BACKGROUND: The inflammatory response is a key factor in the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CIRI), and anti-inflammatory interventions may offer a promising therapeutic strategy. Forsythoside B (FB) is a phenylethanoid glycoside isolated from Forsythiae fructus, which has been reported to have anti-inflammatory effects. However, the mechanism of the neuroprotective effect of FB on CIRI remains unclear. METHODS: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to transient middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R). FB was administered intraperitoneally for 3 days prior to MCAO/R. Cerebral infarct volume and neurological deficit score were used as indices to evaluate MCAO/R injury. The serum levels of inflammatory factors and antioxidant enzymes were measured. The activation of silent information regulator 2 homolog 1 (Sirt1) and the inhibition of the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor with a pyrin domain 3 (NLRP3) pathway were assessed through western blot and immunohistochemistry analysis. Furthermore, the rats were treated with Sirt1 shRNA 3 days before MCAO/R by stereotactical injection into the ipsilateral hemispheric region to assess the impact of Sirt1 knockdown on the protection of FB during MCAO/R. RESULTS: FB reduced cerebral infarct volume and neurological deficit score in MCAO/R rats. FB reduced pathological changes and cell apoptosis in the hippocampal CA1 region and cortex on the ischemic side of rats. FB inhibited the serum levels of inflammatory factors and increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes. Further study showed that FB inhibited the activation of the NLRP3 pathway and induced Sirt1 activation. CONCLUSION: FB demonstrated neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the NLRP3 pathway through Sirt1 activation in CIRI.

Heat stress (HS) induces testicular oxidative stress, impairs spermatogenesis, and increases the risk of male infertility. Recent studies have highlighted the antioxidative properties of the Sestrins family in reducing cellular oxidative damage. However, the role of Sestrins (Sestrin1, 2, and 3) in the testicular response to heat stress remains unclear. Here, we found that Sestrin 2 and 3 were highly expressed in the testis relative to Sestrin1. Then, the Sestrin2-/- and Sestrin3-/- mice were generated by CRISPR/Cas9 to investigate the role of them on spermatogenesis after HS. Our data showed that Sestrin2-/- and Sestrin3-/- mice testes exhibited more severe damage manifested by exacerbated loss of germ cells and higher levels of oxidative stress as compared to wild-type counterparts after HS. Notably, Sestrin2-/- and Sestrin3-/- mice underwent a remarkable increase in heat-induced spermatocyte apoptosis than that of controls. Mechanistically, the transcriptome landscape of spermatocytes and chromosome spreading showed that loss of Sestrin2 and Sestrin3 exacerbated meiotic failure by compromising DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) repair after heat stress. Taken together, our work demonstrated a critical protective function of Sestrin2 and Sestrin3 in mitigating the impairments of spermatogenesis against heat stress.

Introduction: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) represents a major cause of adult blindness, and early discovery has led to significant increase in the number of patients with DR. The drugs currently used for treatment, such as ranibizumab, mainly focus on the middle and late periods of DR, and thus do not meet the clinical need. Here, the potential mechanisms by which compound Danshen Dripping Pills (CDDP) might protect against early DR were investigated. Methods: Db/db mice were used to establish a DR model. The initial weights and HbA1c levels of the mice were monitored, and retinal pathology was assessed by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The vascular permeability of the retina and thickness of each retinal layer were measured, and electroretinogram were performed together with fundus fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography. The levels of inflammatory factors were examined in retinal tissue, as well as those of intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1), IL-6, and monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1) in the serum using ELISA. Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), and Bclassociated X protein (Bax). Retinal cell injury and apoptosis were examined by TdT-mediated dUTP Nick End Labeling (TUNEL) assays. Results: The data showed that CDDP significantly improved cellular disarrangement. Imaging data indicated that CDDP could reduce vascular permeability and the amplitude of oscillatory potentials (OPs), and restore the thickness of the ganglion cell layer. Moreover, CDDP reduced the expression levels of inflammatory factors in both the retina and serum. Conclusion: These findings strongly suggest that CDDP prevents early DR through vascular and neuroprotection.

