RESUMO

With the development of gut microbiota-specific interventions for mental disorders, the interactions between plant polysaccharides and microbiota in the intestinal and their consequent effects are becoming increasingly important. In this review, we discussed the role of plant polysaccharides in improving various mental disorders via the microbiota-gut-brain axis. The chemical and structural characteristics and metabolites of these plant polysaccharides were summarised. Plant polysaccharides and their metabolites have great potential for reshaping gut microbiota profiles through gut microbiota-dependent fermentation. Along the microbiota-gut-brain axis, the consequent pharmacological processes that lead to the elimination of the symptoms of mental disorders include 1) regulation of the central monoamine neurotransmitters, amino acid transmitters and cholinergic signalling system; 2) alleviation of central and peripheral inflammation mainly through the NLRP3/NF-κB-related signalling pathway; 3) inhibition of neuronal apoptosis; and 4) enhancement of antioxidant activities. According to this review, monosaccharide glucose and structure -4-α-Glcp-(1→ are the most potent compositions of the most reported plant polysaccharides. However, the causal structure-activity relationship remains to be extensively explored. Moreover, mechanistic elucidation, safety verification, and additional rigorous human studies are expected to advance plant polysaccharide-based product development targeting the microbiota-gut-brain axis for people with mental disorders.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Medulloblastoma (MB) is one of the most common malignant brain tumors that mainly affect children. Various approaches have been used to model MB to facilitate investigating tumorigenesis. This study aims to compare the recapitulation of MB between subcutaneous patient-derived xenograft (sPDX), intracranial patient-derived xenograft (iPDX), and genetically engineered mouse models (GEMM) at the single-cell level. METHODS: We obtained primary human sonic hedgehog (SHH) and group 3 (G3) MB samples from six patients. For each patient specimen, we developed two sPDX and iPDX models, respectively. Three Patch+/- GEMM models were also included for sequencing. Single-cell RNA sequencing was performed to compare gene expression profiles, cellular composition, and functional pathway enrichment. Bulk RNA-seq deconvolution was performed to compare cellular composition across models and human samples. RESULTS: Our results showed that the sPDX tumor model demonstrated the highest correlation to the overall transcriptomic profiles of primary human tumors at the single-cell level within the SHH and G3 subgroups, followed by the GEMM model and iPDX. The GEMM tumor model was able to recapitulate all subpopulations of tumor microenvironment (TME) cells that can be clustered in human SHH tumors, including a higher proportion of tumor-associated astrocytes and immune cells, and an additional cluster of vascular endothelia when compared to human SHH tumors. CONCLUSIONS: This study was the first to compare experimental models for MB at the single-cell level, providing value insights into model selection for different research purposes. sPDX and iPDX are suitable for drug testing and personalized therapy screenings, whereas GEMM models are valuable for investigating the interaction between tumor and TME cells.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To introduce a modified guided bone regeneration (GBR) technique using intact periosteum and deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) for peri-implant augmentation and compare the clinical outcomes with those of conventional GBR. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients who received peri-implant augmentation in posterior sites between 2015 and 2021 were reviewed in this study. Group A was treated with a modified GBR technique, and Group B was treated with conventional GBR. For group comparison, propensity score matching was performed with a sensitivity analysis. The implant survival rate, dimensional changes in hard tissue, marginal bone loss (MBL), and peri-implant parameters were evaluated. RESULTS: In total, 114 implants from 98 patients were included. The implant survival rates were 95.74% in Group A and 95.00% in Group B during the follow-up period. At 6 months, the median horizontal thickness was recorded at 0.87 mm (IQ1-IQ3 = 0.00-1.75 mm) in Group A, exhibiting a relatively lower value compared to the corresponding measurement of 0.98 mm (IQ1-IQ3 = 0.00-1.89 mm) in Group B (p = .937). Vertical height displayed no statistically significant intergroup difference between the two groups (p = .758). The mean follow-up period was 25.83 ± 12.93 months after loading in Group A and 27.47 ± 21.29 months in Group B (p = .761). MBL and peri-implant parameters were comparable between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: Within the limitations of this study, the modified GBR technique using intact periosteum and DBBM grafting might be a viable alternative to correct bone defects around implants in molar and premolar sites.

