[Interdiction and guardianship--a comparative analysis from the neurologist's viewpoint]. / Entmündigung und Pflegschaft--Eine vergleichende Analyse aus nervenärztlicher Sicht.

After expositioning of legal basis for proposal and initiation of interdiction and guardianship a report is given concerning an analysis of all cases of infirmity guardianships of Dresden - City and of procedures of interdiction within the districts of Dresden - City, Dresden - Country, and Bischofswerda during 1975-1980. Some characteristic differences between these two particularities are worked out. The task of psychiatrist as expert is specified, and in conclusion the indispensibility of close cooperation between state notary and psychiatrist is emphasized.

[Extrapyramidal syndromes as side-effects of metoclopramide (Cerucal) medication]. / Extrapyramidale Syndrome als Nebenwirkungen bei Metoclopramid-(Cerucal-)Medikation

The authors, by describing their own observations made on eight patients showing extrapyramidal syndromes as side effects of metoclopramide (Cerucal) medication, report the various kinds of possible side effects, discussing their conformity with side effects produced by conventional neuroleptics and showing methods of treatment. Metoclopramide is known to produce three froms of extrapyramidal and motor side effects, namely: 1. Dyskinetic syndrome; 2. acathisia; and 3. Parkinson's syndrome. Therapy is in the following form regardless of the particular side effect produced by the said drug: 1. Administration of antiparkinsonian remedies; 2. administration of coffein; and 3. discontinuation or drastic reduction, respectively, of the daily dose of Cerucal.

[Psychiatry and EDP. First experience with specialty-specific additional documentation-psychiatry with computer epicrisis]. / Psychiatrie und EDV. Erste Erfahrungen mit einer fachspezifischen Anschlussdokumentation-Psychiatrie mit Rechnerepikrise

A supplementary documentation on psychiatry, of which the purpose is to systematically collect certain predetermined patient data, was prepared as part of the electronic data processing project "Basic processes of patient-related information processing" which has been mapped out by workers at the Dresden Medical Academy. A psychiatric "computer-based epicrisis" has been formulated and introduced into daily psychiatric practice. A brief description of documents serving as vouchers is followed by a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of such a method as well as the basic possibilities of development.
