RESUMO

A rapid photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor was constructed for nitrite detection in food based on the one-step chemical etching strategy of BiOCl/Zn0.5Cd0.5S (BOC/ZCS) nanocomposites by nitrite. BOC/ZCS heterojunction was prepared by a simple coprecipitation method, and it was found that BOC/ZCS showed significant photoelectrochemical (PEC) activity. The results of this study confirmed that the decrease in the photocurrent of the sensor was linked to the etching of ZCS by nitrite under acidic conditions. Under optimized conditions, the BOC/ZCS-based PEC sensor showed good analytical properties for detecting nitrite, with linear ranges of 1-100 µM and 100-600 µM. The detection limit of the sensor was 0.41 µM (S/N = 3). Excellent repeatability, reproducibility, low background noise, and immunity to interference were demonstrated using the proposed system, and satisfactory results were achieved for the nitrite assay using real samples. These results demonstrate a new method for nitrite detection developed using the proposed PEC sensor.

RESUMO

Microorganisms constitute an essential component of the indoor ecosystem and may pose potential health risks after inhalation. However, evidence regarding the impact of indoor airborne microbiome on general respiratory health is scarce. Additionally, while air purification has been shown to be an effective strategy for controlling culturable bioaerosols, its impact on indoor airborne microbiome remains unclear. To determine the impact of indoor airborne microbial exposure on lung function, and whether and how air purification can modify indoor airborne microbiome, we conducted a randomized, double-blind, crossover study employing air purification intervention among 68 healthy young adults in Beijing, China. Indoor airborne bacteria and fungi were characterized using amplicon sequencing technology and quantified by qPCR. Our results indicated positive associations between indoor airborne microbial α-diversity and lung function indices; however, adverse effects from total microbial load were observed. Males were more susceptible to microbial exposure than females. Beneficial effects from richness in Actinobacteria, Bacteroidia, Oxyphotobacteria, Bacilli, Clostridia, Alphaproteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria, Dothideomycetes, and Sordariomycetes, and detrimental effects from five Proteobacteria genera, including Dechloromonas, Hydrogenophaga, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, and Tolumonas, were also identified. Air purification contributed to decreased fungal diversity and total fungal load, but not the overall microbial community structure. Our study demonstrates the significant role of indoor airborne microbiome in regulating human respiratory health and provides inspiration for improving health through manipulation of indoor microbiome. Meanwhile, our study also underscores the importance of balancing the potential benefits from decreased microbial load and the underlying risks from reduced microbial diversity while applying environmental microbial interventions.

RESUMO

The phospholipase Ds (PLDs) are crucial for cellular signalling and play roles in plant abiotic stress response. In this study, we identified 12 PLD genes from the genome data of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne), which is widely used as forage and turfgrass. Among them, LpPLDδ3 was significantly repressed by ABA treatment, and induced by drought stress and heat stress treatments. The ectopic overexpression (OE) of LpPLDδ3 in Arabidopsis enhanced plant tolerance to osmotic and heat stress as demonstrated by an increased survival rate and reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) accumulation and electrolyte leakage (EL). Arabidopsis endogenous ABA RESPONSIVE ELEMENT BINDING FACTORs (ABFs) and heat stress responsive genes were elevated in LpPLDδ3 OE lines under osmotic and heat stress treatments. Additionally, overexpression of LpPLDδ3 in perennial ryegrass protoplasts could increase heat stress tolerance and elevate expression level of heat stress responsive genes. Moreover, LpABF2 and LpABF4 depressed the LpPLDδ3 expression by directly binding to its ABRE core-binding motif of promoter region. In summary, LpPLDδ3 was repressed by LpABF2 and LpABF4 and positively involved in perennial ryegrass osmotic and heat stress responses.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study is to explore surgical treatment techniques and clinical attributes associated with calvarial metastases, while providing a comprehensive review of the treatment experiences relevant to this particular type of tumor. METHODS: This study involves a retrospective analysis of clinical data from 12 patients diagnosed with calvarial metastatic tumors who underwent surgical intervention. Among these patients, 5 had a history of previous malignant tumor resections, while 7 presented with calvarial metastatic tumors as their initial symptom. In all cases, the surgical approach consisted of calvarial tumor resection followed by titanium mesh repair. Following the surgical intervention, all patients underwent a comprehensive course of treatment, encompassing both local radiotherapy and systemic chemotherapy. RESULTS: In 1 instance, a patient presented with multiple tumors located in the central area of the frontal bone and the right temporal bone. The larger tumor situated in the middle of the frontal bone was surgically excised, while the tumor in the right temporal bone was treated using radiotherapy. In 2 cases characterized by multiple metastases within the skull, a comprehensive excision of all tumors was accomplished in a single surgical procedure. In the remaining cases featuring a solitary metastatic growth, the respective tumors were surgically removed. There were 10 instances of dura mater invasion and 3 cases involving the invasion of brain tissue. Pathologic examinations revealed 1 case of metastatic lung adenocarcinoma, 1 case of metastatic paraganglioma, 1 case of metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma, 2 cases of metastatic thyroid carcinoma, and 7 cases of metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Throughout the follow-up period, spanning from 14 to 90 months, various outcomes were noted. These included three occurrences of in situ recurrence. In addition, 1 patient required 3 distinct surgical interventions, while 2 other patients underwent 2 separate surgical procedures each. Notably, 1 of these cases involved the exposure of the titanium mesh on the scalp, necessitating the removal of the titanium mesh. Regrettably, there have been 9 recorded fatalities among the patients, while 3 individuals have survived. CONCLUSION: Solitary metastasis of calvarium region is rare, and surgical resection is effective. However, it is necessary to extend the resection range and combine with local radiotherapy to avoid local recurrence. Surgical intervention can significantly enhance the quality of life for affected patients. The prognosis of the patients mainly depends on the treatment of the primary disease and the situation of important organ dissemination and treatment.