RESUMO

The rapid development of the city leads to the continuous updating of the land use allocation ratio, particularly during the flood season, which will exacerbate the significant changes in the spatial and temporal patterns of urban flooding, increasing the difficulty of urban flood forecasting and early warning. In this study, the spatial and temporal evolution of flooding in a high-density urban area was analyzed based on the Mike Flood model, and the influence mechanisms of different rainfall peak locations and infiltration rate scenarios on the spatial and temporal characteristics of urban waterlogging were explored. The results revealed that under the same return period, the larger the rainfall peak coefficient, the larger the peak value of inundation volume and inundation area. When the rainfall peak coefficient is small, the higher the return period is, and the larger the peak lag time of the inundation volume is, in which P = 50a, r = 0.2, the peak lag time of the inundation volume reached 32 min and 45 min for the inundation depths H > 0.03 m and H > 0.15 m, respectively. There are also significant differences in the peak lag time of waterlogging inundation volume for different inundation depths. The greater the inundation depth, the longer the peak lag time of the inundation volume, and the higher the return period, the more significant the effect of lag time prolongation. It is worth noting that the increase in infiltration rate may lead to an advance in the peak time of inundation volume and inundation area, and the peak time of the inundation area is overall more obvious than that of inundation volume. The effect of infiltration rate on the peak time of inundation volume for larger inundation depths was relatively large; the peak times of inundation volume and inundation area were advanced by 4-6 min and 4-8 min for H > 0.03 m and H > 0.15 m, respectively, after the increase in infiltration rate, and the higher the rainfall return period, the longer the advance time. The spatial and temporal characteristics of waterlogging under different peak rainfall locations and infiltration capacities obtained in this study can help provide a new perspective for temporal forecasting and warning of urban waterlogging.

RESUMO

Peganum harmala L. (P. harmala), also known as Espand, Harmel, or Syrian rue, and Hypericum perforatum L. (H. perforatum), commonly known as St. John's wort, are two of the widely cultivated industrial crops and used worldwide in antihepatoma-related products. However, their main functional substances are still not clear, thus impeding the efficacy evaluations and quality controls of relative products around the world. In this work, the anti-hepatoma biomarkers of P. harmala and H. perforatum were clarified through the development of principal components analysis (PCA)-HPLC secondary metabolite mapping models. The chemical fingerprints of plant extracts were profiled by HPLC and then mapped to produce the secondary metabolite models using PCA. The models correlated the chemical information with the anti-hepatoma activities of plant extracts, thus indicating the functional inhibitors of P. harmala and H. perforatum against hepatoma cells. The activities of the identified compounds were validated by cytotoxic and apoptotic assays. The major inhibitors of P. harmala and H. perforatum against human hepatoma were determined to be harmine and quercetin, respectively. The IC50 values and the induced apoptotic rate of harmine on HepG2 cells were 20.7 ± 2.8 µM and 46.7 ± 3.5 %, respectively. The IC50 values and the induced apoptotic rate of quercetin on HepG2 cells were 49.5 ± 6.6 µM and 38.7 ± 2.6 %, respectively. In conclusion, the results significantly expanded the understanding of the biochemical foundations of P. harmala and H. perforatum, thus evidently supporting their current applications around the world. Moreover, harmine and quercetin could be used as biomarkers to evaluate the efficacy and quality of related products of industrial crops in therapeutic and health-improving applications.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To identify the risk indicators and develop and validate a nomogram prediction model of implant apical non-coverage by comprehensively analyzing clinical and radiographic factors in bone-added transcrestal sinus floor elevation (TSFE). MATERIAL AND METHODS: A total of 260 implants in 195 patients receiving bone-added TSFE were included in the study. The population was divided into a development (180 implants) and a validation (80 implants) cohort. According to 6 months post-surgery radiographic images, implants were categorized as "apical non-coverage" or "apical covered." The association of risk factors including clinical and radiographic parameters with implant apical non-coverage was assessed using regression analyses. A nomogram prediction model was developed, and its validation and discriminatory ability were analyzed. RESULTS: The nomogram predicting bone-added TSFE's simultaneously placed implant's apex non-coverage after 6 months. This study revealed that sinus angle, endo-sinus bone gain, implant protrusion length, graft contact walls, and distal angle were predictors of implant apical non-coverage. The generated nomogram showed a strong predictive capability (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.845), confirmed by internal validation using 10-fold cross-validation (Median AUC of 0.870) and temporal validation (AUC = 0.854). The calibration curve and decision curve analysis demonstrated good performance and high net benefit of the nomogram, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The clinical implementation of the present nomogram is suitable for predicting the apex non-coverage of implants placed simultaneously with bone-added TSFE after 6 months.

