ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Postoperative delirium is a common complication in older patients, with poor long-term outcomes. This study aimed to investigate risk factors and develop a predictive model for postoperative delirium in older patients after major abdominal surgery. METHODS: This study retrospectively recruited 7577 patients aged ≥ 65 years who underwent major abdominal surgery between January 2014 and December 2018 in a single hospital in Beijing, China. Patients were divided into a training cohort (n = 5303) and a validation cohort (n = 2224) for univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses and to build a nomogram. Data were collected for 43 perioperative variables, including demographics, medical history, preoperative laboratory results, imaging, and anesthesia information. RESULTS: Age, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, white blood cell count, glucose, total protein, creatinine, emergency surgery, and anesthesia time were associated with postoperative delirium in multivariate analysis. We developed a nomogram based on the above 8 variables. The nomogram achieved areas under the curve of 0.731 and 0.735 for the training and validation cohorts, respectively. The discriminatory ability of the nomogram was further assessed by dividing the cases into three risk groups (low-risk, nomogram score < 175; medium-risk, nomogram score 175~199; high-risk, nomogram score > 199; P < 0.001). Decision curve analysis revealed that the nomogram provided a good net clinical benefit. CONCLUSIONS: We developed a nomogram that could predict postoperative delirium with high accuracy and stability in older patients after major abdominal surgery.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: This study presents an innovative technique in totally laparoscopic total gastrectomy (TLTG) for Overlap esophagojejunostomy, termed self-pulling and latter transection (Overlap SPLT). It evaluates the effectiveness and short-term outcomes of this novel method through a comparative analysis with the established functional end-to-end esophagojejunostomy incorporating self-pulling and latter transection (FETE SPLT). METHODS: From September 2018 to September 2023, this study enrolled 68 gastric cancer patients who underwent totally laparoscopic total gastrectomy (TLTG) with Overlap SPLT anastomosis and 120 patients who underwent TLTG with FETE SPLT anastomosis. Clinicopathological characteristics, surgical and postoperative outcomes data for Overlap SPLT cases were gathered and retrospectively compared with those from FETE SPLT TLTG to evaluate the effectiveness and clinical safety. RESULTS: The duration of anastomosis for Overlap SPLT was 25.3 ± 7.4minutes, significantly longer than that for the FETE SPLT (18.1 ± 4.0minutes, P = 0.031). Perioperatively, one anastomosis-related complication occurred in each group, but this did not constitute a statistically significant difference (P = 0.682). No statistically significant differences were found between the two groups in terms of operative time, postoperative hospital stay, operative cost, surgical margins, or number of lymph nodes removed. Postoperative morbidity rates were similar between the groups (4.4% vs. 5.8%, P = 0.676). CONCLUSION: The Overlap SPLT technique is regarded as a safe and feasible method for anastomosis. There were no apparent differences in complications between Overlap SPLT and FETE SPLT, but Overlap SPLT costed one additional stapler cartridge and required a longer duration.

ABSTRACT

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a common neurodegenerative disease in the elderly, the exact pathogenesis of which remains incompletely understood, and effective preventive and therapeutic drugs are currently lacking. Cholesterol plays a vital role in cell membrane formation and neurotransmitter synthesis, and its abnormal metabolism is associated with the onset of AD. With the continuous advancement of imaging techniques and molecular biology methods, researchers can more accurately explore the relationship between cholesterol metabolism and AD. Elevated cholesterol levels may lead to vascular dysfunction, thereby affecting neuronal function. Additionally, abnormal cholesterol metabolism may affect the metabolism of ß-amyloid protein, thereby promoting the onset of AD. Brain cholesterol levels are regulated by multiple factors. This review aims to deepen the understanding of the subtle relationship between cholesterol homeostasis and AD, and to introduce the latest advances in cholesterol-regulating AD treatment strategies, thereby inspiring readers to contemplate deeply on this complex relationship. Although there are still many unresolved important issues regarding the risk of brain cholesterol and AD, and some studies may have opposite conclusions, further research is needed to enrich our understanding. However, these findings are expected to deepen our understanding of the pathogenesis of AD and provide important insights for the future development of AD treatment strategies targeting brain cholesterol homeostasis.

