RESUMO

The prediction of evapotranspiration (ET0) is crucial for agricultural ecosystems, irrigation management, and environmental climate regulation. Traditional methods for predicting ET0 require a variety of meteorological parameters. However, obtaining data for these multiple parameters can be challenging, leading to inaccuracies or inability to predict ET0 using traditional methods. This affects decision-making in critical applications such as agricultural irrigation scheduling and water management, consequently impacting the development of agricultural ecosystems. This issue is particularly pronounced in economically underdeveloped regions. Therefore, this paper proposes a machine learning-based evapotranspiration estimation method adapted to evapotranspiration conditions. Compared to traditional methods, our approach relies less on the variety of meteorological parameters and yields higher prediction accuracy. Additionally, we introduce a 'region of evapotranspiration adaptability' division method, which takes into account geographical differences in ET0 prediction. This effectively mitigates the negative impact of anomalies or missing data from individual meteorological stations, making our method more suitable for practical agricultural irrigation and ecosystem water resource management. We validated our approach using meteorological data from 25 stations in Heilongjiang, China. Our results indicate that non-adjacent geographical areas, despite different climatic conditions, can have similar impacts on ET0 prediction. In summary, our method facilitates accurate ET0 prediction, offering new insights for the development of agricultural irrigation and ecosystems, and further contributes to agricultural food supply.

RESUMO

Bromine (Br2) and related species removal from water systems are rather complicated due to the complicated chemistry instability, and materials with high Br2 removal rate and efficiency, along with stimuli/apparatus suitable for highly corrosive environments, are necessary. Ultrasonication as a non-destructive process is especially suitable in scenarios where conventional stir apparatus is not applicable, such as highly corrosive environments. Considering the validity nature of Br2 and combining the advantages of ultrasonic with a highly stable Br2 fixation method through aromatic polymer nanoparticles, we demonstrate highly efficient acoustic-aided Br2 removal in aqueous solutions with two times capacity compared to the non-treated sample. Related aquatic applications are also proposed for the materials to be cost-effective, including silver (Ag) recovery, recyclable MnO2-mediated Br2 deep removal, and aqueous zinc anode modification. The coupled novel-material-based processes motivate the strategic design of water purification with high-safety and sustainable industrial procedures and post-value-added utilizations.

RESUMO

The functionality of activated sludge in wastewater treatment processes depends largely on the structural and microbial composition of its flocs, which are complex assemblages of microorganisms and their secretions. However, monitoring these flocs in real-time and consistently has been challenging due to the lack of suitable technologies and analytical methods. Here we present a laboratory setup capable of capturing instantaneous microscopic images of activated sludge, along with algorithms to interpret these images. To improve floc identification, an advanced Mask R-CNN-based segmentation that integrates a Dual Attention Network (DANet) with an enhanced Feature Pyramid Network (FPN) was used to enhance feature extraction and segmentation accuracy. Additionally, our novel PointRend module meticulously refines the contours of boundaries, significantly minimising pixel inaccuracies. Impressively, our approach achieved a floc detection accuracy of >95%. This development marks a significant advancement in real-time sludge monitoring, offering essential insights for optimising wastewater treatment operations proactively.

