In this article four directors of the Brazilian Association of Nursing (ABEn)-SP report meaningful aspects of the history of this institution along its 56 years. The information, facts and pictures were organized based on documents and on a manuscript written by one of the first directors of the association. The article is permeated of personal impressions regarding the authors' experiences in ABEn.

[Study of caries using axial-mesial-distal sections and interproximal and periapical radiographs with paralleling and bisecting technics]. / Contribuição para o estudo de áreas do processo de cárie, através de cortes axio-mesio-distais e de radiografias interproximais e periapicais nas técnicas do paralelismo e da bissetriz.

The authors, considering the radiographic complementary survey importance in Operative Dentistry, has made an analysis on the three main radiologic technics (Bite-Wing and Bisecting Angle and Paralleling Technic), in an attempt to compare the per cent magnification grade of the carious lesion radiographic image, by measurements taken at the tooth sections, and over the patient's radiographs, to contribute with a more accurate diagnosis performed by the dentist.
