RESUMO

The article is devoted to features of prenatal development of children with intestinal malrotation. Mass, height, head and chest circumferences of children after birth have been studied. In addition all associated malformations, a blood group (ABO system) and the rhesus-factor have been investigated. In comparison to the control group of newborn the disorders of prenatal development have included associated malformations, low anthropometric data after birth, decreasing of pA gene frequency. Notable, children with intestinal malrotation have had high frequency of malformations as in the abdominal and thoracic cavities as outside intestinal innervations: the small pelvis, the facial skeleton, the upper and lower extremity.

RESUMO

The enzymatic synthetic activity of peripheral blood lymphocytes was changed in the newborns whose mothers suffered from habitual miscarriages and were administered courses of metabolic therapy as part of combined pathogenetic treatment (basis therapy). Metabolic therapy brought about positive shifts which manifested by a reliable activation of succinate dehydrogenase and alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase, this, in its turn, creating favorable conditions for the functioning of the mother-placenta-fetus metabolic system and being conductive to a better adaptation of the newborns in the early neonatal period. Metabolic therapy brought about a twofold reduction of the incidence of fetal hypoxia and hypotrophy.

RESUMO

The dynamic study of the microecological state of the intestine in 41 newborns up to the age of 3 months has been made by biochemical and bacteriological investigation methods. The results of the biochemical rapid analysis have been found to be in complete agreement with those of the bacteriological analysis and, besides, to provide essential additional data. The biochemical rapid analysis permits the evaluation of the state resistance to the colonization of the intestine in children, starting from the age of 6 days. The presence of beta-alanine and ninhydrin-positive unidentified Nos. 7, 8a-1, 8d, 9, 10, 11 and 21 is indicative of a greater decrease in the level of the colonization of the digestive tract.

RESUMO

With the aim to analyse the patterns and incidence of perinatal abnormalities, the history of pregnancy and the course of labour were studied in 400 recurrent spontaneous abortion cases. The course of the early neonatal period of these mothers' newborns was investigated and the follow-up history of 50 infants of this group was analysed. The findings indicated a high (62.8 per cent) incidence of perinatal damage in the studied group. The early neonatal period in the newborns was characterized by maladaptation and increased vulnerability followed by impairment of the mental and physical development.
