RESUMO

Ester materials have become a significant topic in ecological restoration because of their degradability and lack of pollution. However, these artificial materials have issues such as high resource consumption and high cost. Therefore, finding a scientific substitute for ester materials is crucial to reduce costs. This study proposes the use of weathered red-bed soil to partially replace ester materials. Orthogonal coupled compounding and ecological effect tests were performed to analyze the soil improvement mechanism based on the mineral composition, soil structure, and electrical conductivity properties of the weathered red-bed soil. The experimental findings indicated that the soil modified using ester materials exhibited improved strength, water retention, and aeration owing to changes in the soil structure. Plant germination and height increased by 55% and 37 mm, respectively, when using a ratio of 15 g/m2 absorbent ester material, 2.5 g/m2 adhesive ester material, and 5% weathered red-bed soil. Through this approach, the amount of ester material to be used could be further reduced by 75%. The weathered red-bed soil offers improved ecological effects by altering the physical, mechanical, and hydraulic properties of the soil structure. This study presents a theoretical foundation for ecological conservation using weathered red-bed soil as a substitute for certain ester materials.

RESUMO

Global warming has seriously disturbed the Earth's ecosystems, and in this context, Asian honeybee (Apis cerana) has experienced a dramatic decline in recent decades. Here, we examined both direct and indirect effects of climate change on A. cerana through ecological niche modeling of A. cerana, and its disease pathogens (i.e., Chinese sacbrood virus and Melissococcus plutonius) and enemies (i.e., Galleria mellonella and Vespa mandarinia). Ecological niche modeling predicts that climate change will increase the potential suitability of A. cerana, but it will also cause some of the original habitat areas to become unsuitable. Outbreak risks of Chinese sacbrood disease and European Foulbrood will increase dramatically, while those of G. mellonella and V. mandarinia will decrease only slightly. Thus, climate change will produce an unfavorable situation for even maintaining some A. cerana populations in China in the future. Genetic structure analyses showed that the A. cerana population from Hainan Island had significant genetic differentiation from that of the mainland, and there was almost no gene flow between the 2, suggesting that urgent measures are needed to protect the unique genetic resources there. Through taking an integrated planning technique with the Marxan approach, we optimized conservation planning, and identified potential nature reserves (mainly in western Sichuan and southern Tibet) for conservation of A. cerana populations. Our results can provide insights into the potential impact of climate change on A. cerana, and will help to promote the conservation of the keystone honeybee in China and the long-term sustainability of its ecosystem services.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Adipose stem cell-derived exosomes (ADSC-EXO) and botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) individually showed a therapeutic effect on skin wound repair. AIMS: This study investigated their synergistic effect on promoting skin wound healing in vitro and in vivo and the underlying molecular events. METHODS: ADSCs were isolated from Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats to obtain ADSC-EXO by ultrafiltration and ultracentrifugation and were confirmed using nanoparticle tracking analysis and transmission electron microscopy. Human skin fibroblasts (HSF) were cultured and treated with or without ADSC-EXO, BTX-A, or their combination. Changes in cell phenotypes and protein expression were analyzed using different in vitro assays, and a rat skin wound model was used to assess their in vivo effects. RESULTS: The isolated ADSC-EXO from primarily cultured ADSCs had a circular vesicle shape with a 30-180 nm diameter. Treatment of HSF with ADSC-EXO and/or BTX-A significantly accelerated HSF migration in vitro and skin wound healing in a rat model. Moreover, ADSC-EXO plus BTX-A treatment dramatically induced VEGFA expression but reduced COL III and COL I levels in vivo. ADSC-EXO and/or BTX-A treatment significantly upregulated TGF-ß3 expression on Day 16 after surgery but downregulated TGF-ß1 expression, suggesting that ADSC-EXO plus BTX-A promoted skin wound healing and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration. CONCLUSIONS: The ADSC-EXO plus BTX-A treatment demonstrated a synergistic effect on skin wound healing through upregulation of VEGF expression and the TGF-ß3/TGF-ß1 and COL III/COL I ratio.

