RESUMO

Although overall survival data are still premature, the PROpel study found radiological progression-free survival (PFS) benefits of abiraterone and olaparib in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). However, for patients who have not been genetically tested or lack BRCA1/2 mutations (BRCAm), this combination therapy has been questioned as a first-line conventional treatment for mCRPC, mainly due to significant health economics and side effects. In our retrospective study, we found that treatment with low-dose abiraterone plus olaparib as a late-line treatment for mCRPC could lead to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and symptom PFS in selective cases even without BRCAm. The median PSA-PFS was 8 months (IQR: 6.5-11.5), with a median follow-up duration of 39.0 months (IQR: 27.5-64.5). Gene tests were conducted in all patients, identifying non-BRCA mutations through ctDNA testing (24%), tumor tissue testing (12%), or both (64%). Adverse events occurred in 72% of patients, with 16% experiencing Grade ≥ 3 events. Common adverse events included anemia (64%), decreased appetite (48%), and fatigue (25%). Our findings support low-dose abiraterone plus olaparib as a potential option for mCRPC patients without BRCAm, offering manageable safety and efficacy profiles.

RESUMO

Sustainable processes for semi-hydrogenation of alkynes/alkadienes impurities in alkenes feedstocks are in great demand in industry as the utilization of excessive hydrogen, high temperature and unsatisfactory alkenes selectivity of the current thermo-catalytic route, however, their development is still challenging. Herein, we innovate a light-assisted semi-hydrogenation process in gas-feed fixed bed reactor, with water as hydrogen atom source by in situ photocatalysis. Using Pd/TiO2 as model catalyst, this process shows an excellent catalytic performance for the semi-hydrogenation of 1,3-butadiene, with 100 % of butenes selectivity at ≈99 % of conversion over 180 h of reaction at ambient temperature driven by 66 mW cm-2 of irradiation intensity. This light-driven, H2 -free, ambient temperature semi-hydrogenation process, with superior performance to that of thermocatalytic route, shows attractive to bring an evolution in industrial hydrogenation technology to an economical and safe way.

RESUMO

P-doped graphitic carbon nitride tubes (P-CNTS) with different P concentrations were successfully fabricated via a pre-hydrothermal in combination with a calcination process under a nitrogen atmosphere. The as-prepared samples exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance with a hydrogen production rate (HPR) of 2749.3 µmol g-1 h-1, which was 17.5 and 6.6 times higher than that of the bulk graphitic carbon nitride (CNB) and graphitic carbon nitride tube (CNT). The structural and textural properties of the P-CNT samples were well-investigated via a series of characterization methods. Compared with the bulk g-C3N4, the tubular structure of the doped samples was provided with a larger specific surface area (SSA) and a relatively rough interior. Besides the above, surface defects were formed due to the doping, which could act as more active sites for the hydrogen production reaction. In addition, the introduction of the P element could effectively adjust the band-gap, strengthen the harvest of visible-light, and boost the effective separation of photogenerated charges. More interestingly, these findings can open up a novel prospect for the enhancement of the photocatalytic performance of the modified g-C3N4.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the main point of long backbone fracture caused by blunt force in forensic clinical identification and to provide a reference for the inspection and appraisal practices of such injury. METHODS: Ninety-nine cases of adult long backbone fractures were collected from January 2006 to December 2013 in Gutian County of Fujian Province. According to the terms of fracture location, mode of injury, type, the data were summarized. RESULTS: In the 99 cases, there were 36 cases caused by hitting, kicking, and falling and 63 cases caused by vehicle collision. The majority of the former was ulna, and those of the latter were tibia and fibula. The types of fracture were transverse one, short oblique one, long oblique one, and spiral one. CONCLUSION: Different types of long backbone fracture, not only causing stress load of fractures as well as structural differences related to each segment.
