RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent malignant tumor, and the RNA-binding protein polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 1 (PTBP1) has been identified as a crucial factor in various tumor types. Moreover, abnormal autophagy levels have been shown to significantly impact tumorigenesis and progression. Despite this, the precise regulatory mechanism of PTBP1 in autophagy regulation in GC remains poorly understood. METHODS: To assess the expression of PTBP1 in GC, we employed a comprehensive approach utilizing western blot, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), and bioinformatics analysis. To further identify the downstream target genes that bind to PTBP1 in GC cells, we utilized RNA immunoprecipitation coupled with sequencing (si-PTBP1 RNA-seq). To evaluate the impact of PTBP1 on gastric carcinogenesis, we conducted CCK-8 assays, colony formation assays, and GC xenograft mouse model assays. Additionally, we utilized a transmission electron microscope, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, western blot, RT-qPCR, and GC xenograft mouse model experiments to elucidate the specific mechanism underlying PTBP1's regulation of autophagy in GC. RESULTS: Our findings indicated that PTBP1 was significantly overexpressed in GC tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues. Silencing PTBP1 resulted in abnormal accumulation of autophagosomes, thereby inhibiting GC cell viability both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, interference with PTBP1 promoted the stability of thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) mRNA, leading to increased TXNIP-mediated oxidative stress. Consequently, this impaired lysosomal function, ultimately resulting in blockage of autophagic flux. Furthermore, our results suggested that interference with PTBP1 enhanced the antitumor effects of chloroquine, both in vitro and in vivo. CONCLUSION: PTBP1 knockdown impairs GC progression by directly binding to TXNIP mRNA and promoting its expression. Based on these results, PTBP1 emerges as a promising therapeutic target for GC.

RESUMO

Sodium cyclamate in Baijiu is a key item in the China National Food Safety Supervision and Inspection Plan. A simple, economical, sensitive, and reliable method is urgently needed for routine analysis and internal quality control. A method based on high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) was developed for the determination of sodium cyclamate in Baijiu by o-phthalaldehyde derivatization. First, the sodium cyclamate in the sample solution was converted into amino compounds using the desulfurization reaction under acidic conditions. Next, 400 g/L sodium hydroxide solution was added to the sample solution for neutralization. The amino compounds in the sample solution were then derivatized with o-phthalaldehyde to produce indole-substituted derivatives that are capable of producing fluorescence signals. Separation was carried out on a C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 µm) in isocratic elution mode using a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and phosphate buffer. Finally, the eluate was monitored using a fluorescence detector, and an external standard method was used for quantification. A good linear relationship was obtained in the range of 0.1-2.0 mg/L, with correlation coefficients greater than 0.999. The average recoveries of sodium cyclamate spiked at levels of 0.1-1.0 mg/kg in Baijiu samples ranged from 90.7% to 100.9%, with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 3.5%-5.6% (n=6). The limits of detection and quantification were 0.03 and 0.10 mg/kg, respectively. Nine Baijiu samples collected from the market were tested, and the results demonstrated that the contents of sodium cyclamate detected by the developed method were consistent with those obtained using the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method described in GB 5009.97-2016 (the third method). The proposed method is economical, sensitive, specific, and accurate; thus, it provides a basic approach for the determination of sodium cyclamate in Baijiu samples and has great potential for routine analysis in foodstuffs.

RESUMO

Objectives: To prospectively explore the association of maternal serum 25(OH)D levels with the infant's gut microbiota in Chinese populations, and to evaluate its potential influence on the dynamic change patterns of offspring's gut microbiota from 1 to 6 months old. Methods: Eighty-seven mother-infant dyads (vitamin D insufficient group vs. normal group = 59 vs. 28) were included in this longitudinal study. Two fecal samples were collected for the included infant at home by the parents at 1 month of age ("M1 phase") and 6 months of age ("M6 phase"). Gut microbiota were profiled by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. We performed mixed effects models on alpha diversity metrics, PERMANOVA tests on beta diversity distances, and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) to identify differently abundant taxa. Results: We observed significantly lower Pielou's evenness and Shannon diversity in the vitamin D insufficient group in the M6 phase (p = 0.049 and 0.015, respectively), but not in the M1 phase (p > 0.05), and the dynamic changes in alpha diversity from 1 to 6 months old were significantly different according to maternal vitamin D status (p < 0.05). There were also significant differences in gut microbiota composition between the vitamin D insufficient group and normal group, both in the M1 and M6 phases (LDA score > 2.0, p < 0.05). Moreover, among the predicted metagenome functions, pathways related to amino acid biosynthesis, starch degradation, and purine nucleotides biosynthesis were enriched in the vitamin D insufficient group. Conclusion: Our findings highlight that maternal vitamin D status plays a pivotal role in shaping the early-life gut microbiota of the next generation.

