The authors made an analysis of aspects of using the diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy in diagnosis and treatment of urgent nongravidary metarrhagias (UNM) under conditions of the department of urgent gynecology of the multiprophile hospital. The authors have analyzed the causes of the development of UNM, revealed high incidence of adenomyosis (44.3%).

The article is devoted to actual problems of operative gynecology. Modern advantages in endoscopic, microsurgical, reconstructive-plastic surgery in gynecology are shown. During examination of 37 women taking part in elimination of consequences of Chernobyl's disaster was revealed, that complex of disaster factors action resulted the formation of disbalance in the system of immunocompetence cells and caused the oppression of functional activity of neutrophils. In 110 women living on the radioactive contaminated zone (5-40 Ci/km) the phenomena of the secondary immunodeficiency in the form of defeat as cellular as humoral factors of immunity and nonspecific resistance system was diagnosed.

The article determines the main tasks of health maintaining and strengthening of service-women. These tasks assume medical supervision before enrollment in the army, creation of the necessary living conditions, sanitary gynecologic teaching, early active diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic diseases, prophylactic dynamic medical examination of the patients.

[Progress and perspectives in the study of non-clostridial anaerobic infection of female genitalia]. / Dostizheniia i perspektivy v izuchenii neklostridial'noi anaérobnoi infektsii zhenskikh polovykh organov.

The paper summarizes the results from 15-year studies of non-clostridial anaerobic infection in obstetrics and gynecology. The authors show that strict non-spore-bearing anaerobic microbes are prevalent in the etiological pattern of pyoinflammatory diseases of the female genitals, present the basic pathogenetic features of the development and clinical signs of anaerobic infections. The present-day principles of diagnosis and treatment of these diseases are given. Prospects are shown for further studies of non-clostridial anaerobic infection in obstetric and gynecological care.

[Diagnosis of bacterial amnionitis]. / Diagnostika bakterial'nogo amnionita.

Results of complex clinical laboratory diagnosis of bacterial amnionitis are analyzed. General clinical, bacteriological, cytological, immunological, and pathomorphological methods of investigation were used. The incidence of amnionitis was 29.8%. Changes in the amniotic fluid and fetal membranes, associated with bacterial amnionitis, were revealed. The authors come to a conclusion on the desirability of profound clinical laboratory monitoring of pregnant patients with infectious inflammatory diseases of the genitals, with habitual abortions, and preterm escape of the amniotic fluid.

The article contains the analysis of work of gynecological units and female hospitals during the Great Patriotic war. The authors stresses the necessity to make an opportune scientific elaboration of the system of medico-evacuation procedures as far as the problem of medical care to service women is concerned in modern conditions. The paper makes a proposal concerning the creation of a gynecological unit inside the organic structure of a hospital for minimally wounded.

[Thymogen in the complex treatment of inflammatory diseases of the female genital system]. / Timogen v kompleksnom lechenii vospalitel'nykh zabolevanii zhenskoi polovoi sistemy.

Thymogen, a new immunomodulating drug made in this country, was used in combined therapy of 46 patients with acute endomyometritis, exacerbations of chronic salpingo-oophoritis, purulent tubo-ovarian formations. Thymogen therapy was conducive to normalization of lymphocyte counts, absolute counts of T and B lymphocytes, increase of T lymphocyte functional activity. The drug is characterized by a desensitizing effect and induces no complications. Marked clinical effect recommends the immunomodulator thymogen for combined therapy of patients with inflammatory diseases of the uterus and its appendages.