RESUMO

The study is being applied to a model involving silane and on cyclopentasilane graph. We consider a graph with labeled vertices by 0 or 1 inspired by the molecular structure of cyclopentasilane. In this paper, we first study the existence of solutions to fractional conformable boundary value problem on the cyclopentasilane graph by applying Scheafer and Krasnoselskii fixed point theorems. Furthermore, we investigate different kinds of Ulam stability such as Ulam-Hyers stable, generalized Ulam-Hyers stable, Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stable and generalized Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stable for the given problem. Finally, we give an example to support our important results.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Identifying the associations between BRAFV600E mutation, the American College of Radiology Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TI-RADS) and clinicopathological characteristics could assist in making appropriate treatment strategies for pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively assess the associations between BRAFV600E mutation, TI-RADS, and clinicopathological characteristics in pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Between May 2013 and May 2023, pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma who underwent thyroidectomy were retrospectively evaluated. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to determine the associations between BRAFV600E mutation, TI-RADS, and clinicopathological characteristics. The diagnostic performance of TI-RADS to predict BRAFV600E mutation was assessed. RESULTS: The BRAFV600E mutation was found in 59.1% (39/66) of pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. Multivariate analyses showed that hypoechoic/very hypoechoic [odds ratio (OR) = 8.48; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.48-48.74); P-value = 0.02] and punctate echogenic foci (OR = 24.3; 95% CI = 3.80-155.84; P-value = 0.001) were independent factors associated with BRAFV600E mutation. In addition, BRAFV600E mutation was significantly associated with TI-RADS 5 (OR = 12.61; 95% CI = 1.28-124.49; P-value = 0.03). There were no associations between BRAFV600E mutation and nodule size, composition, shape, margin, cervical lymph node metastasis, or Hashimoto's thyroiditis (P-value > 0.05). Combined with hypoechoic/very hypoechoic and punctate echogenic foci, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy were 89.7%, 85.2%, 89.7%, 85.2%, and 87.9%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Hypoechoic/very hypoechoic, punctate echogenic foci, and TI-RADS 5 are independently associated with BRAFV600E mutation in pediatric patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma.

RESUMO

The contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) has been mainly applied to adults to differentiate benign and malignant renal lesions, however, the characteristics of CEUS in pediatric has not been as well studied as in adults. In the present work, the eligible pediatric patients who underwent renal CEUS between March 2016 and February 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. It included 20 lesions (median diameter, 8.4 cm; range, 1.8-18.0 cm) from 20 patients (median age, 28.0 months; range, 3.0-212.0 months; 9 boys) in malignant group and 5 lesions (median diameter, 3.8 cm; range, 1.3-7.5 cm) from 5 patients (median age, 25.0 months; range, 0.7-216.0 months; 2 boys) in benign group. The diagnostic performance was assessed. Nonparametric and Chi-square tests were performed. With hyperenhancement plus wash-out, CEUS showed a sensitivity of 95.0% [95% confidence interval (CI): 75.1%, 99.9%], a specificity of 80.0% (CI: 28.4%, 99.5%), a positive predictive value of 95.0% (CI: 75.1%, 99.9%) and a negative predictive value of 80.0% (CI: 28.4%, 99.5%). It suggested that CEUS is a valuable technique for identifying between malignant and benign renal lesions in children.

RESUMO

This article combines (k,Θ)-Hilfer fractional calculus with glucose molecular graph, defines fractional differential and inclusion systems on each edge of a glucose molecular graph by the assumption that 0 or 1 marks the vertices, and studies the single-valued and multi-valued (k,Θ)-Hilfer type fractional boundary value problems on the glucose molecular graph. On the one hand, the existence and uniqueness of solutions in the single-valued case are proved by using several fixed point theorems. On the other hand, in the multi-valued case, we consider that the right side of the inclusion has convex valued and non-convex value. By applying Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative method of multi-valued maps as well as Covitz-Nadler fixed point theorem of multi-valued contractions, two existence results are obtained respectively. On this basis, we also get the topological structure of the solution set, which is a pioneering work for (k,Θ)-Hilfer fractional differential inclusion on the glucose graph. Finally, several examples are provided to verify the reliability of our proposed results.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a severe mental disorder with heavy disease burden. Females with BD are special populations who suffer a lot from childhood trauma, social support, cognitive deficits, and suicidality. In this study, the relationship among childhood trauma, social support, and clinical symptoms of BD was investigated and the risk factors for suicidality were explored in female patients with BD. METHODS: This study included 57 drug-naive female BD patients, 64 female BD patients with long-term medication, and 50 age-matched female healthy controls. Childhood trauma, social support, clinical symptoms, cognition, and suicidality (suicide ideation, suicide plan, suicide attempt, suicide frequency) were measured with scales. RESULTS: Compared with healthy controls, females with BD showed higher levels of childhood trauma and suicidality, and lower levels of social support and cognitive deficits. In the drug-naïve BD group, social support mediated the relationship between childhood trauma and insomnia symptoms (indirect effect: ab = 0.025). In the BD with long-term medication group, mania symptom was associated with suicide plan (OR = 1.127, p = 0.030), childhood trauma was associated with suicide attempt (OR = 1.088, p = 0.018), and years of education (OR = 0.773, p = 0.028), childhood trauma (OR = 1.059, p = 0.009), and delayed memory (OR= 1.091, p= 0.016) was associated with suicide frequency (OR = 1.091, p = 0.016). CONCLUSIONS: This study provides initial evidence that social support partially explains the relationship between childhood trauma and clinical symptoms in females with BD. Additionally, mania symptoms, childhood trauma, and delayed memory were risk factors for suicidality. Interventions providing social support and improving cognitive function may be beneficial for females with BD who are exposed to childhood trauma and with high suicide risk.