ABSTRACT

As the most prominent proton pumps in plants, vacuolar H+-ATPases (VHAs) comprise multiple subunits that are important for physiological processes and stress tolerance in plants. However, few studies on the roles of subunit genes of VHAs in chrysanthemum have been reported to date. In this study, the gene of A subunit of V-ATPase in chrysanthemum (CmVHA-A) was cloned and identified. CmVHA-A was conserved with VHA-A proteins from other plants. Expression analysis showed that CmVHA-A was highly expressed in most tissues of chrysanthemum except for the flower bud, and was readily induced by polyethylene glycol (PEG) treatment. Functional analysis demonstrated that CmVHA-A exerted a negative influence on the growth and development of shoot and root of chrysanthemum under normal conditions. RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) analysis revealed the possible explanations for phenotypic differences between transgenic and wild-type (WT) plants. Under drought conditions, CmVHA-A positively affected the drought tolerance of chrysanthemum by enhancing antioxidase activity and alleviating photosynthetic disruption. Overall, CmVHA-A plays opposite roles in plant growth and drought tolerance of chrysanthemums under different growing conditions.

ABSTRACT

Complete sample digestion is a prerequisite for acquiring high-quality analytical results for geological samples. Closed-vessel acid digestion (bomb) has typically been used for the total digestion of refractory geological samples. However, the long digestion time (4-5 days) and insoluble fluoride complexes still pose challenges for digesting refractory geological samples using this approach. In this study, an efficient and simplified digestion technique combining ultrafine powders from planetary ball milling with bomb digestion was developed for trace element analysis of refractory geological samples: peridotite and granitoid. The method shows two significant improvements compared with previous approaches. (1) By performing dry planetary ultrafine milling, the initial 200 mesh peridotite (<74 µm) could be reduced to 800 mesh (<20 µm) in 6 min at a ball-to-powder mass ratio of approximately 15 using 3 mm tungsten carbide milling balls. (2) Complete peridotite and granitoid dissolution were achieved in approximately 2 h, 60 times faster than what is achievable using previous methods (2 h vs 120 h). Moreover, ultrafine powders effectively suppressed insoluble fluoride formation during bomb digestion. A suite of peridotite and granitoid reference materials were measured to evaluate the stability of this method. This efficient, simple, and reliable sample digestion method could benefit geological, food, environmental, and other fields requiring solid sample decomposition via wet acid, fusion, combustion, or dry ashing.

ABSTRACT

Parkinson's disease (PD) represents the second most widespread neurodegenerative disease, and early monitoring and diagnosis are urgent at present. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is a key enzyme for producing dopamine, the levels of which can serve as an indicator for assessing the severity and progression of PD. This renders the specific detection and visualization of TH a strategically vital way to meet the above demands. However, a fluorescent probe for TH monitoring is still missing. Herein, three rationally designed wash-free ratiometric fluorescent probes were proposed. Among them, TH-1 exhibited ideal photophysical properties and specific dual-channel bioimaging of TH activity in SH-SY5Y nerve cells. Moreover, the probe allowed for in vivo imaging of TH activity in zebrafish brain and living striatal slices of mice. Overall, the ratiometric fluorescent probe TH-1 could serve as a potential tool for real-time monitoring of PD in complex biosystems.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Hemolymphangioma of the jejunum is rare and lacks clinical specificity, and can manifest as gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, and intestinal obstruction. Computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and other examinations show certain characteristics of the disease, but lack accuracy. Although capsule endoscopy and enteroscopy make up for this deficiency, the diagnosis also still requires pathology. CASE SUMMARY: A male patient was admitted to the hospital due to abdominal distension and abdominal pain, but a specific diagnosis by computed tomography examination was not obtained. Partial resection of the small intestine was performed by robotic surgery, and postoperative pathological biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of hemolymphangioma. No recurrence in the follow-up examination was observed. CONCLUSION: Robotic surgery is an effective way to treat hemolymphangioma through minimally invasive techniques under the concept of rapid rehabilitation.