RESUMO

Phosphorus-rich compounds have emerged as a promising class of energy storage and conversion materials due to their interesting structures and electrochemical properties. Herein, we propose that a metallic CrP2 monolayer, isomorphic to 1H-phase MoS2, is a good prospect as an anode for K-ion batteries and a catalyst for hydrogen evolution through first-principles calculations. The CrP2 monolayer demonstrates not only a desirable high K storage capacity (940 mA h g-1) but also a low K-ion diffusion barrier (0.10 eV) and average open circuit voltage (0.40 V). On the other hand, its Gibbs free energy (0.02 eV)/active site density is superior/comparable to that of commercial Pt, resulting from the contribution of the lone pair electrons of the P atom. Its high structural stability and intrinsic metallicity can ensure high safety and performance during the cyclic process. These interesting properties make the CrP2 monolayer a promising multifunctional material for energy storage and conversion devices.

RESUMO

Heterotopic ossification (HO) is a pathological process that often occurs in soft tissues following severe trauma. There is no effective therapy for HO. The BMP signalling pathway plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of HO. Our previous study showed that AMPK negatively regulates the BMP signalling pathway and osteogenic differentiation. The present study aims to study the effect of two AMPK activators berberine and aspirin on osteogenic differentiation and HO induced by traumatic injury. The effects of two AMPK activators, berberine and aspirin, on BMP signalling and osteogenic differentiation were measured by western blot, ALP and Alizarin red S staining in C3H10T1/2 cells. A mouse model with Achilles tenotomy was employed to assess the effects of berberine and aspirin on HO using µCT and histological analysis. First, our study showed that berberine and aspirin inhibited phosphorylation of Smad1/5 induced by BMP6 and the inhibition was attributed to the down-regulation of ALK2 expression. Second, the combination of berberine and aspirin yielded more potent effects on BMP signalling. Third, we further found that there was an additive effect of berberine and aspirin combination on osteogenic differentiation. Finally, we found that berberine and aspirin blocked trauma-induced ectopic bone formation in mice, which may be through suppression of phosphorylation of Smad1/5 in injured tissues. Collectively, these findings indicate that berberine and aspirin inhibit osteogenic differentiation in C3H10T1/2 cells and traumatic HO in mice, possibly through the down-regulation of the BMP signalling pathway. Our study sheds a light on prevention and treatment of traumatic HO using AMPK pharmacological activators berberine and aspirin.