RESUMO

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a rare but potentially devastating complication in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients. Myelosuppression-related antibiotics should be used cautiously in patients with hematological malignancies, especially those undergoing bone marrow transplantation and receiving bone marrow suppression therapy. Although linezolid has become the recommended drug for severe TB, its hematological toxicity is still an obstacle to its clinical application. Contezolid is a new representative of oxazolidinones in clinical development, showing superior anti-infection efficacy, but there have been no reports on the treatment of post-HSCT TB. Case presentation: We reported a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia suffered from pulmonary TB infection after HSCT. During anti-TB treatment, the patient had a poor response to linezolid-containing regimen, and developed side effects such as gingival bleeding and thrombocytopenia, so the administration was switched to contezolid. After 15 days of continuous treatment, the patient's platelet increased to 58×109/L, and he was discharged in stable condition. During subsequent anti-TB treatment with contezolid for more than 7 months, the platelets remained stable, and no hematological adverse reactions and no symptoms of peripheral neuropathy were observed. Moreover, repeat imaging showed that the bilateral lung lesions were significantly reduced, indicating a good outcome for the patient. Conclusion: This was the first successful case of post-HSCT TB patients treated with contezolid-containing antibiotic management strategies, which exhibited remarkable efficacy and good safety in this deadly disease.

RESUMO

Drawing on ecosystem theory, which is based on the interaction of family environment, individual characteristics, and social adaptation, this study aimed to examine the effects of parenting style on emotion management skills and the mediating roles of self-control and peer interactions among Chinese children aged 3-6 years. Some studies have investigated the relationship between parenting style and emotion management skills. However, research on the underlying mechanisms is still deficient. A sample of 2,303 Chinese children completed the PSDQ-Short Version, the Self-Control Teacher Rating Questionnaire, the Peer Interaction Skills Scale, and the Emotion Management Skills Questionnaire. The results show that: (1) Authoritarian parenting style negatively predicted children's emotion management skills, self-control, and peer interactions; (2) Authoritative parenting style positively predicted children's emotion management skills, self-control, and peer interactions; (3) Structural equation models indicated that self-control and peer interactions partially mediated the effects of authoritarian and authoritative parenting styles. The parenting style of Chinese children aged 3-6 years is related to emotion management skills, and self-control and peer interactions have chain mediating effects between parenting style and children's emotion management skills. These results provide further guidance for the prevention and intervention of emotional and mental health problems in children.

RESUMO

Background: In recent years, the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use has been widely studied by scholars, but the research conclusions on the relationship between them are not consistent. Some studies report that childhood trauma and problematic Internet use are significantly correlated. However, others believe that there is a weak correlation between them. So the relationship between them needs to be studied further. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use, and the effects of some moderating variables on both for students in Mainland China. Methods: This study followed the requirements of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement for literature screening. We searched the related studies on childhood trauma and problematic Internet use in Mainland China from January 2009 to November 2022 from CNKI, Wanfang Data, Chongqing VIP Information Co., Ltd. (VIP), Baidu scholar, ProQuest dissertations, SAGE Online Journals, Elsevier SDOL, Taylor & Francis, Springer, Web of Science, Google Scholar, EBSCO, Medline, Scopus Database, PubMed Central, Embase, The Cochrane Library, PsycINFO, CMA 3.0 was used to analyse the overall effect and test the moderating effect. Results: Among the papers included in the meta-analysis in this study, 31 papers reflected the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use, involving 52,503 subjects, and the sample size ranged from 388 to 16,130. This relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use can be considered as a moderate correlation (r = 0.281, 95%CI[0.221, 0.338], p < 0.001). The results showed that the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use was affected by different problematic Internet use measures. Meanwhile, meta-regression demonstrated that the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use was moderated by survey's year. Specifically, the correlation coefficient between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use also increases with increasing year. However, the relationship between childhood trauma and problematic Internet use was not affected by the region, grade, childhood trauma measures, publication source. Conclusion: Childhood trauma is closely related to problematic Internet use. In order to reduce problematic Internet use, corresponding prevention and intervention measures should be taken.