RESUMO

Background: In bone tissue engineering (BTE), cell-laden scaffolds offer a promising strategy for repairing bone defects, particularly when host cell regeneration is insufficient due to age or disease. Exogenous stem cell-based BTE requires bioactive factors to activate these cells. Graphene oxide quantum dots (GOQDs), zero-dimensional derivatives of graphene oxide, have emerged as potential osteogenic nanomedicines. However, constructing biological scaffolds with GOQDs and elucidating their biological mechanisms remain critical challenges. Methods: We utilized GOQDs with a particle size of 10 nm, characterized by a surface rich in C-O-H and C-O-C functional groups. We developed a gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) hydrogel incorporated with GOQDs-treated dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs). These constructs were transplanted into rat calvarial bone defects to estimate the effectiveness of GOQDs-induced DPSCs in repairing bone defects while also investigating the molecular mechanism underlying GOQDs-induced osteogenesis in DPSCs. Results: GOQDs at 5 µg/mL significantly enhanced the osteogenic differentiation of DPSCs without toxicity. The GOQDs-induced DPSCs showed active osteogenic potential in three-dimensional cell culture system. In vivo, transplantation of GOQDs-preactivated DPSCs/GelMA composite effectively facilitated calvarial bone regeneration. Mechanistically, GOQDs stimulated mitophagy flux through the phosphatase-and-tensin homolog-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1)/Parkin E3 ubiquitin ligase (PRKN) pathway. Notably, inhibiting mitophagy with cyclosporin A prevented the osteogenic activity of GOQDs. Conclusion: This research presents a well-designed bionic GOQDs/DPSCs/GelMA composite scaffold and demonstrated its ability to promote bone regeneration by enhancing mitophagy. These findings highlight the significant potential of this composite for application in BTE and underscore the crucial role of mitophagy in promoting the osteogenic differentiation of GOQDs-induced stem cells.

