Enhancing the Autonomy of Establishing Indicator Informatization.

Quality indicators are essential for hospital management, clinical decision-making, and patient care. In today's technologically advanced era, it is increasingly critical to derive effective statistical data analysis from intricate datasets. However, the administrative department within our hospital often fails to prioritize information needs due to limited resources. Consequently, the collection of indicator data continues to rely on paper-based operations.To tackle common issues in collecting indicator data, such as incomplete or inaccurate data, time-consuming aggregation and statistical analysis, and a lack of timeliness, we have implemented appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) tools. We provide educational training to empower users to create visual templates for indicators that are tailored to their specific requirements. This approach saves time, reduces data duplication, and minimizes writing errors. It enhances supervisors' understanding of the current situation and future prospects in terms of data analysis and timeliness. Ultimately, this initiative improves healthcare quality and management effectiveness.

Constructing an Automated Quality Control Indicator Dashboard by Linking Cloud-Based Forms with POWER BI.

This paper examines the use of quality control indicator audits in healthcare services to identify potential risk issues and improve the quality of medical care. A multi-stage approach was adopted to establish audit tools. This involved creating a cloud-based assessment form using Microsoft Form, developing Power BI dashboards connected to databases, and creating a mobile application for on-the-go auditing and result retrieval. Mobile application has replaced the need to search for and print audit forms, reducing paper usage. Automated audit results are linked to Power BI dashboards, significantly reducing the time spent on manual documentation and chart analysis, saving an average of 40 minutes per audit indicator. The paper proposes that the dashboard's real-time and automated features assist managers in promptly identifying potential issues and taking necessary intervention and guidance measures. These findings emphasise the significance of quality control indicator audits in enhancing the quality and safety of healthcare services.

Building an Integrated Radiotherapy Information System to Improve Patient Safety.

In our hospital, the medical records of patients receiving tumor radiotherapy were paper-base. The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated radiotherapy information system to improve the quality and efficiency of treatment for patients with cancer. What's more, it's expected that the system can reduce time and errors caused by manual record.

Enhancing a Blood Transfusion Platform with Clinic Decision Support Component to Better Assure Patient Safety.

Blood transfusion is an important but complex and high-risky clinical procedure. Any error could cause serious injuries to patients. To better assure the procedure safety, we enhancing our home-made blood transfusion platform with new clinic decision support components to assure patient's identity and to inform clinicians of any event in time. So far, our transfusion incidence case has been reduced to 0 from 9 before the system implemented.

The Application of an Integrated IHCA Information System to Analysis the Related Indicators.

In-Hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) is a high risk of patient's safety issue in medical institutions, the incidence and patient's outcome of IHCA is an important indicator of ability of medical treatment and emergency medical quality of hospital. By building up the IHCA information system, we can save the time of typing and statistical data, save the consumption of paper and storage space, managers can view immediately data, track progress and confirm the correctness of the information, and Index values can be rendered immediately.

What makes nurses perceive differently on the usability of same system?

Kardex system is important to provide rapid instructions for individual nursing care so it is important to measure and understand user's perceived usability of that system in order to make correct improvement. We evaluated 51 nurses' perceived ease to use and usefulness of the system and found the perceived usability could be affected by their computer skills, units, and shift report type.

Developing an usability-engineered Excel-based nursing administrative e-form generator.

Head nurses in hospitals always need to do lots of administrative work and are burdened with heavy information load. The purpose of this study is to develop a usability-engineered nursing administrative e-form generator to assist them to easily design a simple management information system to collect and analyze data. System was designed using Excel VBA. This system contains form generator, data collection and analysis is easy for healthcare professionals without computer literacy to operate.

Are Google or Yahoo a good portal for getting quality healthcare web information?

We examined the ranks of 50 award-won health websites in Taiwan against the search results of two popular portals with 6 common diseases. The results showed that the portal search results do not rank the quality web sites reasonably.