RESUMO

As electrocatalysts, molecular catalysts with large aromatic systems (such as terpyridine, porphyrin, or phthalocyanine) have been widely applied in the CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR). However, these monomeric catalysts tend to aggregate due to strong π-π interactions, resulting in limited accessibility of the active site. In light of these challenges, we present a novel strategy of active site isolation for enhancing the CO2RR. Six Ru(Tpy)2 were integrated into the skeleton of a metallo-organic supramolecule by stepwise self-assembly in order to form a rhombus-fused six-pointed star R1 with active site isolation. The turnover frequency (TOF) of R1 was as high as 10.73 s-1 at -0.6 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode (vs RHE), which is the best reported value so far at the same potential to our knowledge. Furthermore, by increasing the connector density on R1's skeleton, a more stable triangle-fused six-pointed star T1 was successfully synthesized. T1 exhibits exceptional stability up to 126 h at -0.4 V vs RHE and excellent TOF values of CO. The strategy of active site isolation and connector density increment significantly enhanced the catalytic activity by increasing the exposure of the active site. This work provides a starting point for the design of molecular catalysts and facilitates the development of a new generation of catalysts with a high catalytic performance.

RESUMO

Batteries dissolving active materials in liquids possess safety and size advantages compared to solid-based batteries, yet the intrinsic liquid properties lead to material cross-over induced self-discharge both during cycling and idle when the electrolytes are in contact, thus highly efficient and cost-effective solutions to minimize cross-over are in high demand. An ultra-low self-discharge aqueous|organic membraneless battery using dichloromethane (CH2 Cl2 ) and tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBABr) added to a zinc bromide (ZnBr2 ) solution as the electrolyte is demonstrated. The polybromide is confined in the organic phase, and bromine (Br2 ) diffusion-induced self-discharge is minimized. At 90% state of charge (SOC), the membraneless ZnBr2 |TBABr (Z|T) battery shows an open circuit voltage (OCV) drop of only 42 mV after 120 days, 152 times longer than the ZnBr2  battery, and superior to 102 previous reports from all types of liquid active material batteries. The 120-day capacity retention of 95.5% is higher than commercial zinc-nickel (Zn-Ni) batteries and vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB, electrolytes stored separately) and close to lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. Z|T achieves >500 cycles (2670 h, 0.5 m electrolyte, 250 folds of membraneless ZnBr2  battery) with ≈100% Coulombic efficiency (CE). The simple and cost-effective design of Z|T provides a conceptual inspiration to regulate material cross-over in liquid-based batteries to realize extended operation.

RESUMO

Zinc-bromine (Zn-Br) redox provides a high energy density and low-cost option for next-generation energy storage systems, and polybromide diffusion remains a major issue leading to Zn anode corrosion, dendrite growth, battery self-discharge and limited electrochemical performance. A dual-functional Alginate-Graphene Oxide (AGO) hydrogel coating is proposed to prevent polybromide corrosion and suppress dendrite growth in Zn-Br batteries through negatively charged carboxyl groups and enhanced mechanical properties. The battery with anode of plain zinc coated with AGO (Zn]AGO) survives a severely corrosive environment with higher polybromide concentration than usual without a membrane, and achieves 80 cycles with 100% Coulombic and 80.65% energy efficiencies, four times compared to plain Zn anode. The promising performance is comparable to typical Zn-Br batteries using physical membranes, and the AGO coating concept can be well adapted to various Zn-Br systems to promote their applications.