RESUMO

In order to explore the differential metabolites between fresh and frozen-thawed semen of Guanzhong dairy goats, semen samples were collected by artificial vagina method, and divided into fresh and frozen-thawed semen groups, with six replicates in each group. Liquid Chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technology was used to detect semen metabolites in both groups. The metabolites were analyzed and identified by the combination of multidimensional statistical analysis, namely principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) and univariate statistical analysis, Differential metabolites were identified according to One-step Solution for Identification of Small Molecules in Metabolomics Studies (OSI/SMMS) combined with Human Metabolome Database (HMDB), Lipidmaps and Metlin and the metabolic pathways of different metabolites were enriched and analyzed by Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) database. The results showed that a total of 53 differential metabolites were detected in fresh and frozen-thawed semen groups, of which 10 metabolites were significantly up-regulated (P < 0.05) and 43 were significantly down-regulated (P < 0.05). Most of the metabolites belonged to lipids and lipid-like molecules, organic acids and their derivatives, organic oxygen compounds, etc. According to the functional enrichment analysis of the top twenty differential metabolites in the KEGG database, significant changes occurred in linoleic acid metabolism pathway out of total eleven pathways observed. These differential metabolites can be used as metabolic markers of sperm cryo-injury in dairy goats.

RESUMO

This study explores the effects of authoritarian parenting styles on children's peer interactions, an aspect often overlooked in the existing literature that primarily focuses on family environmental factors. Data was collected through anonymous child-report questionnaires completed by 2,303 parents and teachers of children aged 3-6 years. The findings reveal that (1) authoritarian parenting significantly hinders children's peer interactions; (2) the negative effects of authoritarian parenting differ based on gender, age, and family composition: (a) girls generally exhibit higher peer interactions than boys, with authoritarian parenting having a stronger impact on boys' peer interactions; (b) peer interactions increase significantly with age, and younger children are more susceptible to the negative effects of authoritarian parenting; (c) children with siblings have higher peer interactions, and authoritarian parenting style has a greater influence on their interactions compared to only children. The study discusses potential reasons and provides practical suggestions for families to make informed parenting style choices based on these findings.

RESUMO

Our general purpose was to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for the use of exosomes (EXOs) that have high levels of CD47 as stable and efficient drug carriers. Thus, we prepared EXOs from adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (ADMSCs) that had high levels of CD47 (EXOsCD47) and control EXOs (without CD47), and then compared their immune escape in vivo and their resistance to phagocytosis in vitro. Nanoflow cytometry was used to determine the CD47 level in these EXOs, and the amount of EXOsCD47 that remained in rat plasma at 3 h after intraperitoneal injection. Phagocytosis of the EXOs was also determined using in vitro rat macrophage bone marrow (RMA-BM) experiments. Our in vitro results showed that macrophages ingested significantly more control EXOs than EXOsCD47 (p < 0.01), with confirmation by ultra-high-definition laser confocal microscopy. Consistently, our in vivo results showed that rats had 1.377-fold better retention of EXOsCD47 than control EXOs (p < 0.01). These results confirmed that these engineered EXOsCD47 had improved immune escape. Our results therefore verified that EXOsCD47 had increased immune evasion relative to control EXOs, and have potential for use as drug carriers.