RESUMO

AIM: To investigate motor, non-motor and cognitive progression in early Parkinson's disease (PD) patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). METHODS: PD patients were recruited within 1 year of diagnosis and were classified into PD-MCI group and PD with normal cognition (PD-NC) group. H&Y staging scale, MDS-UPDRS part III were used to assess disease severity and motor progression. Non-motor symptom scale (NMSS) was used to evaluate the NMS progression. Cognitive progression was assessed from 5 cognitive domains. Annual progression changes in the longitudinal outcomes were examined via linear mixed model with random intercept effect. False discovery rate (FDR) method was performed to control for multiple testing comparison and q-value was calculated. We set the threshold of q-values as 0.1. RESULT: A total of 205 PD patients, including 107 PD-MCI and 98 PD-NC patients were assessed prospectively over a 5-year period. PD-MCI patients, compared to PD-NC group, had a significantly higher progression rate in H&Y score (0.11 vs. 0.06, p=0.03, q=0.08), MDS-UPDRS motor score (3.11 vs. 1.90 p<0.001, q=0.06) and postural instability gait difficulty (PIGD) score (0.40 vs. 0.20, p=0.02, q=0.07). PD-MCI group also exhibited significantly faster deterioration in NMSS perceptual domain (PD-MCI vs. PD-NC: 0.38 vs. -0.04, p=0.01, q=0.06) and cognitive visuospatial domain (PD-MCI vs. PD-NC: 0.13 vs. -0.06, p=0.048, q=0.09) after adjustment for confounders and multiple comparisons. CONCLUSIONS: PD-MCI patients had faster decline in motor functions, visuo-perceptual and visuospatial performance. These findings provide a more comprehensive prognosis of PD-MCI, which could be helpful for clinician to manage PD-MCI patients.

RESUMO

Adulteration of meat is a global issue, necessitating rapid, inexpensive, and simple on-site testing methods. Therefore, the present study aimed to develop a one-minute toothpick-based DNA extraction method, a handheld microfluidic chip, and a smartphone-controlled portable analyzer for detecting multiple meat adulterations. A toothpick was inserted into the meat to promote DNA release and adsorption. Furthermore, a handheld microfluidic chip was designed for DNA elution on toothpicks and fluid distribution. Finally, a smartphone-actuated portable analyzer was developed to function as a heater, signal detector, and result reader. The portable device comprises a microcontroller, a fluorescence detection module, a step scanning unit, and a heating module. The proposed device is portable, and the app is user-friendly. This simple design, easy operation, and fast-response system could rapidly detect as little as 1% of simulated adulterated samples (following UK standards) within 40 min at a cost of less than USD 1 per test.

RESUMO

The Dressler-de Winter sign is an electrocardiogram (ECG) pattern characterized by upsloping ST-segment depression in leads V1-V6 followed by tall, hyperacute T waves, typically indicating an occlusion of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). We present a case involving an inferoposterior ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) with a variant of the de Winter sign, a concept of ST-segment continuum in the precordial leads. Despite initial ECG findings suggesting right coronary artery (RCA) or left circumflex artery (LCX) involvement, coronary angiography confirmed occlusion of the wrap-around LAD distal to the first septal (S1) and diagonal branch (D1) and revealed a left dominant system accompanied by a small non-dominant RCA. This case highlights the diagnostic complexity in accurately localizing the culprit artery in STEMI cases exhibiting the de Winter sign. Understanding such ECG variants is crucial for analyzing the mechanisms of acute ischemia and ensuring accurate assessment of the culprit vessel for effective revascularization.

