Novel inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) therapeutic drugs, mainly biologics that neutralize pro-inflammatory factors and janus kinase inhibitors that inhibit cytokine-mediated signal transduction, face problems including low efficacy rates, limited therapeutic benefits, and infection risks. It is an important task to find proteins that broadly regulate a variety of cytokines and to develop corresponding drugs. Cathepsin C (CTSC) mediates neutrophil-related inflammatory, participates in the recruitment and activation of inflammatory cells, and regulates cytokines levels, and is considered an ideal target for IBD treatment. In this study, starting from the in-house molecule, through medicinal chemistry and target-based design, a novel CTSC inhibitor B22 with IBD therapeutic efficacy was discovered. In vitro target verification and mechanism study indicated that B22 inhibit CTSC activity by binding to S2 pocket and S1 site, further inhibiting downstream serine protease activity. In addition, B22 exhibited anti-inflammatory activity and regulated various cytokines levels. In vivo studies highlighted B22 bears acceptable toxicity and suitable pharmacokinetic properties, and displays anti-inflammatory activity in IBD model. In conclusion, B22 is a potential anti-inflammatory molecule for IBD by targeting CTSC and deserves further research.

BACKGROUND: Cholangiocarcinoma is a highly heterogeneous tumor with bile acid metabolism involving in its development. The aim of this study was to characterize bile acid metabolism and identify specific subtypes to better stratify cholangiocarcinoma patients for individualized treatment and prognostic assessment. METHODS: A total of 30 bile acids were quantified using the ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Using Consensus clustering, the molecular subtypes related to bile acid metabolism were identified. The prognosis, clinicopathologic characteristics, immune landscape, and therapeutic response were compared between these subtypes. The single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis and preliminary cell experiment were also conducted to verify our findings. RESULTS: The altered bile acid profile and genetic variation of bile acid metabolism-related genes in cholangiocarcinoma were demonstrated. The cholangiocarcinoma was categorized into bile acid metabolism-active and -inactive subtypes with different prognoses, clinicopathologic characteristics, tumor microenvironments (TME) and therapeutic responses. This categorization was reproducible and predictable. Specifically, the bile acid metabolism-active subtype showed a poor prognosis with an immunosuppressive microenvironment and an inactive response to immunotherapy, while the bile acid metabolism-inactive subtype showed the opposite characteristics. Moreover, the scRNA-seq revealed that immunotherapy altered bile acid metabolism in TME of cholangiocarcinoma. Finally, a prognostic signature related to bile acid metabolism was developed, which exhibited strong power for prognostic assessment of cholangiocarcinoma. Consistently, these results were verified by immunohistochemistry, cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis assays. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, a novel cholangiocarcinoma classification based on bile acid metabolism was established. This classification was significant for the estimation of TME and prognosis.

This study aimed to investigate health care professionals' (HCPs) views on barriers to integrating physical activity (PA) into mild cognitive impairment/dementia care. Semistructured online interviews form 16 HCPs were completed between November 2022 and December 2022. Data were subjected to thematic analysis and were later mapped deductively to the Theoretical Domains Framework. Four themes were identified: (1) "Dementia-inclusive infrastructure or PA recommendations have not yet been systematically developed and implemented;" (2) "Roles and challenges of the multidisciplinary team;" (3) "HCPs believe that patients' PA participation is influenced by their disease or individual factors;" and (4) "HCPs' thoughts on current practice and opinions." Deductive mapping of these themes revealed that 13 of the 14 Theoretical Domains Framework domains influenced it. Integrating PA into mild cognitive impairment/dementia care is subject to several modifiable determinants. Policymakers should focus on improving the environmental context and resources to encourage PA in mild cognitive impairment/dementia.

Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC), a neuroendocrine malignancy that arises from the calcitonin-secreting parafollicular C-cells of the thyroid, constitutes a minor yet impactful fraction of thyroid malignancies. Distinguished by its propensity for aggressive growth and a pronounced tendency for metastasis, MTC poses formidable obstacles to the early diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. The molecular genetics of MTC, particularly the role of the RET gene and the RAS gene family, have been extensively studied, offering insights into the pathogenesis of the disease and revealing potential therapeutic targets. This comprehensive review synthesizes the latest advancements in the molecular genetics of MTC, the evolution of precision therapies, and the identification of novel biomarkers. We also discuss the implications of these findings for clinical practice and the future direction of MTC research.