RESUMO

Herein, we disclosed a protocol for the deoxygenation of allyl arylsulfones to access the corresponding thioethers under photoredox conditions by a "cut-sew" strategy. The key to the success of the deoxygenation process is using triarylphosphines not only as the terminal reductants, but also as the reaction initiators. Deeper understanding of this deoxygenation process enabled the intermolecular deoxygenative allylation.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The metastatic cascade, a multifaceted and highly aggressive process, is the primary cause of mortality. The survival of quiescent cancer cells in circulatory system during metastasis is crucial, yet our comprehension is constrained by the absence of universally accepted quiescent cancer models. METHOD: We developed a quiescent cancer cell model using high-density cultivation. Based on the scRNA-seq analysis, IP-MS, metabolomics, mouse lung metastasis models, cholesterol assay, PLA and other molecular experiments, we explored the molecular mechanism. Immunofluorescence, atomic force microscope, FluidFM, and shear stress stimulation were used to analyze the cytoskeleton and membrane properties contributing to mechanical force resistance. RESULT: We established a quiescent cancer cell model induced by high-density cultivation. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis reveals that CDC25A plays a crucial role in the transition to quiescence, with its expression significantly elevated in the quiescent state. Depletion of CDC25A leads to an increased proliferative capacity, and reduced metastasis under high-density conditions. Mechanistically, upregulated CDC25A in quiescent cells enhances cholesterol metabolism via endosome pathways, leading to cell cycle arrest. This increase in cholesterol reinforces the cytoskeleton, alters membrane properties, and improves resistance to mechanical forces in circulatory system. CONCLUSION: CDC25A significantly increased the cholesterol metabolism through endosome pathway in quiescent cancer cells, leading to the significant changes in cytoskeleton and membrane properties so as to enhance the resistance of mechanical force in circulatory system, facilitating lung metastasis. In high-density cultivation, quiescent cancer cells, up-regulate cholesterol metabolism by CDC25A through endosome pathway, enhancing the resistance to mechanical force in circulatory system, facilitating lung metastasis.

RESUMO

The MDCK cell line is perceived as better than the embryos of hen eggs for the production of influenza vaccines, but the tumorigenicity of these cells is concerning. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is likely to be a crucial target that contributes to the tumorigenicity of MDCK cells. In this study, EGFR-knockdown and EGFR-overexpression cell lines were established. EGFR's influence on cell growth, migration, clonogenic ability, and flu virus susceptibility was evaluated in vitro, and its role in cell tumorigenicity was examined in nude mice. GST pull-down coupled with mass spectrometry (MS) and bioinformatics analysis identified EGFR-interacting proteins. The expression levels of these proteins, as well as those of PI3K-AKT- and MAPK-ERK-signaling-pathway-related molecules, were confirmed at both gene and protein levels. The result indicates that EGFR overexpression can enhance cell proliferation, migration, and clonal formation; EGFR knockdown could effectively curtail tumorigenesis and amplify the titers of influenza viruses in MDCK cells. An analysis of the underlying mechanism identified a total of 21 interacting proteins implicated in tumor formation, and among these, AKT1, CDK4, GNB2, and MAPK8 were confirmed at both gene and protein levels. EGFR can activate key factors of the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway, AKT and PI3K, and promote their phosphorylation levels. Consequently, we concluded that EGFR interacts with GNB2, facilitating transmembrane signal transduction, activating the PI3K-AKT signaling cascade, controlling cell cycle alterations, stimulating cell proliferation, and promoting tumorigenesis.

RESUMO

SO2 derivatives and viscosity are important intracellular indicators, which are closely associated with various physiological metabolisms in organisms. The unregulated contents of SO2 derivatives and viscosity in vivo commonly related to some disorders. In this work, probe JFT was developed relying on FRET and TICT mechanisms for the simultaneous detection of SO2 derivatives and viscosity. JFT can rapidly detect viscosity levels with continuously enhanced fluorescence signals at 582 nm basing on the increasing of viscosity. Moreover, JFT was also sensitive to the changes of SO2 derivatives level with a low detection limit (61.5 nM), rapid responding time (with 16 min), excellent selectivity and anti-interference capacity. JFT could detect bisulfite in real water, wine and food samples with high accuracy and recovery rate. Cell imaging indicated that JFT could monitor the endogenous SO2 derivatives and viscosity in mitochondria. Importantly, JFT could recognize the cancer cells basing on the cell imaging difference of JFT in AGS and GES-1 cells.

RESUMO

One of the main causes of unfavorable pregnancy outcomes in expectant mothers is pregnancy-associated venous thromboembolism. Although pregnancy-related venous thromboembolism does not always manifest obvious clinical symptoms and lacks a comprehensive standard risk assessment and prediction system as well as simple and effective laboratory testing techniques, timely and accurate diagnosis can still help reduce the probability of adverse pregnancy outcomes. To aid in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of pregnancy- associated venous thromboembolism, we attempt to provide an overview of the radiological diagnostic techniques for various forms of the condition.