RESUMO

AIMS: Infants with biliary atresia (BA) are treated with Kasai portoenterostomy (KPE) surgery, but many BA patients need subsequent salvage liver transplants. The aim of this study is to develop a comprehensive gene-clinical model based on two-dimensional shear wave elastography (2DSWE), liver gene expression, and other clinical parameters to predict response to KPE for BA patients. METHODS: Differentially expressed gene patterns between liver samples of BA (n = 102) and non-BA control (n = 14) were identified using RNA sequencing analysis. Biliary atresia patients were then randomly assigned to training and validation cohorts. Gene classifier based on the differentially expressed genes was built in the training cohort. Nomogram models with and without gene classifier were further constructed and validated for predicting native liver survival of BA patients. The utility of the nomograms was compared by C-index. RESULTS: Using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator model, we generated a nine-gene prognostic classifier. The nomogram based on the nine-gene classifier, age, preoperative 2DSWE, and albumin had the better C-index compared to gene classifier alone in the training cohort (0.83 [0.76-0.90] vs. 0.69 [0.61-0.77], p = 0.003) and the validation cohort (0.74 [0.67-0.82] vs. 0.62 [0.55-0.70], p = 0.001). Using risk scores developed from the nomogram, the 12-month survival rates of BA patients with native liver were 35.7% (95% confidence interval [CI], 22.7-56.3) in the high-risk group and 80.8% (95% CI, 63.4-100.0) in the low-risk group in the validation cohort. CONCLUSIONS: The comprehensive genetic-clinical nomogram based on preoperative 2DSWE, liver gene expression, and other clinical parameters can accurately predict response to KPE.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To modify the size cutoff for biopsy for thyroid nodules in patients < 19 years based on the American College of Radiology Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TI-RADS) and evaluate the performance of the new criteria in two referral centers. METHODS: Patients < 19 years with cytopathologic or surgical pathology results were retrospectively identified from two centers from May 2005 to August 2022. Patients from one center were classified as the training cohort, and those from the other center were classified as the validation cohort. The diagnostic performance, unnecessary biopsy rates, and missed malignancy rates of the TI-RADS guideline, and the new criteria (≥ 35 mm for TR3 and no threshold for TR5) were compared. RESULTS: A total of 236 nodules from 204 patients in the training cohort and 225 nodules from 190 patients in the validation cohort were analyzed. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the new criteria in identifying thyroid malignant nodules was higher (0.809 vs. 0.681, p < 0.001; 0.819 vs. 0.683, p < 0.001), and the unnecessary biopsy rates (45.0% vs. 56.8%; 42.2% vs. 56.8%) and missed malignancy rates (5.7% vs. 18.6%; 9.2% vs. 21.5%) were lower than that of the TI-RADS guideline in the training cohort and validation cohort, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The new criteria (≥ 35 mm for TR3 and no threshold for TR5) for biopsy based on the TI-RADS may help improve the diagnostic performance and reduce unnecessary biopsy rates and missed malignancy rates for thyroid nodules in patients < 19 years. CLINICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT: The study developed and validated the new criteria (≥ 35 mm for TR3 and no threshold for TR5) to indicate FNA based on the ACR TI-RADS of thyroid nodules in patients younger than 19 years. KEY POINTS: •The AUC of the new criteria (≥ 35 mm for TR3 and no threshold for TR5) in identifying thyroid malignant nodules was higher than that of the TI-RADS guideline (0.809 vs. 0.681) in patients < 19 years. •The unnecessary biopsy rates and missed malignancy rates of the new criteria (≥ 35 mm for TR3 and no threshold for TR5) in identifying thyroid malignant nodules were lower than that of the TI-RADS guideline in patients < 19 years (45.0% vs. 56.8% and 5.7% vs. 18.6%, respectively).