RESUMO

AIM: To evaluate the effectiveness and complications of the cushioned grind-out technique. The primary outcome was endo-sinus bone gain (ESBG), while secondary outcomes included the Schneiderian membrane perforation rate and mid- to long-term implant survival. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this retrospective study, we compared the cushioned grind-out technique with the classic osteotome technique, establishing statistical models to assess ESBG, membrane perforation rate and implant survival rate. RESULTS: A total of 259 patients and 340 implants were included. The mean ESBG was 5.31 mm for the cushioned grind-out group and 4.64 mm for the osteotome group. Multivariable regression analysis revealed that the cushioned grind-out technique significantly facilitated ESBG (p = .028). Nineteen preparation sites experienced membrane perforation, with rates of 5.5% and 6.4% for the cushioned grind-out and osteotome groups, respectively. However, the difference was not statistically significant (p = .920). Additionally, the cumulative survival rate of the implants for 7 years was 95.2% and 91.4%, respectively, with the surgical technique not significantly influencing the results. CONCLUSIONS: With 6 months to 7 years of post-prosthetic restoration review data, our findings show that the cushioned grind-out technique facilitates a higher ESBG, with no significant difference in membrane perforation or implant failure rate.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of the cushioned grind-out technique transcrestal sinus floor elevation for simultaneous implant placement with ≤4 mm of residual bone height (RBH). MATERIALS AND METHODS: This was a retrospective propensity score matching (PSM) study. Five PSM analyses included the confounding variables of Schneiderian membrane perforation, early and late implant failure, and peri-implant apical and marginal bone resorption. After PSM, we compared the difference in five aspects between the RBH ≤ 4 and >4 mm groups. RESULTS: A total of 214 patients with 306 implants were included in this study. After PSM, the generalized linear mixed model (GLMM) indicated that RBH ≤ 4 mm had no significantly higher risk of Schneiderian membrane perforation and early and late implant failure (p = .897, p = .140, p = .991, respectively). The implant cumulative 7-year survival rate of the RBH ≤ 4 and >4 mm groups was 95.5% and 93.9%, respectively (log-rank test: p = .900). Within at least 40 cases per group after PSM, two multivariate GLMMs indicated that RBH ≤ 4 mm could not be identified as the promotive factor of bone resorption of either endo-sinus bone gain or crest bone level (RBH × time interaction p = .850, p = .698, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: Within the limitations, 3 months to 7 years of post-prosthetic restoration review data indicated an acceptable mid-term survival and success rate of applying the cushioned grind-out technique in RBH ≤ 4 mm cases.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to analyze the effect of the apex coverage by the bone graft, including exposure and coverage less than or greater than 2 mm on implant survival rate and peri-implant bone and soft tissue remodeling. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 264 implants in 180 patients who had undergone transcrestal sinus floor elevation (TSFE) with simultaneous implant placement were included in this retrospective cohort study. Radiographic assessment was used to categorize the implants into three groups based on apical implant bone height (ABH): ≤ 0 mm, < 2 mm, or ≥ 2 mm. The implant survival rate, peri-implant marginal bone loss (MBL) during short-term (1-3 years) and mid- to long-term (4-7 years) follow-up, and clinical parameters were used to evaluate the effect of implant apex coverage after TSFE. RESULTS: Group 1 had 56 implants (ABH ≤ 0 mm), group 2 had 123 implants (ABH > 0 mm, but < 2 mm), and group 3 had 85 implants (ABH ≥ 2 mm). There was no significant difference in the implant survival rate between groups 2 and 3 compared to group 1 (p = 0.646, p = 0.824, respectively). The MBL during short-term and mid- to long-term follow-up indicated that apex coverage could not be considered a risk factor. Furthermore, apex coverage did not have a significant effect on other clinical parameters. CONCLUSIONS: Despite limitations, our study found that implant apex coverage by the bone graft, including exposure and coverage levels less than or greater than 2 mm, did not significantly affect implant survival, short-term or mid- to long-term MBL, or peri-implant soft tissue outcomes. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Based on 1- to 7-year data, the study suggests that implant apical exposure and coverage levels of less than or greater than 2 mm bone graft are both valid options for TSFE cases.