INTRODUCTION: Roxadustat, an oral inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase domain enzymes, has been approved for the treatment of renal anemia. However, there is a lack of study on its pharmacokinetics in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) with early posttransplant anemia (PTA). Therefore, the aim of this study is to elucidate the pharmacokinetic characteristics of roxadustat in KTRs with early PTA and optimize the dosing regimen. METHODS: A population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) analysis was performed based on 72-hour full concentration-time profiles collected from 52 Chinese KTRs. Covariates influencing exposure were assessed using stepwise covariate modelling. Monte Carlo simulations were conducted to recommend the dosing regimen for patients with different levels of covariates. RESULTS: PopPK analysis showed that the concentration-time data can be fully described by a two-compartment model. Body weight (BW) and direct bilirubin (DBIL) levels significant affected the apparent clearance of roxadustat. Based on the established model and the estimated exposures of roxadustat by Monte Carlo simulations, a recommended dosing regimen for KTRs with early PTA at varying BW and DBIL levels were developed. Roxadustat at 100 mg three times weekly were suitable for the majority of KTRs with a DBIL level around 3 µmol/L and BW between 50 and 75 kg. The required dose may need to be increased with higher BW and lower DBIL levels, while decreased with lower BW and higher DBIL levels. CONCLUSIONS: It was the first PopPK analysis of roxadustat in KTRs with early PTA, which provide a research basis for optimizing the dosing regimen.

Background: Traditional Chinese medicine injections with invigorating blood circulation (TCMI-IBCs), which have been used as antithrombosis therapies, are widely employed by Chinese clinicians as adjuvant therapy for acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Objective: A Bayesian network meta-analysis was conducted to contrast the effectiveness and safety of four TCMI-IBCs in AMI. Methods: Eight Databases were thoroughly searched before 31 December 2023, for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) focusing on the application of TCMI-IBCs combined with conventional treatments (CT) to treat AMI. All-cause mortality (ACM) was the major endpoint. Secondary outcomes included bleeding events, malignant arrhythmia (MA), recurrent myocardial infarction (RMI), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and adverse events. Stata17.0 and GeMTC software were employed for Bayesian network meta-analysis. Results: A total of 73 eligible RCTs involving 7,504 patients were enrolled. Puerarin injection (PI), Danhong injection (DI), sodium Tanshinone IIA Sulfonate injection (STSI), and Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection (DCI) combined with CT can significantly reduce the occurrence of ACM and improve LVEF in AMI (P < 0.05), while without significant impact on bleeding events or MA (P > 0.05). STSI + CT would be the optimal treatment strategy in lowering RMI and ACM. DI + CT was the most likely to be the optimal strategy in reducing MA occurrence and improving LVEF. CT was likely the most effective strategy in reducing bleeding events. However, DI + CT exhibited the least favorable safety. Conclusion: TCMI-IBCs + CT had potential benefits in the treatment of AMI. STSI + CT showed the most favorable performance in treating AMI, followed by DI combined with CT. As antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance shifts to genomics, ensuring the quality of whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data produced across laboratories is critical. Participation in genomic proficiency tests (GPTs) not only increases individual laboratories' WGS capacity but also provides a unique opportunity to improve species-specific thresholds for WGS quality control (QC) by repeated resequencing of distinct isolates. Here, we present the results of the EU Reference Laboratory for Antimicrobial Resistance (EURL-AR) network GPTs of 2021 and 2022, which included 25 EU national reference laboratories (NLRs). A total of 392 genomes from 12 AMR-bacteria were evaluated based on WGS QC metrics. Two percent (n = 9) of the data were excluded, due to contamination, and 11% (n = 41) of the remaining genomes were identified as outliers in at least one QC metric and excluded from computation of the adjusted QC thresholds (AQT). Two QC metric correlation groups were identified through linear regression. Eight percent (n = 28) of the submitted genomes, from 11 laboratories, failed one or more of the AQTs. However, only three laboratories (12%) were identified as underperformers, failing across AQTs for uncorrelated QC metrics in at least two genomes. Finally, new species-specific thresholds for "N50" and "number of contigs > 200 bp" are presented for guidance in routine laboratory QC. The continued participation of NRLs in GPTs will reveal WGS workflow flaws and improve AMR surveillance data. GPT data will continue to contribute to the development of reliable species-specific thresholds for routine WGS QC, standardizing sequencing data QC and ensure inter- and intranational laboratory comparability.IMPORTANCEIllumina next-generation sequencing is an integral part of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance and the most widely used whole-genome sequencing (WGS) platform. The high-throughput, relative low-cost, high discriminatory power, and rapid turnaround time of WGS compared to classical biochemical methods means the technology will likely remain a fundamental tool in AMR surveillance and public health. In this study, we present the current level of WGS capacity among national reference laboratories in the EU Reference Laboratory for AMR network, summarizing applied methodology and statistically evaluating the quality of the obtained sequence data. These findings provide the basis for setting new and revised thresholds for quality metrics used in routine WGS, which have previously been arbitrarily defined. In addition, underperforming participants are identified and encouraged to evaluate their workflows to produce reliable results.