RESUMO

There are phospholipase and yolk agglutinase in the seminal plasma of dairy goat. The existence of these enzymes will hydrolyze lecithin in yolk into lysophosphatides and cause the change of pH value of diluent, resulting in toxic and side effects on sperm. In order to explore the effect of bovine seminal plasma replacing different doses of dairy goat seminal plasma (0%, 25%, 50%, 100%) on semen freezing quality of Guanzhong dairy goat, we used computer-aided sperm analysis (CASA) system, specific fluorescent probe detection technology, hypo osmotic swelling test (HOST), oxidation index determination and in vivo fertilization verification test to study the semen cryopreservation of Guanzhong dairy goat. The results showed that if we used bovine seminal plasma instead of 100% dairy goat seminal plasma, the sperm motility, plasma membrane functionality and acrosome integrity rate were the highest after thawing, reaching 67.04%, 38.12% and 68.83% respectively, which was significantly higher than that of other groups (P < 0.05); In terms of oxidation indexes, the values of SOD and GSH-PX in sperm of dairy goats were 199.78 U/mL and 133.55 U/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than those in other groups (P < 0.05), and the values of ROS and MDA were 397.58 U/mL and 5.16 nmol/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in other groups (P < 0.05); The results of artificial insemination also showed that using bovine seminal plasma instead of 100% of dairy goat seminal plasma could significantly improve the fertilization ability of sperm. The quality of frozen Guanzhong dairy goat sperm can be improved by using bovine seminal plasma instead of dairy goat seminal plasma and using bovine diluent.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: In the coming decades, geographical distribution patterns of farmland organisms may undergo drastic changes due to climate change, with significant implications for global food security. In China, Rhopalosiphum maidis and its spread of sugarcane mosaic virus (ScMV) can become an increasingly serious threat to maize (Zea mays) production. We conducted ecological niche modeling for Z. mays, R. maidis, and ScMV under current and future (2041-2060 and 2081-2100) climate scenarios by using MaxEnt software to explore changes in this system. RESULTS: The Heihe-Tengchong line (an imaginary separation line of human population density) can divide China into main (east of the line) and secondary (west of the line) habitats for the three species. With climate change, rapid expansion in suitable areas is projected for ScMV and the aphid vector R. maidis. Taking species interactions into consideration, our overlaying analyses show that most areas east of the Heihe-Tengchong line (optimal for maize and suitable for R. maidis) will become increasingly highly suitable for ScMV, suggesting that the prevention and control of this plant virus and its aphid vector in China's main maize-growing areas (e.g. northeast) will become an increasing challenge in the future. CONCLUSION: Climate change will profoundly affect ScMV-vector-maize interactions, which may contribute favorably to invasion of this virus into new areas. Our comprehensive and in-depth analyses on shifts in this multi-species system under climate change provide useful and insightful information for devising strategies for the prevention and control of plant viruses and aphid vectors on maize in the future. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

RESUMO

Paired-like homeodomain transcription factor 2 (PITX2), a major driver of multiple tissue development, is a transcription factor that regulates gene expression in organisms. However, it is unknown if PITX2 regulates goat granulosa cell (GC) steroidogenesis. Therefore, we investigated the role and mechanism of PITX2 in GC steroidogenesis. In our study, PITX2 significantly facilitated the secretion level of estrogen and progesterone through increasing CYP11A1, CYP19A1, and STAR mRNA and protein expressions in GCs. Furthermore, PITX2 participated in the WNT pathway, enhancing the production of E2 and P4 in GCs. PITX2 in GCs increased the DVL-1 and CTNNB1 expression, involved in the WNT/ß-catenin signaling pathway related to steroidogenesis. Moreover, GC steroidogenesis-related gene translation was decreased by CTNNB1-siRNA but enhanced when transfected with PITX2. PITX2 regulates secretion of E2 and P4 from GCs via the WNT/ß-catenin pathway and alters GC proliferation and steroidogenesis. These findings will help understand the role of PITX2 in goat ovarian follicular development and oocyte maturation.

RESUMO

Cynomorium songaricum Rupr. (CSR), an edible and medicinal material, is widely cultivated in desert regions of Eastern and Western Asia, Europe, and North Africa. Ten glycoside constituents 1-10 including one new songaricumone A (1) were isolated from the fresh C. songaricum. Their structures were elucidated by comprehensive NMR data analysis. Further, various antioxidant effects of isolated compounds (1-3 and 5-10) were comprehensively and comparatively investigated. In conclusion, it is obvious that different glycosides vary significantly toward different sources of free radicals, which are attributed to different aglycones and substituted positions of sugar unit in structures.