RESUMO

Urban vulnerability is evident when highly complex flood risks overlap with diverse cities, and it is important to enhance the resilience of cities to flood shocks. In this study, a sponge city resilience assessment system is established considering engineering, environmental and social indicators, and the grey relational analysis method (GRA) is used to quantify sponge city resilience. At the same time, a multi-objective optimization model is established based on the three dimensions of water ecological environment, drainage safety, and waterlogging safety. The optimal configuration of grey-green infrastructure is weighed by combining the ideal point method, aiming to ensure that cities effectively reduce flood risk through the optimal configuration scheme. Taking the Xiaozhai area in Xi'an as the study area, the evaluation results show that the grey relational degree (GRD) of the resilience indexes of the original scheme is between 0.390 and 0.661 under the seven different return periods, while the optimization scheme ranges from 0.648 to 0.765, with the best sponge city resilience at a return period of 2a. Compared with the original scheme, the optimized sponge city resilience level increases from level II to nearly level I in the low return period and from level IV to level II in the high return period, indicating that city's ability to cope with waterlogging and pollution is enhanced significantly. Besides, the main factor affecting the sponge city resilience is the runoff control rate, followed by pollutant load reduction rate, which can provide a methodological framework for the assessment and improvement of sponge city resilience.

RESUMO

This study performed a comprehensive investigation of Hyperici Perforati Herba polysaccharide (HPHP) regarding the development and optimization of extraction methods, elucidation of structure and characteristics, and determination of antioxidant activities. An ultrasonic-assisted extraction method, which offered advantages in terms of the extraction yield and energy efficiency, was developed by response surface analysis. The following optimum conditions were determined: a crushing degree at 65 mesh, ultrasonic time at 50 min and temperature of 43 °C. Through enzyme-mediated deproteination via the Sevag method, activated carbon depigmentation, and DEAE-52 and Sephadex G-100 column elution, three HPHPs were obtained, and their monosaccharides mainly included mannose, galactose, glucose and arabinose. The molar weights were 8.347, 1.199 and 22.426 kDa, respectively. The HPHP structures were an amorphous aggregate of spherical-like shapes with a rough surface of pores and crevices, which presented characteristic Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of polysaccharides. Their main glucosidic linkage is the α-type configuration. Moreover, HPHPs exhibited strong scavenging activity for DPPH·, ABTS·+, OH· and O2·- radicals; good ferric reducing power; and effective protection against oxidative damage in human cells. Overall, the results of this work underpinned a fundamental understanding of HPHPs, thus providing a potential antioxidant for further research and development.

RESUMO

Implemented in the frequent extreme rainstorms, aggravation of non-point source pollution, and complex drainage system of urban built-up area, sponge facility practices often intertwine with a very large number of hydro-environmental and socio-economic considerations and constraints. Due to the lack of basic and measured data, fragmented engineering design, more systematic and strategic approaches to address this multi-scale, and multi-parameter problem of practice allocation should be planned and optimized. In this study, a practical quantitative calculation method of stormwater regulation capacity in urban built-up areas is proposed. The details are as follows: the sub-catchment areas are divided by using the drainage pipe section editing function of Auto CAD and the regional analysis function of ArcGIS, and the stormwater regulation capacity in study area to be reconstructed is divided into four grades to define the water-sensitive areas according to the comprehensive runoff coefficient (α), which were excellent (α < 0.6), good (0.6 ≤ α < 0.7), medium (0.7 ≤ α < 0.8), and poor (α ≥ 0.8). The stormwater regulation capacity of green spaces is determined by empirical model calculation and soil moisture hydrograph field measurement. The measured soil saturated hydraulic conductivity in the study area was about 110 mm/h. The drainage capacity of the pipe networks was determined by the length of the overloaded pipe section. Under the conditions of 10a and 50a rainfall return period and 3-h rainfall duration simulated by SWMM, the length of the overloaded pipe section accounts for 33.0% and 40.8% of the total, respectively. Based on the identification of water-sensitive areas in urban high-density built-up areas, the quantitative calculation method of stormwater runoff regulation capacity was constructed through the calculation of the coupling coordination degree of "source-midway-terminal" infrastructures and the layout of storage tanks in the overloaded pipe section. These can estimate the current situation of stormwater regulation capacity of different sizes in urban built-up areas and formulate the optimized planning scheme of sponge reconstruction projects.