BACKGROUND: The effective transfer of knowledge and skills is the primary goal of nursing education. Despite this, little is known about how knowledge and skills gained through international collaborative nursing educational programs is applied by nurses. OBJECTIVES: To describe the experiences of knowledge and skills transfer among nursing graduates from an international collaborative educational program to their clinical practice and ongoing study. METHODS: A qualitative design was employed for this study. In 2023, fifteen interviews were conducted with nursing graduates from a Chinese-Swedish collaborative nursing educational program at Lishui University in eastern China. Directed content analysis was utilized to analyze the interview data. RESULTS: Nursing graduates gained both knowledge and skills that surpassed the educational goals of the international collaborative program. Throughout the application and transfer of knowledge and skills, participants reported both positive and negative experiences. Notably, a gap persisted between basic nursing theoretical knowledge and clinical practice. Additionally, deficiencies were identified in the transfer of nursing research knowledge, indicating areas for improvement in future nursing education. CONCLUSION: The findings suggest that knowledge and skills from an international collaborative nursing educational program can be successfully transferred to clinical nursing practice and postgraduate study. However, addressing the gap between theoretical knowledge and practice, particularly in updated basic nursing knowledge and practice, is essential. Furthermore, there is a need to enhance awareness and attitudes towards nursing research among nurses, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning.

Blue perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) are crucial avenues for achieving full-color displays and lighting based on perovskite materials. However, the relatively low external quantum efficiency (EQE) has hindered their progression towards commercial applications. Quasi-two-dimensional (quasi-2D) perovskites stand out as promising candidates for blue PeLEDs, with optimized control over low-dimensional phases contributing to enhanced radiative properties of excitons. Herein, the impact of organic molecular dopants on the crystallization of various n-phase structures in quasi-2D perovskite films. The results reveal that the highly reactive bis(4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)phosphine oxide (BTF-PPO) molecule could effectively restrain the formation of organic spacer cation-ordered layered perovskite phases through chemical reactions, simultaneously passivate those uncoordinated Pb2+ defects. Consequently, the prepared PeLEDs exhibited a maximum EQE of 16.6 % (@ 490â nm). The finding provides a new route to design dopant molecules for phase modulation in quasi-2D PeLEDs.