RESUMO

Cardiomyocyte hypertrophy is a major outcome of pathological cardiac hypertrophy. The m6A demethylase ALKBH5 is reported to be associated with cardiovascular diseases, whereas the functional role of ALKBH5 in cardiomyocyte hypertrophy remains confused. We engineered Alkbh5 siRNA (siAlkbh5) and Alkbh5 overexpressing plasmid (Alkbh5 OE) to transfect cardiomyocytes. Subsequently, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP)-qPCR, MeRIP-qPCR analysis and the dual-luciferase reporter assays were applied to elucidate the regulatory mechanism of ALKBH5 on cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. Our study identified ALKBH5 as a new contributor of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. ALKBH5 showed upregulation in both phenylephrine (PE)-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophic responses in vitro and transverse aortic constriction (TAC)/high fat diet (HFD)-induced pathological cardiac hypertrophy in vivo. Knockdown or overexpression of ALKBH5 regulated the occurrence of hypertrophic responses, including the increased cardiomyocyte surface areas and elevation of the hypertrophic marker levels, such as brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP). Mechanically, we indicated that ALKBH5 activated JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway and mediated m6A demethylation on Stat3 mRNA, but not Jak2 mRNA, resulting in the phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of STAT3, which enhances the transcription of hypertrophic genes (e.g., Nppa) and ultimately leads to the emergence of cardiomyocytes hypertrophic growth. Our work highlights the functional role of ALKBH5 in regulating the onset of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and provides a potential target for hypertrophic heart diseases prevention and treatment. RESUMO

Background: In the general population, primary human papillomavirus (HPV) testing is advocated for cervical cancer (CC) screening. HPV E6/E7 mRNA (Aptima HPV, AHPV) assays have garnered considerable traction due to their higher specificity when compared with HPV DNA assays. Here, we investigated age-specific primary AHPV screening assays and different triage strategies versus cytology to identify the best approach. Methods: Between April 2018 and December 2021, we recruited female participants from 34 communities across Liaoning province and Qingdao City, China. Primary cervical screening protocols included liquid-based cytology (LBC) and AHPV assays, with females positive for any assays undergoing colposcopy. Genotyping (AHPV-GT) was conducted on all HPV-positive samples. Our primary outcomes were the identification of age-specific detection rates, colposcopy referral rates, and sensitivity and specificity values for high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions or worse (HSIL+). AHPV and different triage strategy performances were also examined across different age cohorts. Results: Our investigation included 9911 eligible females. Age-specific abnormal cytology rates were in the 6.1%-8.0% range, and were highest in 45-54-year olds. When compared with 35-44-or 45-54-year olds, HPV prevalence was highest in 55-64-year olds (12.2% or 11.6% vs.14.1%, P = 0.048 and P = 0.002, respectively). In 35-44-year olds, AHPV sensitivity for detecting HSIL+ was 96.6 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 89.7-100) - significantly higher than LBC sensitivity (65.5 [95% CI: 48.3-82.8], P < 0.001). When compared with LBC, HSIL+ detection rates by AHPV-GT using reflex LBC triage increased by 31.5% (9.6‰ vs. 7.3‰), and colposcopy referral rates decreased by 16.4% (5.1% vs. 6.1%). In 45-54-year olds, HSIL+ detection rates for AHPV-GT using reflex LBC triage were lower than LBC rates (6.2‰ vs. 6.6‰). In 55-64-year olds, AHPV sensitivity (97.2 [95% CI: 91.7-100.0]) was higher than LBC sensitivity (66.7 [95% CI: 50.0-80.6], P = 0.003). The area under the curve (AUC) value was not significantly different between AHPV-GT with reflex LBC triage and LBC (0.845 [95% CI: 0.771-0.920] vs. 0.812 [95% CI: 0.734-0.891], P = 0.236). Conclusions: Primary AHPV screening using different triage strategies were different across different age cohorts. Thus, AHPV may be an appropriate primary screening method for 35-44 and 55-64 year old females, while AHPV-GT with reflex LBC triage may be more apt for 35-44 year old females.