BACKGROUND: Sestrins have been implicated in regulating aging in various organs through multiple pathways. However, their roles in ovarian aging remain unrevealed. METHODS: Female Sestrin1-/-, Sestrin2-/-, and Sestrin3-/- mice were generated using the CRISPR-Cas9 system. Body weights, little sizes, ovarian weights, estrous cyclicity, and follicle number in female mice were observed. ELISA was utilized to measure serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels. Real time PCR, western blot, immunofluorescence, and Masson trichrome staining were employed for assessment of aging-related change. RESULTS: The deletion of Sestrin 1, 2, or 3 had no discernible impact on body weights,or serum AMH levels in female mice at the age of 12 months. And there were no discernible differences in litter sizes or estrous cyclicity which were assessed at the age of 8 months. At the age of 12 months, no significant differences were observed in ovarian weights or follicle numbers among the knockout mice. Consistently, the extent of fibrosis within the ovaries remained comparable across all experimental groups at this age. Additionally, autophagy, apoptosis, DNA damage, and inflammation within the ovaries were also found to be comparable to those in wild-type mice of the same age. CONCLUSIONS: The loss of Sestrin 1, 2, or 3 does not exert a noticeable influence on ovarian function during the aging process. Sestrin1, 2, and 3 are not essential for female fertility in mice.

The ovary ages earlier than most other tissues, yet the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here a comprehensive analysis of transcriptomic landscapes in different organs in young and middle-aged mice revealed that the ovaries showed earlier expression of age-associated genes, identifying increased NADase CD38 expression and decreased NAD+ levels in the ovary of middle-aged mice. Bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing revealed that CD38 deletion mitigated ovarian aging, preserving fertility and follicle reserve in aged mice by countering age-related gene expression changes and intercellular communication alterations. Mechanistically, the earlier onset of inflammation induced higher expression levels of CD38 and decreased NAD+ levels in the ovary, thereby accelerating ovarian aging. Consistently, pharmacological inhibition of CD38 enhanced fertility in middle-aged mice. Our findings revealed the mechanisms underlying the earlier aging of the ovary relative to other organs, providing a potential therapeutic target for ameliorating age-related female infertility.

Herein, the high-entropy perovskite, i.e. La(FeCoNiCrMn)O3, was prepared for simultaneous CO2 reduction and biomass upgrading. Based on the synergistic effect between the elements in the high-entropy material, an excellent CO evolution rate of 131.8 µmol g-1 h-1 and a xylonic acid yield of 63.9% were gained.

In recent years, an increasing number of reports have explored the wound healing mechanism of these two traditional Chinese herbal medicines- Panax ginseng and Panax notoginseng, but there is no systematic research on the related core functions and different mechanisms in the treatment of wound healing up to now. Based on network pharmacology and meta-analysis, the present work aimed to comprehensively review the commonality and diversity of P. ginseng and P. notoginseng in wound healing. In this study, a wound healing-related "ingredients-targets" network of two herbs was constructed. Thereafter, meta-analysis of the multiple target lists by Metascape showed that these two medicines significantly regulated blood vessel development, responses to cytokines and growth factors and oxygen levels, cell death, cell proliferation and differentiation, and cell adhesion. To better understand the discrepancy between these two herbs, it was found that common signaling pathways including Rap1, PI3K/AKT, MAPK, HIF-1 and Focal adhesion regulated the functions listed above. In parallel, the different pathways including renin-angiotensin system, RNA transport and circadian rhythm, autophagy, and the different metabolic pathways may also explained the discrepancies in the regulation of the above-mentioned functions, consistent with the Traditional Chinese Medicine theory about the effects of P. ginseng and P. notoginseng.