Background: One of the primary reasons for tumor invasion and metastasis is anoikis resistance. Biochemical recurrence (BCR) of prostate cancer (PCa) serves as a harbinger of its distant metastasis. However, the role of anoikis in PCa biochemical recurrence has not been fully elucidated. Methods: Differential expression analysis was used to identify anoikis-related genes based on the TCGA and GeneCards databases. Prognostic models were constructed utilizing LASSO regression, univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. Moreover, Gene Expression Omnibus datasets (GSE70770 and GSE46602) were applied as validation cohorts. Gene Ontology, KEGG and GSVA were utilized to explore biological pathways and molecular mechanisms. Further, immune profiles were assessed using CIBERSORT, ssGSEA, and TIDE, while anti-cancer drugs sensitivity was analyzed by GDSC database. In addition, gene expressions in the model were examined using online databases (Human Protein Atlas and Tumor Immune Single-Cell Hub). Results: 113 differentially expressed anoikis-related genes were found. Four genes (EEF1A2, RET, FOSL1, PCA3) were selected for constructing a prognostic model. Using the findings from the Cox regression analysis, we grouped patients into groups of high and low risk. The high-risk group exhibited a poorer prognosis, with a maximum AUC of 0.897. Moreover, larger percentage of immune infiltration of memory B cells, CD8 Tcells, neutrophils, and M1 macrophages were observed in the high-risk group than those in the low-risk group, whereas the percentage of activated mast cells and dendritic cells in the high-risk group were lower. An increased TIDE score was founded in the high-risk group, suggesting reduced effectiveness of ICI therapy. Additionally, the IC50 results for chemotherapy drugs indicated that the low-risk group was more sensitive to most of the drugs. Finally, the genes EEF1A2, RET, and FOSL1 were expressed in PCa cases based on HPA website. The TISCH database suggested that these four ARGs might contribute to the tumor microenvironment of PCa. Conclusion: We created a risk model utilizing four ARGs that effectively predicts the risk of BCR in PCa patients. This study lays the groundwork for risk stratification and predicting survival outcomes in PCa patients with BCR.

Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) poses a significant challenge globally as a complication of diabetes. Hyaluronan (HA), a critical non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan in the extracellular matrix, plays a pivotal role in the progression of DKD. This study assesses the predictive significance of HA's corresponding receptor, RHAMM (receptor for HA-mediated motility), in DKD pathogenesis in type 2 diabetes (T2DM) patients. Methods: Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were utilized to measure plasma and urine levels of HA, CD44 and RHAMM in 99 diabetic patients. Immunohistochemistry staining was employed to examine HA deposition, CD44 and RHAMM expressions from 18 biopsy-proven DKD patients. Spearman correlation analysis, linear regression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis were conducted to establish associations between plasma HA, CD44 and RHAMM levels, and clinical parameters in DKD patients with T2DM. Results: Elevated plasma and urine HA, CD44 and RHAMM levels were notably observed in the severe renal dysfunction group. Plasma RHAMM exhibited positive correlations with HA (r = 0.616, P < .001) and CD44 (r = 0.220, P < .001), and a negative correlation with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) (r = -0.618, P < .001). After adjusting for other potential predictors, plasma RHAMM emerged as an independent predictor of declining eGFR (ß = -0.160, P < .05). Increased HA, CD44 and RHAMM levels in kidney biopsies of DKD patients were closely associated with heightened kidney injury. The ROC curve analysis highlighted an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.876 for plasma RHAMM, indicating superior diagnostic efficacy compared to CD44 in predicting DKD pathogenesis. The combined AUC of 0.968 for plasma RHAMM, HA and CD44 also suggested even greater diagnostic potential for DKD pathogenesis. Conclusion: These findings provide initial evidence that elevated RHAMM levels predict DKD pathogenesis in T2DM patients. The formation of a triple complex involving HA, CD44 and RHAMM on the cell surface shows promise as a targetable biomarker for early intervention to mitigate severe renal dysfunctions.

RNF214 is an understudied ubiquitin ligase with little knowledge of its biological functions or protein substrates. Here we show that the TEAD transcription factors in the Hippo pathway are substrates of RNF214. RNF214 induces non-proteolytic ubiquitylation at a conserved lysine residue of TEADs, enhances interactions between TEADs and YAP, and promotes transactivation of the downstream genes of the Hippo signaling. Moreover, YAP and TAZ could bind polyubiquitin chains, implying the underlying mechanisms by which RNF214 regulates the Hippo pathway. Furthermore, RNF214 is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and inversely correlates with differentiation status and patient survival. Consistently, RNF214 promotes tumor cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and HCC tumorigenesis in mice. Collectively, our data reveal RNF214 as a critical component in the Hippo pathway by forming a signaling axis of RNF214-TEAD-YAP and suggest that RNF214 is an oncogene of HCC and could be a potential drug target of HCC therapy.

