[The assessment of the psychophysiological status of patients with duodenal peptic ulcer]. / Otsenka psikhofiziologicheskogo sostoianiia bol'nykh iazvennoi bolezn'iu dvenadtsatiperstnoi kishki.

Clinicopsychologic and psychophysiologic evaluation was done in 290 patients with duodenal ulcer during the stage of exacerbation. The results obtained suggest the levels of vegetative lability, anxiety and depression in the above patients to be significantly higher by comparison with those in healthy subjects. The degree of neuropsychic disorders depends upon the type of personal response to the illness which is greater in women than it is in men. Differentiated complex approach for the psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with duodenal ulcer permits dealing with their neuropsychic disorders and influencing their personal traits in a purposive manner, which consideration contributes to the improvement of the patients' soma and psyche.

[A differential approach to the correction of psychosomatic dysadaptation in patients with duodenal peptic ulcer]. / Differentsirovannyi podkhod k korrektsii psikhosomaticheskoi dizadaptatsii u bol'nykh iazvennoi bolezn'iu dvenadtsatiperstnoi kishki.

Studied were psychologic features of 169 patients with duodenal ulcer. Complexes were devised of differentiated psychotherapeutic treatment suitable for the revealed four variants of psychosomatic dysadaptation manifested by patients. Institution of complexes of psychotherapeutic treatment using electromagnetic radiation of the MWF range resulted in rapid healing of ulcerous lesion, sooner disappearance of the painful syndrome compared with the control group patients who had received medicamentous treatment only. By dispelling neurotic symptoms, psychotherapeutic complexes reestablish disrupted cortico-hypothalamo-visceral relations.

[The significance of the psychological characteristics of personality for the prevention of neuropsychic disorders in metallurgists]. / Znachenie psikhologicheskikh osobennostei lichnosti dlia profilaktiki nervno-psikhicheskikh rasstroistv u metallurgov.

Psychological aspects were studied in 601 male workers of 18 main metallurgical professions using the BVNK method developed at the Department of Clinical Psychology (Berlin Humboldt University). The most significant changes showing abnormalities were found in steel-founders and professions directly related to steel-making. They showed disorders of psychological functions and a tendency to unspecific disturbances of self-feeling. The main psychohygienic and psychoprophylactic measures should be carried out with professional groups working in conditions of maximum high temperatures.

[The psychological characteristics of the personality of patients with peptic ulcer working in the metallurgical industry]. / Psikhologicheskie osobennosti lichnosti bol'nykh iazvennoi bolezn'iu, rabotaiushchikh v metallurgicheskoi promyshlennosti.

Employment of clinico-psychological methods (BVNK-300) in metallurgists suffering of ulcer disease allowed to reveal several psychological aspects of the course of ulcer disease in this category of patients. Considering obtained results the author included in the complex treatment differentiated psychotherapeutic and psychocorrective measures that proved more effective than using only drug treatment.

[The effect of the microclimate in hot shops on autonomic nervous system function in metallurgists]. / Vliianie mikroklimata goriachikh tsekhov na sostoianie vegetativnoi nervnoi sistemy metallurgov.

The reactivity of somatovegetative functions was investigated in 601 patients of hot shops of metallurgical enterprises. A method for determination of grade of vegetative lability was employed. A relationship was found of the influence of the age of metallurgists, length of work in hot shops and morbidity on the index of vegetative lability.

[A method for determining the thermal lesion in workers in the hot shops of the metallurgical industry]. / Metodika opredeleniia teplovogo porazheniia u rabochikh tsekhov metallurgicheskoi promyshlennosti.

Results of examinations obtained by means of an asthenia scale allow to evaluate the level of thermal lesions in workers of hot shops of the metallurgical industry. The method was employed in 601 workers of hot shops of the metallurgical enterprises including 18 professional groups. This method makes it possible to realize adequate mental hygiene and psychoprophylactic programs in metallurgists of hot shops.