RESUMO

The advancement of rechargeable Mg-metal batteries (RMBs) is severely impeded by the lack of suitable cathode materials. Despite the good cyclic stability of intercalation-type compounds, their specific capacity is relatively low. Conversely, the conversion-type cathodes can deliver a higher capacity but often suffer from poor cycling reversibility and stability. Herein, a WSe2/Se intercalation-conversion hybrid material with elemental Se uniformly distributed into WSe2 nanosheets is fabricated via a simple solvothermal method for high-performance RMBs. The uniformly introduced Se confined in WSe2 nanosheets can not only efficiently improve the conductivity of the hybrid cathodes, facilitating the fast electron transport and ion diffusion, but also provide additional specific capacity. Besides, the WSe2 can effectively inhibit the detrimental Se dissolution and polyselenide shuttle, thereby activating the activity of Se and improving its utilization. Consequently, the synergy of intercalation and conversion mechanisms endows WSe2/Se hybrids with superior reversible capacity of 252 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 and ultra-long cyclability of up to 5000 cycles at 2.0 A g-1 with capacity retention of 78.1%. This work demonstrates the feasibility of the strategy by integrating intercalation and conversion mechanisms for developing high-performance cathode materials for RMBs.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Currently, there is limited understanding regarding the clinical significance of the tumor-stroma ratio (TSR) in giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB). Hence, we aimed to investigate the distribution of TSR in GCTB and explore its correlation with various clinicopathologic factors, immune microenvironment, survival prognosis, and denosumab treatment responsiveness. METHODS: We conducted a multicenter cohort study comprising 426 GCTB patients treated at four centers. TSR was evaluated on hematoxylin and eosin-stained and immunofluorescent sections of tumor specimens. Immunohistochemistry was performed to assess CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD20+, PD-1+, PD-L1+, and FoxP3+ TIL subtypes as well as Ki-67 expression levels in 426 tissue specimens. These parameters were then analyzed for their correlations with patient outcomes [local recurrence-free survival (LRFS) and overall survival (OS)], clinicopathological features, and denosumab treatment responsiveness. RESULTS: Low TSR was significantly associated with poor LRFS and OS in both cohorts. Furthermore, TSR was also correlated with multiple clinicopathological features, TIL subtype expression, and denosumab treatment responsiveness. TSR demonstrated similar predictive capabilities as the conventional Campanacci staging system for predicting patients' LRFS and OS. CONCLUSION: The results of this study provide evidence supporting the use of TSR as a reliable prognostic tool in GCTB and as a predictor of denosumab treatment responsiveness. These findings may aid in developing individualized treatment strategies for GCTB patients in the future.

RESUMO

Various genetic and epigenetic changes associated with genomic instability (GI), including DNA damage repair defects, chromosomal instability, and mitochondrial GI, contribute to development and progression of cancer. These alterations not only result in DNA leakage into the cytoplasm, either directly or through micronuclei, but also trigger downstream inflammatory signals, such as the cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes (STING) signaling pathway. Apart from directly inducing DNA damage to eliminate cancer cells, radiotherapy (RT) exerts its antitumor effects through intracellular DNA damage sensing mechanisms, leading to the activation of downstream inflammatory signaling pathways. This not only enables local tumor control but also reshapes the immune microenvironment, triggering systemic immune responses. The combination of RT and immunotherapy has emerged as a promising approach to increase the probability of abscopal effects, where distant tumors respond to treatment due to the systemic immunomodulatory effects. This review emphasizes the importance of GI in cancer biology and elucidates the mechanisms by which RT induces GI remodeling of the immune microenvironment. By elucidating the mechanisms of GI and RT-induced immune responses, we aim to emphasize the crucial importance of this approach in modern oncology. Understanding the impact of GI on tumor biological behavior and therapeutic response, as well as the possibility of activating systemic anti-tumor immunity through RT, will pave the way for the development of new treatment strategies and improve prognosis for patients.

