging from 0.31 to 0.58).4. Among the Guangxi population, BW (125 d of age) showed strong positive genetic correlations with all other traits (rg >0.3, ranging from 0.30 to 0.99), while AFW displayed strong positive genetic correlations with leg muscle weight (LeW), CW, BW and thigh diameter (TD) (rg >0.3, ranging from 0.44 to 0.51).5. It was concluded that the characteristics of the two populations were different, which means there is a need to use different strategies when performing the breeding work to improve productivity and efficiency in both broiler populations.

The J/ψ, ψ(3686)âΣ^{0}Σ[over ¯]^{0} processes and subsequent decays are studied using the world's largest J/ψ and ψ(3686) data samples collected with the BESIII detector. The parity-violating decay parameters of the decays Σ^{0}âΛγ and Σ[over ¯]^{0}âΛ[over ¯]γ, α_{Σ^{0}}=-0.0017±0.0021±0.0018 and α[over ¯]_{Σ^{0}}=0.0021±0.0020±0.0022, are measured for the first time. The strong CP symmetry is tested in the decays of the Σ^{0} hyperons for the first time by measuring the asymmetry A_{CP}^{Σ}=α_{Σ^{0}}+α[over ¯]_{Σ^{0}}=(0.4±2.9±1.3)×10^{-3}. The weak CP test is performed in the subsequent decays of their daughter particles Λ and Λ[over ¯]. Also for the first time, the transverse polarizations of the Σ^{0} hyperons in J/ψ and ψ(3686) decays are observed with opposite directions, and the ratios between the S-wave and D-wave contributions of the J/ψ, ψ(3686)âΣ^{0}Σ[over ¯]^{0} decays are obtained. These results are crucial to understand the decay dynamics of the charmonium states and the production mechanism of the Σ^{0}-Σ[over ¯]^{0} pairs.