OBJECTIVE: Methylene blue (MB) and spring microcoils are used for the preoperative localization of small pulmonary nodules (SPNs). We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of these methods using published data. METHODS: We identified randomized controlled trials and observational studies that assessed preoperative SPN localization using MB or spring microcoil and compared these using a meta-analysis. RESULTS: Seven studies of 933 patients were identified, in whom 1081 SPNs were located. Four hundred twenty-four SPNs were located using MB (n = 359 participants), and 657 SPNs were located using the spring microcoil method (n = 574 participants). The prevalence of technical success of SPN localization was higher using MB (mean deviation [MD]: 0.43; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.20, 0.93); the incidence of postoperative complications was lower (MD: 1.70; 95% CI: 1.09, 2.65); and the time taken for removal was longer (MD: -12.37; 95% CI: -22.60, -2.13). There were no differences with respect to the successful wedge resection rate, the time taken for localization, the duration of the procedure, or the mean hospital stay. CONCLUSIONS: Both methods can detect SPNs; however, MB is associated with a higher success rate and fewer postoperative complications, while spring microcoil localization is associated with more rapid removal.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine metabolic disorder that affects 5-10% of women of reproductive age. The endometrium of women with PCOS has altered immune cells resulting in chronic low-grade inflammation, which attribute to recurrent implantation failure (RIF). In this study, we obtained three PCOS and RIF datasets respectively from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. By analyzing differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and module genes using weighted gene co-expression networks (WGCNA), functional enrichment analysis, and three machine learning algorithms, we identified twelve diseases shared genes, and two diagnostic genes, including GLIPR1 and MAMLD1. PCOS and RIF validation datasets were assessed using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, and ideal area under the curve (AUC) values were obtained for each disease. Besides, we collected granulosa cells from healthy and PCOS infertile women, and endometrial tissues of healthy and RIF patients. RT-PCR was used to validate the reliability of GLIPR1 and MAMLD1. Furthermore, we performed gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) and immune infiltration to explore the underlying mechanism of PCOS and RIF cooccurrence. Through the functional enrichment of twelve shared genes and two diagnostic genes, we found that both PCOS and RIF patients had disturbances in metabolites related to the TCA cycle, which eventually led to the massive activation of immune cells.

Jasmonate ZIM-domain family proteins (JAZs) are repressors in the signaling cascades triggered by jasmonates (JAs). It has been proposed that JAs play essential roles in the sesquiterpene induction and agarwood formation processes in Aquilaria sinensis. However, the specific roles of JAZs in A. sinensis remain elusive. This study employed various methods, including phylogenetic analysis, real-time quantitative PCR, transcriptomic sequencing, yeast two-hybrid assay, and pull-down assay, to characterize A. sinensis JAZ family members and explore their correlations with WRKY transcription factors. The bioinformatic analysis revealed twelve putative AsJAZ proteins in five groups and sixty-four putative AsWRKY transcription factors in three groups. The AsJAZ and AsWRKY genes exhibited various tissue-specific or hormone-induced expression patterns. Some AsJAZ and AsWRKY genes were highly expressed in agarwood or significantly induced by methyl jasmonate in suspension cells. Potential relationships were proposed between AsJAZ4 and several AsWRKY transcription factors. The interaction between AsJAZ4 and AsWRKY75n was confirmed by yeast two-hybrid and pull-down assays. This study characterized the JAZ family members in A. sinensis and proposed a model of the function of the AsJAZ4/WRKY75n complex. This will advance our understanding of the roles of the AsJAZ proteins and their regulatory pathways.