RESUMO

The conventional lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) based on gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) is limited by low sensitivity due to the insufficient brightness of Au NPs. To address this problem, noble metal nanomaterials with localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) and synthetic tunability are potential signal outputs for LFIA, which can achieve better optical properties by adjusting the preparation conditions. Herein, this study prepared the hollow silver/gold nano-stars (HAg/Au NSts) as LFIA signal output via the galvanic replacement method. HAg/Au NSts with anisotropic hollow alloy nanostructures exhibit a wide visible light absorption band and great NIR thermal conversion efficiency (η = 37.32 %), which endows them with enhanced colorimetric and photothermal signals. Further, we constructed a colorimetric-photothermal (CM-PT) dual-signal HAg/Au NSts-LFIA and chose staphylococcal enterotoxin B as the target analyte. The linear range of HAg/Au NSts-LFIA is 0.19-100 ng mL-1, and the limit of detection (LOD) is up to 0.29 ng mL-1 and 0.09 ng mL-1 in the colorimetric and photothermal modes respectively. Compared with the conventional Au NPs-LFIA, HAg/Au NSts-CM/PT-LFIA effectively improved the detection performance of LFIA. In addition, HAg/Au NSts-LFIA also showed satisfactory sensitivity (vLOD = 0.78 ng mL-1) and recovery (89.06-114.74 %) in milk and pork samples. Therefore, this work provides a new shape design idea for noble metal nanomaterials in biosensor applications.

RESUMO

Magnesium-lithium-ion hybrid batteries (MLIBs) have gained significant attention since the combination of a dendrite-free and low-cost magnesium anode with lithium-ion storage cathodes. However, the lack of high-performance cathodes has severely hindered their development, limited by the lower operating voltages of electrolytes. Herein, vanadium molybdenum disulfide nanosheets anchoring on flexible carbon cloth (VMS@CC) are constructed as high-performance cathodes for MLIBs, which inherit the electrochemical properties of high-voltage VS2 and high-capacity MoS2, simultaneously. By adjusting the V and Mo atomic ratio, the VMS@CC cathode for MLIBs delivers a record maximum energy density of 275.5 Wh kg-1 with a high working voltage of 1.07 V at 50 mA g-1. Meanwhile, under the synergistic effects of the conductive carbon cloth matrix, abundant hetero-interfaces and defects, as well as expanded interlayer spacing, the VMS@CC cathode displays superior rate capability and long-term cycling stability. Ex situ analyses demonstrate the VMS nanosheets cathode exhibits a Li+/Mg2+ co-insertion/extraction mechanism in MLIBs, following the in situ insertion of organic species in the hybrid electrolyte during the aging process. The fabricated flexible cathode herein provides a new insight into the construction of high-energy density cathodes for MLIBs.

RESUMO

Crashes are frequently disproportionally observed in disadvantaged areas. Despite the evident disparities in transportation safety, there has been limited exploration of quantitative approaches to incorporating equity considerations into road safety management. This study proposes a novel concept of equity-aware safety performance functions (SPFs), enabling a distinct treatment of equity-related variables such as race and income. Equity-aware SPFs introduce a fairness distance and integrate it into the log-likelihood function of the negative binomial regression as a form of partial lasso regularization. A parameter λ is used to control the importance of the regularization term. Equity-aware SPFs are developed for pedestrian-involved crashes at the census tract level in Virginia, USA, and then employed to compute the potential for safety improvement (PSI), a prevalent metric used in hotspot identification. Results show that equity-aware SPFs can diminish the effects of equity-related variables, including poverty ratio, black ratio, Asian ratio, and the ratio of households without vehicles, on the expected crash frequencies, generating higher PSIs for disadvantaged areas. Based on the results of Wilcoxon signed-rank tests, it is evident that there are significant differences in the rankings of PSIs when equity awareness is considered, especially for disadvantaged areas. This study adds to the literature a new quantitative approach to harmonize equity and effectiveness considerations, empowering more equitable decision-making in safety management, such as allocating resources for safety enhancement.

RESUMO

ABSTRACT: The relaxation of trapezius muscles is widely believed to alleviate fatigue or injury of the trapezius muscles and reduce the risk of shoulder and neck pain. This study aims to examine the effects of different muscle relaxation techniques on the physical properties of the trapezius muscle and to explore how changes in the physical properties of the upper trapezius muscle affect those of the middle trapezius muscle. Twenty-four healthy males (mean age: 23.08 ± 0.97 years; height: 172.42 ± 4.61 cm; weight: 66.38 ± 6.68 kg; and body mass index: 22.30 ± 1.81 kg/m2), randomly divided into four groups: stretching relaxation group (ST, n = 6), mechanical vibration massage (MV, n = 6), pulse massage (PU, n = 6), and control (CO, n = 6). Measurements using the Myoton digital muscle assessment system were conducted daily over 2 weeks. The experimental groups demonstrated a notable decrease in tension and stiffness, accompanied by heightened elasticity in the upper trapezius muscles. Conversely, the control group exhibited contrasting trends. Although no significant variances were detected among the relaxation techniques, all proved efficacious compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Moreover, relaxation of the upper trapezius muscles significantly influenced the middle trapezius muscles (P < 0.05). Various relaxation methods positively influenced trapezius muscle attributes over 2 weeks, with inter-regional effects noted.