Roots are fundamental for plants to adapt to variable environmental conditions. The development of a robust root system is orchestrated by numerous genetic determinants and, among them, the MADS-box gene ANR1 has garnered substantial attention. Prior research has demonstrated that, in chrysanthemum, CmANR1 positively regulates root system development. Nevertheless, the upstream regulators involved in the CmANR1-mediated regulation of root development remain unidentified. In this study, we successfully identified bric-a-brac, tramtrack and broad (BTB) and transcription adapter putative zinc finger (TAZ) domain protein CmBT1 as the interacting partner of CmANR1 through a yeast-two-hybrid (Y2H) screening library. Furthermore, we validated this physical interaction through bimolecular fluorescence complementation and pull-down assays. Functional assays revealed that CmBT1 exerted a negative influence on root development in chrysanthemum. In both in vitro and in vivo assays, it was evident that CmBT1 mediated the ubiquitination of CmANR1 through the ubiquitin/26S proteasome pathway. This ubiquitination subsequently led to the degradation of the CmANR1 protein and a reduction in the transcription of CmANR1-targeted gene CmPIN2, which was crucial for root development in chrysanthemum. Genetic analysis suggested that CmBT1 modulated root development, at least in part, by regulating the level of CmANR1 protein. Collectively, these findings shed new light on the regulatory role of CmBT1 in degrading CmANR1 through ubiquitination, thereby repressing the expression of its targeted gene and inhibiting root development in chrysanthemum.

BACKGROUND: Sleep disturbances in the peri-operative period have been associated with adverse outcomes, including postoperative delirium (POD). However, research on sleep quality during the immediate postoperative period is limited. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to investigate the association between sleep quality on the night of the operative day assessed using the Sleep Quality Numeric Rating Scale (SQ-NRS), and the incidence of POD in a large cohort of surgical patients. DESIGN: A prospective cohort study. SETTING: A tertiary hospital in China. PATIENTS: This study enrolled patients aged 65 years or older undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia. The participants were categorised into the sleep disturbance and no sleep disturbance groups according to their operative night SQ-NRS. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The primary outcome was delirium incidence, whereas the secondary outcomes included acute kidney injury, stroke, pulmonary infection, cardiovascular complications and all-cause mortality within 1 year postoperatively. RESULTS: In total, 3072 patients were included in the analysis of this study. Among them, 791 (25.72%) experienced sleep disturbances on the night of operative day. Patients in the sleep disturbance group had a significantly higher risk of developing POD (adjusted OR 1.43, 95% CI 1.11 to 1.82, P  = 0.005). Subgroup analysis revealed that age 65-75 years; male sex; ASA III and IV; haemoglobin more than 12 g l -1 ; intra-operative hypotension; surgical duration more than 120 min; and education 9 years or less were significantly associated with POD. No interaction was observed between the subgroups. No significant differences were observed in the secondary outcomes, such as acute kidney injury, stroke, pulmonary infection, cardiovascular complications and all-cause mortality within 1 year postoperatively. CONCLUSIONS: The poor subjective sleep quality on the night of operative day was independently associated with increased POD risk, especially in certain subpopulations. Optimising peri-operative sleep may reduce POD. Further research should investigate potential mechanisms and causal relationships. TRIAL REGISTRY: chictr.org.cn: ChiCTR1900028545.

BACKGROUND: Identifying the risk factors associated with perioperative mortality is crucial, particularly in older patients. Predicting 6-month mortality risk in older patients based on large datasets can assist patients and surgeons in perioperative clinical decision-making. This study aimed to develop a risk prediction model of mortality within 6 months after noncardiac surgery using the clinical data from 11 894 older patients in China. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A multicentre, retrospective cohort study was conducted in 20 tertiary hospitals. The authors retrospectively included 11 894 patients (aged ≥65 years) who underwent noncardiac surgery between April 2020 and April 2022. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator model based on linear regression was used to analyse and select risk factors, and various machine learning methods were used to build predictive models of 6-month mortality. RESULTS: The authors predicted 12 preoperative risk factors associated with 6-month mortality in older patients after noncardiac surgery. Including laboratory-associated risk factors such as mononuclear cell ratio and total blood cholesterol level, etc. Also including medical history associated risk factors such as stroke, history of chronic diseases, etc. By using a random forest model, the authors constructed a predictive model with a satisfactory accuracy (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve=0.97). CONCLUSION: The authors identified 12 preoperative risk factors associated with 6-month mortality in noncardiac surgery older patients. These preoperative risk factors may provide evidence for a comprehensive preoperative anaesthesia assessment as well as necessary information for clinical decision-making by anaesthesiologists.