Introduction: Roxadustat, an oral hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase (HIF-PH) inhibitor, can stimulate erythropoiesis. Our objective was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of roxadustat for the treatment of posttransplantation anemia (PTA). Methods: A total of 150 adult renal transplant recipients who underwent PTA were randomized to either the experimental group or the control group. During the 12-week randomized phase, the experimental group was randomized to oral iron and roxadustat treatment, and the control group was randomized to oral iron treatment only. The randomized phase was followed by a 12-week extended treatment period in which all participants were prescribed roxadustat treatment according to hemoglobin (Hb) levels. All the participants were followed-up with every 4 weeks. The primary end points were the change in Hb levels and response rate throughout the randomized period. Results: A total of 128 participants completed the randomized treatment period (90 in the experimental group and 38 in the control group). The mean Hb concentration at week 12 was 12.20 g/dl in the experimental group and 11.19 g/dl in the control group. A significantly higher proportion of participants who achieved Hb responses were in the experimental group than in the control group. Differences in serum iron, total iron-binding capacity (TIBC) and transferrin from baseline to week 8 to 12 were significant between the 2 groups. The adverse event profiles were comparable between the 2 groups. Conclusion: Roxadustat increased Hb in adult renal transplant recipients who underwent PTA, with an adverse event profile comparable to that of the control group.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are developed rapidly in efficiency and stability in recent years, which can compete with silicon solar cells. However, an important obstacle to the commercialization of PSCs is the toxicity of lead ions (Pb2+) from water-soluble perovskites. The entry of free Pb2+ into organisms can cause severe harm to humans, such as blood lead poisoning, organ failure, etc. Therefore, this work reports a "lead isolation-capture" dual detoxification strategy with calcium disodium edetate (EDTA Na-Ca), which can inhibit lead leakage from PSCs under extreme conditions. More importantly, leaked lead exists in a nontoxic aggregation state chelated by EDTA. For the first time, in vivo experiments are conducted in mice to systematically prove that this material has a significant inhibitory effect on the toxicity of perovskites. Objective: As a spectrum of neurodegenerative conditions, dementia presents a significant challenge to worldwide health. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is recognized as the intermediate stage between normal cognitive functioning and dementia. Studies highlight the significant impact of dietary patterns on the management of MCI and dementia. Currently, comprehensive research on dietary patterns specific to MCI and dementia is limited, but bibliometric analysis offers a method to pinpoint essential research directions. Methods: On November 18, 2023, a search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) for publications on diet and MCI/dementia. Tools such as Rstudio, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer were employed to create a knowledge atlas. This atlas analyzed collaborations, reference co-citations, keyword patterns, and emerging trends. Results: The search yielded 1,493 publications on diet and MCI/dementia, indicating a growing interest despite fluctuations. Contributions came from 70 countries/regions and 410 organizations across 456 journals. The USA and China led in publication numbers, with significant contributions from Columbia University and Harvard Medical School. Top authors include Scarmeas Nikolaos, Morris Martha Clare, and Samieri Cecilia. The Ketogenic, Mediterranean, and MIND diets emerged as key dietary patterns for cognitive decline prevention, highlighting the role of genetic factors, especially ApoE polymorphisms, in cognitive deterioration. Conclusion: This study provides core countries, institutions, and authors in the field, and points out the development directions in the field. Future research directions in dietary for MCI and dementia will focus on: (1) the potential effects of the KD in alleviating oxidative stress and modulating gut microbiota in neurodegenerative diseases; (2) how diet influences cognitive health through patterns of ApoE and protein expression; (3) investigating the interactions between gut microbiota and brain function, known as the "gut-brain axis."