RESUMO

Background: This study aimed to measure the accuracy of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in the early diagnosis of high-grade cervical lesions and assess its diagnostic value in the triage of high-risk HPV infection. Method: From Jan 2019 to Jan 2021, women who visited the gynecology clinics of 2 hospitals for colposcopy were invited to participate in this study. Women aged 35 to 64 years old who were sexually active and had an intact cervix with a diameter of more than or equal to 2 cm were included in this study. Additionally, individuals with abnormal cytology, positive HPV test results, or other clinically suspicious symptoms or signs were referred. All participants were examined before colposcopy using OCT. Biopsy and/or ECC were conducted under colposcopy. We used the results of histopathology as the gold standard and assessed the accuracy of OCT. Results: Overall, 883 women were included in the analysis. Approximately 13.25% of women were ASCUS+ in cytological assessments, and 22.31% were positive for high-risk HPV. Nearly 15.18% of women were positive in OCT. Of them, 27 women were diagnosed with CIN2, and 33 were diagnosed with CIN3+ lesions. Among HPV-positive women, the detection rates for CIN2+ and CIN3+ were much lower for those who were negative in OCT, compared with NILM cytology (CIN2+: 20.0% vs. 30.0%, P=0.002, and CIN3+: 18.2% vs. 27.3%, P=0.013). Among women who were positive for HPV16/18, the detection rate for CIN2+ was much lower for negative OCT, compared with NILM cytology (8.3% vs.15.0%, P=0.005). Compared to HPV and cytological tests, HPV combined with OCT had higher specificity for detecting CIN2+ and CIN3+ (96.1% vs. 93.2%, P=0.002; 93.8% vs. 91.3%, P=0.013). OCT triage after HPV genotyping had the highest AUC for detecting CIN2+ and CIN3+ cases among patients with high-risk HPV infection (0.921, 0.920). Conclusion: OCT is an accurate test for the early diagnosis of high-grade cervical lesions and has great diagnostic value in the triage of patients with high-risk HPV infection.

RESUMO

Previous animation techniques mainly focus on leveraging explicit structure representations (e.g., meshes or keypoints) for transferring motion from driving videos to source images. However, such methods are challenged with large appearance variations between source and driving data, as well as require complex additional modules to respectively model appearance and motion. Towards addressing these issues, we introduce the Latent Image Animator (LIA), streamlined to animate high-resolution images. LIA is designed as a simple autoencoder that does not rely on explicit representations. Motion transfer in the pixel space is modeled as linear navigation of motion codes in the latent space. Specifically such navigation is represented as an orthogonal motion dictionary learned in a self-supervised manner based on proposed Linear Motion Decomposition (LMD). Extensive experimental results demonstrate that LIA outperforms state-of-the-art on VoxCeleb, TaichiHD, and TED-talk datasets with respect to video quality and spatio-temporal consistency. In addition LIA is well equipped for zero-shot high-resolution image animation.

RESUMO

The selective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics plays an essential role in the chemical industry for the synthesis of anilines and their derivatives, which are known as crucial fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. In this study, we demonstrate the preparation of Pd/Ti monolith catalyst containing well-isolated metallic Pd sites on Ti substrate through a simple impregnation method, showing remarkable catalytic properties in the selective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics containing various functional groups. Kinetic analyses reveal an apparent activation energy of 61 kJ/mol and the kinetic isotope effect (KH2/KD2) of ~1.7 in the hydrogenation of 3-chloronitrobenzene over Pd/Ti-200 ppm catalyst, indicating the facile dissociation of dihydrogen and the subsequent efficient hydrogenation. The Pd/Ti-200 ppm catalyst also demonstrates good stability and recyclability, maintaining its performance over multiple cycles. This simple but innovative approach not only enhances the efficiency of Pd catalysts in the selective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics but also offers significant potential for industrial applications in aniline production.