RESUMO

Purpose: This study aims to assess the causal relationship between Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), dyslipidemia, and osteoporosis using Mendelian Randomization (MR) techniques. Methods: Utilizing a two-sample MR approach, the study examines the causal relationship between dyslipidemia and osteoporosis. Multivariable MR analyses were used to test the independence of the causal association of dyslipidemia with OSA. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected as instrumental variables based on genome-wide significance, independence, and linkage disequilibrium criteria. The data were sourced from publicly available Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) of OSA (n = 375,657) from the FinnGen Consortium, the Global Lipids Genetics Consortium of dyslipidemia (n = 188,577) and the UK Biobank for osteoporosis (n = 456,348). Results: The MR analysis identified a significant positive association between genetically predicted OSA and triglyceride levels (OR: 1.15, 95% CI: 1.04-1.26, p = 0.006) and a negative correlation with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (OR: 0.84, 95% CI: 0.77-0.93, p = 0.0003). Conversely, no causal relationship was found between dyslipidemia (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) and OSA or the relationship between OSA and osteoporosis. Conclusion: The study provides evidence of a causal relationship between OSA and dyslipidemia, highlighting the need for targeted prevention and management strategies for OSA to address lipid abnormalities. The absence of a causal link with osteoporosis and in the reverse direction emphasizes the need for further research in this area.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Accumulating evidence suggests that the inflammatory cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) contributes to the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders. However, there was no study concerning the relationship between IL-6 concentrations and clinical features in the chronic phase of early-onset schizophrenia (EOS). AIM: To investigate the relationship between serum IL-6 concentration and the clinical features of EOS. METHODS: We measured serum IL-6 Levels from 74 patients with chronic schizophrenia, including 33 with age at onset < 21 years (EOS group) and 41 with onset ≥ 21 years in [adult-onset schizophrenia (AOS) group], and from 41 healthy controls. Symptom severities were evaluated using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). RESULTS: Serum IL-6 concentrations were higher in both EOS and AOS groups than healthy controls (F = 22.32, P < 0.01), but did not differ significantly between EOS and AOS groups (P > 0.05) after controlling for age, body mass index, and other covariates. Negative symptom scores were higher in the EOS group than the AOS group (F = 6.199, P = 0.015). Serum IL-6 concentrations in the EOS group were negatively correlated with both total PANSS-negative symptom score (r = -0.389, P = 0.032) and avolition/asociality subscore (r = -0.387, P = 0.026). CONCLUSION: Patients with EOS may have more severe negative symptoms than those with adult-onset schizophrenia during the chronic phase of the illness. IL-6 signaling may regulate negative symptoms and its avolition/asociality subsymptoms among the early-onset chronic schizophrenic patients.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To assess the efficacy, safety, and impact on serum cytokines of olopatadine hydrochloride (OLP) combined with desloratadine citrate disodium (DES) in treating urticaria. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 114 urticaria patients treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Xinyang Vocational and Technical College from March 2020 to March 2023. The control group (55 patients) received DES, while the research group (59 patients) received OLP+DES combination therapy. We compared efficacy, safety (including epigastric pain, dry mouth, lethargy, dizziness, and fatigue), changes in serum cytokines (interleukin [IL]-2, IL-4, and interferon [IFN]-γ), symptom resolution (wheal number, wheal size, and itching degree), and 3-month recurrence rates. A univariate analysis was also conducted to identify factors influencing urticaria recurrence. RESULTS: The research group exhibited a significantly higher overall efficacy rate, lower incidence of adverse events, and reduced recurrence rates at 3 months (all P<0.05) compared to the control group. Post-treatment, the research group showed significant increases in IL-2 and IFN-γ levels and reductions in IL-4 levels, wheal number, wheal size, and itching degree (all P<0.05). Factors such as history of drinking/smoking, IL-2 levels, and treatment method were associated with urticaria recurrence (all P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The combination of OLP and DES is an effective and safe treatment option for urticaria, significantly improving serum cytokine profiles, alleviating symptoms, and reducing recurrence risk.

RESUMO

Pneumoconiosis is a common occupational disease that can worsen with accompanying infection. Torque teno virus (TTV) is a prevalent human virus with multiple genotypes that can chronically and persistently infect individuals. However, the prevalence of TTV in pneumoconiosis patients is still unclear. This research aims to detect the presence and prevalence of TTV in the alveolar lavage fluid of pneumoconiosis patients in the Hunan Province of China using PCR. As a result, a 65.5% positive rate (19 out of 29) of TTV was detected. The TTV detection rate varies among different stages of silicosis and different pneumoconiosis patient ages. Nine novel TTV genomes ranging in size from 3719 to 3908 nt, named TTV HNPP1, HNPP2, HNPP3, HNPP4, HNPP5, HNPP6-1, HNPP6-2, HNPP7-1 and HNPP7-2, were identified. A genomic comparison and phylogenetic analysis indicated that these nine TTVs represent five different species with high genetic diversity which belong to the genus Alphatorquevirus. HNPP6-1 and HNPP6-2 belong to TTV3, HNPP5 belongs to TTV13, HNPP1 belongs to TTV24, HNPP4 belongs to TTV20, and the others belong to TTV19. The genomes of TTV HNPP1, HNPP6-1, and HNPP6-2 contain three putative open reading frames (ORFs) coding for proteins, ORF1, ORF2, and ORF3, while the other six TTV genomes contain two ORFs coding for proteins, ORF1 and ORF2. These results provide the first description of TTV epidemiology in pneumoconiosis patients in China. The newly identified TTV genome sequences reveal the high genetic diversity of TTV in pneumoconiosis patients and could contribute to a deeper understanding of TTV retention and infection in humans.