RESUMO

K-ion batteries (KIBs) have been considered as appealing alternatives to Li ion batteries due to the high abundance of K, their high working voltages, and allowing the use of mature LIB technology. Thus far, anode materials that can meet the rigorous requirements of KIBs are still rather rare. Here, we have identified a desirable anode material, a metallic C3NS monolayer with high stability, a high storage capacity of 980 mAh/g, a low diffusion barrier of 0.24 eV, and a low open-circuit voltage of 0.36 V, through first-principles calculations. Metallic C3NSKn (n = 1-3) can ensure a high electron conductivity during the charge/discharge process. Valence electrons of the N atom in a triangular bipyramid configuration favor the formation of a planar edge-sharing hexagonal C4N2 unit and delocalized π bonding with C 2p electrons. The lone pair electrons of the S atom induce strong interactions with K atoms, facilitating storage capacity. These interesting properties make the C3NS monolayer a promising anode for KIBs.

RESUMO

Purposes: We aimed to characterize the USH2A genotypic spectrum in a Chinese cohort and provide a detailed genetic profile for Chinese patients with USH2A-IRD. Methods: We designed a retrospective study wherein a total of 1,334 patients diagnosed with IRD were included as a study cohort, namely 1,278 RP and 56 USH patients, as well as other types of IEDs patients and healthy family members as a control cohort. The genotype-phenotype correlation of all participants with USH2A variant was evaluated. Results: Etiological mutations in USH2A, the most common cause of RP and USH, were found in 16.34% (n = 218) genetically solved IRD patients, with prevalences of 14.87% (190/1,278) and 50% (28/56). After bioinformatics and QC processing, 768 distinct USH2A variants were detected in all participants, including 136 disease-causing mutations present in 665 alleles, distributed in 5.81% of all participants. Of these 136 mutations, 43 were novel, nine were founder mutations, and two hot spot mutations with allele count ≥10. Furthermore, 38.5% (84/218) of genetically solved USH2A-IRD patients were caused by at least one of both c.2802T>G and c.8559-2 A>G mutations, and 36.9% and 69.6% of the alleles in the RP and USH groups were truncating, respectively. Conclusion: USH2A-related East Asian-specific founder and hot spot mutations were the major causes for Chinese RP and USH patients. Our study systematically delineated the genotype spectrum of USH2A-IRD, enabled accurate genetic diagnosis, and provided East Asian and other ethnicities with baseline data of a Chinese origin, which would better serve genetic counseling and therapeutic targets selection.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To expand the mutation spectrum of patients with familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) disease. PARTICIPANTS: 74 probands (53 families and 21 sporadic probands) with familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) disease and their available family members (n = 188) were recruited for sequencing. METHODS: Panel-based targeted screening was performed on all subjects. Before sanger sequencing, variants of LRP5, NDP, FZD4, TSPAN12, ZNF408, KIF11, RCBTB1, JAG1, and CTNNA1 genes were verified by a series of bioinformatics tools and genotype-phenotype co-segregation analysis. RESULTS: 40.54% (30/74) of the probands were sighted to possess at least one etiological mutation of the nine FEVR-causative genes. The etiological mutation detection rate was 37.74% (20/53) in family-attainable probands while 47.62% (10/21) in sporadic cases. The diagnosis rate of patients in the early-onset subgroup (≤5 years old, 45.4%) is higher than that of the children or adolescence-onset subgroup (6-16 years old, 42.1%) and the late-onset subgroup (≥17 years old, 39.4%). A total of 36 etiological mutations were identified in this study, comprising 26 novel mutations and 10 reported mutations. LRP5 was the most prevalent mutant gene among the 36 mutation types with a percentage of 41.67% (15/36). Followed by FZD4 (10/36, 27.78%), TSPAN12 (5/36, 13.89%), NDP (4/36, 11.11%), KIF11 (1/36, 2.78%), and RCBTB1 (1/36, 2.78%). Among these mutations, 63.89% (23/36) were missense mutations, 25.00% (9/36) were frameshift mutations, 5.56% (2/36) were splicing mutations, 5.56% (2/36) were nonsense mutations. Moreover, the clinical pathogenicity of these variants was defined according to American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) and genomics guidelines: 41.67% (15/36) were likely pathogenic variants, 27.78% (10/36) pathogenic variants, 30.55% (11/36) variants of uncertain significance. No etiological mutations discovered in the ZNF408, JAG1, and CTNNA1 genes in this FEVR cohort. CONCLUSIONS: We systematically screened nine FEVR disease-associated genes in a cohort of 74 Chinese probands with FEVR disease. With a detection rate of 40.54%, 36 etiological mutations of six genes were authenticated in 30 probands, including 26 novel mutations and 10 reported mutations. The most prevalent mutated gene is LRP5, followed by FZD4, TSPAN12, NDP, KIF11, and RCBTB1. In total, a de novo mutation was confirmed. Our study significantly clarified the mutation spectrum of variants bounded up to FEVR disease.