RESUMO

In the process of cryopreservation of dairy goat semen, it will face many threats such as oxidative damage, which will affect the motility and plasma membrane function of sperm. As an endogenous antioxidant in animals, glutathione (GSH) can significantly improve the quality of thawed sperm when added to the frozen diluent of semen of pigs and cattle. In this study, different concentration gradients of GSH [0 mmol/L (control), 1, 2, 3, 4 mmol/L] were added to the frozen diluent of Guanzhong dairy goat semen. By detecting the sperm motility parameters, acrosome intact rate and plasma membrane intact rate after thawing, the effect of GSH on the cryopreservation of dairy goat semen was explored. Sperm motility parameters were measured with the computer-aided sperm analysis (CASA) system (total power, TM; forward power, PM; linearity, LIN; average path speed, VAP; straight line speed, VSL; curve speed, VCL; beat cross frequency, BCF). The sperm acrosome integrity rate after thawing was detected by a specific fluorescent probe (isothiocyanate-labeled peanut agglutinin, FITC-PNA), and the sperm plasma membrane integrity rate after thawing was detected by the hypotonic sperm swelling (HOST) method. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) kit, malondialdehyde (MDA) kit, superoxide dismutase (SOD) kit, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) kit were used to detect various antioxidant indicators of thawed sperm. in vitro fertilization experiment was used to verify the effect of adding glutathione on sperm fertilization and embryo development. The results showed that when the concentration of glutathione was 2 mmol/l, the sperm viability, plasma membrane intact rate, and acrosome intact rate were the highest after thawing, reaching 62.14, 37.62, and 70.87% respectively, and they were all significantly higher. In terms of antioxidant indexes; the values of SOD and GSH-PX were 212.60 U/ml and 125.04 U/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the control group; The values of ROS and MDA were 363.05 U/ml and 7.02 nmol/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than the control group. The addition of 2 mmol/L glutathione significantly improves the fertilization ability of sperm. In short, adding 2 mmol/l glutathione to the semen diluent can improve the quality of frozen Guanzhong dairy goat sperm.

RESUMO

Chemosensory systems are considered to play an important role in host plant selection in herbivorous insects. However, few studies have focused on chemosensory proteins (CSPs) for aphid host-location mechanisms. The roles of CSPs in searching for different Poaceae species (wheat, barley, triticale, maize and sorghum) were tested in Rhopalosiphum padi, an important cereal pest. The olfactometer assays showed that R. padi responds to plant odors. Seven R. padi CSP genes were identified. Influence of aphid morph, tissue and starvation state on expression patterns of CSPs was evaluated. Expression levels of CSP1, CSP4, CSP5 and CSP6 in winged aphids were significantly higher than those in wingless ones. Transcription levels of four genes (CSP1, CSP4, CSP5 and CSP6) were relatively higher in the head with antennae, and the four genes tended to be upregulated following starvation. Silencing of three CSPs (CSP4, CSP5 and CSP6) altered aphid host-location behavior in response to the five different host plants tested. Three volatile compounds of host plants (octanal, [E]-2-hexenol and linalool) have significant attraction to winged R. padi according to the four-arm olfactometer tests. Molecular docking predicted hydrogen bonding sites which played key roles in the binding of CSP4, CSP5 and CSP6 with volatile compounds. Knockdown of CSP4 or CSP5 significantly decreased the staying time of R. padi in the arms with octanal. However, knockdown of CSP6 could not affect the response of R. padi to octanal. These results bring evidence for the involvement of three CSPs in R. padi host-location behavior.