We propose a new solution under the Bayesian framework to simultaneously estimate mean-based asynchronous changepoints in spatially correlated functional time series. Unlike previous methods that assume a shared changepoint at all spatial locations or ignore spatial correlation, our method treats changepoints as a spatial process. This allows our model to respect spatial heterogeneity and exploit spatial correlations to improve estimation. Our method is derived from the ubiquitous cumulative sum (CUSUM) statistic that dominates changepoint detection in functional time series. However, instead of directly searching for the maximum of the CUSUM-based processes, we build spatially correlated two-piece linear models with appropriate variance structure to locate all changepoints at once. The proposed linear model approach increases the robustness of our method to variability in the CUSUM process, which, combined with our spatial correlation model, improves changepoint estimation near the edges. We demonstrate through extensive simulation studies that our method outperforms existing functional changepoint estimators in terms of both estimation accuracy and uncertainty quantification, under either weak or strong spatial correlation, and weak or strong change signals. Finally, we demonstrate our method using a temperature data set and a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) study. Supplementary materials accompanying this paper appear online. Magnetic nanorobotic swarms can mimic collective functions of organisms in nature and be programmed for flexible spatiotemporal control. In this work, different assemblies of magnetic nanoparticle (MNP) swarms were constructed. Temperature-sensitive hydrogels were used as carriers to fix the distribution and ensure the stability of the swarm structure and the biocompatibility of the microrobot. Under three different outfield assembly strategies (gravitational field, gradient magnetic field, and uniform magnetic field), six different assembly modes of MNP are encapsulated (three unilateral unfolding assemblies with different microsphere profiles, unilateral chain assembly, and two symmetric chain assemblies with different magnetic chain positions). Their differences in the execution of motion, magnetothermal effects, and release of loaded DOX drugs were explored. The results showed that the symmetrical chain assembly with the magnetic chain distributed on the outside showed the best performance due to the advantage of the magnetic moment. It has a speed of up to 600 µm/s and a temperature rise rate of up to 1.5 °C/min. The present work provides an excellent solution to the poor MNP cluster distribution stability problem and enriches the assembly control scheme of microrobots in medical, catalytic, and three-dimensional-printing fields.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the most common complication of diabetes. It is also the main cause of blindness caused by multicellular damage involving retinal endothelial cells, ganglial cells, and pigment epithelial cells in adults worldwide. Currently available drugs for DR do not meet the clinical needs; thus, new therapeutic targets are warranted. Noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), a new type of biomarkers, have attracted increased attention in recent years owing to their crucial role in the occurrence and development of DR. NcRNAs mainly include microRNAs, long noncoding RNAs, and circular RNAs, all of which regulate gene and protein expression, as well as multiple biological processes in DR. NcRNAs, can regulate the damage caused by various retinal cells; abnormal changes in the aqueous humor, exosomes, blood, tears, and the formation of new blood vessels. This study reviews the different sources of the three ncRNAs-microRNAs, long noncoding RNAs, and circular RNAs-involved in the pathogenesis of DR and the related drug development progress. Overall, this review improves our understanding of the role of ncRNAs in various retinal cells and offers therapeutic directions and targets for DR treatment.

Lily (Lilium spp.) is one of the most famous ornamental flowers globally. Lily basal rot (also known as root rot or stem rot) and lily gray mold have seriously affected the yield and quality of lily, resulting in huge economic losses. In this study, bacterial strain E was isolated from a continuous lily cropping field. Strain E displayed high control efficiency against lily basal rot and gray mold, caused by Fusarium oxysporum and Botrytis cinerea respectively, and promoted the occurrence of scale bulblets. Strain E displayed strong inhibitory effects against several other plant pathogenic fungi and two pathogenic bacteria in dual culture and disc diffusion assays, respectively. Whole genome sequencing revealed that strain E contained a 3,929,247 bp circular chromosome with 4,056 protein-coding genes and an average GC content of 47.32%. Strain E was classified as Bacillus velezensis using genome-based phylogenetic analysis and average nucleotide identity and digital DNA-DNA hybridization analyses. A total of 86 genes and 13 secondary metabolite biosynthetic gene clusters involved in antifungal and antibacterial activity, plant growth promotion, colonization, nutrient uptake and availability were identified in the genome of strain E. In vitro biochemical assays showed that strain E produced siderophores, proteases, cellulases, biofilms, antifungal and antibacterial substances, and exhibited organic phosphate solubilization and swimming and swarming motility, which were consistent with the results of the genome analysis. Colonization analysis showed that strain E could colonize the root of the lily, but not the leaf. Overall, these results demonstrate that B. velezensis strain E can be used as a potential biofertilizer and biocontrol agent for lily production.