RESUMO

Cromileptes altivelis (humpback grouper) is the main farmed species in the southern coastal area of China owing to its important economic value. Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) belongs to the toll-like receptor (TLR) family and functions as a pattern recognition receptor, recognising unmethylated oligodeoxynucleotides containing the CpG motif (CpG ODNs) in bacterial and viral genomes, thereby activating host immune response. In this study, the C. altivelis TLR9 (CaTLR9) ligand CpG ODN 1668 was screened and found to significantly enhance the antibacterial immunity of humpback grouper in vivo and head kidney lymphocytes (HKLs) in vitro. In addition, CpG ODN 1668 also promoted the cell proliferation and immune gene expression of HKLs and strengthened the phagocytosis activity of head kidney macrophages. However, when the CaTLR9 expression was knocked down in the humpback group, the expression levels of TLR9, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (Myd88), tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interferon γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß), IL-6, and IL-8 were significantly reduced, and the antibacterial immune effects induced by CpG ODN 1668 were mostly abolished. Therefore, CpG ODN 1668 induced antibacterial immune responses in a CaTLR9-dependent pathway. These results enhance the knowledge of the antibacterial immunity of fish TLR signalling pathways and have important implications for exploring natural antibacterial molecules in fish.

RESUMO

In the past decades, many supramolecular cages with different sizes and shapes have been achieved through coordination-driven self-assembly. However, the strategy of topology adjustment by using a steric hindrance effect has not been fully developed. In this Article, we report the synthesis of ligand LA with rotatable arms, ligand LB with restricted arms, and their precisely controlled self-assembly to tetramer cage T1 and dimer cage D1, respectively, under the same conditions. By utilizing the steric hindrance of the ligands, the shapes and sizes of metallosupramolecular cages have been successfully adjusted. The metallocages were characterized by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, COSY, NOESY, and DOSY), mass spectrometry (ESI-MS, TWIM-MS), transmission electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy. This synthetic method would have the potential to be a general strategy for the design and self-assembly of diverse cages with tunable shape, size, and applicable properties.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: Central venous catheter (CVC)-related thrombosis (CRT) is a known complication in critically ill patients. However, its clinical significance remains unclear. The objective of the study was to evaluate the occurrence and evolution of CRT from CVC insertion to removal. METHODS: A prospective multicenter study was conducted in 28 intensive care units (ICUs). Duplex ultrasound was performed daily from CVC insertion until at least 3 days after CVC removal or before patient discharge from the ICU to detect CRT and to follow its progression. CRT diameter and length were measured and diameter > 7 mm was considered extensive. RESULTS: The study included 1262 patients. The incidence of CRT was 16.9% (95% confidence interval 14.8-18.9%). CRT was most commonly found in the internal jugular vein. The median time from CVC insertion to CRT onset was 4 (2-7) days, and 12% of CRTs occurred on the first day and 82% within 7 days of CVC insertion. CRT diameters > 5 mm and > 7 mm were found in 48% and 30% of thromboses. Over a 7-day follow-up, CRT diameter remained stable when the CVC was in place, whereas it gradually decreased after CVC removal. The ICU length of stay was longer in patients with CRT than in those without CRT, and the mortality was not different. CONCLUSION: CRT is a frequent complication. It can occur as soon as the CVC is placed and mostly during the first week following catheterization. Half of the thromboses are small but one-third are extensive. They are often non-progressive and may be resolved after CVC removal.

RESUMO

Fractal structures with self-similarity are of fundamental importance in the fields of aesthetic, chemistry and mathematics. Here, by taking advantage of constructs the rational geometry-directed precursor design, we report the construction of two fascinating Platonic solids, the Sierpinski tetrahedron ST-T and the Sierpinski octahedron ST-O, in which each possesses a fractal Sierpinski triangle on their independent faces. These two discrete complexes are formed in near-quantitative yield from the multi-component self-assembly of truncated Sierpinski triangular kernel L1 with tribenzotriquinacene-based hexatopic and anthracene-based tetratopic terpyridine ligands (L3 and L4 ) in the presence of metal ions, respectively. The enhanced stabilities of the 3D discrete structures were investigated by gradient tandem mass spectrometry (gMS2 ). This work provides new constructs for the imitation of complex virus assemblies and for the molecular encapsulation of giant guest molecules.

