RESUMO

AIM: To study autoaggressive characteristics of spouses in families of men with alcohol dependence. MATERIAL AND METHODS: One hundred and twenty-five families, where a husband suffers from alcohol dependence, have been investigated. Suicidal and non-suicidal patterns of autoaggressive behavior as well as their predictors have been studied. The control group consisted of 62 families, where husbands were not alcohol dependent. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: It has been found that men with alcohol dependence tend to realize anivital programs through suicidal behavior and risky-victim behavioral modes. A history of a suicidal attempt was revealed in 32% of alcohol dependent men, a suicide attempt over the last two years in 12% that was considerably higher compared to the control group. The percentage in their wives was 16% and 7.2%, respectively. The suicide attempts in wives were due to 'prosuicidal' complex of emotions with the sense of shame, guilt and hopelessness. Gender differences in the ways of realization of suicidal attempts have been found. This finding can be used in addiction treatment.

RESUMO

The authors estimated fluorine compounds content of workplace air in electrolysis workshops of aluminium production, for various electrolysis technologies. The data cover results of physical and chemical analysis and material constitution of produced toxic dust complexes, urinary excretion levels of fluorine ion and fluorides accumulation in hair of aluminium production workers.

RESUMO

The authors presented data of chemical analytic control of chlorine compounds level in workplace air of vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride production, and biomonitoring results of vinyl chloride and 1.2-dichloroethane metabolite - thiodiacetic acid urinary level in workers of this production. Findings are exceeded hygienic norms on maximal concentrations of 1.2-dichloroethane in a workshop for vinyl chloride production from 1.0 to 2.85 MACs and of vinyl chloride in a workshop for polyvinyl chloride production from 2.06 to 5.52 MACs. Urinary levels of thiodiacetic acid were assessed in workers of vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride production in dependence on occupation, length of service and post-contact time.

RESUMO

AIM: To explore how alcoholism of the husband impacts the dynamics of the marriage. The authors assume and justify the existence of isolated clinical/phenomenological types of marriages in these families: with permanently closed, primarily and secondary opened marriage systems. MATERIAL AND METHODS: It has been examined 125 families with special questionnaire. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Demonstrated that no common scenario exists for spouses, in particular, for co-dependent reaction of the wife. Assessment of autoaggresive patterns, addictive and co-dependent characteristics of spouses in respect of the variants of marriage dynamics were presented. This is of importance for effective prevention and treatment both of addiction and suicide as well as significantly expands current theoretical conceptions on «alcohol¼ marriages in general and codependence phenomenon in particular.

RESUMO

The paper presents information about the content of benzo(a)pyrene in soil samples of petroleum products and the content of heavy metals (iron, copper, lead, arsenic, manganese, chromium, cadmium and mercury) in the soil and hair samples of children. Soil samples and hair were taken in October 2014 in the north-western part of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. The values obtained were compared with the approximately permissible levels and maximum allowable concentrations adopted in the Russian Federation. Levels are determined compounds in the soil in general do not exceed the allowable concentrations. In hair samples there was noted marked exceeding of the recommended values for zinc, copper, chromium and iron 10%, 16.7%, 83.3% and 100% samples, respectively. The cause of the high iron content in the hair samples may be due to the quality of consumed water, which is characterized by low mineralization and high iron content. Increased chromium content of more than 80% of the hair samples can be caused, as in the case of iron, the quality of water consumed, but also a high proportion of local foods in the diet of people, rich by chromium. A conducted study on the state of the environment in the village, away from areas of hydrocarbon production, indicates to the low importance of anthropogenic impact.

RESUMO

Ambient air of aluminium production appeared to contain over thirty pollutants. Identification and quantitative evaluation of these pollutants are very difficult. Nature of occurring mixtures and their physical and chemical aggregate state remain unclear. Topical problem is to expand a list of detectable components via contemporary chemical analytic studies.

RESUMO

The effect of suicidal activity on the auto-aggressive behavior and addictive behavior as well as on psychological traits has been studied in 125 men with alcoholic dependence. The presence of suicidal tendencies sharply increases the probability of various forms of non-suicidal auto-destructive behavior. This category of patients has specific personality-psychological features and the peculiar clinical presentation of the prior addictive disease.

RESUMO

The effect of the suicidal activity in men with alcohol dependence on suicidal indexes, personal-codependency and psychological specifics of their wives has been studied. It has been found that women married to suicidal men with alcohol dependence significantly more frequently demonstrate suicidal activity (a phenomenon of suicidal matrimonial comorbidity) compared to wives of "non-suicidal" men. They also reveal non-suicidal behavioral patterns more frequently and prosuicidal predictors are quite common in them. This contingent of women has high suicidal potential that needs special attention during the therapeutic work.