RESUMO

Out-of-plane polarization is a highly desired property of two-dimensional (2D) ferroelectrics for application in vertical sandwich-type photoferroelectric devices, especially in ultrathin ferroelectronic devices. Nevertheless, despite great advances that have been made in recent years, out-of-plane polarization remains unrealized in the 2D hybrid double perovskite ferroelectric family. Here, from our previous work 2D hybrid double perovskite HQERN ((S3HQ)4EuRb(NO3)8, S3HQ=S-3-hydroxylquinuclidinium), we designed a molecular strategy of F-substitution on organic component to successfully obtain FQERN ((S3FQ)4EuRb(NO3)8, S3FQ=S-3-fluoroquinuclidinium) showing circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) response. Remarkably, compared to the monopolar axis ferroelectric HQERN, FQERN not only shows multiferroicity with the coexistence of multipolar axis ferroelectricity and ferroelasticity but also realizes out-of-plane ferroelectric polarization and a dramatic enhancement of Curie temperature of 94 K. This is mainly due to the introduction of F-substituted organic cations, which leads to a change in orientation and a reduction in crystal lattice void occupancy. Our study demonstrates that F-substitution is an efficient strategy to realize and optimize ferroelectric functional characteristics, giving more possibility of 2D ferroelectric materials for applications in micro-nano optoelectronic devices.

RESUMO

Aiming at the key problem of Na+ insertion difficulty and low charge transfer efficiency of activated carbon materials. It is an effective strategy to increase the lattice spacing and defect concentration by doping to reduce the ion diffusion resistance and improve the kinetics. Hence, anthracitic coal is used to prepare activated carbon (AC) and B,P-doped activated carbon (B,P-AC) as the cathode and anode materials for high-performance all-carbon SICs, respectively. AC cathode material has high specific surface area and reasonable micropore structure, which shows excellent capacitance performance. B,P-AC anode material has the advantages of extremely high specific surface area (1856.1 m2/g), expanded interlayer spacing (0.40 nm) and uniform distribution of B and P heteroatoms. Hence, B,P-AC anode achieves a highly reversible Na+ storage capacity of 243 mAh/g at a current density of 0.05 A/g. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations further verify that B,P-AC has stronger Na+ storage performance. The final assembled B,P-AC//AC SIC offers a high energy density of 109.78 Wh kg-1 and a high-power density of 10.03 kW kg-1. The high-performance coal-derived activated carbon of this work provides a variety of options for industrial production of electrode materials for sodium ion capacitors.

