RESUMO

The aging phenomenon is commonly observed in quantum-dot light emitting diodes (QLEDs), involving complex chemical or physical processes. Resolving the underlying mechanism of these aging issues is crucial to deliver reliable electroluminescent devices in future display applications. Here, we report a reversible positive aging phenomenon that the device brightness and efficiency significantly improve after device operation, but recover to initial states after long-time storage or mild heat treatment, which can be termed as warming-up effects. Steady and transient equivalent circuit analysis suggest that the radiative recombination current dramatically increases but electron leakage from the quantum dots (QDs) to hole transport layer becomes more accessible during the warming-up process. Further analysis discloses that the notable enhancement of device efficiency can be ascribed to the filling of shell traps in gradient alloyed QDs. This work reveals a distinct positive aging phenomenon featured with reversibility, and further guidelines would be provided to achieve stable QLED devices in real display applications.

RESUMO

The operational stability of the blue quantum dot light-emitting diode (QLED) has been one of the most important obstacles to initialize its industrialization. In this work, we demonstrate a machine learning assisted methodology to illustrate the operational stability of blue QLEDs by analyzing the measurements of over 200 samples (824 QLED devices) including current density-voltage-luminance (J-V-L), impedance spectra (IS), and operational lifetime (T95@1000 cd/m2). The methodology is able to predict the operational lifetime of the QLED with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.70 with a convolutional neural network (CNN) model. By applying a classification decision tree analysis of 26 extracted features of J-V-L and IS curves, we illustrate the key features in determining the operational stability. Furthermore, we simulated the device operation using an equivalent circuit model to discuss the device degradation related operational mechanisms.

RESUMO

In 2020, the domestic (Chinese native) 2v human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine was approved for use in females. At present, there are obvious differences in demand for different HPV vaccines. We aimed to investigate knowledge level of cervical cancer and HPV vaccine and its influencing factors among the eligible female recipients in Shenzhen, China, and to analyze the factors influencing choice of 2vHPV vaccine (domestic or imported) would be selected. A self-administered questionnaire was carried out on this investigation, and respondents were selected by random sampling method conducted by vaccination doctors. A total of 1197 valid questionnaires were collected, of which 729 (60.9%) were vaccinated with domestic vaccines and 468 (39.1%) were vaccinated with imported. Four hundred and fifty (61.7%) and 306 (65.4%) got a passing grade, respectively (χ2 = 1.637, P = .201). Logistic regression analysis showed that age (P = .002), ethnicity (P < .001), duration of residence in Shenzhen (P < .001), educational level (P < .001) and occupation (P < .001) were significant. It also showed that the manufacturers (P < .001), efficacy (P < .001), safety (P < .001), cognitive approach (P < .001), public opinion (P < .001), convenient acquisition (P < .001) and knowledge reserve (P = .035) were statistically significant. While price (P = .371) and doctor's suggestion (P = .114) were not. In conclusion, eligible female recipients had a high degree of knowledge regarding cervical cancer and HPV vaccine, education level and occupation were the most important factors for scores. Domestic 2vHPV vaccine was more widely utilized than imported, manufacturer, efficacy, safety, cognitive approach, public opinion, convenient acquisition, and knowledge reserve had an impact on selection for recipients, while price and doctor's suggestion did not.

RESUMO

The operational stability is a current bottleneck facing the quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). In particular, the device working around turn-on voltage suffers from unbalanced charge injection and heavy power loss. Here, we investigate the operational stability of red emissive CdSe QLEDs operated at different applied voltages. Compared to the rising luminance at higher voltages, the device luminance quickly decreases when loaded around the turn-on voltage, but recovers after unloading or slight heat treatment, which is termed fatigue effects of operational QLED. The electroluminescence and photoluminescence spectra before and after a period of operation at low voltages show that the abrupt decrease in device luminance derives from the reduction of quantum yield in quantum dots. Combined with transient photoluminescence and electroluminescence measurements, as well as equivalent circuit model analysis, the electron accumulation in quantum dots mainly accounts for the observed fatigue effects of a QLED during the operation around turn-on voltage. The underlying mechanisms at the low-voltage working regime will be very helpful for the industrialization of QLED.

RESUMO

In this work, we report the quantitative determination of charge accumulation and recombination in an operated QLED using time-resolved electroluminescence (TREL) spectroscopy. As a supplement technique, time-resolved current (TRC) measurement was introduced and simulated using equivalent circuit model with a series resistance, a parallel resistance, and a capacitance. By modeling the key processes in a typical TREL spectra, the stages of delay, rising, and decay can be correlated to the charge accumulations, charge injection and recombination, and charge release and recombination, respectively. In particular, the rising stage can be described using a modified Langevin recombination model. The electroluminescence recombination rate can be derived by fitting the rising stage curves in the TREL spectra, providing an intrinsic parameter of the emissive materials. In all, this work provides a methodology to quantitatively determine the charge accumulation and recombination of an operational QLED device.

RESUMO

The expression of Hic-5 was detected in osteosarcoma patients and osteosarcoma cell lines by RT-PCR. Then RFP-sh-Hic-5 was transfected into osteosarcoma cell lines. The effect of Hic-5 on cell viability, proliferation and apoptosis were assessed by MTT, EdU kit and Flow cytometry. The exosomes were isolated from MG-63 cell supernatant by an Exosome Isolation Kit. The exosome-Hic-5 was confirmed by transmission electron microscope, particle size detection and RT-PCR. Next, exosome-Hic-5 treated cells were explored the cell viability, proliferation and apoptosis. Further, Co-IP assay was employed for identifying the relationship between Hic-5 and smad4. TCF/LEF and the protein level of components of wnt/ß-catenin signals were detected by TOP luciferase assay and western blot. Hic-5 was upregulated in osteosarcoma tissues and cell. Forced decreased expression Hic-5 inhibited the proliferation of osteosarcoma cell lines, and induced apoptosis of MG-63 and HOS. In vivo, silencing Hic-5 remitted the tumor progression. Further, we isolated the exosomes from MG-63 supernatant, exosomes concluding Hic-5 would regulated the proliferation and apoptosis level of MG-63 and HOS cells. Further, Hic-5 interacted with smad4 and regulated Wnt/ß-catenin signal by decreasing TCF/LEF activity. Silencing Hic-5 inhibited the proliferation and induced apoptosis of osteosarcoma cell via inactivating Wnt/ß-catenin signal by exosome pathway.

