[The optimal time periods for the treatment of patients with venereal diseases at the hospital and at the outpatient clinic]. / Optimal'nye sroki lecheniia bol'nykh venericheskimi zabolevaniiami v statsionare i ambulatorii.

Results are reported on a study on treatment time of venereal diseases in conditions of a hospital and out-patient department. A questionnaire was sent to leading authorities in dermato-venereology of the Ukraine. The obtained data were systematized and evaluated. This allowed us to reconsider treatment time which would improve the quality, reduce treatment time with a good economic effect.

[Planning of sampling studies of morbidity and hospitalization at large territories]. / Planirovanie vyborochnogo issledovaniia gospitalizirovannoi zabolevaemosti na bol'shikh territoriiakh.

This paper provides the methodological principles of planning sample survey of hospital morbidity of population at the level of large economic regions and the republic at large. Proceeding from the example of socio-hygienic study of burn injuries requiring hospital treatment, and organization of hospital care for the burned, the methods of elaborating the principles of sample surveys, the use of stratified cluster selection with optimum placing of sample units are described. The methodological scheme permits to minimize the size of the sample and to obtain representative evaluations of the needed indices at large territories. While studying 23 sample units from 796 formed in the republic, evaluations of a number of indices were obtained which virtually coincided with the indices calculated according to the total data reported.

[Levels and structure of burn injuries in the Ukraine]. / Urovni i struktura ozhogovogo travmatizma v Ukrainskoi SSSR.

The results of sociohygienic examination of 15613 sufferers with burns, who were primarily admitted to the different types of hospitals, were analysed. The incidence of burn traumas, which led to hospitalization of the sufferers, in large economical regions on the whole, and in the individual groups of population was established.