Sirtuin-3 (SIRT3), the main deacetylase in the mitochondria, maintains cellular energy metabolism and redox balance by deacetylating mitochondrial proteins in a NAD+-dependent manner. Growing evidence indicates that decreased Sirt3 expression is involved in various age-related maladies. However, the role of Sirt3 in ovarian and testicular senescence remains unclear. In this study, we observed that sirt3 expression showed age-dependent decreases in the ovary but not the testis. We generated Sirt3 null mice via CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing. We observed that Sirt3 deletion accelerated ovarian aging, as shown by a decrease in offspring sizes, the follicle reserve and oocytes markers (Bmp15 and Gdf9) as well as increased expression of aging and inflammation-related genes (p16, p21, Il-1α, and Il-1ß). Sirt3 deficiency led to an accumulation of superoxide and disruption of spindle assembly accompanied by mitochondrial dysfunction (uneven mitochondria distribution, decreased mitochondrial potential as well as reduced mitochondrial DNA content) in aging oocytes. Meanwhile, in ovaries of Sirt3 null mice, the impaired mitochondrial functions were shown by decreases in mitochondrial respiratory complexes, along with lower levels of mitochondrial fusion (OPA1, MFN2) and fission (DRP1, FIS1) proteins. er levels of mitochondrial fusion (OPA1, MFN2) and fission (DRP1, FIS1) proteins. Interestingly, Sirt3-/- male mice exhibited no changes on the testicular histology, serum testosterone levels, germ-cell proliferation, and differentiation of spermatogonia. Meiotic prophase I spermatocytes were also normal. Levels of superoxide, mitochondrial potential as well as expression of mitochondrially-encoded genes were unaltered in Sirt3-/- testes. Collectively, the results indicated that SIRT3 plays a critical role in maintaining the ovarian follicle reserve and oocyte quality in aging mice, suggesting its important role in controlling ovarian senescence.

RESUMO

Atherosclerosis is the pathological basis of various vascular diseases, including those with high mortality, such as myocardial infarction and stroke. However, its pathogenesis is complex and has not been fully elucidated yet. Over the past few years, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) has been developed and widely used in many biological fields to reveal biological mechanisms at the cellular level and solve the problems of cellular heterogeneity that cannot be solved using bulk RNA sequencing. In this review, we briefly summarize the existing scRNA-seq technologies and focus on their application in atherosclerosis research to provide insights into the occurrence, development and treatment of atherosclerosis.

Traditional soil nitrogen detection methods have the characteristics of being time-consuming and having an environmental pollution effect. We urgently need a rapid, easy-to-operate, and non-polluting soil nitrogen detection technology. In order to quickly measure the nitrogen content in soil, a new method for detecting the nitrogen content in soil is presented by using a near-infrared spectrum technique and random forest regression (RF). Firstly, the experiment took the soil by the Xunsi River in the area of Hubei University of Technology as the research object, and a total of 143 soil samples were collected. Secondly, NIR spectral data from 143 soil samples were acquired, and chemical and physical methods were used to determine the content of nitrogen in the soil. Thirdly, the raw spectral data of soil samples were denoised by preprocessing. Finally, a forecast model for the soil nitrogen content was developed by using the measured values of components and modeling algorithms. The model was optimized by adjusting the changes in the model parameters and Gini coefficient (∆Gini), and the model was compared with the back propagation (BP) and support vector machine (SVM) models. The results show that: the RF model modeling set prediction R2C is 0.921, the RMSEC is 0.115, the test set R2P is 0.83, and the RMSEP is 0.141; the detection of the soil nitrogen content can be realized by using a near-infrared spectrum technique and random forest algorithm, and its prediction accuracy is better than that of the BP and SVM models; using ∆ Gini to optimize the RF modeling data, the spectral information of the soil nitrogen content can be extracted, and the data redundancy can be reduced effectively.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a complex and heterogeneous malignancy with high incidence and poor prognosis. In addition, owing to the lack of diagnostic and prognostic markers, current multimodal treatment options fail to achieve satisfactory outcomes. Tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), angiogenesis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), invasion, metastasis, metabolism, and drug resistance are important factors influencing tumor development and therapy. The intercellular communication of these important processes is mediated by a variety of bioactive molecules to regulate pathophysiological processes in recipient cells. Among these bioactive molecules, non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs), account for a large part of the human transcriptome, and their dysregulation affects the progression of HCC. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the potential regulatory mechanisms of ncRNAs in HCC, summarize novel biomarkers from somatic fluids (plasma/serum/urine), and explore the potential of some small-molecule modulators as drugs. Thus, through this review, we aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of the regulatory mechanisms, early diagnosis, prognosis, and precise treatment of HCC.