RESUMO

The amounts of uric acid (UA) in non-invasive biological samples, such as saliva, are critical for diagnosis and therapy of gout, hyperuricemia, Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, and several other diseases. Here, disposable UA biosensors were fabricated with the screen printing technique on the substrate of flexible PET. The working electrode was modified with carbon nanotubes followed by uricase for UA detection with excellent selectivity. The biosensor showed good electrocatalytic activity toward UA with high sensitivity, low detection limit, and wide linear range, which covers the full range of UA levels in human saliva. We demonstrate that UA can be directly detected in human saliva with the biosensor and the experimental data were consistent with the clinical analysis. This study indicated that the non-invasive biosensor is an attractive and possible approach for the monitoring of salivary UA. Graphical abstract A disposable uric acid biosensor modified with carbon nanotubes followed by uricase was fabricated on flexible PET and applied for the monitoring of salivary uric acid in human saliva.

RESUMO

Pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass with ionic liquids (ILs) for the large-scale biorefinery remains challenging due to its high price. This study focused on the utilization of inorganic salts as adjuvants for ionic liquid-water pretreatment to improve the tolerance to water and the reusability of the ILs. After the pretreatment of rice straw by the mixture of 40% 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C2mim]Cl) + 53% water + 7% K2CO3 at 110 °C for 1 h, the residues became highly susceptible to enzymatic hydrolysis; 93.70% of lignin was removed, and 92.07% sugar yield was achieved. [C2mim]Cl-K2CO3 aqueous biphasic system was formed at room temperature when K2CO3 concentration increased to more than 30%, and the [C2mim]Cl recovery of 94.32% was achieved. The results indicate that the addition of inorganic salts to IL aqueous solutions can significantly reduce the cost of IL pretreatment, while maintaining an efficient enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass.

RESUMO

Mn4+-doped Y2MgTiO6 phosphors are synthesized by the traditional solid-state method. Powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer are employed to characterize the samples. The Mn4+-doped Y2MgTiO6 phosphors show the far-red emission at ∼715 nm, which is assigned to the 2Eg → 4A2 spin-forbidden transition of Mn4+. The temperature-dependent luminescent dynamics of Mn4+ is described by a complete model associated with electron-lattice interaction and spin-orbit coupling. The noncontact optical thermometry of Y2MgTiO6:Mn4+ is discussed based on the fluorescence intensity ratio of thermally coupled anti-Stokes and Stokes sidebands of the efficient ∼715 nm far-red emission in the temperature range of 10-513 K. The maximum sensor sensitivity of Y2MgTiO6:Mn4+ is determined to be as high as 0.001 42 K-1 at 153 K, which demonstrates potential applications for the optical thermometry at low-temperature environments.

RESUMO

A novel red emitting Cs2WO2F4:Mn4+ phosphor was successfully synthesized by a two-step wet chemical method. The crystal structure, morphology, and elemental composition were confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. The luminescence properties were investigated from emission, excitation and luminescence decay curves in the temperature region of 10-500 K. The application of non-contact optical thermometry of Cs2WO2F4:Mn4+ based on the fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR) of the two coupled anti-Stokes and Stokes sidebands is discussed. The as-prepared Cs2WO2F4:Mn4+ phosphor shows a bright narrow red emission at 632 nm under excitation by a blue lamp at 470 nm and it also presents a broad and yellow-white intrinsic tungstate emission (∼520 nm) under UV excitation. The mechanism of energy transfer from [WO2F4]2- (the sensitizer) to Mn4+ (the activator) is discussed.

RESUMO

A synthetic method that relies on Au(I)-catalyzed tandem 1,3-acyloxy migration/double cyclopropanation of 1-ene-4,9-diyne and 1-ene-4,10-diyne esters to construct the respective architecturally challenging tetracyclodecene and tetracycloundecene derivatives is described. Achieved under mild reaction conditions, the transformation was shown to be robust with a wide variety of substitution patterns tolerated to give the two members of the carbocyclic family in good to excellent yields and as a single regio- and diastereomer.

RESUMO

A novel calcium silicate borate Ca11Si4B2O22 ceramic was firstly prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction. In vitro hydroxyapatite mineralization was investigated by soaking the ceramics in simulated body fluid (SBF) solutions at body temperature (37 °C) for various time periods. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) measurements were applied to investigate the samples before and after the immersion of ceramics in SBF solution. The elemental compositions of a hydroxyapatite layer on the ceramics during the mineralization were confirmed by X-ray energy-dispersive spectra (EDS). Meanwhile, the bending strength and elastic modulus of Ca11Si4B2O22 ceramics were also measured, which indicate that the biomaterials based on Ca11Si4B2O22 ceramics possess bioactivity and might be a potential candidate as biomaterials for hard tissue repair. The bioactive mineralization ability was evaluated on the base of its crystal structural characteristics, i.e., silanol (Si-OH) and B-OH groups can be easily induced on the surface of Ca11Si4B2O22 ceramics soaked in SBF solutions.