RESUMO

In view of the limited number of extracted sound features, the lack of in-depth analysis of applicable sound features, and the lack of in-depth study of the selection basis and optimization process of classification models in the existing broiler sound classification or recognition research, the author proposes a recognition method for broiler sound signals based on multi-domain sound features and classification models. The implementation process is divided into the training stage and the testing stage. In the training stage, the experimental area is built, and multiple segments of broiler sound signals are collected and filtered. Through sub-frame processing and endpoint detection, the combinations of start frames and end frames of multiple sound types in broiler sound signals are obtained. A total of sixty sound features from four aspects of time domain, frequency domain, Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), and sparse representation are extracted from each frame signal to form multiple feature vectors. These feature vectors are labeled manually to build the data set. The min-max standardization method is used to process the data set, and the random forest is used to calculate the importance of sound features. Then, thirty sound features that contribute more to the classification effect of the classification model are retained. On this basis, the classification models based on seven classification algorithms are trained, the best-performing classification model based on k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN) is obtained, and its inherent parameters are optimized. Then, the optimal classification model is obtained. The test results show that the average classification accuracy achieved by the decision-tree-based classifier (abbreviated as DT classifier) on the data set before and after min-max standardization processing is improved by 0.6%, the average classification accuracy achieved by the DT classifier on the data set before and after feature selection is improved by 3.1%, the average classification accuracy achieved by the kNN-based classification model before and after parameter optimization is improved by 1.2%, and the highest classification accuracy is 94.16%. In the testing stage, for a segment of the broiler sound signal collected in the broiler captivity area, the combinations of the start frames and end frames of multiple sound types in the broiler sound signal are obtained through signal filtering, sub-frame processing, endpoint detection, and other steps. Thirty sound features are extracted from each frame signal to form the data set to be predicted. The optimal classification model is used to predict the labels of each piece of data in the data set to be predicted. By performing majority voting processing on the predicted labels of the data combination corresponding to each sound type, the common labels are obtained; that is, the predicted types are obtained. On this basis, the definition of recognition accuracy for broiler sound signals is proposed. The test results show that the classification accuracy achieved by the optimal classification model on the data set to be predicted is 93.57%, and the recognition accuracy achieved on the multiple segments of the broiler sound signals is 99.12%.

RESUMO

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) could regulate various biological processes. Nervous necrosis virus (NNV) is one of the primary germs of the Humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis), a commercial fish of great importance for Asian aquaculture. However, there is limited available information on the host-virus interactions of C. altivelis. miRNAs have been shown to play key roles in the host response to infection by a variety of pathogens. To better understand the regulatory mechanism of miRNAs, we constructed miRNA transcriptomes and identified immune-related miRNAs of C. altivelis spleen in response to NNV infection. Reads from the three libraries were mapped onto the Danio rerio reference genome. As a result, a total of 942 mature miRNAs were determined, with 266 known miRNAs and 676 novel miRNAs. Among them, thirty-two differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRs) were identified compared to the PBS control. These DEmiRs were targeted on 895 genes, respectively, by using miRanda v3.3a. Then, 14 DEmiRs were validated by qRT-PCR and showed consistency with those obtained from high-throughput sequencing. In order to study the relationship between viral infection and host miRNA, a cell line from C. altivelis brain (CAB) was used to examine the expressions of five known DEmiRs (miR-132-3p, miR-194a, miR-155, miR-203b-5p, and miR-146) during NNV infection. The results showed that one miRNA, cal-miRNA-155, displayed significantly increased expression in response to the virus infection. Subsequently, it was proved that overexpression of cal-miR-155 enhanced cell apoptosis with or without NNV infection and inhibited virus replication in CAB cells. Oppositely, the cal-miRNA-155 inhibitor markedly suppressed apoptosis in CAB cells. The results of the apoptosis-related genes mRNA expression also showed the regulation of cal-miR-155 on the apoptosis process in CAB cells. These findings verify that miR-155 might exert a function as a pro-apoptotic factor in reply to NNV stimulation in CAB cells and help us further study the molecular mechanisms of the pathogenesis of NNV in C. altivelis.