Dysfunction caused by mGluR5 expression or activation is an important mechanism in the development of Parkinson's disease (PD). Early clinical studies on mGluR5 negative allosteric modulators have shown some limitations. It is therefore necessary to find a more specific approach to block mGluR5-mediated neurotoxicity. Here, we determined the role of N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor subunit NR2B in mGluR5-mediated ER stress and DNA damage. In vitro study, rotenone-induced ER stress and DNA damage were accompanied by an increase in mGluR5 expression and overexpressed or activated mGluR5 with agonist (RS)-2-chloro-5-hydroxyphenylglycine (CHPG) induced ER stress and DNA damage, while blocking mGluR5 with antagonist 2-methyl-6-(phenylethynyl) pyridine hydrochloride (MPEP) alleviated the effect. Furthermore, the damage caused by CHPG was blocked by NMDA receptor antagonist MK-801. Additionally, rotenone or CHPG increased the p-Src and p-NR2B, which was inhibited by MPEP. Blocking p-Src or NR2B with PP2 or CP101,606 alleviated CHPG-induced ER stress and DNA damage. Overactivation of mGluR5 accompanied with the increase of p-Src and p-NR2B in the ER stress and DNA damage was found in rotenone-induced PD rat model. These findings suggest a new mechanism wherein mGluR5 induces ER stress and DNA damage through the NMDA receptor and propose NR2B as the molecular target for therapeutic strategy for PD.

This study was conducted to determine the subclinical symptom of broilers exposure to mycotxoins from corn naturally contaminated, and the preventive effect with peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-α (PPARα) agonist (Wy-14643) supplementation. A total of 360 one-day -old male Arbor Acres broilers were randomly distributed into 4 treatments with 9 replicates of 10 birds. Dietary treatments included: treatment 1, normal corn diets group, treatment 2, normal corn + Wy-14643 diets group, treatment 3, mycotoxin-contaminated corn diets group, treatment 4, mycotoxin-contaminated corn + Wy-14643 diets group. The supplementation of Wy-14643 was added at the expense of 1 and 2 mg/kg in starter and grower diets, respectively. Birds fed mycotoxin diets had lower (P < 0.05) final body weight (BW), Body weight gain (BWG), feed intake (FI), and had higher (P < 0.05) feed conversion ratio (FCR). Feeding mycotoxin diets reduced (P < 0.05) the levels of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX), catalase (CAT), total antioxidative capacity (T-AOC) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), but higher malondialdehyde (MDA), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and fatty acid synthetase (FAS). The supplementation of Wy-14643 increased (P < 0.05) the level of serum T-AOC, but reduced (P < 0.05) TG and LDL-C. Interactive effect was not observed (P > 0.05) in growth performance and blood profiles. The relative expression of PPARα mRNA and 3-Hydroxy-3-MethylGlutaryl-CO enzyme A (HMGCoA) mRNA was higher (P < 0.05) in treatment 3 and treatment 4 than treatment 1 and treatment 2, and there was significant difference (P <0.05) between treatment 3 and treatment 4. There was significant difference (P < 0.05) between groups of the relative expression of recombinant carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 (CPT1) mRNA. The relative expression of acyl CoA oxidase (ACO) mRNA was higher (P < 0.05) in treatment 1 and treatment 4 than treatment 2 and treatment 3, and there was significant difference (P < 0.05) between treatment 1 and treatment 4. The relative expression of apolipoprotein A (APO-A) mRNA was higher (P < 0.05) in treatment 1 and treatment 4 than treatment 2 and treatment 3. The relative expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP) mRNA was lower (P < 0.05) in treatment 2, treatment 3 and treatment 4 than treatment 1, and there was significant difference (P < 0.05) between treatment 3 and treatment 4. Overall, feeding naturally contaminated mycotoxin diets caused negative effects on growth performance and blood profiles, while diet supplementation with Wy-14643 alleviate the detrimental effects on gene and expression related to liver fat metabolism in broilers.
