RESUMO

Examinations of the hemostasis system parameters in patients with scleroderma, psoriatic arthritis, malignant lymphoma of the skin have revealed a significant elevation of fibrinogen concentration, acceleration of blood clotting time, increased prothrombin consumption in all the patients. Elevation of the prothrombin index was detected in the patients with scleroderma and psoriatic arthritis. A direct relationship between the disease severity, size of the involvement of the skin integument, inflammation activity in the joints, and severity of hemostasis impairment has been revealed.

RESUMO

Analysis of the informative value of signs and prognostic coefficients for 35 clinical amnestic and laboratory parameters helped make up a prognostic table for the assessment of the severity of psoriasis course and therapy efficacy. After consecutive Wald's processing 28 signs were selected out of these 35. The prognostic threshold was calculated, that permitted distribution of the patients into groups with favorable and unfavorable course of psoriasis.

RESUMO

Examinations of 42 patients with local scleroderma have revealed increased hydroxyproline and glycosaminoglycane excretion and impaired cellular and humoral immunity, these shifts correlating with the type and severity of the disease. Collalysin therapy resulted in a good clinical effect and improvement of the immune and metabolic parameters.

RESUMO

Clinical patterns of psoriasis in 155 inpatients are analyzed, as are case histories of 2083 patients in the town of Saratov. Spontaneous and prolonged remissions of the condition have been recorded in 36.1 and 13.4% of the patients, respectively. The mean period between the disease manifestation and the onset of a prolonged remission has been 8.5 +/- 0.6 years, the length of the remission being 9.8 +/- 0.9 in men and 9.6 +/- 1.0 years in women. The authors compare the stability of the remissions after various treatment modalities. Combined stage-by-stage rehabilitation (outpatient clinic--hospital--health resort--outpatient clinic) has yielded the best results.

RESUMO

Clinical and laboratory examinations of 250 patients with chronic dermatoses (eczema, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, pemphigus, etc.) have revealed secondary candidal involvement of the skin and mucosa in 121 (46.6%). C. albicans, often associated with bacillary (33.3%) or bacterial (7.3%) microflora, predominated among the yeast-like fungi isolated from the patients. These data point to the necessity of prescribing, besides the antimycotic agents, a complex of pathogenetic therapy including immunomodulators, in order to cut down the terms of treatment and prevent secondary candidal infection in the patients with chronic dermatoses.