OBJECTIVE: Prognostic nutritional index (PNI) is an indicator to evaluate the nutritional immune status of patients. This study aimed to assess whether preoperative PNI could predict the occurrence of postoperative POD in aged patients undergoing non-neurosurgery and non-cardiac surgery. METHOD: The aged patients undergoing non-neurosurgery and non-cardiac surgery between January 2014 and August 2019 were included in the retrospective cohort study. The correlation between POD and PNI was investigated by univariate and multivariable logistic regression analysis, propensity score matching (PSM), inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW), and subgroup analysis. RESULTS: In the cohort (n = 29,814), the cutoff value of PNI was 46.01 determined by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. In univariate and three multivariable regression analysis, the ORs of PNI ≤ 46.01 was 2.573(95% CI:2.261-2.929, P < 0.001),1.802 (95% CI:1.567-2.071, P < 0.001),1.463(95% CI:1.246-1.718, P < 0.001),1.370(95% CI:1.165-1.611, P < 0.001). In the PSM model and IPTW model, the ORs of PNI ≤ 46.01 were 1.424(95% CI:1.172-1.734, P < 0.001) and 1.356(95% CI:1.223-1.505, P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: The PNI was found to have a predictive value for POD in patients undergoing non-neurosurgery and non-cardiac surgery. Improving preoperative nutritional status may be beneficial in preventing POD for aged patients.

Enriching the palette of high-performance fluorescent dyes is vital to support the frontier of biomedical imaging. Although various rhodamine skeletons remain the premier type of small-molecule fluorophores due to the apparent high brightness and flexible modifiability, they still suffer from the inherent defect of small Stokes shift due to the nonideal fluorescence imaging signal-to-background ratio. Especially, the rising class of fluorescent dyes, sulfone-substituted xanthone, exhibits great potential, but low chemical stability is also pointed out as the problem. Molecular engineering of sulfone-xanthone to obtain a large Stokes shift and high stability is highly desired, but it is still scarce. Herein, we present the combination modification method for optimizing the performance of sulfone-xanthone. These redesigned fluorescent skeletons owned greatly improved stability and Stokes shift compared with the parent sulfone-rhodamine. To the proof of bioimaging capacity, annexin protein-targeted peptide LS301 was introduced to the most promising dyes, J-S-ARh, to form the tumor-targeted fluorescent probe, J-S-LS301. The resulting probe, J-S-LS301, can be an outstanding fluorescence tool for the orthotopic transplantation tumor model of hepatocellular carcinoma imaging and on-site pathological analysis. In summary, the combination method could serve as a basis for rational optimization of sulfone-xanthone. Overall, the chemistry reported here broadens the scope of accessible sulfone-xanthone functionality and, in turn, enables to facilitate the translation of biomedical research toward the clinical domain.

It is of great practical significance to identify service blind area, scientifically select park construction areas, and clarify the priority of parks' construction based on the co-ordination of supply-demand evaluation. With the urban parks within the Taiyuan Ring Expressway as the research subjects, we estimated the accessibility range and the service pressure of each park by using the application programming interface of Gaode map route planning and point of interest data to characterize their supply and demand levels. We identified the service blind areas of parks by overlay analysis, and used the location-allocation (LA) model to purposefully supply park green space. Results showed that the accessibility coverage rates of the parks by walking and bicycling within 15 minutes were 35.6% and 71.7%, respectively, indicating insufficient supply capacity of parks. The areas with large potential demand for park green space in Taiyuan were mainly concentrated in the business district of Qinxian-Changfeng Street and the Shuangta business district within Dongzhong ring road, which existed the obviously invisible blind areas. Finally, we proposed new park green space site selection proposal based on LA model. Optimization results indicated that the coverage rates of walking and bicycling within 15 minutes increased to 46.7% and 81.0%, respectively, and that the service pressure of parks was relieved. We combined the leisure demands of urban residents and the distribution of urban parks by utilizing network big data, which could promote the scientific nature and accuracy of the optimizing site selection and provide scientific method and theory basis for urban park construction.

BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 pandemic has a heavy impact on the mental health of elderly surgical patients worldwide. In particular, the elderly patients faced considerable psychological stress due to various environmental and medical factors during the outbreak. This study aims to examine changes in mental health trends among non-cardiac surgical patients aged 65 and above in China during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: This multi-center, convenient sampling, longitudinal observational study was conducted from April 1, 2020 to April 30, 2022. Primary outcome was the prevalence of postoperative depression. Secondary outcome was the prevalence of postoperative anxiety. Follow-up was conducted separately at 7 days and 30 days after surgery. Depression symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire 9 (PHQ-9) scale. Anxiety symptoms were assessed using Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) scale, with scores of ≥5 defining positive depression or anxiety symptoms. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate risk factors of mental health status in more elderly patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. RESULTS: A total of 4639 patients were included, of whom 2279 (46.0 %) were male, 752 (15.2 %) were over the age of 75, and 4346 (93.7 %) were married. The monthly prevalence trends demonstrated that compared to the outbreak period, a significant reduction in the prevalence of depression and anxiety symptoms in elderly patients who underwent surgery during the post-pandemic period. In post-pandemic period, a statistically significant decrease in the prevalence of all severity depression and anxiety patients was noted at the 7-day follow-up, but no significant decrease was observed for severe depression and anxiety in the 30-day follow-up. In COVID-19 low-risk area, a significant overall decrease in prevalence of mental health was observed during the post-pandemic period compared to the outbreak period, including 7-day depression, 7-day anxiety, 30-day depression, and 30-day anxiety (all with P < 0.001). Female and patients with ≥2 comorbidities appeared to be more susceptible to postoperative depression and anxiety during the pandemic. LIMITATION: The absence of data from the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak. CONCLUSIONS: This study analyzed the prevalence of depression and anxiety in elderly non-cardiac patients during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on dimensions such as severity, risk-areas, gender, and comorbidity. Our findings revealed a significant decrease in the prevalence of depression and anxiety in elderly surgery patients during the post-pandemic period.

Objectives: Over the years, it has been found that colchicine offers substantial benefits in secondary prevention in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). We studied the effects of colchicine timing because there are no guidelines about when to provide it during the perioperative period for patients with CAD. Methods: Up to January 1, 2023, seven electronic literature databases were screened (including three English databases and four Chinese databases). Randomized controlled trials included only treatment with colchicine in the perioperative period of CAD. The Cochrane Evaluation Tool was used to judge the risk of bias in research. Statistical analysis was performed by Stata 16.0 software. Results: We evaluated twelve studies that found colchicine to be effective in decreasing the occurrence of major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) (p < 0.00001), but it also raised the rate of adverse events (p = 0.001). Subgroup analysis showed the same benefit in lowering the incidence of MACE with continuous administration of a total daily dose of 0.5 mg postoperatively while minimizing drug-related side effects in the patients (p = 0.03). When it comes to preventing surgical stroke occurrences, postoperative administration is more effective (p = 0.006). While the effect of simultaneous preoperative and postoperative administration was marginally greater than other periods in reducing postoperative hs-CRP levels (p = 0.02). Conclusion: Colchicine, a traditional anti-inflammatory drug, also reduces the risk of MACE by reducing inflammation after PCI. Administration at different periods had no significant effect on decreasing the occurrence of MACE, but when administered postoperatively, we advise continuous administration with a total daily dose of 0.5 mg to obtain the same benefit while minimizing the drug's side effects. Postoperative administration is the better measure to prevent postoperative stroke events. Due to the effective anti-inflammatory effect of colchicine, we recommend its use as early as possible in the perioperative period and its continued use at low doses in the postoperative period. ABSTRACT

Accurate detection of target analytes and generation of high-fidelity fluorescence signals are particularly critical in life sciences and clinical diagnostics. However, the majority of current NIR-I fluorescent probes are vulnerable to pH effects resulting in signal distortion. In this work, a series of fluorescence-tunable and pH-independent probes are reported by combining optically tunable groups of unsymmetric Si-rhodamines and introducing the methoxy instead of the spiro ring on the benzene ring at position 9. To validate the concept, the leucine aminopeptidase response site was introduced into Si-2,6OMe-NH2 with the best optical properties to synthesize Si-LAP for monitoring the intrahepatic LAP in vivo. Therefore, the design approach may provide a new and practical strategy for designing innovative functional fluorescent probes and generating high-stability and high-fidelity fluorescent signals.