Aim: To determine the experiences and needs of palliative care in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods: A scoping literature review methodology, as described by the Joanna Briggs Institute, was employed to search for relevant literature. An electronic search of studies published in English was conducted across five databases from inception to 10 September 2023. Results: The search yielded a total of 1,205 articles, with 20 meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings were organized into four themes: (1) unmet emotional and informational needs; (2) needs for effective coordination of care; (3) planning for the future; and (4) symptom management. This scoping review highlights the intricate nature of palliative care for patients with PD and sheds light on issues within current palliative care healthcare systems. The findings emphasize the necessity for individualized interventions and services to address the diverse unmet palliative care needs of people with PD. Conclusion: The study reveals the complex landscape of palliative care for individuals with advanced PD, emphasizing the inadequacies within existing healthcare systems. The identified themes underscore the importance of tailored interventions to address the varied unmet palliative care needs of this population.

This study aimed to investigate the clinical predictors, including traditional Chinese medicine tongue characteristics and other clinical parameters for chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression (CIM), and then to develop a clinical prediction model and construct a nomogram. A total of 103 patients with lung cancer were prospectively enrolled in this study. All of them were scheduled to receive first-line chemotherapy regimens. Participants were randomly assigned to either the training group (nâ =â 52) or the test group (nâ =â 51). Tongue characteristics and clinical parameters were collected before the start of chemotherapy, and then the incidence of myelosuppression was assessed after treatment. We used univariate logistic regression analysis to identify the risk predictors for assessing the incidence of CIM. Moreover, we developed a predictive model and a nomogram using multivariate logistic regression analysis. Finally, we evaluated the predictive performance of the model by examining the area under the curve value of the receiver operating characteristic, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis. As a result, a total of 3 independent predictors were found to be associated with the CIM in multivariate regression analysis: the fat tongue (ORâ =â 3.67), Karnofsky performance status score (ORâ =â 0.11), and the number of high-toxic drugs in chemotherapy regimens (ORâ =â 4.78). Then a model was constructed using these 3 predictors and it exhibited a robust predictive performance with an area under the curve of 0.82 and the consistent calibration curves. Besides, the decision curve analysis results suggested that applying this predictive model can result in more net clinical benefit for patients. We established a traditional Chinese medicine prediction model based on the tongue characteristics and clinical parameters, which could serve as a useful tool for assessing the risk of CIM.

BACKGROUND: Traditional Chinese medicine injection for Activating Blood Circulation (TCMi-ABC), which exhibits comparable anticoagulant and antiplatelet effects, is commonly used as an adjuvant treatment for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in China. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to conduct a meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of TCMi-ABC in combination with conventional western medicine in reducing mortality associated with AMI. METHODS: We conducted a comprehensive search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Web of Science, CBM, WanFang Data, and CNKI databases. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the use of TCMi-ABC (including Danhong injection, sodium tanshinone IIA sulfonate injection, salvia miltiorrhiza ligupyrazine injection, and puerarin injection) for the treatment of AMI were included. The search included studies published from the inception of the databases up to December 2022. Two authors independently screened RCTs, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 and Stata 17.0. The quality of evidence was evaluated using the GRADE approach. RESULTS: A total of 52 RCTs involving 5363 patients were included in the analysis, none of which described independent testing of the purity or potency of the TCMi-ABC product used. 19/52 reported random sequence generation. All RCTs lack adequate description of allocation concealment. 51/52 failed to assess blinding. The meta-analysis results demonstrated that the combined application of TCMi-ABC, compared with conventional western medicine treatment alone, significantly reduced in-hospital mortality in AMI patients [RR= 0.41, 95% CI (0.29, 0.59), P < 0.05], decreased the incidence of malignant arrhythmia [RR= 0.40, 95% CI (0.26, 0.61), P < 0.05], and increased left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) [MD= 5.53, 95% CI (3.81, 7.26), P < 0.05]. There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups (P > 0.05). The GRADE evidence quality classification indicated that the evidence for in-hospital mortality, malignant arrhythmia, and adverse events was of moderate quality, while the evidence for LVEF was of low quality. CONCLUSION: TCMi-ABC demonstrates additional clinical value in reducing mortality and the risk of malignant arrhythmia in patients with AMI. However, further validation of these findings is warranted through high-quality clinical trials due to methodological weaknesses in randomization, blinding, allocation concealment, and insufficient assessing for the purity/potency of herbs and the gram amount of active constituents.
