RESUMO

Porous organic polymers (POPs) with inherent porosity, tunable pore environment, and semiconductive property are ideally suitable for application in various advanced semiconductor-related devices. However, owing to the lack of processability, POPs are usually prepared in powder forms, which limits their application in advanced devices. Herein, we demonstrate an example of information storage application of POPs with film form prepared by an electrochemical method. The growth process of the electropolymerized films in accordance with the Volmer-Weber model was proposed by observation of atomic force microscopy. Given the mechanism of the electron transfer system, we verified and mainly emphasized the importance of porosity and interfacial properties of porous polymer films for memristor. As expected, the as-fabricated memristors exhibit good performance on low turn-on voltage (0.65 ± 0.10 V), reliable data storage, and high on/off current ratio (104). This work offers inspiration for applying POPs in the form of electropolymerized films in various advanced semiconductor-related devices.

Rice starch regulator1 (RSR1) participates in the regulation of starch synthesis in rice, but it's function on starch synthesis and quality formation in response to high temperature is unknown. RSR1 mutation resulted in a significant increase in the abscisic acid (ABA) content in rice grains under both normal and high temperature, and the effect of high temperature on grain filling and quality formation of the rsr1 mutants was significantly reduced. The grain size, 1000-kernels weight, amylose content, gelatinization temperature, and starch viscosity of the rsr1 mutants were less sensitive to high temperature. Loss of RSR1 function increased the expression levels of starch synthesis-related genes and reduced their responses to high temperature to some extent. Besides, the percentage of germinated seeds from rsr1 mutants was significantly lower than that of the wild-type, and the difference was more significant under ABA treatment. The shoot lengths of the rsr1 mutants were remarkably shorter than those of the wild-type, which was further exacerbated by ABA treatment. These results indicated that loss function of RSR1 can improve rice quality performance at high temperature by moderately increasing the ABA content of rice grains, which provides theoretical significance for the cultivation of better-quality rice with high-temperature resistance.

Constructing a powerful photocatalytic system that can achieve the carbon dioxide (CO2 ) reduction half-reaction and the water (H2 O) oxidation half-reaction simultaneously is a very challenging but meaningful task. Herein, a porous material with a crystalline topological network, named viCOF-bpy-Re, was rationally synthesized by incorporating rhenium complexes as reductive sites and triazine ring structures as oxidative sites via robust -C=C- bond linkages. The charge-separation ability of viCOF-bpy-Re is promoted by low polarized π-bridges between rhenium complexes and triazine ring units, and the efficient charge-separation enables the photogenerated electron-hole pairs, followed by an intramolecular charge-transfer process, to form photogenerated electrons involved in CO2 reduction and photogenerated holes that participate in H2 O oxidation simultaneously. The viCOF-bpy-Re shows the highest catalytic photocatalytic carbon monoxide (CO) production rate (190.6 µmol g-1 h-1 with about 100 % selectivity) and oxygen (O2 ) evolution (90.2 µmol g-1 h-1 ) among all the porous catalysts in CO2 reduction with H2 O as sacrificial agents. Therefore, a powerful photocatalytic system was successfully achieved, and this catalytic system exhibited excellent stability in the catalysis process for 50 hours. The structure-function relationship was confirmed by femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations.

In this paper, the effects of asymmetrically modulated charged surfaces on streaming potential, velocity field and flow rate are investigated under the axial pressure gradient and vertical magnetic field. In a parallel-plate microchannel, modulated charged potentials on the walls are depicted by the cosine function. The flow of incompressible Newtonian fluid is two-dimensional due to the modulated charged surfaces. Considering the Debye-Hückel approximation, the Poisson-Boltzmann (PB) equation and the modified Navier-Stokes (N-S) equation are established. The analytical solutions of the potential and velocities (u and v) are obtained by means of the superposition principle and stream function. The unknown streaming potential is determined by the condition that the net ionic current is zero. Finally, the influences of pertinent dimensionless parameters (modulated potential parameters, Hartmann number and slip length) on the flow field, streaming potential, velocity field and flow rate are discussed graphically. During the flow process and under the impact of the charge-modulated potentials, the velocity profiles present an oscillating characteristic, and vortexes are generated. The results show that the charge-modulated potentials are beneficial for the enhancement of the streaming potential, velocity and flow rate, which also facilitate the mixing of fluids. Meanwhile, the flow rate can be controlled through the use of a low-amplitude magnetic field.
