RESUMO
Specific effects of ultra-low doses of antibodies to prostate-specific antigen obtained from laboratory rats of late reproductive age with sulpiride model of benign prostatic hyperplasia were compared with the results of clinical application of the preparation. Clinical reproducibility of experimental data was proven, which suggests that the developed model is adequate for pilot testing of the effects of pharmacotherapy of this disease.

Comparative experimental evaluation of the efficiency of prostatotropic drugs Prostamol Uno and Samprost on the model of the chronic aseptic prostate inflammation in rats was performed. It was established that peptide drug Samprost decelerates sclerotic processes in the prostate gland to a greater extent than herbal preparation Prostamol Uno. Both products equally stimulate secretory activity of the gland. Prostamol Uno, unlike Samprost, prevents the development of reduced sexual motivation, one of the complications of chronic prostatitis.

In experiments designed to study effect of taxan-containing agents on the progeny of Wistar rats, one of the parents was given a single intravenous injection of the antineoplastic drug paclitaxel 1, 3 and 6 months before crossing with the untreated partner. The number of systemic pathological changes in the off-springs of paclitaxel-treated females was significantly greater and their spectrum wider than in those of the treated males. Severity of toxic effects depended on the time of crossing after drug administration. The optimal time for obtaining less affected off-springs of treated females and males was 3 and 6 months after administration of paclitaxel.

Morphological and functional characteristics of spermatogenesis in rats were studied during the early and delayed periods after single injection of paclitaxel (antitumor agent) in the maximum tolerated dose. The drug induced structural changes in the gonads associated with oligospermia and increased number of pathological forms of spermatozoa with reduced functional activity.

Spontaneous and stimulated reaction of lymphocyte proliferation and blood levels of CD25- and CD120-expressing lymphocytes were studied in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis and diffuse toxic goiter. Activation of CD25- and CD120-presenting function of blood lymphocytes was revealed. The findings indicate that the course of autoimmune thyroiditis and diffuse toxic goiter is associated with increased levels of basal, mitogen- and cytokine-stimulated proliferation of blood lymphocytes, particularly pronounced in thyroiditis in the euthyrosis stage.
