El enfoque axiológico o valorativo de las ciencias médicas / The axiological or appraisive approach of medical sciences

RESUMEN

La educación en valores es un proceso continuo que comienza con la atención y educación del niño en la familia y se extiende hasta la universidad. Para el profesional de la salud es importante el fortalecimiento de su formación humanística, y comprender en su totalidad el enfoque valorativo que descansa en la relación profesional salud-paciente. Fundamentar la estructuración del pensamiento ético en el estudio y desarrollo de la teoría de valores, explicar la importancia que tiene la actuación del profesional de la salud frente a los dilemas morales contextuales del medio en que se desenvuelve, y realizar una adecuada interpretación del pensamiento valorativo para el propio desarrollo de las ciencias médicas, es una realidad determinante en la contribución de su formación profesional y en el proceso continuo de la labor desempeñada.

ABSTRACT

Education in values is a continuous process that starts with the care and education of the child within the family, and is extended until the university. For the health professionals it is important the strengthening of their humanistic training, and to understand in its totality the appraisive approach that exists in the professional relationship health-patient. To lay the foundations for the structuring of the ethical thinking in the study and development of the theory of values, to explain the importance of the behavior of the health professional in front of the contextual moral dilemmas of the environment, and to develop an adequate interpretation of the appraisive thinking for the development of the medical sciences, is a determining reality in the contribution to their professional training and in the continuous process of the work done.