RESUMO

Purpose: Meiotic nuclear division 1 (MND1) is a meiosis-specific protein that promotes lung adenocarcinoma progression. However, its expression and biological function across cancers remain largely unexplored. Patients and Methods: The expression, prognostic significance, mutation status, and methylation profile of MND1 in various cancers were comprehensively analyzed using the TIMER, GTEX, Kaplan-Meier plotter, cBioPortal, and GSCA databases. Additionally, we constructed a PPI network, enrichment analysis and single-cell transcriptomic sequencing to elucidate the underlying mechanism of MND1. Furthermore, we investigated the association between MND1 expression and drug sensitivity using CellMiner. Moreover, we also explored the correlation between MND1 expression and immune infiltration. Finally, we validated the functional role of MND1 in breast cancer through IHC staining, CCK8, EdU, colony formation, and flow cytometry assays. Results: MND1 has been reported to be highly expressed in Pan-cancer, High MND1 expression was significantly associated with poor prognosis in cancers. Additionally, MND1 mutation frequency is high in most cancers, and its expression correlates with methylation. Furthermore, MND1 expression significantly correlates with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) markers, including PD-L1, PD-1, and CTLA-4. The PPI network reveals interactions between MND1 and PSMC3IP, BRCA1, and BRCA2. Enrichment analysis and single-cell sequencing indicate that MND1 positively correlates with cell cycle. ROC curve reveals favorable diagnostic efficacy of MND1 in breast cancer. In vitro, MND1 overexpression promotes breast cancer cell proliferation and increases the expression of key cell cycle regulators (CDK4, CDK6, and cyclin D3), accelerating the G1/S phase transition and leading to abnormal breast cancer cell proliferation. The immunohistochemical analysis revealed a robust expression of MND1 in breast cancer tissues, exhibiting a significant positive correlation with PD-L1 and FOXP3. Conclusion: MND1 is an oncogene and may serve as a biomarker for cancer prognosis and immunotherapy. Targeting MND1 may be a potential tumor treatment strategy.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have investigated the potential effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on improving symptoms related to Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, these studies have produced inconsistent results, leading to a need for further investigation. METHODS: A comprehensive search was conducted, including articles published from the initial availability date to 5 April 2024. The extracted study data were analyzed using STATA 12.0 software. The standard mean difference (SMD) and a 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated to assess the effects of tDCS. RESULTS: A total of 18 studies assessing the effects of tDCS on AD were included in the study. The study revealed that tDCS has an immediate positive impact on general cognitive, executive, language, and visuospatial function. However, the study did not observe any other significant effect of tDCS treatment on improvements in brain function, including long-term effects on general cognitive, attention, language, and memory function, as well as immediate effects on attention and memory function. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, the study suggests that tDCS may be a promising intervention for improving the cognitive function of patients with AD. However, given the complex and multifactorial nature of AD, further well-designed studies with larger sample sizes are necessary to clarify the effectiveness of tDCS and determine the optimal combination of tDCS parameters.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Psychological intervention nursing (PIN) has been considered to have a curative effect on cesarean section (CS) postoperative recovery. However, the therapeutic mechanisms remain obscure. AIM: To explore the effects of PIN combined with acupressure massage on CS postoperative recovery. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted on 150 pregnant women admitted to an obstetrics department between January 2020 and January 2023. The control group (CG) received acupressure therapy (n = 73), and the intervention group (IG) received acupressure therapy and PIN therapy (n = 77). Postoperative recovery time was assessed by anal-exhausting, defecation, bed activity, breastfeeding, and hospital stay times. Adverse effects, including infection, bleeding, limb numbness, intrauterine hematoma, urinary retention, and venous thromboembolism, were recorded. the pain visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the degree of pain. Anxiety and depression status were qualitatively assessed using the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS), and Edinburgh postpartum depression scale (EPDS). The Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was used to compare sleep quality between the groups. RESULTS: The baseline data and SAS, SDS, EPDS, and PSQI scores did not significantly differ before CS (P > 0.05) and neither did complication rates between the two groups after CS (P > 0.05). However, anal-exhausting, defecation, waking up, breastfeeding, and hospitalization times were significantly shorter for participants in the IG than those for participants in the CG (P < 0.05). The VAS, SAS, SDS, EPDS, and PSQI scores of the IG were significantly lower than those of the CG (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: PIN, combined with acupressure massage, effectively promotes maternal recovery, reduces post-CS pain, and improves postoperative negative emotions and sleeping quality.

RESUMO

The tectonic background and sedimentary environment during the transition period from the Ordovician to Silurian have been widely studied by many scholars. This study focuses on the Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation and Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Bajiaokou profile at the southern margin of the Qinling Orogenic Belt in southern China. In order to study the aggregation mechanism of organic matter, geochemical proxies were proposed, including redox proxies (V, V/Al, U, U/Al, Mo, and Mo/Al), paleoproductivity proxies (P, P/Ti, Ba, Ba/Al, and SiXS), paleoclimate proxies (CIA), and terrigenous flux proxies (Al, Zr, and Zr/Al). In addition, Al-Co[EF] × Mn[EF] is used to provide information on paleoenvironmental parameters such as watermass restriction conditions. The redox proxies show that the Wufeng-Longmaxi shale is mainly accumulated under oxic-dysoxic conditions. During the shale deposition period of Wufeng-Longmaxi formations, the marine surface primary productivity in the southern Qinling area is generally low to moderate. The paleoclimate proxies show that from the Late Ordovician to the Early Silurian the southern Qinling area generally had a warm and humid climate. The upwelling current is widely developed in the northern margin of the Sichuan Basin and the southern margin of the Qinling area. Although the upwelling current was highly developed during the deposition of the Wufeng Formation in the Bajiaokou profile, the concentrated accumulation of a large amount of volcanic ash resulted in the low primary productivity of the ocean. During the sedimentary period of the Longmaxi Formation in the Bajiaokou profile, the development of seasonal upwelling currents and a small amount of volcanic ash supply increased the primary productivity to moderate, which provided a good material basis for the enrichment of organic matter, but the high detritus flux and the water body condition of oxic-dysoxic resulted in the slight enrichment of organic matter.