RESUMO

In the sensitive and complex chemo-sensation system of insects, chemosensory proteins (CSPs) can facilitate the transfer of chemical information and play important roles for variable behaviors of insects. We cloned the chemosensory protein AmalCSP5 from antennae of the apple buprestid beetle (Agrilus mali Matsumura), a serious invasive pest of wild apple trees. Expression profiling showed that AmalCSP5 was expressed in various tissues, suggesting its significance in multiple physiological activities and behaviors of A. mali. AmalCSP5 was preferentially expressed in female antennae and male abdomens. AmalCSP5 was able to bind a variety of test volatiles, especially alcohols and esters. AmalCSP5 exhibited good binding affinity for all five test secondary compounds (i.e., procyanidin, phlorizin, kaemferol, chlorogenic acid, and rutin), suggesting its preferential binding abilities to nonvolatile host plant secondary metabolites and critical roles in gustatory perception of nonvolatiles. Tyr27 and Ser69 of AmalCSP5 could form hydrogen bonds with hexyl benzoate and hexyl hexanoate, respectively. Procyanidin, the best ligand among all test compounds, could form hydrogen bonds with three amino acid residues (i.e., Arg7, Leu8, and Lys41) of AmalCSP5. Thus, high ligand binding affinity for AmalCSP5 seemed to be dependent mainly on the formation of hydrogen bonds. The putative key amino acid residues of AmalCSP5 can be used as molecular targets for designing and screening new attractants and repellents for A. mali. Our results provide insights into binding interactions of AmalCSP5 with volatile and nonvolatile ligands, and a firm basis for developing eco-friendly management strategies of A. mali.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Volatiles from host plants are an important source of insect pest attractants and repellents. Insect odorant binding proteins (OBPs) have been widely characterized, but the molecular binding dynamics and underlying mechanisms are still not well understood. Thus, we characterized binding characteristics of AmalOBP8 from the apple buprestid beetle (Agrilus mali Matsumura), an unprecedented serious threat to rare apple germplasm resources and local ecosystems. RESULTS: Fluorescence studies demonstrated that the quenching mechanism was clearly static. AmalOBP8 was found to bind with both volatiles at single independent sites. Negative thermodynamic parameters suggested that binding interactions between AmalOBP8 and both volatiles could occur spontaneously. Hydrogen bonding was the key force in AmalOBP8's binding to geranyl formate, for which the amino acid residue Trp106 played a critical role in the binding pocket. Multiple Leu residues in AmalOBP8 created a strong hydrophobic environment, and formed the binding pocket for (Z)-3-hexenyl hexanoate. Compared to classic OBPs, in addition to lack of one disulfide bridge, AmalOBP8 had a small α-helix (α7) at the C-terminus, resulting in greater flexibility and adaptability for this protein to bind with different compound molecules. CONCLUSION: Key residues of AmalOBP8 in binding interactions with plant volatiles were clarified. AmalOPB8 had a large ligand binding spectrum and great flexibility in binding with plant volatiles, providing good molecular targets for screening insect attractants and repellents. Our results can promote understanding of insects' perception of various odorants, and establish a foundation for discovery of new pest control agents. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry.

RESUMO

Insect carboxylesterases are major enzymes involved in metabolism of xenobiotics including insecticides. Two carboxylesterase genes, CarE001A and CarE001H, were cloned from the destructive agricultural pest Helicoverpa armigera. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction showed that CarE001A and CarE001H were predominantly expressed in fat body and midgut, respectively; developmental expression analyses found that the expression levels of both CarEs were significantly higher in fifth-instar larvae than in other life stages. Recombinant CarE001A and CarE001H expressed in the Escherichia coli exhibited high enzymatic activity toward α-naphthyl acetate. Inhibition assays showed that organophosphates had strong inhibition on CarEs activity compared to pyrethroids. Metabolism assays indicated that CarE001A and CarE001H were able to metabolize ß-cypermethrin and λ-cyhalothrin. Homology modeling and molecular docking analyses demonstrated that ß-cypermethrin could fit nicely into the active pocket of both carboxylesterases. These results suggested that CarE001A and CarE001H could play important roles in the detoxification of pyrehtroids in H. armigera.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the value of interferon-inducible protein 10 (IP-10) in the auxiliary diagnosis of tuberculosis and the judgment of the severity of disease. METHODS: From February, 2013 to February, 2017, a total of 193 patients with TB admitted in our hospital and 84 healthy control subjects were recruited consecutively. The peripheral blood plasma levels of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and IP-10 were detected using liquid phase chip (Luminex) technique. According to the number of lung fields affected by TB, the patients were divided into group A (with lesions in 1-2 lung fields), group B (3-4 lung fields) and group C (5-6 lung fields), The expressions of IFN-γ and IP-10 in 3 groups were compared. RESULTS: The plasma levels of IP-10 were significantly higher in TB patients than in the control subjects (P < 0.05), but IFN-γ levels were comparable between the two groups (P > 0.05). Among the TB patients, plasma IP-10 levels was the highest in group C (P < 0.05), and IFN-γ levels did not differ significantly among the 3 groups (P > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Plasma IP-10 has a certain reference value in the auxiliary diagnosis of active tuberculosis and the judgment of the severity of the disease.