ABSTRACT

Peroxidase (POD)-like nanozymes have been found to act as nanoreactors for the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) to resolve drug resistance in the tumor microenvironment (TME). Amplifying cellular oxidative stress is considered to be a drug-free strategy to efficiently induce apoptosis in tumor cells. However, the limited content of intracellular hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) extremely restricts the performance of POD-like nanozymes to amplify cellular oxidative stress. Moreover, additional operational processes combined with exogenous reagents to achieve oxidative stress lead to a dilemma of extra cytotoxicity. Here, an integrated iron-porphyrin-MOF-based nanozyme composite named HA@GOx@PCN-224(Fe) (HGPF) was precisely designed and constructed. Generally, the POD-like nanozyme PCN-224(Fe) was used as a platform to immobilize glucose oxidase (GOx), and further embedded with hyaluronic acid (HA) to enable the targeting ability of tumor cells. When endocytosed by tumor cells, intracellular glucose was oxidized to H2O2 and gluconic acid catalyzed by immobilized GOx of HGPF. Afterwards, inspired by heme analogs, H2O2 was catalyzed by iron-porphyrin active sites of the HGPF nanozyme to generate hydroxyl radicals (˙OH). Under light irradiation, the iron-porphyrin of HGPF acted as a photosensitizer to facilely produce singlet oxygen (1O2). Such a synergistic generation of ROS strikingly amplified oxidative stress and induced severe apoptosis in tumor cells. HGPF was expected to integrate intracellular oxygen sources and overcome the dilemma of limited intracellular H2O2 content. Consequently, HGPF was constructed as an integrated nanoreactor to simultaneously achieve light-enhanced catalytic oxidation cascades, providing a promising strategy for a synergistic amplification of cellular oxidative stress.

ABSTRACT

Aberrant lysosomal alkalization is associated with various biological processes, such as oxidative stress, cell apoptosis, ferroptosis, etc. Herein, we developed a novel aminofluorene-based fluorescence probe named FAN to monitor the lysosomal alkalization-related biological processes by its migration from lysosome to nucleus. FAN possessed NIR emission, large Stokes shift, high pH stability, and high photostability, making it suitable for real-time and long-term bioimaging. As a lysosomotropic molecule, FAN can accumulate in lysosomes first and then migrate to the nucleus by right of its binding capability to DNA after lysosomal alkalization. In this manner, FAN was successfully used to monitor these physiological processes which triggered lysosomal alkalization in living cells, including oxidative stress, cell apoptosis, and ferroptosis. More importantly, at higher concentrations, FAN could also serve as a stable nucleus dye for the fluorescence imaging of the nucleus in living cells and tissues. This novel multifunctional fluorescence probe shows great promise for application in lysosomal alkalization-related visual research and nucleus imaging.

Subsequently to the publication of this paper, the authors have realized that an error was made during the compilation of Fig. 2A as it appeared on p. 4. Essentially, the partial Q2­3 images of the '1.56 µm' group were inadvertently copied across to the Q2­3 images of the '3.12 µm' group, leading to the cell number of the Q2­3 quadrant being the same for both the 1.56 µm and the 3.12 µm groups, and also leading the total cell number of the 3.12 µm group being calculated as 106.97%, which was clearly incorrect (the total percentage should have added up to 100%). The corrected version of Fig. 2, showing the correct data for the Q2­3 images in the '3.12 µm' group, is shown on the next page. Note that this error did not significantly affect the results or the conclusions reported in this paper, and all the authors agree with the publication of this Corrigendum. An "AND" logic gate-based NIR fluorescent probe Si-NH2-Glu was developed based on novel meso-amine Si-Rhodamine, which combined γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and pH dual-responsive sites. The features of Si-NH2-Glu enable it to be applied in orthotopic tumor imaging and fluorescence-guided surgery.