RESUMO

Edible oil provides essential nutrients for human body and plays a very important role in human health. Looking for edible oil resource plants with high content and high-quality oil plays an important role in ensuring the adequate supply of edible oil. Peony seeds oil (PSO) was approved as a new resource food and became an edible vegetable oil for its rich content of fatty acids, total unsaturated fatty acids, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. In addition, PSO also contains high contents of squalene, tocopherol, phytosterol and plant polyphenol. PSO has been reported to present various health benefits including antioxidation, blood lipid reduction, hepatoprotection, immunity regulation, blood sugar control, neuroprotection, anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic activity, therapeutic effects on scald, uvioresistant effects and so on. Toxicity studies showed PSO had great safety without any toxic and side effects, and could be processed to produce PSO microcapsule, microemulsion, nanoemulsion gel, biscuit, daily chemical products, soft capsule and other high value-added-products. Therefore, the present article aims to summarize the research findings regarding to the nutritional and phytochemistry profiles, the extraction methods, health benefits, safety and the high value-added-products of PSO. These informations laid a good foundation for the in-depth research and development of PSO, and also proved that PSO was a high-quality edible vegetable oil with health value. With the deepening of research, the studies on PSO will be more and more comprehensive. It believes that PSO will become an important functional edible oil, and will be more widely used as an important functional food and linolenic acid supplement.

RESUMO

Recent studies have indicated the critical influence of gut microbiota on the occurrence of obesity. There is a significant risk of obesity in people with schizophrenia. This work proposed that the disorder of gut microbiota in patients with schizophrenia was based on microbial enterotypes. Ninety-seven patients with schizophrenia and 69 matched health controls were eligible. The fresh feces of all the subjects were collected and used to complete 16S rRNA sequence. Statistical analysis was performed to identify the intestinal type of gut microbiota and analyze their potential effects on metabolic function. The patients with enterotype-P had a higher BMI than that of the others. Several differences in the gut microbes of enterotype-P were found between the patients and the controls. Proteobacteria and Firmicutes had significantly higher abundance in the patients' group with enterotype-P. The Bacteroidetes had higher abundance in health controls with enterotype-P. Different metabolic pathways of the microbiota with the enterotype-P were identified in the subjects categorized in different BMI intervals. The schizophrenia patients had a significantly higher BMI than that of health controls. The patients with enterotype-P had a higher BMI. Therefore, the enterotype-P might have a critical influence on a variety of metabolic pathways to disturb the metabolism of glucose and lipid in human body.

RESUMO

In order to improve the prediction effect of sports training performance and improve the effect of sports training, this paper classifies the sports training image area, refines the image into different areas, finds suspicious areas, and completes the error prediction. Moreover, this paper calculates the regional similarity of sports training images in the fully connected layer of the convolutional neural network and introduces the local linear weighting method for analysis. In addition, this paper gives a certain weight to each prediction point near the area to be predicted and selects the suspicious area feature based on the multievaluation standard fusion method. Finally, this paper combines the convolutional neural network algorithm to construct a sports training performance prediction system to improve the effect of sports training and design experiments to verify the system proposed in this paper. From the experimental research results, we can see that the sports training performance prediction system based on the convolutional neural network proposed in this paper has good practical effects.
