RESUMO

In this study, the pervaporation membrane was used not only for the detoxification of sweet sorghum bagasse (SSB) hydrolysate, but also for butanol separation from its fermentation broth. As a result of detoxification, about 94.5% furfural was reduced by the pervaporation method, and 138.25 g/L furfural was obtained in the permeate side. 87.5% phenolic compounds were degradated by further laccase detoxification. As for fermentation part, 12.3±0.1 g/L butanol, 6.1±0.05 g/L acetone and 2.5±0.07 g/L ethanol were obtained. And after 2h of pervaporation separation, 201.9 g/L butanol, 76.2g/L acetone and traces of ethanol were obtained in the permeate. The hybrid pervaporation process shows promising for the industrial production of biofuel butanol and biochemical furfural.

RESUMO

Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method was studied for the extraction of Hesperidin from the pericarpium citri reticulate. Several factors, such as the concentration of extraction solvent, MAE time, MAE temperature, microwave power and liquid/ solid ratios were investigated, and the optimal conditions were obtained. The extraction percentage of hesperidiin was obtained by 2.40%, under 14 minutes extraction in 70% methanol water solvent at 65 degrees C , and the liquid/solid ratios of 25:1 (ml/g). Furthermore, compared with the other extraction methods, the MAE was more timesaving and effective. The result indicated that the MAE method is fast, efficient and energy saving, which is useful for active compounds extraction from orange peel.

RESUMO

The bioflocculant MBFTRJ21 for nature soda was exploited in our lab, and its flocculating mechanism was studied. The bioflocculant produced by Lactobacillus, has some advantages, such as less dosage, better flocculating effects, and etc. MBFTRJ21 is mainly composed of polysaccharide, which is determined by Anthrone reaction, Coomassie blue reaction and Elson-Morgan method. The acting force between bioflocculant and nature soda is hydrogen bond, which is determined by xi electric potential, hydrogen bond and electrovalent bond determination. The bioflocculant is treated by heat and KIO4, which indicate the active ingredient of bioflocculant is protein and osamine. Bridge occur during flocculation process, which is determined by particle size distribution. The results showed that the flocculating mechanism of MBFTRJ21 resulted from the combination of nature soda with MBFTRJ21 by hydrogen bond at the active position of glycosaminoglycan.
